"We came to get our renewed HK SAR passport, applied online and then HK government arranged and sent it to this Consulate General of China Visa Service centre for us to pick up! Within one month the office called us to come and pick up already! The receptionist officer can speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese with super efficiency and super nice manner finishing the work for us in 15 minutes! Awesome experience indeed! "

"They don't answer the phone or emails"
My husband and I want to express our heartfelt appreciation for the outstanding service we experienced during our visit a few months ago. The travel document processing officer demonstrated professionalism and helpfulness. We extend a special thank you to the front desk staff for his enthusiastic and attentive assistance. His expertise and help enhanced the positive experience, making our visit more pleasant. We also want to mention that the document inquiry email service was effective. The responses were not only swift but also provided helpful information. All these services ensured a seamless and efficient travel document application process, making our trip to Shanghai successful, where we were able to follow our travel plan precisely. Thank you!
I went to renew my passport this morning, best experience ever! You can find all the info on their website, just read carefully. All the stuff are very friendly, I have everything prepared and it takes no time. The whole process takes around 2 min (in and out the building), amazing. Tip: it’s good to have your picture in CD and bring it with you. They even do not need actual pictures if you have CD. The lady in front desk told me that they can help adjusting the picture from CD in case it does not meet the requirements. (I think they may asking for CD for everyone renewing their passport?)

Confusing information in passport section. It says online reservations are OPTIONAL: 申请人也可网上预约申请办理中国电子护照. It is not optional but required. Also, do not follow this: 并刻光盘一张; save your money and get it digital. That page has not been updated since 2013, the information is outdated (yet it is still available for some inexplicable reason). This is the website for passport renewal: ppt.mfa.gov.cn/
They don't answer the phone or emails. The wait is incredibly long. They gave me incorrect information that cost me lots of money and time, and they were very rude. There was also a mini riot or angry people due to the security not knowing the hours. In the end I never got my working visa and had to accept a different job in a different company after waiting for 4 months.
They should have the instructions on their website instead of just the blank forms and bunch of irrelevant information and news. Things we write down might be used as legal documents, not everyone knows about how to write them. If they could think about the whole process applicants have to go through, their jobs will be easier too.
Very very good service! Extremely polite and efficient. I went to renew my passport, and it was super smooth and efficient, as long as the online preview is done, the rest is like finger snap. The recipient is polite and helpful, knows a lot of stuff! My person experience is flawless and I can’t find a tiny bit to complain.
Long waiting on emails, didn’t give out proper details for applicants to follow (no directions on how to pay application fee), wasted my time (been waiting for months on my passport and twice UPS deliveries (and they ended up didn’t use my cheque for the application fee), the apps has so many bugs and errors
The service is terrible !! No Help line, the website is very confusion!! It is very confused with Visa office . If you google, it showed one telephone number , if you go online it shows different one. You dont know which one is right because you got no where to get help.
On entering the 1st floor there was a security booth similiar to ones in airportI. I was here to apply for a tourist China Visa. The gentleman at reception told me as it turned out not to be at this location but rather at the Visa site located at 250-999 West Broadway.
Great service and really efficient. I got there at 11:10 and finished everything by 11:40. The key is checking the information on their website and preparing the documents before going there. However, they also have printing and photo service there too.
I barely write any comments at all but since everyone is basically rating this place bad with negative comments so I feel like saying something. I went there this morning for passport renewal and I would rate it as a good place in general.
1595, 200A W Broadway, Vancouver, BC V6J 1W6 Wrong address convention! Unit number first, street number then street name. Do something good please. Should be: 200A, 1595 W Broadway, Vancouver, BC V6J 1W6
Very fast service. Staff are incredibly nice. Screw the Local Guides — this is genuine China’s Consulate. Of course the spam callers will fake their numbers to match but this place is legit.
Just went there for my passport renewal, the service is patient and efficient as long as u prepared all the documents they need. The official website is useless though
I renewed my passport recently in the Consulate General of China Visa Section. I was warmly treated as I went back home. I have to say " I Love You My Motherland ! "
I just went there and got my passport renewed this morning. The process was in general professional and pleasant. I would give it a five star without reservation.
I can not believe that! The stuff here are awful! They are not nice, and easy get angry. Can not be patient!!!Actually,I do not want to give here any star!Zero!!
been trying to call them, send them detailed emails regarding my issues, but line is always either busy or no one picking up, and no email replies
This has been a completely frustrating experience. Not only was their website no help, it made me more confused than I already was.
Don't visit here if you are Canadian and looking for a Business Visa to enter China. You need to go to the Visa Service Center.
The website never tells you the full list of required documents which leads you making multiple trips. Very annoying.
I would like to say "Thank you" to Mr. Wong who is friendly and polite. I found all staffs here are nice.
Great service. Efficient and updated via email at each step. The employees are professional and nice.
Busy as always so make sure to come as early as possible. Fairly efficient if you come well prepared.
I wanna rate here for no star.. The employees here are so rude, impatient, and so easy to get angry
Simon was very helpful. He goes above and beyond to assist. Great service.
STOP CALLING!!! They will leave a voicemail in Mandarin. Block the caller
Efficient, but attitude is disgusting. I'm offended even as a Chinese.
Staff were rude and impatient, but relatively efficient.
Great and fast service! Much better than the one in SF.
Absolutely good service! All the staffs are helpful!
bad attitude, and no responsibilities for customers
Much nicer than Chinese Consulate at San Francisco.
very disorganized, slow, impolite. What a joke....
They processed my passport renewal really fast.
Very quick service. Need schedule online first.
Great service. Much better than before
scam # . Do not trust. Fake address

Rude, slow, and discriminating
Does not answer their phone
