We ordered a couch at Crate & Barrel's Tampa, FL, store on February 25, 2017. The price, $1, 598.77, included delivery. When the couch arrived at our condo building on April 19, 2017, the delivery men said they could not get it into the freight elevator nor take it up the stairs to our 3rd floor condo because it wouldn't fit. When we called Crate & Barrel, we were told that the couch could not be returned, that it was our responsibility, and they instructed the drivers to just leave it in the building's driveway. Fortunately, the driver was considerate enough to put it back on his truck and return it to the warehouse. He is a private contractor, not a Crate and Barrel employee, yet treated us with more courtesy and respect than Crate & Barrel's customer service person. When we phoned our sales person, Debbie Davis, she was of little help and told us that we could not return the couch or get a refund. The best she could offer us was store credit for one-half the purchase price. That was not only unfair but insulting to a long-term customer. We were forced to hire our own mover, Greenlite Movers, to pick the couch up at Crate & Barrel's warehouse and deliver it. They had no problem getting the couch onto the freight elevator and bringing it into our condo. They simply removed the outer cardboard and plastic packaging, removed the cushions and pillows, and moved it into the elevator with ease. Greenlite charged us $450.65 for the move. I expect Crate and Barrel to reimburse us for that full amount since our purchase price included delivery and Crate & Barrel failed to deliver the couch. We sent this complaint to Crate & Barrel through their website, which provides an email form to transmit such messages. We never even received a response acknowledging that they received the message, something that almost all companies do. We would like a timely response from Crate and Barrel and payment from them for the $450.65 we paid to have our couch delivered because Crate and Barel failed to deliver it. This is the sound of me, waiting.

As a longtime customer going back to when they were only in Chicago, we had a relationship ending experience today. Went there to buy a new set of frying pans and other misc things. Bought a set of four bowls, two sipping glasses and two expensive frying pans. One of pans needed to be shipped from elsewhere, (no problem). Left store with email receipt. Well after driving halfway home my wife got email and almost had a heart attack. We were charged almost $500. they had charged us 51 items!!! Receipt was in TOTAL error. Went back to store. Met by manager and I said we wanted to cancel everything and get our money back. Manager was not concerned and grabbed the guy who messed up. I asked that he not be one to do return and manager ignored me. After over thirty minutes and two managers attempts they could not do full return and we had to buy the ordered pan. They were never concerned that I had to drive back and that they could not get return to work. Most upset that there was no quality control on the ringup and that manager ignored my request for another sale person on return. He was pitiful on the return. They have lost a 30 year customer because of poor customer service and allowing a potential financial disaster to happen.

They keep offering to send another they do t care about inconveniencing you or the amount of time it’s taking them to try and right their wrong. It’s like they are the customer and we are the company who by the way as evidenced by the negative reviews does not care about their customers . How ridiculous! I agree that Walmart has better service. They leave a number for you to call to “settle” or “improve” that is poppycock! I pay for an item and they should deliver an undamaged item first time ok second it’s a no and a third one is negligence. They need to seriously think about the way they are treating their customers horrendous experience will never buy there and will let everyone I know not to buy from them

WORST experience I've ever had with a furniture store. I placed an order for a couch and it was delivered with stains. I was told they can replace it so I waited another month for the second shipment. Second one turned out to be broken so I had to call them again to have it taken care of. They told me they will send me a third shipment. Third shipment comes in with even more stains than the first one. Called AGAIN and was told they can send me a fourth shipment. At this point I was very frustrated and found it unbelievable that they would keep telling me they will send me another shipment for replacement when they were clearly not able to successfully deliver an undamaged couch. Decided to return instead and even that process took forever. Once they picked up the couch from me I waited patiently for my refund to come through and 6 days went by with nothing. So I had to call them AGAIN to have them do their job properly. Refund was issued only after I called them to check on it. Terrible experience and I will most definitely never buy furniture from them again nor recommend them to anyone.

Avoid the “in-store pickup” option at all costs. Decided to try it because my items were listed as in stock online and ready same day. It took them 3 days to tell me my order was ready for pickup when all I ordered was throw pillows and covers, and then they notified me that the covers were now backordered for 2-3 more weeks. I feel like if they would’ve just grabbed my order right away then this wouldn’t have been an issue. Anyway, I show up to pick up the first part of my order following the instructions in the email and end up sitting in the pickup parking spots for >20 minutes before eventually going inside to grab them myself. The guy apologized and said he “just wasn’t watching the iPad.” I love crate and barrel, but unfortunately this location comes across as lazy and disorganized. I’m not looking forward to going back for the 2nd part of my order. Would have been way faster to just ship to my home.

we have always enjoyed our experience at this store. They are expensive for our budget, but provide a treasure trove of inspiration, and the accesspries we have purchased have always been worth the price we paid. My review is more of the other clients who have written, ugly illiterate reviews, Calling the associates morons demeans the writer. In addition, if one is going to write something that will be visible to thousands of people, please try to be literate. I suspect that at least a good part of the complaints are due to customers feeling that just because they spend money, they must be fawned on, and need not treat people with common courtesy. I agree that not answering the phone as mentioned in another negative review is poor business. As far as not being opened on holidays, use your fingers and check the web site...take some responsibility for your own actions.

Only buy something out of the store if you can put your hands on it. 'In stock ready to ship' online is a farse. Ordered lights, said we would get them in a few days... then are notified to pick them up, then don't come in they are backordered. A few weeks later we are notified they arrive, drive to the store to pick up and it is only the glass sconce, no light. No info or idea when the actual light will come in. I have to believe Crate and Barrel has a savy enough inventory system to not advertise something as in stock when it's actually backordered with no guess of arrival. This is simply un truthfull advertising in an attempt to get your $. Be honest with your customers. Odd how higher end stores are the ones struggling with supply chain issues compared to a store like Target, both get products from overseas mainly China.

This rating is for the corporate not this particular store. I placed an order online and it was supposed to be delivered in 3-5 business days. It's already been 6 business days and the order is still sitting in the warehouse, not even shipped yet. I had to wait on hold for 40 minutes before somebody answered. This was my second time calling, no one has done anything after the first time I called. Hey corporate office, how about get your act together and hire the people needed to handle the volume of orders and calls? It's absolutely inexcusable to have this horrible customer service, when your competitors are on top of their business. This was my first and last order with your company, you can keep your stuff. There are plenty of other companies who want my business, since you apparently don't give a flying rip.

Can I just say I LOVE Crate & Barrel! Every time I come into the store I am so excited to see what is new. I have been a customer for about 5+ years now and I am never disappointed. Most recently I purchased some dishwater from Crate & Barrel that just didn't work out for me and my family and had a little hiccup returning it. The GM of this store did everything he could to get it returned for me...I could tell he really cared about not having to have me lug it back home and return online, he was successful! Fran was my associate on the floor and went above and beyond to show my husband and I all of the other options for dinnerware that may work out better for us, she is very knowledgeable and personable! I appreciate all of the efforts from the Crate & Barrel team! They are what makes retail so amazing !!!!

I purchased a bed from crate and barrel 5 months ago and paid the extra for white coat delivery so that they can also assemble the bed for me. They delivered the bed without all of the necessary hardware so they weren’t able to assemble the bed for me. It’s been months on end of me calling and calling to ask for them to take care of providing me with all of the parts of the bed and then send someone to assemble the bed for me, and they’ve yet to provide me with the help I paid for. I was finally able to get them to send someone to assemble the bed, but they failed to provide us with the hardware again. I’m very frustrated with crate and barrel and will likely never purchase from them again after the horrible delivery and customer service I’ve dealt with since placing my order.

First time I’ve been into a crate and barrel and I don’t think I’ll ever come back. First of all, the restaurant next door ate up all of the parking, so that I had to park at the mall, and walk across a bunch of cross walks at a dangerous mall entrance where multiple cars had to lock up their breaks to avoid hitting me because they weren’t paying attention to the flashing crosswalk lights for pedestrians. Then I get in there, finally, and the employees seem less than interested in helping me find something. Only three customers in the store and not a single hello? I actually had to ask an employee where I could find the thing I was looking for.. Which of course, wasn’t in stock. Massive waste of my time, very disappointed, I felt so unwelcome.

I have a friend that is very sick (had to take him to ER room twice over the past few days). He continues to be very sick and weak and had a scheduled delivery from Crate & Barrel the next day. Too weak to call Crate & Barrel, he had me call for him to reschedule the delivery. It was still over 24 hours in advance of the scheduled delivery. Crate & Barrel demanded a $35.00 rescheduling fee just to reschedule. I went ahead and paid this for my friend, but was appalled at Crate & Barrel for even charging such a RIP-OFF fee. I've been a long term shopper of Crate & Barrel myself, but will NEVER shop there again. I will also be sure to pass along to all my friends to AVOID SHOPPING AT CRATE & BARREL. Such a rip-off.

I ordered the Blake 85" TV stand in the gray wash. The first delivery received April 1 was damaged upon receipt. The delivery team opened the box at my front door. and the top had multiple scratches on it. I refused the delivery. Crate and Barrel rescheduled a second stand for April 10th which was a reasonable period of time. They were to open the box at the warehouse before delivery. The second one received came in a box which was opened at my front door again. There were a few marks on the top which the delivery team tried to clean and then touch up. I accepted the unit as a loaner and requested Crate and Barrel team to call me so I can discuss next steps. The unit was made in Indonesia. We do love the unit.

I was actually quite uncomfortable here and I hope management reads this. I was in the store for about 10 minutes, and in that time I had 6 different associates over-eagerly trying to help me and "engage" me, and trying to "go ahead and get something out of the back for you" after I had looked at an item for about 3 seconds. It felt desperate for a sale in an upscale store, very odd and uncomfortable. This is even after telling multiple people I didn't need any help. Ignoring what I said multiple times I was still engaged in what felt like fake conversation until I just left. Truly astoundingly bad reading of a customer's needs and bad training by management to even push this style.

Visited the store last week. Walked into the store and standing right at the check out are 3 workers starring at you as you walk thru the store. I as a customer felt uneasy at if they’re ready to nab you for a buy. Looking for silverware I asked another worker which again were 2 different workers at that area. The gentleman couldn’t quite understand what I wanted and tried to sell me something else but the whole time he was snickering under his breath and laughing. I know on the first floor were at least 6 workers and I was the only customer. I left buying nothing and starred at the whole way out. Good buy for Crate and Barrel as I hope I never have to visit your store again.

I walked in and no one said anything to me (yeah I didn't look like a million dollars but it's Florida ... Tampa beach area should be expecting ALL kinds). Walked around because I was looking for something specific. Looked at a few pieces of furniture. A good few associates walked past me without a word. Spent a good 15- 20 minutes waiting for some sort of acknowledgement (even just a nod or 'hello/ good afternoon' just *something*) As I was leaving had my phone out to look for thrift stores instead and the person by the door finally greeted me /asked if I needed help. (Wish I knew her name *she* was nice). I had .... 20 minutes ago. I just said no and left

Absolutely worst experience I’ve ever had with buying furniture. I might as well have gone to IKEA. As of this moment I’ve had the same bed delivered twice and BOTH times it has arrived defective. Clearly their quality control department needs to get better trained. I highly recommend against purchasing anything from this company as they cannot seem to get their act together. I’ve been sleeping on the ground for over 6 weeks. Looks like I’ll have to keep sleeping on the ground until I find a different group to purchase from that will actually bring me a functional bed. See pictures of what was delivered (can’t lay a mattress on that)…

Google review won’t let me leave 0 stars. I thought I was purchasing a luxury product. One major problem - I still haven’t actually received my product, but they have charged me in full. The customer service of the team in the Tampa store has been complete garage. Barbara told me I was her person and she would make this right. Still no follow up. I’m still waiting on a call back from managers Nina and Doreen. It’s been over 10 days. No one seems to know where my couch is. Was it given away to someone else after I custom ordered? Was it never ready even though they called me to schedule delivery? Worst experience. Don’t purchase here.

MAKE SURE you have delivery dates in email form or in writing AS SOON as you get them. I had TWO different employees tell me I would get my couch the following Wednesday. The employee helping us in the store told me Wednesday (with the exact date) and another employee told me the same exact date over the phone while I finished the purchase and LOCKED IN A DELIVERY DATE with her. Well, a week and a couple days roll around and I call to confirm the delivery is coming and they have no record of a delivery order being placed. Now I have to wait another week and a half and I put this day aside to accept the delivery! So ridiculous.

Poor Customer Service. They pick and choose who they want to greet and offer assistance too. Recently I ordered three glass vases and two glass bowls for in-store pick up. All 5 GLASS items were stacked and given to me a huge loose bag, none of the items were wrapped in paper or bubble wrap. I politely handed the items back to the young man and informed him that I could not accept the glass items unwrapped and requested they be wrapped to keep them from breaking. He looked at me as if he couldn't understand the problem. He returned handing me 5 plastic bags to wrap my own items. That was the weirdest experience ever.

Although I love crate and barrel and have purchased multiple items from them, this review is specific to the rude customer experience with Nancie from the Tampa location. I called asking about their floor sale items and Nancie told me “we don’t do that”, as in, they don’t let customers know what floor sale items they have. When mentioned that other reps have told me in the past, she said “well, it must have not been busy at that time”. I guess in-store customers are far more important than customers on the phone? Be better, Nancie. It’s people like you that steer customers to shop at competitors of crate and barrel.

My wife ordered some martini glasses for curbside pickup. It went smooth and quick. Got home and realized one of the glasses had a small crack at the top edge. I called to let them know and they were really cool about it. They offered to send it to me, which i took them up on, because it was a pretty good trip. She said it would be here by Tuesday, which I was fine with. They overnighted it to me instead. I was pretty surprised by that in a good way. Just want to say that they went above and beyond with their customer service. And for that I am very appreciative! Will highly recommend this store. Thank you!

Very disappointed in the lack of effectiveness of this crate and barrel. Had to return the outdoor Tig chairs because they are not really meant for outdoors as they advertise. They rusted. And in typical Crate fashion you are told you will be credited back once the furniture is received in their warehouse. 24 hours AFTER the chairs were received back at the warehouse I still did not have a credit back to my card and when calling CS, I was told that was the responsibility of the furniture associate to be checking up on that. IN EFFICIENT AND QUITE FRANKLY, unacceptable practice and response from Crate!!

Went there early Monday morning and had a great experience (it was my first time purchasing there). I bought the Aspen dinnerware which was a great value (sign up for emails and you can get a 10% off coupon you can use in store or online). I was asked multiple times if I needed help and the sweet girl who checked me out even helped me carry the pieces to the register once she knew what I wanted. When she heard me comment it was going to be heavy she had me pull my car around to the side of the building for curbside pickup. Wonderful customer experience and I couldn't be happier with our dishes!

The store in Tampa is nice and staff is helpful but I would never purchase anything through their website ever again. I placed an order for a rug in October of 2021 and it was available immediately however other items were not available for pick up. Since then every time I call customer service I am told they will look into it, then say the warehouse is to blame and that they cannot cancel the order I have already been charged full price for. Save yourself the hassle and never order online just go to the store. I still have not been refunded my money and the rug is just floating somewhere.

My wife and I received a gift card from your store right before COVID We were unable to use it until recently, when my wife tried to redeem it she was told it couldn’t be redeemed because she didn’t have the PIN number. This was a $50.00 card from our son and his wife. You have essentially stolen $50.00 from us I will NEVER enter your store again and will let EVERYONE know you will not make this unusual situation right! DO NOT ask me to call you . My wife has spent 2 1/2 months trying to rectify the situation with absolutely NO resolution! Good Bye Crate& Barrel!!!!

Very very disappointing service from the reps! The costumer service at Walmart is probably better than this store!! I asked for help at the first floor, one assistant rudely instead of internally calling/paging her colleagues that were responsible for the area I was interested in, told me to go upstairs and try find the other reps and ask them to come downstairs with me to help me find price of an item! At Walmart even reps try to help you find whatever you need without passing you to others. Will not recommend if you respect yourself

Jacqueline and Ghassan did a phenomenal job helping me select the right dinnerware and flatware. Good customer service nowadays is rare, but they were patient and professional in advising me on the practical and design implications of my selections. Even though I arrived to the store right before closing time, I never felt rushed- rather I felt like a valued customer and certainly would take the time to come back. The store itself is very well maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and visually refreshing. Great job guys!

Had a problem with Mason Bed squeaking ..I was in the Tampa store, and spoke with Jamey a sale's associate. telling him of the problem' He said that should not be happening. He called Angie in customer service.She called me a few days later.set up an appointment for a service tech to come and look at it. He found it was missing 4 bolts on the headboard,,He fix it on the spot... no more squeaking... I have to say customer service was GREAT..I will continue to shop at Crate & Barrrel and tell my friends

I can not tell you how disappointed I am with the quality of delivery of CRATE AND BARREL. Not only my order was on back order for two months but when it finally made it to my home, they left the messed up box by my mailbox. Not at my front door. Four of the sixteen plate were totally broken. What is going on with this company? It is the second time this has happened to me with them. It also happened on the first part of the order. TERRIBLE, UNACCEPTABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL.

Just left this store and will never go back and refuse to spend money in a place where the ratio of people working there were four to one customer yet no one came to help us or asked us if we needed help. When I asked a gentleman who was standing there, staring at me the whole time, If he worked there, he just responded with a snide comment about why else would he be wearing a name tag! Avoid at all cost! Do some basic customer service training!!

Still waiting on my couch that I ordered Thanksgiving 2020. It was supposed to be delivered in March and didn’t come then I was told April didn’t come then was told May didn’t come and then I was told June it’s not coming because now I’ve been told mid July I wonder what are my chances of receiving my couch this year. Very disappointed in this company it was my first time purchasing from them and will probably be my last.

This is a beauty store. Just don’t come late, because customers of Ocean Prime take up all of the parking spots. Once you can find a spot to park, the store is very contemporary and immaculately clean. The staff are very professional and very well dressed and very helpful. They gave all the housewares and furniture you can want, and prices that are reasonable. We will be buying from here in the future.

We went to Crate and Barrel to explore their collection for the kitchen. It is a very big store with various and different combination of plates, spoons, knives etc which are day to day use and have varied collection so one can match them according to their homes. They also have different furniture on the second floor. Amazing store and do visit if you are looking to buy kitchen stuff.

Bought a wine shelf the other day. The lady helping me was so sweet. I was trying to find out if big bottles would fit and she looked for one in the whole store. They didn’t have big bottles on display so I took a glass that had the same diameter as a big bottle and put it in the shelf and it fit. The lady told me I could bring it back anytime if I found out the bottles wouldn’t fit.

Hosea Daniel’s was the best sales person I’ve ever worked with. He gave us all the information we needed to make a decision. He even drew up a furniture layout of what it would like when we receive the couch. He didn’t pressure us into buying a couch and gave us ample amount of time. Hands down the best person to work with! Ask for Hosea Daniel’s if you go!

So many employees, yet nobody around to help. I was in there for about an hour shopping and looking around, yet not ONE employee asked me if I needed any help. I finally had to go up to one and ask for assistance. SMH! Crate and Barrel, you need to get it together! I am seriously thinking of never stepping foot in one again and only shopping on line.

Parking is as challenge on Friday and Saturday night because they share a lot with a busy restaurant. The store is clean, organized, a good selection of products. The employees were very helpful and answered all of the questions that we had- even offered to call other stores to find a product when it was 5 minutes to closing. Very nice!

Staff are morons. Both times we've been in we've dealt with Mary. She's not good on the register. I asked another staff member if C&B price matches - she told me they don't. A quick check online proved otherwise. If I'm going to be charged $17 for the same pan at Walmart for $11, I expect better customer service and sharper employees.

Excellent. Store layout is very nicely done. Easy to navigate through sections and choose your favorite items. We went in focused on finding a Sleeper Sofa and found exactly what we wanted. We also picked up some decorative wall art. Fantastic selections. Sales Rep. Anthony Cozzolino was great. Definitely Stop in.

I went to Crate & Barrel this morning to browse and do some shopping. A lady who worked there kept following me around and made it a very uncomfortable shopping experience. I had to leave shortly after I got there because of it. It a shame becuase I was really looking forward to going there today.

awful online experience. Ordered mugs on 9-4 for a certain price and never heard back on the status of shipping. COme to find out on 9-27 the cannot honor the original order and are offering me 10% off the same mug more or less that is now 4 times higher in price . Be aware of customer service.

It’s been sometime since I took a browse in a Crate and Barrel. At first it took me by surprise by the amount of staff offering help. It’s nice to see a company that places customer experience as a top priority. Particularly rare these days . I look forward to returning over the seasons.

I purchased a TV hutch and was called and told it was in stock in March. However they cannot deliver it til the end of May. If it wasn't so large I would go get it myself. But to have my furniture "hostage" and in stock and not be able to deliver it for a month and a half...disgraceful.

Great products and such friendly customer support. Always great products especially for the holidays. For example, the employee at the front desk was very friendly as she helped us find our pumpkin trivet. Phone support also courteous. Will definitely do business with them again.

This location is very nice and well staffed. For the holidays they have a separate line for returns which is nice. The quality of their products has decreased while their prices are high. This specific location is clean and friendly.

Absolutely terrible. Don’t visit this location if you’re anyone of color. I had an employee rip an item out of my hand, search my son’s stroller, and pretty much run me out of the store for trying to shop here.

Big and beautiful store. My husband and I love to frequently come by to see what's new in the store. They have great deals on different items. The customer service here is always top-notch. We love it here.

Beautiful store. The person they introduced me to supposedly was a designer.... Was absolutely no help stayed about 5 minutes and left what a complete disappointment. Drove half an hour to get here

Since there’s no Crate&Barrel in Orlando we stopped by this one while we were in Tampa. We really appreciate this store. Love that it’s a stand alone and the customer service is amazing.

We had a great experience today at crate and barrel. Found everything we just couldn’t live without and much of it on sale. Fran checked us out and was very thorough and pleasant.

Disappointed, everything is back ordered, after 4 months got set of a dining table and side bar, wood had no finish, totally different than the floor samples, No quality control.
