Very disappointed! Bought 2 cook out trays, With corn dogs and one of the trays had a upgraded to a shake. What did we get not what we usually get a small little shake I pay extra for that I always get a regular size. We also asked for mustard and ketchup etch up we got 1 mustard 4 honey mustards no napkins no ketchup. So I asked for Mustard on the side my cashier KEYASIA said they didn't have any so I asked do you not put mustard on your sandwiches, she said yes, I said OK could I have a side of that. Her response' rolled her eyes and completely ignored me, this is customer service really? I go to cook out at least 3 times a week. Is this a new thing ignore the customer your loyal customers. I just wanted a side of mustard and then the trays sides if you want to call it that. Yes our sides were Cajun fries which was more cajun than fries and cheese bites, which were 5 little bites that were the size of a dime did we get the bottom of the bag? I may as a loyal customer give cook out another chance but I'm not really feeling it!! This was very very disappointing shame on you cook out.

This cookout is very packed all the time. There's good reason for that though because it is got great food this is Cook-Out that I go to it's a little bit further than the one right down the road but this one's a better one always fast foods always fresh and the staff is always nice. Don't matter if you go through drive-thru or you walk up window still the same fast nice and friendly service. The parking lot more than another fast food place and even with that the parking lots always clean easy to manage and get through and it's very convenient for me to hit on the way home from work. And I am a true fat kid at heart so I'll try a little bit of everything on the menu. Plus the sweet tea there is so much better than the other fast food place that claims they got the best sweet tea. So far the narrow it down load of picking the favourite I would probably have to say the barbecue tray with a strawberry milkshake. So if you ever around this one stop phone in grab you anything off the menu it'll be worth it.

Update: 11/27/22 First off the guy taking my order must be new or mad he was working a Sunday. Never saw him before. . Darkening with bald head older- 1 he called me a "sir" which already annoyed me, 2- our food was under cooked and cold. 3- he was upset that he didn't hear me ask for an additional item although I said my order was complete. I tried to order b4 pulling up to the window. 4- his whole demeanor was off... maybe he had a bad day idk... 5- they gave us old unsweetened tea when we ordered sweet tea and Arnold palmer. I ended up throwing out both meals including the drink. There was no point returning since clearly the day shift is ok with putting out bad food n poor Service. So much for grabbing a quick lunch... Every Time not once this has happened but They never put everything on my burgers the way I asked. I be feeling like I got robbed because either I'm missing tomatoes or lettuce. I'm like did they run out when I order my trays. A Big double/ mayo/with cheese extra onions tomatoes and lettuce. No nugget extra fries. Got home didn't have no freaking tomatoes. Like for real. Then the burger meat was small. The size of the onion that was on the burger was bigger than the meat itself. Like it's ridiculous. Every time thou. The first time I go through the drive thru I check my box and see that my order is incorrect. They put Fries in my box when I asked for corn dogs. So I go through the drive thru again and explain what happened. Than I get my order of supposedly corn dogs that he said both of them was in there and come to get home I have a box of onion rings. Like seriously I just wanted my corn dogs that was all. And the burger was burnt I didn’t eat nothing but the onion rings. I don’t like to complain but I worked in restaurants before and I make sure the customers order is decent and correct. I tell you food service isn’t the same like it use to be. It’s like you workers don’t care about customers. I want to get what I paid for and I want the food to be good when I Pay for it. Not some slackness tasteless food. I won’t be competing back to no restaurant at all. Only reason I did that was because I just got off work and didn’t feel like cooking dinner.

When we pulled up only one lane was working initially. We ordered, everything went fine, we got up to the window and I asked the woman to read back our order because the pricing seemed off. She just glared at me for a few seconds. No response. Just a dirty look. My girlfriend asked the question again, thinking maybe the woman didn't hear me, but she just continued staring before whispering something passive aggressive under her tone, and reading back our order with an attitude. The whole atmosphere was pretty hostile from her for no good reason. They had taken the order correctly, so that was good, and my girlfriend was very courteous when speaking with her but the friendlyness was absolutely not reciprocated. On top of this, we were not given straws, and they did not place an item in our bag. Pretty disappointing.

The cookout on Freedom Dr is sooooo sad! I can't blame this on the young generation. BUT this young adult that took my order with big, thick, dirty threads took order and drink was incorrect, sandwich was incorrect. After receiving incorrect incorrect sandwich, I let him know you know you gave me the wrong drink sandwich. His exact words/reaction was" just take the stuff off the sandwich dang." I was in disbelief. He was mad at me bc my order was not correct. Had I not had my husband on speaker phone and heard the entire conversation. The outcome definitely would have been very different. At any rate I will NEVER visit that location EVER again. They don't need one star..this guy need training from Chick-fil-A!

Honestly couldnt even finish my food it was half raw on the inside and burnt on the outside . I order onion rings and white cheddar bite. This location is so mismanaged compared to the location in University. They'll stop using the second line but give no indicators. Not so much as a traffic cone. You'll pull up and just no one takes your order. Every third time im here they make my burger wrong (cheese bacon tomato plus everything) and I have to ask for the quesodilla sauce that I already paid for or else they'll forget. Honestly this is a standard experience everywhere other than the university location in Charlotte. there only two people who seem to enjoy working here on any level. Everyone else is angry all the time. Food still taste good though and it's conveniently close to home so I still go occasionally.

They close too early compared to their actual closing hours. They close at 3am normally, but will sometimes say they’re closed around 2:30, so they can leave at 3am. They do this “sell off” tactic where they claim to only have BBQ sandwiches and fries around that time. Not sure if it’s management or just them being lazy. I’ve been coming here for years and this change is pretty recent. Any other restaurant you can pull up at 5 mins until close and still get what you want. Not Cookout. They lost touch with customer service. Too lazy now.. Also be sure to thoroughly check your food before you leave. They have a tenacity to mess up even the simplest of orders. Smh..

The service here was always really bad and slow particularly when they were busy. This location stays pretty busy during weekends and at night. A lot of times you could barely understand the person talking through the intercom or they could barely understand you which was super frustrating. Listen I get it you're making minimum wage you don't give a s*** about this job but you know go back to school or do something better with your life don't take it out on strangers. The food was always pretty decent though. You've been one Cook-Out you've been all of them. They don't take American Express.

They made my food wrong and then called me a mental patient when he came back and wanted to argue that the food was right to begin with. Nope it had onions and I’m allergic to onions so while you’re arguing about what’s wrong you could have been hit with a lawsuit if I had taken one BITE of that wrongly made burger. Then the manager heard him call me this name and wanted to join in. The WORST customer service EVER! They stay making food wrong. Focus on that and not the mental health of your customers. Get the burgers right and then let’s talk. Simple individuals.

Cook out has great food.... but every single time i to one they mess up my order. I just left the one on Sharon amity 5 minutes ago and when i got home i noticed that the sand which i ordered with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, and mayonnaise only came with cheese, pickles, and mustard. Nothing i asked for. I called the number i found online to this store and no one answered. If you ever go to any cook out please check your food before you leave. I swear I’ve been to cook out over 100 times and every single time my order has been wrong.

Terrible service. Was charged for three trays but only got two. Spoke to the manager, middle-age bald black man, and he basically told me to **** off and won’t help, even though I showed him the charge on my account. This location is full of sketchy employees. This is the second time I ordered food here in which my credit card is charged more than what is on the receipt. Watch out for the people who take your order, especially around lunch time (12pm - 1pm) in my case. If you order and don't hear how much it cost during drive thru, that's a red flag, pay with cash if you have any on hand to avoid surprising surcharges ($4 - $5) on credit/debit card. Employees are probably doing this to pay for their own meals.

Absolutely terrible all around. The staff is consisted of the rudest people I have ever met with the absolute worst attitudes. They will also purposefully give you less food than you ordered because they know you won’t go back around considering it takes 45 minutes just to get through the first time (even if there are only two people in line). I have never had a good experience here and highly recommend driving a little further to any other cookout in the area. Avoid this garbage location.

I honestly love cook out but this location is one of the worst locations I’ve ever been to the workers are beyond rude. I ordered two milkshakes and a quesadilla and when I got to the window the worker mumbled half the time which I’m pretty dude was stoned but Rudely handed my order and slammed the window after repeatedly asking him what he was saying. Aside from taking 20 minutes for three items you get treated like trash. Save yourself the headache and go to another location !

The little white girl at the drive thru was rude and unprofessional. She served me with no bag, no napkins, and won’t even ask if I needed a sauce like other employees do. On top of that, she gave me the wrong order. I had to park outside and walk there to have the order corrected, which was time consuming. Also, my order included a drink. Usually, I get a large drink but she served my drink in the small container, for some reason. All this was not welcoming at all.

They're usually ok but tonight they really tried it! After ordering, going to the window and asking her to repeat the order for accuracy, and getting told that I would receive what I order I was expecting to receive just that. After not receiving that we returned to the window only to be pull up and then demanded to pay an additional $1.07 for the correct food. The money wasn't the issue. The principle was! I asked for it to be repeated for a reason! Get it right!

Cashier rushed and over talked me at the speaker, got to the window and my my order was wrong...got my shake and it was wrong...drove off an took a sip of my drink & it didn't have any ice in it. Went back an manager going to say the ice machine down but NOBODY said that to me. Asked for a manager 7 times before I got one. Other cashiers in the store asking why am I yelling , because the service is poor. That's why.. Then my food was so poorly made .. Ugh

The service is poor and the employees have no customer service skills. The manager that was on duty today got offended when tried to inform her about the cashier poor customer service skills. They need retraining on customer service skills and how to speak effectively and respectfully when working a public job. The management needs proper skills to be a professional manager with the public. I will never revisit this location and give no stars.

First off we waited in the drive through for 10 minutes after being asked to wait, while the other line was going through normal. So after waiting 10 minutes we pull up to the window where I can get out and order. I ordered a chicken strip tray and they give my 5 chicken nuggets instead. On the other tray we ordered nuggets for a side and they give 1 nugget. Terrible customer service! Don't recommend!

Guess it depends on the Cookout you go to. My burger today was a disappointment. See pic... so small & dry. Looked like sausage patty. . The onion rings and corn dog was good. I had ordered two trays a steak style tray and a nacho cheese style and got two different meals and it’s disappointing because we ate them but they where dry and salty. We also spent 16 nearly 17$ and the meals we got was 15$. The sweet tea was very warm and we missed out on eating our cheese bites as well as our fries so we are very disappointed. COOK OUT u have lost my trust :(

I just recently moved near this cookout location, and have visited this location on 3 separate occasions. Each time I have visited this location some aspect of my order has been wrong, whether one of the sides on the tray or the entire cookout shake itself is wrong. I understand mistakes happen, but 3 different times, I only want what I pay for not asking for miracles out here.

If it's 12 pm and you're really dying for some munchies this place has got you covered. You're gonna have to either sit in your car or drive thru and leave cause there aren't any chairs, but that minor flaw is compensated for in just how amazing the food is. I've been eating here on a weekly basis, it's down the street from my work. Never had a single messed up order.

I swear I pay for Cajun fries and end up with regular fries in my food everytime i go to this location. Even the fries were over cooked with no salt period..... Have been through the drive-thru a few times now and I am super impressed with the speed and accuracy of service. The chicken tenders seem to be getting too breaded but that might be a corporate thing. My husband likes his food plain so it is very refreshing to be able to rely on a place that is accurate with orders. Thank you!

Pro tip, no one here seems to know cookout has 2 lanes, the cars will be wrapped around, don't be scurred don't be discouraged, just skip the lane and take the 2nd Menu! Seriously. This particular Cook-Out had a young lady that worked the drive - through window, 5/4/21, at about 9:PM. She was very dissatisfying and seem to not be able to get a small order correct. The Cook - Out in question is located on Sharon Amity road, near Milton. The intire shift seem to be under chaos. I had a bad experience.

The delicious smell says it all. Great variety of items. Definitely not gourmet cuisine, but that's not why you're there. Like 40 different yummy and unexpected milkshake flavors. Late night good to go. I only do drive through instead of getting out the car and ordering at the window. Just doesn't feel really safe.

The service could have been better. How can you take the order, repeat it back to me but put something totally different than what I ordered in the bag? Then the corn dogs were burnt. So no I definitely won't be visiting there again.

This Cookout is such a great place to get fast food at a great price. My experience has always been great with them. I always get the hotdog tray with chili and ketchup and it never disappoints. The milkshakes are some of the best milkshakes ever and there's so many to choose from. Great job over there guys!

I came here with my husband for a midnight snack. Got two milkshakes one strawberry-banana and the other blueberry cheesecake. Both were off the charts! They also have a wide variety of shake flavors and some seasonal such as the Eggnog shake (which is also amazing)

The Cook Out is a great place!! The food is wonderful and ya get plenty of it!!! All the employees are super nice and polite. They got the best milkshakes in town. The prices are very fair. I cant wait to go back!!! Try the Watermelon Milkshake it's the ultimate!!!

This is the best Cookout spot I've been to. They have two drive drive through lanes and a walk-up window, and despite being packed most of the day, they are fast. I've never had issues with any of my orders either.

This Cook Out is serving shakes in a smaller cup but charging that same price, the one on WT Harris Blvd still uses the correct size cup.There has been two chocolate chips in their mint chocolate chip shake.

Cook out big double beef hamburger tray is one selection I would recommend. I was real pleased with the fast service the taste, the amount of food and price. This is a good deal for a hungry working man.

Great shakes & food - lots of choices & ways to customize your order. The peach cobbler shake is a must when I'm in town. The "tray" is more than enough food & the prices are very reasonable.
