I'm several months late on this but my Chihuahua Precious started to have health issues due to her heart murmur and getting into old age. I needed to find someone that could take her in quick as most places were unable to see her right away when her health issues began but also was looking for a place that had good reviews. Thankfully I found this place. It was a bit pricey but I was able to get approved from scratch pay being able to take my baby girl in every time I needed too. Everyone was very welcoming and caring towards each animal that entered making it feel comfortable every time I brought her in. It also helped seeing that everyone actually cared about the animals there and the veterinarian's were very knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately everything we did for her just got harder because her heart murmur became enlarged blocking her airway but one veterinarian recommended trying this flavor liquid medicine that could possibly help her heart get smaller but while it was in the process of being made from a third party she unfortunately passed away when we brought her in from collapsing on April 30 of this year. I was devistated and crying my heart out in the waiting room but each person that came in checking up on my family and I was very sympathetic and tried comforting us as best as they could. We ended up cremating her through this clinic. The next day one of the veterinarian's called me and gave her condolences and when we went to go pick up her ashes they also gave us a card signed by a lot of the workers there who remembered my sweet baby girl and how they loved when she came in. I really appreciated everything this place did for my sweet girl from the beginning to the very end. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

I couldn't be happier with Crestview Veterinary Clinic! Originally, I stopped by for an emergency appointment for a pup that was in my care - after she decided to become a circus entertainer and gashed her leg open while jumping from a chair to the bed. The staff was so helpful, friendly, and accommodating throughout the process. It was a quick visit but the pup, myself, and the pup's human were all happy afterward! :) Since I had such a great experience my first visit, I decided to transfer my pup's records to Crestview Vet Clinic and began seeing Dr. Wiersig a few weeks ago. My pup, Sadie, has been battling allergies, since moving to Austin just over two years ago. After visiting multiple vets and getting a reply of, "It's just allergies." multiple times - along with expensive allergy treatments from her former vets. Dr. Wiersig properly diagnosed Sadie and she if FINALLY on the mend. Her skin is clearing up, and she seems like her happy-go-lucky self again. I'm so grateful to Crestview Vet Clinic and Dr. Wiersig for helping get Sadie back to healthy and happy again!! I would HIGHLY recommend this vet clinic! Not only do they provide great customer service, but they actually listen to your wants/needs and work with you to find the best treatment plan for your animal companion.

UPDATE: I took my dog in on 4/6/2023 for skin allergies. The vet prescribed me Cefpodoxime (he’s been prescribed this previously through our old vet). The vet at Crestview stated that his skin conditions were allergies and they flare up seasonally; she determined this based off my dogs vet records. She proceeded to prescribe me Cefopodoxime and it went away, she told me to call back if my dog experiences another flare up and she would gladly refill it for me. Recently, my dog had a new flare up due to environmental allergies. I called Crestview to refill the Cefopodoxime. The new vet denied it without an office visit. I explained to the receptionist that his previous vet (she no longer works at Crestview) had said she would refill it for me; however, this new vet will not honor it without me coming in for an office visit and examination - the receptionist also didn’t attempt to relay the message to the vet that denied it to see if he would reconsider, given I was in only 2 months ago. I felt this behavior was shady, money motivated & definitely left me with a bad taste. No thanks!

Big fan of Crestview Veterinary Clinic and the vets/nurses there. They cared for our 1 year old pup Kudzu so well recently. They fit us in when our normal vet couldn’t get us an emergency appointment for days. They were very understanding and honest about pricing — giving us itemized estimates for X-rays, ultrasounds, surgery. The itemized estimates planned for surprises and got us prepared for higher costs too. They were so loving and caring and obsessed with our dog (they all came in every appointment to check up on the pup even if they weren’t helping with the appointment)! It made us feel that she was in such good care. Dr Butcher also squeezed us in last minute for a surgery. They all were flexible once they realized the seriousness of our pup’s situation. Also, our vet (and others we had tried) were still doing curbside pickup/drop off due to Covid. It was so nice to walk into the vet and get to see them love on Kudzu in person. This is long, but I could keep going — Crestview Vet Clinic is amazing and full of kind and caring people! Your pet is in great hands!

I took in our cat Mia for her annual exam this week. All of the Crestview Veterinary Clinic staff were very welcoming and professional. The Vet Tech was very thorough in taking the intake information and doing the preliminary work of looking over our cat, weighing her, taking her temperature and taking the blood sample. She was very gentle and loving with our cat. The Vet was also very caring and professional as well. She was thorough in her examination of our cat. She answered all my questions and gave me her assessment of our cat's health. She explained things in a kind easy manner that was easy for me to understand. I would like to thank Crestview Veterinary Clinic for the caring manner in which they treated our cat and me. Our cats are more than pets to us. They are family, so I was very appreciative of the way they treated our cat and me. I would like to especially thank Vet Tech Katy and Dr. Squires. Quite possibly the greatest veterinarian clinic that could exist. They absolutely truly care about animals and making sure that they get the best possible care. In no way are they obligated to stay late or move around their lunch breaks so that they can see a pet that day... Or within 20 minutes in an emergency. They go out of their way to make sure that animals are taken care of and that their owners feel confident in everything that is going on with their pets. They give the best advice for the animals and make sure that the owners completely understand what is going on. No one wants to have to take their animal to the vet, honestly no animal wants to go to the vet, but somehow my dog gets super excited when I tell him that we are going to the vet and it is probably because of the veterinarians and technicians and other staff that work there who are so kind to my dog. Crestview vet is fantastic. Amazing. Wonderful. Just plain awesome!

I cannot say enough good things about Crestview Vet and Dr. Butcher specifically! She showed me and my older dog nothing but kindness, compassion, and expert care from the moment I adopted him to his last days. She was always thorough in her exams and did a wonderful job when my dog needed surgery. Dr. Butcher helped gently guide me through the difficult decision to put my sweet dog down and connected me with several in-home vets so that he could go peacefully at home. Things like this made me feel that Dr. Butcher and the Crestview staff really cared about what was best for my dog and not about their own business/efficiency. The office was super personable and welcoming, and everyone knew my dog's name and his quirks. I couldn't have asked for a better vet experience. Bonus points for the free cold brew :)

From the incredibly friendly and knowledgeable receptionists, to the professional and talented vet techs, this place knows how to take care of you and your pet. Above all, Dr. Kautz is a kind, compassionate, and extremely intelligent doctor. He has a bedside manner that makes me know my pup is in good hands and that he genuinely cares for the patients he works with. He takes the time to explain everything to me so that I can understand it, and then he helps me make the best choices for my pup. I’m thrilled to share my heartfelt experience with Dr. Butcher, our cherished vet for numerous years in Austin. Despite moving to Las Vegas and later to Sarasota, FL, Dr. Butcher remained a pillar of support for our Shih Tzu, Sweet Pea, through phone consultations. On our Thanksgiving journey to McAllen, TX, we found ourselves in Austin and sought medication for Sweet Pea. Serendipitously, a cancellation allowed us to see Dr. Butcher in person. Her caring demeanor, exceptional intelligence, and attentive listening reaffirmed why she’s more than a vet—she’s family. Grateful for the unwavering care and warmth Dr. Butcher continues to provide, even miles away from our original home in Austin.

First off - Staff. Their staff from the moment I walked in was SUPER helpful and very prompt. Every single person that interacted with my dog LOVED her and I don't say that because it's MY dog - I say that because they LOVE animals. I could hear other staff in other rooms interacting with other animals and it's very clear they love what they do. Second - Price. They worked with me to meet my fiscal stipulations and lined everything out step by step so I knew exactly how much I was spending and beyond that - it was much cheaper than most vets I have been to. Extremely fair pricing. Conclusion: Their staff, facility, prices, and over-all experience is easily 5 star. HIGHLY recommend.

As a first time dog owner, I was ready to go to several vets before finding “the one.” I didn’t have to—Crestview was my first visit and we won’t be going anywhere else while we’re in Austin. Every doctor and tech we’ve seen has been patient, kind, and friendly to my dog Ellie to the point she gets excited when we pull up! Everyone we’ve interacted with has been fantastic, but Ashtin the tech and Dr. Brooke are both world class. They both make visits cheerful instead of stressful, and are incredibly reassuring and love on Ellie to make visits easier. I highly recommend Crestview! We’re lucky enough that we live close, but I’d drive from all over to get Ellie seen here.

I love the whole team at the Burnet road location. They always take amazing care of Lucki. The complimentary drinks in the lobby are a +++. It's a blessing they have so many locations, and I definitely see why. It's very easy to schedule an appointment. I know my puppy is in great hands for the rest of his life with the kind of care they provide. Their prices are also really reasonable and fair and you always get explained everything before you decide to move foward. Cant say enough nice things about all my experiences there. Just be prepared because their payment system is all digital, no cash in the building, probably for safety reasons.

I took my senior cat with hyperthyroidism to this vet for a year while I lived in the area, and I had a great experience with them. Dr. Byman and Dr. Squires were both great at explaining health conditions and recommended procedures. They were comfortable taking questions and talking through any concerns I had. I am also impressed by Crestview's responsiveness, as they have always responded promptly whenever I emailed them with questions about smaller veterinary concerns. I truly felt comfortable trusting my beloved fur baby to Crestview Veterinary Clinic. Were it not for the distance from my new home, I would probably still be going here.

My elderly cat has seen 3 different vets here for various ailments over the years: Dr. Butcher, Dr. Kautz and Dr. Carmona. Each one has been phenomenal and treated me and my baby with the utmost respect and care through some stubborn and tough to treat illnesses. The vet techs are incredibly professional and the office is very well managed. When I have requested an appointment through their online portal they have even called me to move it up when they saw that it was an urgent issue. I cannot recommend this office highly enough and will be bringing my fur babies here as long as I live in Austin. Thanks Crestview!

Dr Kautz and his staff helped to make my dog calm and comfortable. Abi Rose was shaking nervously as we arrived, but they all took the time to speak sweetly to her and touched her gently. I admire Dr Kautz patience explaining to us the details about her condition, going over all her meds and the best way to give them to her as well as possible side effects. Dr Kautz listened to our concerns with genuine interest and compassion and we felt that we had options about how far to go on testing. The diagnosis was very accurate and Abi is feeling almost normal after just one day of treatment. We are very grateful.

I switched from my last vet to Crestview Vetinary Clinic around April or May, and although it's still a recent switch, I have been very happy so far. I haven't had any trouble getting in to see the doctor when my dog has started feeling unwell at short notice. I also was very grateful to one of the vet techs, Ashton I believe, who could see my dog was terrified to be at the vet's and took the time to ply him with endless treats until he felt a little more at ease. We've received excellent care and clear communication from Dr. Kautz. All in all I am extremely pleased with my switch to Crestview Clinic.

I have met with several of the doctors and staff. I often just ask for whoever is available when my schedule permits. Everyone has been great and helped me to understand the needs of my dog. It is nice to know that I can meet with the dr that is available and trust that my pet will be provided with the best care and that notes have been documented from the previous visits. Sometimes meds can get pricey but when I express concern I am given options for consideration- such as maybe ordering items later online if cheaper or monitoring the situation and coming back at a later date if still concerned.

High quality and compassionate care for my 2 dogs. When they realize we are going to Crestview Veterinary, my dogs actually get excited. Whether its our monthly appointment with one of the techs so my older dog can get an injection, or annual check ups with Dr. Squire, the people are very responsive and helpful; the vet care is excellent. My older dog is blind and gets anxious when she's separated from me. Crestview is the first clinic we've ever used where she isn't afraid. The entire staff genuinely seems happy to be there, and it certainly shows in the way they treat both patients and people.

We love our dog very much, but she has severe anxiety around other people, and can be incredibly difficult to work with. Our vet tech at Crestview, Ashtin, was SO wonderful both with us and our dog -- we were so grateful for her! She was so patient, understanding, kind, and helpful throughout the whole multi-day process. We've struggled with finding help, given our dogs serious behavioral issues; but Ashtin and our vet, Dr. Byman, went above and beyond to give our little girl the very best care we could have hoped for. We really appreciate Ashtin, Dr. Byman, and the whole staff at Crestview!

The receptionist was so nice and patient although there was a mix up with my information at check in. Another inpatient tech who seemed in a bad mood came to ask what was taking so long. Then the tech who took care of us was so understanding of my pup, since he was abused he doesn’t do well around strangers. She was patient, kind and well my sweet boy could sense her good heart because he was so good the entire time. Finally the Doctor was so helpful answered all my questions and gave me some tips on calming him around strangers. Thankyou everyone!

The entire staff at Crestview Clinic is excellent. I've had two visits for my two cats, and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. Also quite affordable, they explain the invoices and diagnosis with detail. The Vet tech assistant Katelyn was fantastic, she treated my cat with such care and compassion. Dr. Carmona also treated my cat with such kindness and was very professional and friendly, overall it was a pleasant experience at Crestview. I will continue to bring my cats to this wonderful clinic.

So I wanted to leave a review for Crestview because this was our first vet visit for our new puppy screwball and everyone was fantastic! From the receptionist scheduling our appointment and answering our questions to Ashtin the vet tech on training who was so good with our baby. We got right in and I highly recommend Dr brooks he was great. Everyone was so informative and good with our boy. We def found our clinic! Would give 10 stars if I could. Amazing service, treatment, and kindness each time we visited with our dog and cat. Always on time and professional, even with complex paperwork they helped us prepare to travel overseas. The entire staff has been so wonderful, taking care of our pets with such gentleness and attention. We no longer live in the area and will definitely miss the exceptional quality of service we received for our two pets. Can't recommend Crestview Veterinary Clinic enough.

I regret that I forgot the names because I was having such a good time. The conversations were great, the interactions were great, the attention and care towards Archie was great. It was just amazing. Normally I would say "I can tell they love animals" but at this location, you can FEEL the love they have for animals. Kudos to the staff working on 11/09/2023 at around 2pm! Archie went from nervous to happy AFTER they took him to the back. Look at this happy boy at the "evil vet".

I have visited Crestview Vet Clinic twice in the 2.5 weeks since adopting our large breed puppy, Skruff. (I only wish it was for the on-tap cold brew coffee!) The first visit was for routine vaccinations. The second visit was because our 4 month old pup had ingested a number of human Rx medications. Dr. Kautz was calm and collected when I was anything but. (Skruff is doing well) The whole staff is professional and friendly. We will be back (hopefully) for scheduled check-ups.

Dr.Montero is amazing!! I had such a good experience from the phone call (reception was so sweet), to the vet tech (i forget her name but she was the best), to dr.montero. Everyone treated us with complete care and really worked with us. The only downside is how fast Dr.M had to make our interaction which isn't her fault, i believe they were just understaffed for vets at the time, but regardless she still really cared and gave a thorough exam !

We’ve been with Crestview Veterinary Clinic for a year and I cannot say enough good thing about this place. We took our puppy to another vet before coming here, and this place is just so clean, professional and welcoming. Dr. Butcher really cares about my him and makes sure he gets the best treatment when he’s in there. In fact, Latte loves this place so much he would run inside whenever we get there. He is very well loved by the people here.

First time visit with Dr. Butcher was great! I just adopted my pup a couple weeks ago, this was his first visit with me to the vet. He was pretty freaked but Dr. Butcher was very kind and made the exam short as to not stress him out further. She explained things thoroughly and made helpful suggestions. The rest of the staff I interacted with was also very friendly and the facility was clean. Definitely recommend!

My kitten was having a stomach ache & as a first time visiter I was having such trouble finding an appointment anywhere. Crest view scheduled me same day & gave me plenty of treatment options. They were gentle and my kitty felt so comfortable. Edit: A year later and they are still simply the BEST. The lady I spoke to calmed any nerves I had and gave me the BEST advice. I can’t recommend this place enough!.

These guys are amazing! Most places are in such a rush to get you in the office for minor things so they can charge you. On more than one occasion they were able to help me over the phone with an issue with my dogs and encouraged me to wait to come in. I even had one staff member help me get connected to a clinic that wasn’t as expensive to get my dog neutered. Everyone is always so pleasant and helpful.

What a vet! I’ve had dogs for a while and this is the best veterinary practice I have seen. Dr Kautz is amazing. He is great at what he does, has an excellent bedside manner and is patient and responsive. The staff is equally great, with each and every member clearly loving their jobs and the animals they treat. I’m happy to entrust my dogs’ lifetime care to this team. Wishing them all the best!!

Dr. Kautz, Dr. Brooks, Dr. Moreno and another Dr. who's name I can't recall right now and all the vet techs have all been so caring and patient with me and my fur babies. I trust them more than any other vet I've been to in the last 6 years. I drive over 30 mins for visits and can't imagine switching vets at this point. Crestview is the best veterinary clinic in Austin hands down!

I recently switched from another veterinarian in town and so happy I did. The staff were fantastic with getting caught up on all my cat's needs. Dr. Butcher was amazing with my cat and I feel like my cat will get really great care from this team. Everyone was so welcome, listened and understood all my concerns. I can't recommend this place enough, especially from one visit.

Crestview is the BEST! I've had dogs my whole life and have never seen the level of care that is standard here. I started here based on a word of mouth reco. Everyone I communicated with, from the person involved in scheduling Lola’s first appointment to her care provided by the vet tech and vet, were so professional and kind. We are happy with the excellent service we’ve received. I love how the entire check out process can be completed in the room, so I can head out to the car immediately after being seen.

Dr. Butcher is so warm, attentive and knowledgeable. We were so lucky to get a last minute appointment when our dog was not feeling well. Dr. Butcher helped treat our dogs and put our minds at ease. Not only was Dr. Butcher incredible but all of her staff were so loving and kind towards our pup. I’m so grateful we found this team to care for our dogs.

We love Dr. Kautz and his staff! Their new state of the art facility is beautiful, modern, and even has really good coffee! They've known my two Labrador's since they were both 8 weeks old and have been there every step of the way making sure they are as healthy as possible, even through all the scares. Honestly the best veterinary experience I've had as a pet owner has been with Crestview VC. The staff is so incredibly nice and organized, and I'd highly recommend Dr. Squires. I have family members that live outside of Austin who drive in for their yearly pet checkups - they don't trust any other establishment/team. That's how great they all are.

I took my kitty to Crestview after a horrible experience with another local vet and could not have had a better experience! Everyone there was kind, prompt, and helpful in every way. I went here regularly with my dog and always received excellent, professional service. I moved internationally recently and took my dog, and they were able to walk me through the paperwork needed as well as recommended proper medication and steps to prepare for the flight! Could not have asked for a better doctor to put me and my dog at ease.

Everyone at Crestview was wonderful. They took their time with my cat and let her warm up to them, and asked tons of questions and gave me plenty of time to formulate answers. They also have usda certified vets for help with getting my pup’s documents ready for international pet travel. Even after moving from Crestview, I drive here for the fantastic care they provide. Wonderful, kind, and thorough doctors. The techs are amazing and the best I’ve seen in Austin! Everyone is good with people, too, which is so important in vet care. And they’ll let you know if you can save money getting meds/supplies elsewhere, which is really different but so helpful in managing costs. Glad to call this our new vet home!

My daughter and I recently brought our Husky to Dr Kautz. He was very patient and answered all our questions thoroughly. After much consideration he put my Luna on medication and hopefully it will cure the infection. His technician was very kind and helpful as well and I would recommend this practice should you need a caring vet.

The good folks at Crestview Veterinary Clinic take great care with my rescue Great Pyrenees/Lab mix who suffers from severe anxiety when getting exams and nail clippings. I especially appreciate Dr. Carmona who is so patient and thorough. Dr Carmona goes out of his way to make sure my pup is getting the best treatment possible!

Everyone was amazing! My vet tech, Ashtin was so gentle with my girl corgi as she does get fearful of nail trims and she was able to do a great job on Hazel! Overall Ashtin was a pleasure to have as a vet tech her energy was top tier! The vet Marie Butcher was amazing as well so sweet with Java! Thank you all for everything !

I am a huge fan of Dr. Butcher. She just has a calming demeanor and is so good with my animals. I think your front desk team has been efficient and helpful. The various vet techs we have seen over our visits have been friendly, helpful and competent. I love being able to schedule an appointment online or over the phone.

We arrived early and got seen earlier than our appointment time. The staff was so friendly and amazing. They actually cared and took time to explain things about what was wrong with our kitten and a treatment plan instead of just trying to collect our money and moving onto the next patient. Been taking my dog, Penny, since she was a puppy. She is turning 3 years old this month, and no matter how far away we move from Central Austin, the drive is always worth it! They are so kind to my dog and I. She is very anxious with strangers, but they are always patient and respect her cues which I really appreciate.

The entire team at Crestview are the best! They are thorough and ensure that I always know the plan of care, but the best part is how much the love my dogs! They sing Snoop Dogg songs to my beagle named Snoop and always notice Emmylou’s newest fashion bow! I know they love my animals and put their best interest first!

My review got taken down. My dog was pit down yesterday. I was told 190 for everything and then they said “ oh 138 for sedation”. My very kind friends paid. My friend said the vet did come in and talk to him which I didn’t know. That was nice of him but raising the prove on a grieving pet parent is very uncool

Absolutely incredible experience every single time I go to! I cannot recommend this place enough! They truly care about my puppy and are so kind and friendly! Always happily answer any questions I have! My pup loves going because the staff go above and beyond to make her feel safe and comfortable!

Dr. Kautz is great with my older Cocker spaniel. He takes time to do a thorough exam and and answers all my dumb questions. He also has suggestions for my concerns. All of the staff at Crestview Vet Clinic are wonderful and I feel like they really like the animals they see. Highly recommend.

Dr. Butcher (surprisingly benevolent) and her tech Katelyn showed our pup more love and adoration in the 20 minutes I was there than I’ve been able to all week long. Leaving another visit to CVC feeling well taken care of. I just hope they refill the treats before his 2 wk follow-up!!

We recommend Crestview Veterinary Clinic without hesitation. We first met Dr. Kautz when our previous vet retired and a neighbor recommended him. During appointments he has answered all our questions and given guidance on our 3 dogs. We appreciate the care he has given to our family.

It was a relief to get a same-day appointment for Cleo, who was really sick. She's an older dog and I was nervous. Dr. Carmona and the technical assistants were patient, thorough, and kind and Cleo is doing so much better today. I really appreciate the good care she received.

Everyone at Crestview (both the Burnet and Airport locations) has always been a joy to deal with. The doctors, vet techs and front desk staff are always great. Even though our chihuahua, Mindy, can be a handful, no one has ever shown any frustration dealing with her.

We are so happy to have found this clinic. Dr. Butcher and the nurses care so much about our pets and always remember us and exactly what’s going on- we don’t ever have to re-explain issues. It truly feels like they care so deeply about animals and their wellness.

All the staff and doctors are amazing here. But we love Dr. Butcher! She's always so caring and really listens, and always has good recommendations. She seems to understand older dogs really well -- and totally understands how much our dogs mean to us humans.

Took my little dog here to get a lump checked on his leg. We're still waiting on the results, but i have to say the staff here at this veterinary in Austin TX were all kind and super nice. They really care about your pets and do whatever they can. Thank you!

Dr. Butcher is the best. I trust her completely with my 2 cats, one is easy peasy and one is pretty high maintenance and she takes care of both of them wonderfully. She’s very caring and takes the time to explain treatment options. Highly recommend.

Front desk staff was very nice. Our vet tech Katy (the kitty whisperer) was awesome, she made us feel like our cat was in good hands and handled him with ease even though he was hurt & angry. Dr. Carmona was great too, very kind and patient.

Dr Kautz and his Crestview staff saved our precious Ruby. She was so very sick we were afraid we were going to lose her. We are forever in your debt. Thank you so much for the care that you gave her. She is back to begging for treats!

Dr Kautz is awesome. We got worked in quickly for an appointment and he took a conservative approach with Lola’s care and thoroughly explained everything to us. So great having an amazing Vet clinic in our neighborhood.

Dr Butcher and Ashton were great with our Havanese! They made us and Ellie feel relaxed and provided us with all the information we needed. We were very happy with the outcome and Ellie did great!
