This church is dead, they have a name like they are alive but they are dead. The youth pastor spoke this last sunday about us being rich. Pastor James. He said that the love of money is the root of all evil, tell me sir where does it say that in the bible? The bible says the love of money is a root of all KINDS of evil. Not all evil. Not a big deal you might say? Well if you are preaching and leading people you should be leading them with fear and trembling before the Almighty God, in fear and reverence of Him and His word knowing that you will come under greater condemnation if you are teaching people falsely. Maybe he did that out of ignorance. I could let that go but he said that we shouldn't be worried about worldly possessions, but then went on to preach that we are in the top wealthiest in the world because we have more than enough food to eat at home, cars to drive, and most of us have cell phones. Leading us to believe that we should be thankful for these things(which we should) but Sir how do you know these people have enough food to eat etc.? What about us being rich because we have the love of Christ? That was NEVER mentioned at all. Just all about worldly possessions. The praise and worship was okay. But at the end a lady talked for 5 minutes about giving more to tithes and offerings to tie this all together, and after that a man with huge chains, wearing shades,(have some respect I know it says come as you are but what happened to the fear of God??) got up and rapped(which I do love rap myself) and said how much he was changed. Sir how HAVE you changed? You say your changed because you rap about God because you believe in Jesus? The demons in hell believe in Jesus. How has God changed you? Do the things you once loved you hate and are continuing in being more righteous? Or do you just say I know Him because remember Jesus said MANY will come to me on that day saying Lord Lord. In short, if you want to be entertained go here....if you want the truth, read the word of God. But you cant have both the world and God, you will either love one or hate the other. Which ironically was mentioned in this service. If you are trying to get your heart right don't come to a place that is all about flash and pizzazz these things are not pleasing to God, go to a place where you are broken and where you can get healing and get your heart right. This is all teaching about how it doesn't matter how you are God loves you just the way you are(insinuating that our sinful lives are acceptable) Any body can come to church, it doesnt mean you have your heart right. I moved to Tampa Sept 2014 and knew I needed to start the hunt for a new church home. A few had told me about Crossover so I gave it a try in Feb 2015. I visited other churches but seemed to always be drawn back to Crossover. Finally, I decided to stop searching and completed my membership course Feb 2016 and it's one of the best God-led decisions I've made in years! Maybe it's the CONSISTENT warm welcomes by our 1st Impressions Team, or maybe it's the unique delivery of the sermons and how they make the message applicable to the diverse population of our church or perhaps it's the variety of ministries available to members that allow ALL members to serve as an active participant (or ACTIVATOR as we like to call them) through the unique gifts God has blessed them with. Crossover is an exceptional example of a church body doing the work of God for its members and for its local community. I promise I would not steer you wrong...please join us, I promise you'll have a blast learning and growing in Christ =)

I wish I came sooner to this church, but God works in mysterious ways and maybe it just wasn't my tume before. I will testify, I have been to other traditional churches before; Catholic, Babtist, Evangelist, and other Non-dominational (I choose nondominational); This is the first time that I have truly felt like there is structure in the teachings and service. Its not a traditional church, and I was skeptical about coming here, but I will not take it back. I trully feel the presence of God when I am in here, and my kids (13 & 11) enjoy it, they actually say they want to come to church. They have a great kids & youth programs amongst other things. My daughter (13) says this church she can relate to as well since she is artistic and loves dance and music. Very diverse, even though its urban, but people of all types and ages attend. The church members have been so welcoming and lovable since ive been coming here. I highly recommend it and invite whoever reads this to come visit to any of their services.

I built a relationship with Christ through the true teaching of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I've learned to discover myself through Christ, develop it and display the Love of Christ to people inside and outside of the church walls. The Pastors are at arms reach and truly desires to see you grow. There are resources in helping you build a genuine relationship with our Father God, the Son and the Holy Spirit. What I Love is the diversity amount of people that this church naturally attracts. Rich, Poor, Black, White, Latino, Asians, Yellow, Green, it doesn't matter about your ethnic background or who you are. Come as you are. I Love their hours of service. 1st service is @ 9am, their 2nd service is @ 10:30am and their 3rd service is at 12:30pm. It's for early birds and the sleep in type of people. It doesn't matter what I write on this comment section because you need to see it for yourself. Action speaks louder than words. God Bless!!

Not sure if people know what they want in a Christian experience However, if it is a place to learn about the everyday application of the Holy Bible regardless of your income, race, nationality or age, Crossover is the best place to put on the end of your list. It will be your last stop. Sincere diverse leadership with a systematic yet organic approach to inclusion and outreach. Leaders and followers are develooes here. Kid friendly up to the age of 90 years old. Great use of new music styles for worship without compromising traditional praise. Ready to keatn, ready to serve, or ready to fill a purpose the will unlock everything else you have been missing, try a place where you see Christ in His members everyday.

I absolutely love crossover!!!! It's different and speaks everyone's language. One of the best churchs in tampa. I moved here last year and wanted a church home I can be happy at and not put me to sleep. My best friend has been coming to the church and introduced me. I been at crossover ever since. I love the fact I can come dressed down because let's face it not everyone has dress clothes and can afford them. If you read the Bible it does not say come in your Sundays best. It says come as you are. He only looks at your love for Him not what your wearing. I love that crossover it in there community giving back not like most churches who only caters to their members. Crossover family is growing!!!! Come be apart of it with no judgement.

My family and I have been coming to Crossover Church for a little over 9 years. We have had the privilege of seeing God move in amazing ways, not only in our lives but in Crossover Church as well. I've been here before and honestly this church is a bit wild. Sales everywhere, rap music (not mostly an issue) really being advertised and not actually worship, most of the times you hear a self help message and not actual biblical preaching. If you're looking for a decent church to learn and actually connect with people do not come here. I also went to their youth ministry a while back and it was just crazy entertainment, the people in charge are friendly for the most part but you won't really connect with the people there unless you're apart of the nonsense. Most people reviewing just give a good review on the atmosphere and music but that isn't what christianity is about.

Some wrote a review on this church saying " evertime I come to this church,they talk about money" Not accurate,not even close. Maybe that person always has money in their mind. The fact that they do mention it once in a while,don't mean all the time, and when they do mention money,they do it in a way where you can tell their good intentions,I mean,just walking in to the building you see the good intentions. They ll watch your kids for free so you can seat down and enjoy service,and that just a small example. This is one church that if you do decide to trust your money on,they will not disappoint you. I attended this place plenty of times and it's a positive atmosphere. The pastor is cool but he likes to talk about himself a lot and how fresh his outfits are. The other pastor thinks he's a standup comedian. I don't attend church for this stuff I need to hear the word and get healing! Also, I've sown many seeds here with my hard earned money and I called them last week asking for help because I'm facing eviction. Of course I haven't gotten a call back not even just to pray with me. I'm not surprised a church is willing to take my money but when it comes time for me needing help I get ignored. No surprise at all!

I was committed to a church many years ago. Since moving to a new area I started looking again. This is not your typical church. That is what I LOVE about it. I have been consistently going for over a month and I am so excited to say I feel at home. This church does not judge you, it is very diverse and inclusive. The love the church has for the children and the community is the inspiration I've been searching for. I am very excited for Sunday to roll around so I can attend this very special church and feel positive and motivated to start my week and share the love of God. I am so glad that I found Crossover!

I love Crossover Church. I attended when they were at the old location and would drive all the way from St. Pete to experience this fellowship. I moved over to the new location as well and continued to serve when I could. As a young adult and renewed believer in Christ they helped keep the spark in me alive. Many yrs later CO still holds a dear place in my heart and I look forward to visiting again soon. Pastor Tommy, his wife, and the whole congregation were always welcoming. There is no perfect church because there are no perfect people, but CO is a great church for fellowship and family!

I have attended this church since 2019, and I love it. This church does preach the bible true to its word. The church members are very diverse and friendly. If you are a Christian rapper, they love to have you perform on stage. What is noticeable is since Covid-19, it seems like this church has lost a lot of old members now has many new members; so the new change is noticeable. For anyone deciding on joining this church , you have the option of watching them online. I did that for 6 months, and after I decided they were solid and I became a member.

Every time I'm in Tampa this is the church I come and visit. Well balanced teaching from both Pastor Tommy and Pastor Chris. They do not shy away from tough conversations and topics that need to be discussed in the church. They are consistent in helping the community around them and always do different things that help engage the community in an unconventional way. This is not a traditional church , but what is taught is scripturally foundational that believes in discipleship and serving, Teaching what it means to Love God and Love ppl.

I can honestly say I have been away from going to church because the ones I went to I felt judged, and wasn't feeling I was being fed correctly spiritually. I have a very strong belief in faith but I have been wanting a church I feel welcomed and feel the holy spirit moving through me. My daughter started going first then eventually I went and now I love it it is what I need right now with everything my family is going through and went through. Thank you everyone at Crossover for showing the true meaning of a church.

A nontraditional church that teaches the Gospel and it all comes straight from the Bible! The staff and congregation is very friendly and welcomes all! There's a lot of diversity and most importantly love here. I was very skeptical about attending this church but I am so happy that I did. I have made a lot of new friends/family here and missy importantly grown tremendously in my relationship with Christ. They offer so much here to help the community and use every opportunity possible to spread the Gospel!

I've loved y'all for years.... I have brought it to both pastors attention that it is very unprofessional not to answer the reviews people are sitting there giving their hearts out corns our hearts out praising them and not one review have they got a response and said thank you I don't understand I have brought it to their attention more than once but I still love you guys and I still love God but it does not excuse the fact that you don't answer are reviews...

I consider myself a hip hop head having grown up when the culture was being birthed. I am a 46 year old divorced mother of two, originally from the St. Petersburg area, Crossover Church is a refreshingly unique experience for my lifestyle...more aligned with my preferences than church as usual. I'm thankful to Pastor Tommy Kyllonen and what he's doing in my neck of the woods. I always look forward to go back home and visit Cossover!

I went there and sat quietly through the church service. I explicitly told them I was there for the food pantry. Afterwards I was told the food pantry had no food. I emailed the church last month and was told that yes I could get food there last month. It's a good thing I have other options. I will delete this negative review when I do get food from the food pantry, not before.

It can be challenging to walk into a church where you don't know anyone and feel welcomed. Well at this place everyone was super nice and welcoming. It wasn't weird or awkward and people did not make you feel like you did not belong. It was great! Walking up it was different and casual but very welcoming and inviting. My family has been part of this church and we love it.

I think Crossover is an amazing church. They reach the young as well the older crowd, the music,worship and spirit moves undeniably here. If you have not visited,NOW is the time. 12 years of attending as of 2023. My life is better because of the leadership of Crossover. Not only have I found a home amongst a diverse family of people, but I’ve been constantly challenged to grow in my walk with Christ. If you’re looking for the Spirit in the worship, life in the message, and a community in the people, this is where you should be.

I absolutely LOVE THIS CHURCH on this particular day the power went out however people all turned on our flashlights so we could see the pastor it was truly majical we were praseing in the dark and we realized that the God cross light you was still on,but it was powered by electricity and we knew JESUS, GOD, THE LORD was with us Amen✝️

The church is really involved with the youth, community and I love that. They give the people a chance to Express God through their authentic self. They offer so many other options that related to the gospel of Christ.

I love this church they also had a child care on the side but since there was no income coming in they had to close it but it was great my grandbabies went there for childcare and they were great just like the church
