"Avoid Crown Cycles"
"A most helpfull shop ! I have made 2 visits and 4 phone calls ! All of which were enquiries about an ebike I am cosidering buying ! No purchase so far , but never the less i receive the up most help ! I havebeen assured that unless I am completely satisfied they would not wish to sell me a bike ! I recently decided on a particular bike and when Iphoned to do adeal I found that the bikes makers had ceased trading ! I was advised that a bike was in stock but de cent people they are they pointed out allthe snags that could occure with such a purchase ! I WILL RETURN TO THEM when i am able todecide on another make ! T ony Wilson"

"Proper independent cycle store for all your cycling needs - bikes (inc electric), accessories and servicing"
"Mark is very professional"
Avoid Crown Cycles. I had a very poor experience at Crown Cycles and will not be using them ever again. I put my bike in for a £40 service, and agreed at the outset that I would want to know in advance before spending anything significant. We agreed that any minor items such as inner tubes etc. (which cost circa £5) would be ok. After agreeing this in advance, only to then be charged over £100 upon collection is very poor. I agreed immediately to pay the full bill but expressed my disappointment at how this has worked out, given the conversation we had in advance. The attitude of the member of staff was again very poor; he was arrogant, completely dismissive and quite frankly sarcastic as my wife and I left the shop. The whole experience left a poor taste in my mouth. Very unprofessional and somewhat underhand.

Helpful and responsive. First encountered this shop when urgently seeking a replacement part for my e-bike, having discovered it had been stolen on a weekend. They were quick to assist. Open every day, have had several services done since then and yesterday, when one of my pedals flew off the bike still attached to the shaft, they were again at the ready to assist and replace ASAP. I use my bike for commuting so easy access and quick turnaround are important to me. Crown have never disappointed in two years.
Proper independent cycle store for all your cycling needs - bikes (inc electric), accessories and servicing. From children and first time riders to the hardcore lycra gang, owner Mark and his team will look after you, often going the extra mile to get what you need, as was the case for me, looking for new grips to fit alongside GripShift gears. Highly recommended. Keep it local folks!
Mark is very professional. He takes the job so serious even for putting on a few bolts on my bike. It turns out the coating of my bike blocking the bolts going in, and he is experienced and got his tool to clear it carefully without causing any damage. When I was leaving, he was so kind to give me some safety tips on using pannier bag.
Asked to borrow an 11mm Allen key to change a free hub, would have taken all of 2 minutes. Offered to give to charity in exchange but the answer was no. Sadly there is no such thing as a friendly local bike shop any more. So sad. Avoid if I were you. Richmond cycles just up the road were more than happy to help.
Got a flat on the ride to work, and popped in for a quick replacement - turned out to be a massive improvement on my usual commute, as Mark was quick to get me sorted, and provided lovely conversation along the way. Won't be aiming to have another flat, of course, but if it happens nearby, I won't be upset!
Great service and very helpful owner. Service and repair to a kids bike was done quickly and efficiently. They tried to reuse all the existing parts and minimise replacing parts. Quoted upfront and came in under the quoted price. Would definitely use Crown Cycles again without hesitation.
Just took my electric bike to get fixed, and they done a superb job! Highly recommend, bike it all up and running but it's the little touches like kept me updated through the whole process and tightening my bike stand that was a little loose. Really pleased
Absolutely the best service. Mark was extremely helpful and had Excellent communication, very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Probably best bike shop I have dealt with in West London. (After having dealt with 5 of them over time!)
Mark is a total legend. Very, very knowledgeable and always goes the extra mile to ensure everything is perfect no matter if he’s just sorting a pedal or carrying out a full strip down service. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Mark the owner is brilliant, great honest advice fully serviced my old Cannondale road bike instead of buying a new bike and the work was quick rebuilt it and been going like a dream. Defo recommend him and this shop.
Immensely knowledgable and helpful staff. Everything I have purchased on their recommendation has been as long lasting and well made as stated. Could not recommend enough
Mark is a star. A proper local bike guy. I often just pop in for a chat! Great knowledge from kiddie bike basics to high end bike construction and fitting
Mark is one of the most genuine people you could ever meet. He has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to bikes. He would go the extra mile to help.
Superb bike shop. Focus is on quality and giving you the bike that's best for you. Top notch servicing, great advice.
I don't know how the place is, but I came in on Sunday at 10:30 and it was closed. Don't make my mistake :)
great shop with experienced knowledgeable and helpful staff good range of bikes/ebike at reasonable prices
It was the only place in sw london where I could found a kid's bike frog 52 during the lockdown.
