Brilliant service all round. I called David initially to replace a smashed garage window and 3 double glazing panels. He arrived early and assessed all the work without any fuss, advising the best way forward. They were all Georgian bar windows which added an extra layer of complexity to measurements etc. All were measured, glass bought and fitted perfectly within a week, as per David’s promises. In addition to this he fitted two new much needed door locks, realigned a back door which was a nightmare to close/lock, reset a patio door which was letting in a draft and readjusted the front door lock. He also tightened up all of our windows to help with insulation. All of this was done professionally and for an excellent price. Unfortunately for him (!!) I’ll definitely be using him again and would 100% recommend him.

Searched on GOOGLE for local Locksmith, went by the reviews and was really happy with the service David and Co carried out, They replaced an old, hard to source lock, due to it's age and was really friendly and efficient, price was exeptionally good as he had to search for a replacement part and came up trumps, work was also done in good time as I was away in between calling and work being done. As my mum is elderly and the work was for her, I wanted someone I hoped I could rely on and be trustworthy which I am pleased to say I was able to do, I would definitely recommend Clay Locksmiths to anyone with a lock problem, Thank You.

Having read David's reviews with many happy customers, I called him to discuss the problems my tenants were having with the double glazing doors and window at the house. David discussed options to fix the problems and also let me know the costs I could expect which sounded reasonable so I booked him in. I found him to be efficient, experienced and pleasant to deal with. Repairs were done by David within the budget he quoted me, if I need any further double glazing repairs, I will certainly call him again as it has been a good experience using his services. My door got jammed in the intense heat yesterday (19 Jul 2022) and I could not open it. I Googled and found one and just based on reviews I called David this morning and he came along a couple of hours later. A real gentleman and he managed to sort the door very quickly and also corrected some problems with the doors that were not correctly fitted by the installers. A real gentleman, very efficient and he knows exactly what needs to be done. His charges were very reasonable and I cannot fault his workmanship nor his charges. Thank you David.

Phenomenal experience with David. He was extremely knowledgeable on the phone about locks and was able to deduce the problem after I provided him with a narrative. He was clear about the prices, telling me the least it might cost and the most, then he came out the next day to fix the problem. What he predicted on the phone was wrong with my lock, was accurate and he charged me exactly what was quoted on the phone which was the lesser price. A reliable and honest service. David was fantastic. After locking myself out the night before and having been completely ripped off by another locksmith, who damaged the door and lock whilst trying to gain entry, David arrived within an hour of me calling to diagnose and fix the issue. The lock left was pretty much useless, however David managed to fix the problem in no time and left us with a secure and useable lock. I really can't recommend his services enough, professional, courteous and fairly priced.

David was faced with a large upvc bedroom window that wouldn't open and was also lopsided creating an intensive draught. If he hadn't been able to correct it then my only route would have been to order a new window costing in the high hundreds. To his credit David solved the problems (yes there was more than one) causing the situation. Top class work by a very polite chap. You won't find anyone more professional, that I guarantee.

David answered straight away and asked for photos to try and diagnose the problem as my lock was acting very peculiarly and I couldn’t shut my door without having to use a key. We had lost our keys to the back door. David was brilliant. Excellent communicator, easy to book in. He confirmed apppointment, arrived early and fixed the door and over-delivered on service by fixing some other issues with the door and lock. I will recommend to anyone and very reasonably priced.

Very fast service. David was friendly, punctual and professional. Would highly recommend his services. We have an old door but he managed to source a new lock and mechanism within 24 hours. He fitted a temporary one until that one arrived. The door is now it's working as good as a new one. .

We used David for fixing the hinges and locking mechanism on some old windows and to make them close tighter. The skill of fixing as opposed to replacing seems to be lost on most but David clearly knows his stuff and charges a fair price for the skill involved. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend

Locked out with keys as barrel broke on front door. David arrived within 10 minutes and managed to open the door. Replaced the barrel and tested multiple times to ensure the problem was addressed. Extremely reasonably priced and friendly service. Highly recommend indeed!
