Our first experience with CORNFORD ELECTRICS was when CRAIG replaced two switches at my elderly grandmother’s home. During his visit, he kindly demonstrated how to test the safety switches in the switchboard/electrical box – recommending that we do so annually. Promptly diagnosed fault. Made situation safe. Despite raining cats and dogs late that night, he persevered. A very clean and tidy worker. Was respectful of our property. Picked up and disposed of even the smallest pieces of waste. **Most recently @ my mother’s Home** JACK installed: - 3 x Ring Floodlights Cameras - Ring Video Doorbell Camera - Porch light - Replaced x2 weatherproof powerpoints - Replaced x1 switch **In Summary** JACK provided valuable input regarding ideal location of fittings. Stayed on site until all Ring devices were connected to the app prior to leaving. Completed the Certificates of Electrical Safety (COES) whilst on-site too. Very well organised. Even received the Receipt of Payment shortly after too! The team at CORNFORD ELECTRICS are very polite and continue to be an absolute pleasure to deal with. Overcharged without a compliance certificate. I was charged nearly $400 to do an ignition repair an oven in a rental property. The job was done on a Friday. I received the invoice by email on Saturday with a follow up text message to let me know the invoice had been sent. I replied with a 'thank you for the letting me know' and advised '...I would pay the invoice as soon as I get confirmation from the tenant...' I thought this was fair enough as I didn't want to pay for the job before confirmation the job had been done. Clearly not. I proceeded to get a bunch of passive-aggressive texts harrassing me for payment based on '1 day tems' and letting me know 'businesses should not have to give you a line of credit'. I was pretty stunned by this. I assured him I would pay the invoice within 7 days and just needed a chance to confirm the job was done. I reminded him a flat fee for a one-off service is NOT a line of credit. Threatening text messages a few hours after you have sent an invoice on a weekend is really poor etiquette. The invoice said two visits on one job. So I was essentially charged for the quote. I also did not receive a certificate of electrical safety even though it states this on the invoice and is a legal requirement. So bad.

We contacted Cornford Electrics for a safety inspection of our new home, and to install new powerpoints and data. We were very impressed with Craig's informative and professional approach to the inspection, which began with the initial phone call and continued throughout the process. Craig and his employee, Jack, conducted a thorough and detailed inspection, telling us exactly what works needed to be completed to bring our home up to current standards, and providing good consultative advice on the additional work we wanted - accomodating last-minute changes and providing additional detail. When the job was booked in, Jack completed all the required and requested work promptly, efficiently and with great care. He was highly professional and friendly, with an excellent 'can-do' attitude. The standard of work and attention to detail was great. I would not hesitate in recommending Cornford Electrics for your domestic electrical needs.

I was recommended Craig from a colleague at work. He was super responsive in answering my call quickly, understanding my problem and organising one of his team to be at my property within a couple of hours. Not the usual run around trying to get hold of your average tradie and trying to get them quickly. One of the team (Jack and his assistant) arrived on time and as promised - Jack was extremely polite and professional and took time to listen to the challenges we had. He was methodical in identifying the problem and moved quickly to isolate the right sockets and get power back up in our property. He explained everything elated by step and went the extra yard to comment on other things related to the issue. Very impressive and an overall high quality end to end experience. Not only did Craig turn up on time (as arranged) the job was done without any issues. During our conversation Craig recommended that I should check the safety switch at least once a year and proceeded to show me how to do so. Whilst checking the switch we discovered it was actually inoperable and naturally would have been useless if an appliance had shorted. The Cornford Electrics team was professional from the day I rang in for a quote, to the day the job was completed! When my smoke detectors needed replacing, it prompted me to do the ring around. While at it, I would ask for new dimmer switches and additional power points to be installed around the house . I didn’t realise how challenging to would be to find a reliable electrician! ENTER CORNFORD ELECTRICS!! :D I called Cornford Electrics following a friend’s recommendation and was pleasantly surprised at the quick response and friendly service I received! Craig was polite and thorough when we walked through the details of all the job. On the day the job was scheduled, Jack was on time, efficient and tidy. I can’t thank Craig and his team enough! After having ongoing power outages throughout our entire house for a couple of weeks, I contacted Craig and from the minute he picked up my call, he was so incredibly helpful, patient and happy to explain things in a way I could actually understand. He and his team were professional, and they did a fabulous job of putting our house back together again! From upgrading our fuse box, installing new light fixtures and switches, upgrading our smoke detectors and installing a new oven, they were also able to identify a fault in our fridge (all in the one call out)! Craig was very professional in the way he explained the possible issue i had with my power supply board. He sent his employee in Jack to check the problem and found that our power supply board needed upgrading. He provided a reasonable quote and Jack returned to perform the upgrade. Both Craig and Jack were polite and professional in the way they treated us. We had a very positive experience with Conford Electrics. They responded quickly to a request for a quote, provided a competitive quote, scheduled the work within a week of accepting the quote, arrived at the stated time, were friendly and were happy to additional tasks I had failed to mention to the job (at an additional cost). They even came around the next day and installed one more light fitting I forgot to mention. All the work was done professionally. They provided the compliance certificate promptly after completing the work. Would definitely recommend.

I can't say enough about the amazing service we received. Craig is quick, professional and true to his word. He came out within 24 hours and assessed the situation and had his employee Jack at our house within the week. Even on the day when we changed what we needed and added a couple things there was no problem at all. I was very impressed with the speed in which Craig contacted me, more impressed with his punctuality and explaining problem to me in laymans terms & even more impressed with the way he dealt with the energy supplier to get a result that was in my best interests. The work was completed at the allotted appointment and from what I can see to a very good standard. I cannot recommend Craig and his team highly enough.

After purchasing a property with extensively dodgy wiring, Craig and Jack were able to provide an in depth electrical safety report and fix all issues quickly and efficiently. Craig was a pleasure to deal with, initially he tried to fix problem over the phone but issue was more serious. Due to the urgency of the matter, as I didn't have any electrical power to the whole house, Craig arrived in a very timely manner. He explained what the issue was and the process to fix it. Craig is a thorough professional - would recommend him for any electrical work. I recently got him to install pillar lights and a pendant light on the benchtop.
