This is a great social spot, yes there can be numerous issues but it’s usually managed by parking authority and police doing drive by’s, overall I can see how the residents would be upset...give it some time and everything will subside and the hooligans will find a new place to hang out. It’s clean and there’s rarely any garbage. A lot of families interact well with everyone that’s there. This place has great stairs if you want to train as well

It's small, but cute. Has 2 baseball diamonds benches and tables, plus it's just off the Cresent ridge and stairs. So you still get some privacy if your trying to just chat, but still active enough people are always walking by. Ideal for a meet up for a date, workout, or just to relax and look at the view

A really beautiful park, which is situated on an embankment, overlooking downtown Calgary. The views are spectacular, especially around sunset. Unfortunately I've been forced to leave, due to the frequent, excessive marijuana smoke that ruins an otherwise great family environment.

  • Dariush Malekirad

Awesome park, it has playground, tennis courts, baseball field, lots of picknick table and breathtaking Calgary downtown view. Only issue there is that there is no parking and street parking is limited to permit holders or limited areas with maximum 2 hours only for daytime.

Little and clean park. Great city and mountain view. Perfect for walking, dog walking, running, roller skating. Has a free tenis court, basket ball and football field. Short walk from the river and and China town. On top of the hill from the riverfront. Has a picnic tables.

Nice views of the downtown skyline, 24/7/365, just not when it's too foggy. It's quite popular but most visitors seem to be in and out fast, especially on really cold days. Bring a good camera for sure. Oh and there are no public amenities here, such as restrooms.

  • Marcello Spoletini

Outstanding views of downtown and the river. Picnic tables offer comfortable seating for a coffee/meal while enjoying a pleasurable viewing experience. Lots of space for kids, Frisbee, or exercising the arm with a baseball/football etc.

  • Steve Weisner

Nice place to hang out and relax, during these times when there are not a lot of allowable options to visit with a friend. Excellent views of downtown from the south side of the park, lots of green spaces in which to spread out.

  • Erik Anderson

nice area, the community centre is really well maintained and has a nice little garden and arena / rink area
Dog-friendliness
There is a large open space where people bring their dogs to play (medium to small sized dogs)

  • Sam Doctolero

You'll see a great view of downtown. Lots of people jog up and down the stairs and along the path ways. The only downside I have is the washroom, it's clearly unmaintained. Otherwise, it's a nice place to chill with friends.

  • Vivian Tang

Tennis courts have slight cracks, but none that affect play. Otherwise great condition. Secluded, quiet, away from houses and cars. A good place to play. Can't comment on crowdedness as I was there early morning

  • Xan Soul

The view is beautiful during the day. Probably more beautiful during the night. The only thing bad about this place was the parking. I have no idea where the parking is, or if there even is parking.

  • Nathan Wright

Great assistant vice principal, helped arrange a drop off of equipment for filming of a movie. Helped get cars moved and a place to park my equipment, all on her lunch break.

  • C.L. Wong

Best close up view of Calgary downtown core. Close enough to see everything, yet not close enough to touch. About a 15minute walk to EauClaire if you take the stairs

  • Omolara S.

It's okay but the gravel generates a lot of dust so kids always end up dusty after playing. You need extra clothes for your kids to change into after playing.

  • Matthew Kramer

I grew up nearby to this park, and while the gardens aren't as nice as they used to be it is still a great park to have a picnic and have a game of frisbee.

All I can stay keep an eye out for the steep steps, they killed me!! General good place for walking and exercising. Take a stroll and grab a coffee...
