Worst experience we've ever had with a Country Inn and Suites! (I have never left a bad review. Ever. But this needs to be addressed.) It's summertime in Florida, yet they don't run the air conditioning in the hallways. They explained that it was so they could save money. It felt like the heat was running. The front desk employee was so ill, he couldn't even speak to us or answer any questions. He then proceeded to throw up in the office behind the front desk area. Lovely. In order to keep our room cool, we had to continually run the air conditioner at a ridiculously low temperature in our room- we had to choose between constantly having to get up to restart it or turn it down so low that we froze all night. It had to be turned down to 48-50 to stay on longer than a couple of minutes. We were there with our 15 year old & our 2 & 1/2 week old baby (who'd only been home for about 3 days. She'd spent her 1st 2 weeks in the NICU.) The temperature in the room was hard on our newborn. They put us in a room the 4th floor. One bed. They did, at least, find us a roll away bed for our older daughter. We requested a crib. They told us they'd bring one up. But it never came. So our infant slept in her swing. (Glad we brought it.) The phone in the room was broken. The button to call down to the front desk didn't work. So, we had to make our way down the very hot & stuffy hallway & take the elevator down 4 floors to the lobby if we needed to speak to someone. We tried calling the front desk from our cell phones, but no one ever answered... The sick guy behind the counter obviously wasn't much help. He looked absolutely miserable, like he may have even had the flu. He should have been home, not at work spreading germs. There was exposed wiring in the elevator. To add to this, the bath tub in our room leaked all over the bathroom floor. We had to use all of our towels just to soak up the water to keep from slipping. The paint in the room looked like it was done by a small child. There was paint splattered on the door knobs, light fixtures, even on the furniture. We were shocked. Country Inn and Suites has always been a favorite hotel of ours and even though they are a little more pricey, they always make up for it because they are such nice hotels. It's worth the money. Unfortunately, we had no choice but to stay at this one. We were displaced from our home for a few nights after hurricane Irma. This Hotel received no damage from the storm, nor did they lose power. This cost us over $350. This may not seem like a lot of money for some people, but it is to us. Especially with a brand new baby.

First, let me say that almost everyone who works here was very nice. All of the front desk staff was nice, especially Mavis. The only person that was horrible was the lady that worked the breakfast buffet. I asked her to clean a table for us because most of the tables were dirty. She tried to give me the dish towel to wipe the table. She told me she doesn't wipe tables, she works in the kitchen. If she works there and doesn't wipe tables, why would she give me, the customer a cloth to wipe the tables??? I don't work there. A guy came out to wipe the table and only wiped our table. Most of the other tables were dirty also. I think more attention needs to be paid to that area. The hotel is in a good location. The breakfast buffet food is pretty decent. The pool area is good. They kept baked cookies and coffee in the lobby. It's close to D & B, restaurants, and not far from other attractions. Now, for the rest of the hotel...they were constantly out of wash cloths...didn't get more than four our entire stay. One of the front desk clerks told me that he thinks people are stealing them, so they are using hand towels as wash cloths. Imagine taking a shower with a hand towel...not comfortable at all. We found an empty Coke bottle and a beer top in our room. When housekeeping cleaned the room he/she left both trash cans in the middle of the floor. The hotel is very old looking inside and the elevator sounds scary. I know the hotel can't control this, but both days we were there, we caught the smell of marijuana being smoked in and outside of the hotel. It said no pets, but there was a dog barking in the room next door to us. This could be a nice hotel, it just needs a re-haul, a makeover, an upgrade, something.

We were having a quiet, relaxed time a with a very nice, helpful, professional staff till Tuesday 6am. I woke and went for a little breakfast for later when I wake up for the day. A loud woman approached with many questions, who am I there with, his name, my name, my room#, etc. She said she needed my ID on file. I told her again I would do that. Minutes later, she was at the door screaming at both of us, yelling she told me to bring ID and gave me an hour. We never imagined there was a time issued to deliver it nor did she specify a time frame. Again, this hotel had been pleasant, quiet, for days, a friendly, relaxed staff, we didn't dream this was suddenly an emergency situation we tried to explain. She yelled it's good we enjoyed it because we would never be allowed to stay at another country inn, she would make sure, she said she remembers us from other times there and we caused trouble every time. She refused to take my ID, demanded bring it down to the front desk and threatened if we did not immediately, she would call JSO to have us removed. We never stayed there before this stay. I tried to get a room there few weeks ago, she was extremely rude that day too, said pool don't work, gym don't work, there's no breakfast, I told her just needed a room, I was just tired, then she said oh well, we just got booked solid. (However, a few days later, she had charged me for a room anyway, $168 reporting me a no-show) ?? We áre still in shock that this woman mistreated us like this. And he is still in the hospital.

It’s a decent hotel, but for the price, I expected a little better service. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable (although the pillows were lacking). Upon checking in, I asked the front desk if it would be possible to arrange for a taxi in the morning. He said no, but he could give me a list of local taxi services. I reminded him three times before I got the printed out google page. Not the hotels fault, but two of the taxi services on the sheet provided were no longer even in business and the others were closed. I ended up calling the front desk to explain that I was not from the area (obviously, since I require a hotel) and I was having a hard time finding a cab. He said he would call one for me to pick me up at 9 in the am. In the morning, as i suspected, the new front desk associate had no idea what I was talking about and no taxi was arranged. I also asked if they had a list of food places that delivered to the hotel. The front desk staff directed me to a pile of mishmash brochures advertising local businesses. I took a few up to my room, only to realize none of them delivered. I guess I just expected a little more. Generally speaking, people who stay in hotels are not familiar with the area they are staying in. Hotel staff are much more knowledgeable and I would think that they might have put in a bit of effort to help make the stay less stressful, but no. Also, for the record, they do not allow pets.

I spend a lot of time traveling, and spent almost $5000 at this hotel in 2017. I'm there A LOT! The first time, I remember saying I wouldn't return. They were doing renovations and there were some creepy looking guys working for them lurking in the parking lot. I ended up giving them another chance due to rooms being extremely high at other hotels the next time I was in town. I also am a Club Carlson member so it helped that I received points to stay there. It was and has been a lot better! The head housekeeper is a very nice woman that has come and whipped it into shape. I had to say something about the housekeepers opening the door before announcing themselves and she fixed that immediately! The only complaints I really have is that sometimes there can be some unsavory characters hanging around since the rooms are fairly cheap and I also believe there is a coupon making it cheaper. Also, I REALLY wish they would get new pillows. Very small and I always get a neck cramp if I forget mine from home. And last, new shower heads. There is really good pressure, but it doesn't push through to the head. And they use some sort of water softener that I LOVE but I think maybe they use a little too much because you never feel like the soap is washed off. Very soft water, but with a little more water coming thru, would be no issue. I didn't think I liked it at first but notice when it's all gone. And my skin is amazingly soft when I'm there!

The people are nice. Everyone has been great. There’s just so many marks I can take before I have to just post about how negative. The hotel has potential it’s an old Hampton but housekeeping sucks. They’re nice and sweet and I love that they speak English but I don’t know if it was people before them or other people on their team or what but I can’t handle all the dirty, dingy, stained up towels - that do not have a fresh smell even though I know they’re fresh because they were warm. No bathmat in my bathroom. It took four hours to get towels. Some of the cleaning. bottom of the mirror is disgusting I don’t even know what it is. The shower knob has got some kind of goop on it. There’s mold on the bathroom wall beside the handle. The microwave has not been cleaned properly. The refrigerator doesn’t keep things cold. Other than that the bed is nicely made even though they left feathers in my room but I think that’s because she had to change rooms because the key wouldn’t work to the other room after a couple tries. Lynn was very sweet at the front desk. Ashley seemed like a really nice girl. She did housekeeping. There were several others I met and interacted with but I didn’t get their names. The room smells clean. The carpet looks pretty clean. Like I said, they have potential to be better they just need to get more help obviously

We are Radisson Rewards Members and our family stayed in 3 different Comfort Inn's on this Spring Break Trip Alone. This was the best one we have ever stayed at! We arrived early and went in, to just check and see if the room happened to be ready. It was not, which was fine and she stated she put a rush on the room and to come back in about 1.5 hours. We saw from the other reviews that your room key will get you 20% off at the Dave & Busters, that you could literally walk to. She gave us a key to show. We came back about 2.5 hours later as the kids were having a great time playing the games and the room was still not ready. The sweet gal at the desk was obviously frustrated and apologetic and told us it would be another 30 minutes, HOWEVER she also gave us a nice discount on our room due to the inconvenience. We really appreciated that and had no problem waiting out in the lobby area, where cookies, water and coffee were available. Nicest room we have ever stayed in with literally two rooms adjoining and 2 bathrooms which was great with 3 teenagers. Breakfast was great and the place was so very pretty and clean!

I’ve stayed here on and off for years due to work and although it needs some renovations I can attest that I least get a piece of mind there. I travel extensively and have stayed at many hotels and CIS for the money isn’t bad. I’ve stayed at $200 a night hotels in San Diego and LA that had no microwave, had bugs, thin walls , and were noisy. I’ve stayed at hotels in this area that had no parking, roaches, trash in the corridors, and very poorly cleaned rooms. Any kind of breakfast or coffee was not available. Ok, I get it, it needs renovations and slowly but surely it’s happening , but people need to realize ALL hotels in any price range have some issues. Ever had a bunch of kids stomping over your head in a $350 a night corporate suite for a week and there was nothing staff could do about it? Ever had landscapers who came out daily and blowed dirt all over your Porsche everyday because they HAD to clean the parking lot? I get a good nights sleep, the manager and staff is great, nobody disturbs me or my vehicle , I pay a decent rate, and the highway is right there. I’m good and it always could be worse

Horrendous experience. The cleanliness of the rooms were sub-par. The shower head had pink mold and the tub was flaking off from old age. Their was an abundant of dust in the room and there was an odor throughout the building. The sheets smelled of a strange funk. Although their was clearly signs for “No Smoking” there was a literal cigarette butt on the 4th floor that was used. The ice machine had rusted out areas and showed neglect. The elevators were very “used” in appearance. Although the staff was friendly, their front desk operators could not provide assistance and seemed rather lost without their management when resolving an issue. Although their breakfast is free, I did not consume anything as their fruit did not appear to be appetizing. Pictures online do not reflect actual appearance of the building and rooms. I ended up cancelling or attempting to cancel my room but was told I needed to wait for a manager that never called or showed up even though corporate called them multiple times and ensured me their manager would call me back. 0/5 stars if I could.

This was a rough one. First impression upon walking into the building was an overwhelming smell of marijuana in the vestibule. Staff was very friendly and, subjectively, the music choice was great. Unfortunately that's where the good comes to an end. Taking the elevator up I noted loose screws and an inspection certificate that expired almost a month prior. Out of the elevator and walking to my room highlighted stains and spots in the floor. Once in my room, the carpet stains surprisingly got worse. There was a reddish brown trail leading from the door to the back of the room leading to a very large stain that looked fairly set in. Looking away from the carpet, I noticed things like trash from the previous resident left around and strange marks on the bed/wall. The bathrooms were certainly not the reprieve I had hoped for, either. The shower walls were cracked and there was hair in the tub from residents past, and there were quite suspect marks in the toilet bowl. Even the soap was used. In the end I chose to sleep in my car.

The location of the hotel is good and the 2 or 3 times we spoke to the front desk they were polite. The room on the other hand needed to be remodeled, from the door that was obviously painted, (and not very well) to hide prior damage to the shower floor which was also painted over and chipping away. The shower may have meant to be a walk in shower but it had an inch lip to separate it from the rest of the bathroom. The shower curtain was not long enough to stop the water from puddling over the lip to make the whole bathroom floor wet, which could’ve been dangerous. The furniture is worn and chipped. Finally the rugs in the hallways and room don’t look like they can be cleaned anymore. My husband’s biggest complaint was that the cleaning staff came knocking on the door each morning to ask if we were “leaving today”. Thankfully it was just a long weekend trip. We will not be returning to this hotel and will hesitate staying at any Country Inn.

First room our bathroom flooded and overnight bag and socks were soaked. Was given a second room that smelled like marijuana. Said there were going to get us an air cleaner and never did. Never given access to a washer and dryer for our clothes. First stop at a coin laundry the next day to ensure we didn't pick up any roaches or bed bugs. Scan through the reviews and avoid staying here. I contacted the hotel several times and never received a response. I called the corporate office several times too and all they could was document my report. I receive a discount of 50% off. Same rate it would have been with the highway book coupon book. It is not about the money - I wanted to be treated like the guest that we were and not the bother we had to become because of the room conditions. Reading reviews on several sights for this property shows me that the staff really doesn't care. If they care so little, I wounder what happens with the cleanliness behind the scenes.....

  • C B

Room was musty and smelly - hallway carpets were filthy and bleach stained - elevator was ragged, dirty and did not have mandatory permit hanging in it. I paid full price expecting a pool and was told under renovation day 1 - then day 2 was told it was due to covid - when i said there were no covid exceptions out anymore Joe got rude with me - department of health closure sign on pool - door to side entrance filthy - very saddened that this hotel carries the Radisson name. Asked for discount due to pool and was told NO - asked for mgr Jamie and Joe said he was manger and refused to tell me when Jamie would be in. Apparently I should have read these reviews prior to booking - I do not see how you can advertise a pool and fitness area and not have one (for atleast 12 months according to these reviews) and still charge a Radisson hotel price - do not stay here

UPDATE They charged me for more days than I was there, and when I called to clear up the issue nobody would answer the phone. If you plan to stay here pay with cash. Cheap, safe accommodations but they use scented cleaners in the room and main hallway. Might not be an issue for some, but personally I don't like all the chemicals and my body doesn't either. Breakfast was very basic, but the waffles were good. More fruit and yogurt variety rather than a single type of yogurt would be good. I am used to those options at similarly priced hotels. I woke up after the first night with some hives on my arms. Not sure if it is from the detergent they use or what. If you need cheap accommodations this place is acceptable but if you're sensitive to perfumes in some cleaners and detergents, proceed with caution. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. But I would not choose to stay here again because I like my space to smell like nothing.

I was disappointed with the service and cleanliness. We arrived at almost 11pm. We had made reservations online. The guy at the desk took his shoe off to kill a roach on the check in counter as he was checking me in. Then our room ac wasn't working. I called the desk and all he said was I'll write it down and hung up. I had to go downstairs to make them give me another room with a working ac. My reservation was for 3 ppl yet they only provided 2 towels. The next day I had to call and request housekeeping come and provide us with clean towels and freshen up the room. Note, it was obvious this room had not been vacuumed previously because we found a credit card under the desk. Housekeeper came and took all the towels and the rug. Replaced it with two towels and no rug. And refilled the coffee area with just decaf coffee. This place was definitely not worth my money and I've checked it of the list as a do not use again.

So I was sort of dreading this hotel since some of the reviews were so bad, but I got a great deal so I said hey I’m gonna give it a try…… The best thing about reviews preparing you to brace yourself is when you are very delightfully surprised to actually have an amazing experience. This is my 4th visit to jax and I’ve stayed in Wyndham garden, Hilton garden, sonesta, and so far this hotel is my favorite. 1. Super quiet inside room and super comfy bed even tho I was next to elevator I heard no noise 2. Tons of parking and tons of entrances 3. Soaps and shampoos it offers are great, lots of towels. 4. The manager was friendly to me. 5. Everything worked perfectly and no complaint at all. 6. Haven’t seen any bugs or roaches Sure there is some wear in the room and a stain here and there but it’s really nothing more than what I see in any hotel. Thanks! Will update this review if anything changes but I’m very happy !

  • J McManus

First impressions-they have updated/renovated the place. But in some ways it's noticeable in kinda not a good way. The doors are older with poor paint jobs and they don't shut easily (you have to make sure they close) and some of the paint jobs are shotty. The breakfast area is very nice. Worst part-my sheets had NOT been changed. I pulled them back and there was hair and a stain (tomato stain/seeds?). There was also a noticeable urine mark on the toilet and the bathroom floor was dirty-I was going to let that slide but once I saw the sheets..nope! Best part-the worker that night changed my room with no hassle and upgraded it. He also walked with me through the room to make sure everything was OK. Overall-my impression of the place was ruined by the first room I got. I felt kinda gross staying here because of that. Otherwise my new room was fine, breakfast place newly updated.

This hotel was not up to my standards nor is it up to today's times. If I had to guess, I would believe this outdated hotel was purchased as is with no updates in the making. From the beginning to the end this was a nightmare. Carpet is outdated, due to covid19 restrictions everything should be done on an app check-in and checking out. The rooms; the walls were damaged, furniture was damaged (too many scratches) Carpet was outdated, and the decor was bland. Not sure why the grass was not cut, but as I toured other locations their grass was trimmed. Look, the bottom line, I would not recommend this location or perhaps any country inn suites by Radisson. First time visitor (family) last time visitor Radisson, if you are getting this many negative reviews, maybe it's time for a representative to show up and teach the owners on how to represent the company's name.

  • Dennis Traywick

The hotel was absolutely filthy. The hall carpet on the fourth floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. The carpet in our room was never vacuumed the entire time we stayed, which was 10 nights. The side door was unlocked all day allowing anyone to enter the hotel. At night it you had to use your room card to get in, the only problem was there were people hanging around outside the door wanting you to open the door for them. At times this door was kept from closing by people putting things between the door and frame to keep it from closing. Very unsecure hotel. The elevators were in bad shape also, even the inspection permit was out of date by three months. Country Inn and Suites should be embarrassed to call this place one of their own.

Normally I have great things to say about the Country Inn and Suites chain. But this is absolutely the worst one I've ever stayed at. For starters the property upkeep on the outside was poor. Grass looked liked it hadnt been cut in over a month and there was trash all around the parking lot. The inside wasn't much better, the halls and elevator were dirty and the room had trash behind the door that housekeeping hadn't bothered to clean. The beds were Ok and comfortable. The bathroom had a shower that leaked, the shower curtain had stains on it. Bathroom had NO tissue paper.. The only good part of my stay was that the staff was friendly and tried to accomidate. I wouldn't reccomend this property unless changes are made. I won't stay here again.

This place has nice staff and they do have wonderful customer service. There was the wonderful lady,Harmony she is really respectful and nice. There is also a wonderful worker his name is mike he’s really respectful and nice. The downfall of this hotel is the tidiness. I did wanted to say the 4th floor has the largest stain marks. The room I was staying in had mildew smell in the room. The furniture had wood chipping on it . The carpet is sticky and wet. Lamp light was blowed . Also due to Covid there is no pool and fitness room . But there is free breakfast in the mornings at 8-9am . There was fun on my lamp shade. There was hair on the hair dryer. Phone does not work .other thank that it was good .

I was staying in this hotel before my major surgery at the Mayo Clinic. We had a room on the first floor. The boiler is on the fourth floor so there was lukewarm/cold water on the first floor. Taking a shower was short and unpleasant. After 2:00 am the fire alarm began to go off intermittently. I stopped counting after the 5th time. We waiting for the manager to come in the next day. After 10:30am we got frustrated and checked out. We prepaid for our rooms. The manager did refund us for all of our money except the night we stayed. The front desk staff was apologetic and helpful. They did their best to make a bad situation a little better. I won’t be returning to this hotel despite the front desk helpfulness

I wish that I could leave -5 stars. This place is absolutely disgusting. The bathroom tile was COVERED in black mold. The bathtub drain/fixture was COVERED in green mold. Room smelt like mold. Mold on wood furniture. Basically mold everywhere. I had to request a new room due to the mold. The new room wasn’t as moldy, but still had mold. Bedding sheets were stained and smelt old, headboard looks as if it has not been cleaned since they opened. I did not feel comfortable sleeping on the bed so I had to request extra towels and linen to have a make-shift bed. Honestly, it looks as if covid originated in this hotel. Once again absolutely disgusting for $126 a night. You will be better sleeping in your car.

Man that works on the night shift during our stay (caucasion with dreds) liked to spend his entire evening outside the doors and to the right smoking pot. Filled the whole seating area and breakfast area with the smell. We were traveling with our child and were not haooy about this. Water did NOT get hot in the shower and the power went out and there was no generator that kicked on. Music playing over the intercom was full of curse words. Side entry door does nit lock even thougg there is a card entry. Pool was closed. Will not stay there again. Only giving 2 stars because the room was very clean so good job to the janitorial staff! I encourage the private owners to actually monitor their staff via cameras.

If I could leave a negative review for this cesspool of an establishment, I would. There are huge areas of bleached out carpet all throughout the first floor, the rest of the carpet is being held together with duct tape. The gym and pool are still closed and breakfast is a no go. When we opened the door to our room we were greeted with an overwhelming odor of must and mold. The grout in the bathroom is disgusting with long black hair all over the bathroom floor. The carpet all throughout the room is wet! We had to lay down the towels out of the bathroom just to walk in the room. And since housekeeping is also non existent right now we can not get additional towels for a shower. This room should NOT be rented out!

  • Darryl Lucas

HORRIBLE. This place was disgusting. Stains everywhere (carpet, walls, tub, furniture) and the entire place smells bad. They moved me from one room to another that was worse. I picked up the phone to call the desk, because we had no hot water, the toilet flow was slow and it clogged, the refrigerator froze everything. BUT...the telephone was not working. The board of health should close this place down. Nothing was kept from the grounds to the exterior of the building to everything inside. I hope this review save someone else from experiencing what I did and wasting their money like I did.

There are great things about this hotel and some not-so-great. But, nothing that would really prevent me from coming back. They've done some remodeling and added suites (2 adjoining hotel rooms made into a spacious suite with 2 full baths) but some details are still dated. Some of the fixtures in the baths, some of the public areas, and features in the room. But nothing that detracts from your stay unless you need the most modern looking place. The staff was very nice!!!!! Towels were not replaced on day 2 and they brought plenty very quickly after we called. Breakfast was full- lots of choices. Check-in and check-out was easy and fast. Great value for the price - especially for the king suite!

  • Pam Schaefer

First impression, it looked nice. Cleaning solution was very strong when we arrived, so you'd assume it was clean, which it was. However, in our room, it only looked like an older hotel trying to look newer. The tub/shower surround was painted to look new. The carpets were still old and grungy. But what was not cool was the breakfast. There was hardly anything there with more than 1.5 hrs left of service. We went out for breakfast after that. Upon checking out, the breakfast server was talking on her cell phone while looking at all the empty containers while guests were waiting for food. Also, they offer free cookies at the desk. The same ones were there for the four days we were there!

  • T C

The staff is friendly The building is a little older but all the amenities are there. The breakfast buffets gone you can just grab an apple or a prepackaged donut or something head out the door but as far as location it's right off of 202 so it's a good location but kind of difficult to get in and out of because of all the traffic. Only thing within walking distance as far as food is Dave & Buster's never been there. My experience was a little weird but only because some strange people were staying there not sure if they work in the area or whatever but it seems to be there for a couple of days. Other than that it was a good experience. No issues.

  • Alexis Thompson

Lynn at the check front desk was exceptional. She signed us up for discounts with hotels and with Dave and Buster's across the street where we were going for my son's birthday. She was conscientious about our needs, offering extra towels at the desk. The facility is a little old but it is clean and looks newly painted. The beds are comfortable, the sheets clean. For less than $100.00 a night you can't beat this place. Friendly people, clean facility, free Continental breakfast in the morning. You're not paying for the Hilton so don't come here expecting it and then give them a bad review because of it. This is a great hotel for the price.

  • Kathy Lawson

The guy who checked us in was very helpful and pleasant. He have is complimentary Waters. The rooms are clean, nice, comfortable. Air conditioner was already on in the room. The beds are comfortable there is an extra pillow and sheets in the closet. Overall we had a very pleasant stay for a very affordable price with great service. There was hot breakfast, there was omlet with pepper ham and a station for toppings, bacon, potatoes. There was oatmeal and toppings station, yogurt, waffle station, and breads with Bagels toast and English muffins. There was cereal and milk. There was coffee orange juice apple juice cranberry juice and water.

  • Brian Stayer

Bathroom was in need of a make over. Bath hook falling out of the wall, tile in the shower had the spray over rebath covering and it was peeling off and dirty between the tiles. The side of tub had major paint clumps. Receptacles in the room wouldn't retain the plug (they were so worn out). The pool was covered and the area was just bad looking. There were 2 high points...the bed was great, and the TV was large and newer. Breakfast choices were slim, even for continental. I'd recommend another hotel, maybe we just got "the old room"?

Highly recommend this property!!!!! Wonderful, nice, & helpful employees there! From the front desk to the housekeeping. Very nice people!!! The whole place & rooms are always clean really well & smelling good when you walk in them after checking in, even the hallways are always wonderful smelling! Beds & pillows are very big & comfortable! The complimentary cookies is THE BEST!!!! & definitely can’t forget their great, fulfilling, nice complimentary breakfast every morning!!! Have such a huge selection to choose from including 4 types of cereals, 3 hot plates, and that’s hot including stuff like oatmeal & pancakes... A MUST STAY!!!!!!

  • Laura Dufrene

We have always trusted in staying at a Country Inn and Suites hotel until this stay. As soon as we walked in we noticed the hotel smelled, it was dim and had no A/C. The elevator was creepy with no certifications. Our room smelled musty and was dirty. The desk chair had holes all over, the shower and refrigerator had mold and mildew. The shower was lukewarm at best. The pool and fitness center has been under construction for 4 months but nothing has been been done. On a positive note, the breakfast options were good and the morning staff were very nice.

DO NOT STAY HERE. THIS HOTEL IS DISGUSTING. There were horrible stains everywhere, obvious water damage, broken things throughout the room, dirt and dust everywhere, bad smells, what looked like blood on the lampshades. We had a baby with us and there was no way we were going to sleep here. We asked for a refund but the front desk said we would have to talk to Priceline since we booked through them. Priceline won't give us a refund because they said the hotel has a policy of no refunds. We were there less than 10 minutes- we ended up at the Marriott.

The hallways are really dirty and kind of gross. Our room wasn't the best. The pillows were uncomfortable and the blankets were not designed for a king bed. The bathroom wasn't fully cleaned. There was hair in the shower and on the walls. As we were walking out one day, one of the housekeepers was making questionable remarks about women of another race than her. I definitely would not recommend staying here unless you can't find anywhere else. The front desk agent, Pam, was the best part of staying here. She was very friendly and helpful. She was able to find a pack n' play for our daughter and let us check in early.

  • David Seymour

So I have to be honest, this was not one of my best experiences in regards to a hotel stay. I will say that staff was friendly which was the positive. However, the cleanliness and the carpet needs to be addressed ASAP. We did not feel comfortable using the shower, there was a lot of dust from things not being cleaned prior. The refrigerator was unplugged and had a nasty smell when the door opened. The area has a lot of competition from other hotels so i would think they would need to adress some of these issues quickly.

Under renovation, sites didn't mention but staff was very upfront and honest right off. The rooms have a urine smell. They offered to refund but obviously a inconvenient for me at least minute late at night. So I just made due as my grandbaby was just born and I wasn't going to be there much. Bed was nice, fully furnished, bathroom could have been cleaned more. Would have loved a hot breakfast but again with them not being up to par with the work being done. Have faith it will be great once all work is done as long as the front staff stays.

My sister and I along with my dad spent a week at the hotel, while dad was having surgery at Mayo Clinic. Everyone and I do mean everyone was so friendly! Daily they inquired about how my dad was doing, wanting to know if we needed anything! We literally felt like we were treated like family! The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and the morning breakfast really good too! I have been recommending this hotel to everyone! Thank you to the staff and owners for a great stay at great prices!

We stayed one week in Feb 2020. The rooms are very poorly cleaned. You can smell humidity, smoke everywhere in the hallways and in the guestrooms corridor. The carpets stink like they have never been shampooed. Bath and hand towels she supposed to be clean but always had some hair stuck inside them. Breakfast during covid only included packed sugary cakes and cereal bars, not even bananas or eggs to feed kids healthy stuff. So really a bad experience and I wouldn't stay there again neither do I recommend it to someone who's looking for a clean place to stay.

  • Jim David

Will not go back. Older place and it shows. Room was good and was clean. Floor was carpet that has seen better days. Bkfst. Was still like covid extreme yuck. Big sign in bkfst. area that food can only be in food room so my wife could not have food as I normally take to her. On TV was Housewives of New Jersey. Not exactly justified for a place of business. Most of guests seem to live in hotel and seemed to have govt. paying for their staying. Seemed like a neighborhood that we didn't belong. Although there were no totally uncomfortable moment's.

  • Tajuana Huston

I currently in my room at this hotel now and it's absolutely disgusting. There is a baby roach crawling around in the bather, 2 holes in the wall, stains in the carpet and it smells like cigarettes. There a two broken down refrigerators sitting in the lobby and a lot of broken down furniture. Darien at the front desk was cool but he has too many responsibilities....he was mopping the floor when we arrived, answering phones, baking cookies, checking us in and then he stated that he will be the person cooking breakfast in the morning.

  • Jarrod Sebrell

our stay wasnt terrible. everyone was nice and the rooms were okay. But when we got back to our room some of our stuff was stolen. The room was locked so it had to be one of the workers. which whoever did steal our stuff didn't do a great job because they left black and mild wrappers in the room. ( none of us smoke black and milds). so no I would not reccomend staying here. the hotel isn't terrible but they may have some untrustworthy employees.

I checked in on Monday to stay for a week. As soon as you arrive in your room, here comes the bad smell. It was a musty smell or mildew or something. I sprayed my room down every single day because every day I arrived the smell was still there. The water in the shower doesn’t get hot until at night. That sucks too. As far as the location it was quiet, I would say a good location. The beds were really comfortable. The carpet felt nasty too

I didn't need much since I was staying overnight for work. the hotel location was convenient and the room ended up being comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and made my stay rather easy. The morning breakfast was surprisingly good and got my day started off right. The only complaint I had was that the fridge did very little to cool down my drinks. I went the whole day with warm drinks. Not much of a complaint, but ended up being noticeable as the day went on and got hotter. Otherwise, a solid stay.

  • Cory Hromada

I was horrified to be charged twice for one room, card thieves, that wasn't even that nice, in the photos of the establishment it looked to be a nice place, turned out to be a nasty run down place, pool was shut down because it was GREEN, side door was broken and unlocked 24/7, elevators were 2 years passed inspection, 4th floor carpets were stained dark, room had an odor and was dark even with the curtains open! NEVER STAY HERE

I have actually delivered groceries here before! The owner reported them missing and has actually done this to other shoppers here as well. I think that maybe the corporate office should be made aware of this. It’s stealing and lying. I work in finance as well and just don’t feel comfortable even giving this establishment my credit card numbers. Like if they would lie about some milk to get it for free what would they do with credit card numbers with thousands of dollars on them.

The first observation was a female that checked me in was on her personal phone, leaving it on speaker phone and I wasn't sure when she was talking to me or person on phone. Although, she was nice, I had to ask where everything was, and which way to go. The room was moldy and musty. The air conditioner was off, in Florida. New carpet is a must! Def was not my worst stay but no where near the best. With all the options in the area, next time I'll probably pass on this one.

Checking in was great and the lady was so sweet!! But for the money I spent I excepted clean room, there either blood stains on the floor or idk something red ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️ The sheet smelled dirty and just weird. Not like your normal clean sheet smells. Bathroom was not the cleanest either. A/c did not work the greatest! Very disappointed and will not be back.

OMG...This place is very nasty! The rooms stink so bad, the carpet through out the Hotel was nasty and stink. The showers had mildew really bad and There was no way we were going to sleep in those beds! The sheets and towels appeared to have yellow stains like the cleaning staff didn't even clean the rooms...We just decided to pay 400 dollars more to go to the Marriott across the street. However the young guy that was working the front desk had a awesome attitude.

  • Jon Washington

The 1st room smelled like mold and there was a big dehumidifier in the room. I requested a different room due to the mold smell, smh the next room was just as bad. There wasn't a mold smell but the carpet felt wet and sticky. The room itself constantly felt moist, the sheets constantly felt as if they were pulled from a dryer too early. The A.C. didnt work properly. This was by far the WORST hotel experience I've ever had. I wont EVER stay in this hotel again!

  • Kellie “Dee Dee”

This hotel needs some serious attention and remodeling. Upon entering the room the smell of mold was so strong. The carpet was stained and dirty. The air conditioning worked well and the beds were comfortable. The outside and grounds are unkept and need attention. The only reason I am giving three stars is because the young man, Darren, who checked me in was super nice and helpful.

The building is very beautiful, convenient to the highway and Dave and Busters. But it was a let down that several people were at the front desk with the same problem of no towels. And instead of the night clerk trying to handle the situation, she just put everything off on the morning clerk. Who by the way was a wonderfully considerate person. I also think that the breakfast could be a little better considering the other Country Inn & Suites we've been to.

  • Mary White

This hotel is in a great location and it has great customer service. It has recently gone through change in ownership and is gearing up. Yes there are some issues that need to be addressed immediately and they are aware of these. These things do take time and that should be understood by all.I would definitely stay there any time I was in Jacksonville!

For some reason I expected much more from this hotel. My room had a wetness smell that became less after two days, but never went away. Staff not overly helpful resolving issue. Otherwise, the room was clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Refrigerator and microwave worked well. The location is good, and easy to access. Breakfast was available, and looked good. Cookies are available throughout the day. My stay was good. I expect better next time.

  • Christian L

I stayed for one night at this Country Inn and Suites and it needs a complete renovation. The decor is dated, hotel doors have chipped paint. I stayed on the fourth floor. The hallway carpet was stained, really bad. I was in room 418. The carpet was stained and wore out. The bathroom wasn't cleaned. The tub had a 5 o'clock shadow. The towels were off white in color. I tried not to touch anything in that room. Should have slept in my car.

  • Jordan Chunco

Stayed one night at this hotel and found it acceptable if not exceptional. The front desk staff was very nice and efficient, offering dining and drinking options. The room was decent. Mostly clean though a few stains on the curtains hurt the feel of the room. Breakfast was included with the room and included: eggs, oatmeal, cereal, pastries, sausage and the hotel stable of Belgian waffles. It was crowded but no worse than other hotels.

  • Colin & Kathrine Monk

This place is terrible and very dirty. It is not up to any Country Inn standards. I just checked out after returning to my unmade up room at 10 pm. I called the front desk asking for fresh towels. I was told I would have to come and pick up my towels at front desk. I said I would like them delivered. The front desk clerk said no and would I like to check out. I said yes and left. In now at their competitors hotel down the street.

  • Sue Gee

In a community of other hotels that looked well kept, this stood out as slovenly. The "lawn" was scraggly and overgrown. The pool was closed, no breakfast served (covid). Looked sketchy. Fridge didn't work. 1 Ice machine worked. (Not on our floor.) Paint cracked on window edge. Hall carpets stained horribly. Wifi not working. A/C sounds like a Greyhound bus idling. I did mention it to the front desk, she offered her apologies.

  • Xin Tan

The hotel is very clean and, more importantly, the rooms were clean. The staff was hospitable and friendly and the breakfast was great too. This hotel is located right next to the I-95, which is convenient. There are malls and restaurants about 10 minutes away by car and the beach is about 20 minutes away by car. This hotel is well worth the price tag. I will definitely consider coming here again duringbmy stays in Florida.

  • carrie rippey

Everything was good. Only problem I had was house keeping, the knocked on the door and was told we didn't need anything. They continued to keep knocking and was still told didn't need anything. The next thing I know they are coming into the room with no notice. They go away and 15 minutes later they are knocking again. They need a better system in place. Other that this clean friendly and helpful. Would come back

  • Samad Johnson

The general manager here is truly a great person with a great heart. If there was anything I needed she made sure I had it. I'm a traveler and haven't had the best time in jacksonville but her in particular, she was more than a staff member. She treated me like a human. The stay was as good as it gets. I recommend 10/10.

I stayed when it was under renovation, so that accounts for the missing star, might be slightly higher without that being a factor. It is definitely time for renovations. Otherwise, the staff are friendly, and the bed was clean. One thing of note, though. The booking site I used sent me to the address of a different Country Inn & Suites, and the staff there told me it was a very common occurrence.

  • Andi T

For the price it was wonderful. I was a little concerned when we first checked in, the lady didn't seem to want to be there and flew through everything. The room was very clean. The free breakfast was very good as was the free coffee served all day. At check out the man at the counter was very nice. Due to the weather I don't know about the pool. The washer and dryer worked well. We stayed 2 days.

  • Chenelle Harris

This place is filthy! The carpet is disgusting. My room was muggy with a musty smell. The lamp was rusty with mold on the shade. We had hair in the tub left from the previous guests. I wouldn’t stay here if it were free. I’m so disappointed in how gross and unkept this hotel was, especially for a Radisson property.

I won't go as far as saying this is the worst hotel but please don't expect much. The double rooms are tiny and ours has a sour smell. The bathroom still had a used washcloth in it from the previous guests. The staff has been less than courteous and there was an overall survival of the fittest situation at breakfast. I would not recommend this location to anyone I liked.

  • Jody Pierce

Daughter got a room here. Wasn't feeling really safe about her staying on her own. So my other daughter rented a room. The desk clerk found us a room really close to my daughter's, cattycorner from her. All employees that I had interaction with were very nice, friendly, and professional. Will definitely stay here again when my daughters come to visit from South Carolina

  • Sara Dyer

This isnt the worst hotel. The staff is friendly. The rooms are definitely in need of repair though. Our mirror had black streaks all over it, the wallpaper is cracked in some places and the rub had been poorly repaired so there was white flakes in the water when I tried to take a bath. The location is great and the room itself was clean, just a little old.

Nice, quiet, safe-feeling hotel. The staff were all very kind and helpful, and the location is ideal if you are needing to visit the Mayo Clinic Campus. I was thankful a clean comfortable bed and a hot shower, as well as the breakfast grab-and-go options available in the lobby. I would stay here again if I were to return to Jacksonville for a visit!

Nice clean rooms, front desk staff very friendly. However, I was chased out of my room the cleaning staff. They started knocking at my door 9:30 a.m. and continue for more time till I left at 10 am. 1 of the times they didn't even knock on the door, thank goodness I was dress. I did not have a Do Not Disturb sign in my to place on the door.

  • Nessa Rod

Worse front desk agent I ever had in a hotel, she was to busy on her cellphone to take care you. if u think ur getting a nice quiet sleep stay away because the staff keeps making noises all day long in the hallways, dirty elevators, there was food all over our tv remote and the rooms have beat up furniture. Sorry won’t ever stay again. More

Dishonest owners. Lisa ordered stuff and made fake MISSING item claim to save few bucks. Be careful giving your card to this hotel. The overall look was good and everyone was nice and friendly. My only problem was when we walked into our room it smelt like mildew. I used my perfume to help with the smell. We checked in late, after 10:30pm. We were tired and at that point I just wanted to go to sleep. The perfume helped but other than that the hotel was really good!

We had a EXCELLENT! Experience. From the moment we arrived until we left we were satisfied. The one thing that stood out the most was how clean and well kept the hotel was. The house cleaning crew was very helpful and professional. Front desk was also very friendly. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Jacksonville.

Filthy!!! The carpets were not clean, there was food residue in the room, the bathroom was not clean. When we arrived the first room was TERRIBLE, so we asked to be switched to another room. That one was filthy as well. We decided to check out completely and end the trip early. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Love the fact that the breakfast was diff. everyday. Friendly staff. Clean place but towels were not all that clean. But it was a good place to stay on a tight budget especially for what they include in the price. Beautiful colored fountain at night. Close to allot of places to eat and shop.

  • Daxx Seubarran

We stayed on a Saturday and checked out Sunday the room was clean we got to check in early and we got late checkout and they had a wide variety of breakfast in the morning. It was very pleasant and they also had complimentary cookies at the front desk. Would definitely stay there again.

Could use a little more upkeep in some areas inside and out but overall clean comfortable place to stay. The bed was too firm for me and pillows too flat. But I am picky about my bedding. All the staff I interacted with was very kind and helpful. I would consider staying here again.

  • Thomas Fitzgerald

Not bad for an over night stay. Could use some work. Little dated and worn. They were renovating while I was there so hopefully it will improve. But really not bad for an overnight stay. Great breakfast as far as a standard hotels go. Staff was pleasant I would stay again.

  • Shelley Knowles

The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful, the room quiet and bed comfortable for the most part. However the carpet in our room was dirty and obviously needed cleaning, the rest of the room was ok, but there was a large roach which the maintenance man got rid of.
