What a disaster Uber Eats can be - ordered from CHLS and the Uber order was missing an item (not CHLS’a fault it didn’t show on the Uber order). Spent 35 minutes on the phone with Uber Eats, was transferred 5 times to different divisions only to be told I need to contact the store regarding my order. Which I knew was incorrect, because the store has nothing to do with it but weary I called and stated my case. Obviously it’s not their fault and they couldn’t do anything, it’s was Uber’s mistake. Ended up ordering another item and Josh the person I spoke to was easily a breath of fresh air after talking to the horrific Uber service team, was able to send my missed items for me. They threw in a little note and some swag cuz they knew I was frustrated! So sweet and now I’m in a much better mood. Thanks CHLS and Josh and a pox on the Uber Eats customer service team!
Unprofessional staff who have no idea of doing the simplest thing like canceling a transaction. I had to go there 3 times to talk to the manager about my purchase and when I eventually got a hold of this lady I found her so rude and aggressive. I’ve been a customer for quite a while-since they started there- but there is no respect, recognition and appreciation towards the customers. She wasn’t eager to help me in any possible way. Just wanted to get rid of me quickly. It was the end of my shopping in that store.
A nice selection of some of your more interesting wines. They are starting to identify vegan specific wines here, that is to say the fining process of the wine does not use an animal product in the manufacture. The store was quieter and one of the cashiers came out and asked if I needed help, so we struck up a conversation, where it was apparent he knew his stuff. I would recommend this store with the use of the advice of the staff, there is some good drinking in this store.
Stopped in to purchase our limit of wine to carry on a cruise. With the selection being different from what I'm used to on the east coast, we asked the staff for assistance and the lady was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We gave her a price range and our taste and she gave many suggestions. She wasn't pushy about BC local offerings but did point them out for consideration . Three of our four bottles purchased were BC local.
It's close by and quite ok, good selection, but not a cheap selection. Service is basic. Great for all the hotels in the neighbourhood. Locals can find a much bigger and better selection elsewhere in the city. Like I said, it is a fantastic place for hotel guests. And the sign board writer is funny too, I always get a chuckle from the daily messages. I recommend this place.
Give you four stars for the security who was very nice, minus a star for the pink haired girl with the kill all men vibe. Literally did not say a word when I said hello and throughout our interaction. Super awkward when she wanted me to tap and literally walked away from the till as I paid. Dunno if she’s a mute or not, but didn’t make me feel nice.
What a privilege it is to live across the street! As I am sipping a glass of their store recommended 2008 Italian trio, I felt inspired to write this review - the store selections are excellent, the staff is super friendly, and their speciality is selective/rare/hard to find bottles arranged in an eye pleasing way. Shop here, you will love it!
They had security at the door (or maybe the manager... Anyway, this person was dressed in plain clothes and built like a bouncer) but he was very welcoming. So, it was non-threatening security but you knew he could take care of business if need be. The store was nice. The staff was friendly. We found what we needed very quickly.
Always great to get out west and stock up on BC wines. As its insane we can't get them, odd time you see a few on the shelf but NOT often enough, out east here. Stopped into this store, and a wonderful greeting from staff and wow a wonderful selection. My suitcase was certainly heavier on the Return. Thanks a bunch
The overall selection is somewhat limited, but it's in a convenient location at W. Pender and Bute. They offer beer, wine, and liquor, including both international and local brands. The sales people are friendly and helpful. I'm not local, so I can't speak to the competitiveness of the pricing.
A little expensive but very conveniently located for me. They sell beers by the bottle. They have Wheelchair accessible entrance. They have decent selection of eveything and the staff are super helpful. They rarely run out of a particular bottle and the store is very clean and well organized.
Poor inventory high prices it's less than two blocks to the giant BC liquor store that has everything and let's face it if it's in the store they have to buy it from the BC liquor board. Always lots of good stuff on sale at the BBC liquor store never any decent sales here.
Amazing store in Vancouver I just discovered with a fab selection of BC wines . Found this Malbec from Else of Okanagan falls which was recommended and really good wine ! Knowledgeable gentleman that helped me today and had a good conversation on wines. Thx …
Terrible customer service guys. I got there around 10:50pm and a rude guy at the entrance locked the door and said that they were closed. I showed him the time at my phone and he literally said "go home". You guys need to be more careful about this behaviour.
Staff are repeatedly condescending and short tempered when approached. They have product they only sell to select clients (white ppl). When asked why they wont sell the wine, they asked me to leave. No fuss, gladly did. Yet another racist store in Vancouver.
This is the best liquor store ever. We stayed at Fairmont Pac Rim and champagne from uber eats came in 12 minutes, wayy faster and cheaper than room service. Ordered multiple times during our stay and everytime came quick and cold. Super highly recommend!!
Not a lot of spec selection, mostly major brands and the mark ups for wine are atleast 10% more than it should be compared to other private stores in the area. Spacious layout but lacks diversity in product, especially in beer and spirits
Since the Coal Harbour Liquor Store provided the worst service I've ever experienced today and racism was involved, I'd like to ask that hiring officials exercise great caution when making their selections. Thank you and enjoy your day.
Beautiful store, but seems to only cater to wealthy folks; I was looking for a reasonably priced bottle of wine, but everything was over 20, 30, 40 dollars and higher. Nice staff, and prices seemed fine for things other than wine.
Forgot my wallet and was not able to pay with Apple Pay because their card machines have no tap technology... common guys, it's 2019 out there. I understand when small local shops don't have it but not liquor store...
On the smaller side but has all the important stuff. They carry bitters and some local craft products which is nice. They have a point program you can sign up for if you're going to be a regular.
It is big, bright, clean and there is a huge selection. It is nice. The prices are much higher than the government liquor store. I guess that you have to pay for the high rent and taxes somehow.
Condescending staff. One time rudely denied my friend and I because we met a new guy at a conference who didn't bring his wallet. He waited outside and we were still rudely turned away.
Attractive looking store with decent selection, however I felt that some of the prices reflected the upper class of the area. Overall a good store though with friendly staff
The team was super friendly! As a native women I’m so used to people following me around the store but the team was suuuuper friendly. Made me feel like an actual human :)
Amazing customer service, super friendly, and genuinely wanted to help. They had such a nice vibe that even my very timid rescue dog accepted a treat from two of them :)
Selection is limited and upscale; more focused on wines or liquors than on beers coolers or ciders. Beers available are more local skewed. Priced slightly above average.
Friendly and helpful staff. Great layout of the store. Wide selection, there's few items that you can't find elsewhere. Although it is a bit pricier than BCLiquor.
Friendly staff, eager to help. Prices are a little higher than normal, I'm sure it's due to high cost of real-estate. It's close to several hotels. I'd go back.
Little pricy, but very good service, convenient location and business hours. I don't mind to pay few extra dollars because it worth it in my opinion.
Super friendly, good vibes, and when they knew the liquor I wanted flies off the shelf, they offered to put it on hold. Awesome service, keep it up.
This is the worst liquor store in Vancouver that i have ever been It is the most expensive one also If you have another choice Choose the other one
Not much of a Choice. If you want real beer and more options. Go to a different Liquor store.. Over priced. Door Man needs to relax.
Although not as large and diverse as BC liquor, the shop has plenty of selection, friendly staff, very good hours and even delivery.
The slightly higher prices I will tolerate but the rudeness of the staff I won’t. Also they have the audacity to ask for a tip
worst place ever. rude staff. dont know whats wrong with them, literally started a drama out of nothing. literally confused.
Very nice Liqour Store pretty good selection you might not find the beer your looking for here but they have loads of wine
Good selection of popular liquor brands. Wine selection is good but not expansive. You will find something suitable there.
Good assortment of liquor products a couple of blocks from the Vancouver sea wall with very friendly knowledgeable staff!
Great service. Dogs are welcomed which helps when walking my dog and being able to make my purchase at the same time.
Classy and nice. Good selection. Could have a little bit more beer, but it's a wide enough range for me to be happy.
Really friendly staff, interesting selection of local beers. The points program is simple. I’m now a regular :-)
Surprisingly good selection. Bit pricier than BC Liquor but the staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable.
I really like this location. The prices can be steep but Im pretty sure that's because the location is so nice.
Not a bad selection but the staff made me feel really unwelcome. I wouldn't go back, there are better stores.
Nice People....wines are really high priced due to taxes. Not their fault. They are as nice as can be....
Disgusting. I prefer the Id vut he aske my firjend. And reject. I dont ynder stand wht he do right that.
nice staff, but items are waaaay overpriced - like if a 7-11 sold wine. Consider BCL on Alberni&Bute
Really respectable selection and reasonable prices. The gentlemen were very friendly and helpful.
Very nice liquor just abit pricey that's all. Great hours too always open til 11pm 7 days a week.
Average selection, high prices, but nice and helpful staff. They sell the more luxurious stuff.
Good selection and great location. The staff are friendly, specialty items may be ordered in.
Quick and efficient. Service was friendly. Prices were a bit more expensive than in Ontario!
Staff are friendly and helpful. A good variety here that the government stores don't carry.
Went in. Practical fainted at the prices. Left!! Gov't Liquor store was much cheaper. Wow!!
Good selection of wine. They were categorized by country and very interesting to browse.
I finally found my wine here. I looked all over the city and they had it. Daydreamer!
the guy who checks your ID, very bad behavior, they should change it for a better one
Very beautiful store and good selection of wines. The staff is always ready to help.
Extremely knowledgeable staff. Helpful in picking out the best whiskey. Thank you.
The shop is small, but they managed to have almost everything you are looking for
Friendly staff, very clean and bright store but limited amount of craft beer.
It's a liquor store not much more to say, other than the staff was friendly
Great selection of VQA wines. What a lovely treat to see smaller wineries.
A lot of wines but only a few beers. Clean and cozy. Also staff was kind.
Very classy liquor store, good for wines but not great for beer/ciders.
Friendly staff, decent wine and beer selection. Limited street parking.
Solid store around the corner, near everything. Had a nice selection.
not a bad place to pick up a few beers if no other options available.
Wonderful staff. Great hours. Been going here for years and years.
I give it only three because Thay don't have strong beer like 8%
One of the best classic barber hair and beard trims I have had.
there were many vines. Especially, staff recommend local vines.
Decent craft beer selection but slightly on the pricier side.
Pet friendly liquor store. Good choice like BC liquor store.
Staff are so friendly and they have a pretty good selection!
small little wine shop with limited selection, average price
Good selection of wine and beer, also, knowledgeable staff!
They had a cardboard cutout of Gretz so who could complain.
Amazing collection of liquor in the store. Friendly staff.
Not your basic liquorstore. Good service and fancy liquor
Good place to buy liquor and beer. Presentable and clean
The people working were very knowledgeable and helpful.
Interesting selection. Very poor Spanish wines options.
A great variety of wines not found in signature stores
Solid. Plenty of choice. Not a discount store though.
Great selection and always there for you late nights
What a lovely place and such a helpful staff. …
Knowledgeable staff. Better service than bc liquor
Great place with some wonderful wines and spirits
Good selection and a very nice store environment
Fantastic selection of local BC wine and liquor.
Great place. Great selection. Friendly staff.
Awesome selection with really friendly staff.
Great BC gin selection and knowledgable staff
Great liquor store in Vancouver bank district
Good selection. Great service. Kinda pricey.
The beer I was looking for was not available
Little bit expensive but good & nice place
