According to downtownjacksonville.org, parking is supposed to be free from 5-9 on art walk days. I got there at shortly after 5 PM. Upon trying to leave at 6:15 PM, the parking machine tried to charge us $8. When I tried to pay, each card I had (4 Visa and one MasterCard) failed to work. I tried both debit and credit cards. I tried to press the “help” button which was completely functionless. I tried calling the number listed, but it went to a voicemail system. Eventually, after 15 minutes, the person waiting behind us, let me let me use their membership card to go through. This city is completely incompetent.
I don't get out to this area much, so finding panning and navigating the unfamiliar streets was a challenge. Also, for all the money the city has spent on the courthouse, they need to step up and fix both the roads and the parking lots of downtown, as well as provide better signage directing you too parking lots and traffic flow. This has been a long neglected problem in Jacksonville.
New courthouse downtown looks really great. Parking garage across the street, make sure you don't bring knives guns or weapons in the building. Security with detectors& wands. The Courthouse looks beautiful.Employees are courteous and nice to work with. Parking garage and surrounding charges for parking. Due to downtown traffic leave early.
I was glad they finally dismissed our case as we would have been in a pickle as to where to get food in such a short time. The inside food court was inadequate as there were too many people trying to eat at once. The men directing the jurors did a great job.
Can't complain about my experience. Everything is streamlined in response to the pandemic. And, ngl, all the security guards were really personable, which is a service they don't have to offer, but, geez, they were nice and helpful.
Nice getting the information I needed. The only reason I dropped one star is because it is so far from one place to another and someone who has trouble walking it is very painful.
Huge with handicapped entrances easy to enter after body check and everyone very helpful. Was as usual angry people and happy people. Long wait for paperwork after court
The Beautiful Courthouse which I paid for Jazz Fest always nice but the women looking gorgeous all shape sizes and colors let's go Jacksonville
Floors are very slippery when wet, especially the stairs leading up to the front doors.
Old man who greats us every Sunday in garage makes my day! So friendly and kind.
