NEGLECTFUL VETS! My dog had been going to this vet for approx 3 years. 2 years ago a lump started growing on his side. After my repeated requests for removal vet kept saying it wasn't necessary as just a fatty lump. It grew quickly into a very large lump and time and time again I was told he is not in any pain, no need to operate, it’s just fat. Another vet then takes a look 2 years later and agrees it needs to be removed and he’s likely in pain. Turned out to be cancerous! 6 weeks after that operation I rush him up there as he can’t stand or move. I tell vet somethings really not right. Response... “he has an upset stomach, just feed him chicken and rice for next two days”. Took him home and he seemed to be getting worse so trusted my gut and that I know my dog.. take him to another vet who actually listened to me and took one look at him and said he needed to go straight to emergency. 5 hours later we were saying goodbye to him in emergency. The apparent upset stomach was ruptured spleen and internal bleeding. He’d been in extreme pain all day and I was told he was fine, just an upset stomach. My dogs are family and I lost one of my best mates due to negligence. Manager rang me to discuss after I complained and showed no sympathy and was stone cold on the phone. Just interested in defending her clinic which speaks volumes! Stark contrast to the second vet clinic who reassessed him that had never met us. They reached out to convey sympathy and even sent lovely card as did the emergency centre who again didn’t know us. Would never let these guys near my pets again!
Our beautiful cat, Augie got herself lost unfortunately and we contacted Croydon Pet Hospital (CPH), checking if she had been surrended to them. The staff were amazing, they were extremely emphatic and knowledgeable, taking a full description of our cat and assuring us that if she surrended to them they would be in contact asap. We were relieved a short time later when CPH contacted us to say they had Augie with them. They were truly amazing, at no time did they make us feel like irresponsible cat owners and were very obliging when we asked them to contact the person who had found Augie to facilitate an exchange details. My cats have been patients with the clinic and i have always been pleased with the customer service and care however this was going the extra mile. Thank you CPH, we are extremely grateful to the caring people who assisted in reuniting our gorgeous girl with us.
The care, compassion and attention we’ve received so far has been wonderful. We were clients/patients of a nearby vet clinic for many years, but after visiting Croydon Pet Hospital for an urgent appointment, decided to start going here for our annual check ups. The waiting room is nice and big, and their team will go above and beyond to make sure your pet is as comfortable as possible. They are trusting, non-judgmental, and friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. Dr Jess is incredibly calm and gentle with our border collie, and understands the unique personality traits that come with the breed. She’s happy to answer any and all questions, and provides clear, easy to follow instructions for pet owners. Very glad that we found her!
I found a very unwell/injured possum in my garden today and was told by wildlife rescue to take it (them - she had a baby/babies) to a local vet. I went to another that was "closed" (never going there again) and then called Croydon Pet Hospital - another in my area and they were only too responsive and welcoming, and encouraged me to bring the poor girl in ASAP. Arriving they came out quickly and took her in and soon came out to tell me that she had unfortunately passed etc. Thanks so much for caring for animals that many people will harm. We have a new rescue dog (no he was not outside) and don't have a local vet and I certainly will be using Croydon Pet Hospital for him as they clearly are caring and responsive - thanks
We have a 16year old silver tabby (Trixi) who can be a bit of a Grumpy Nana however Jo treats her gently, with care, patience and respect. She recently had her teeth cleaned and whilst she reverted to her younger days where she was more of a hell cat, when they handed her back, it was with laughs and smiles. It's also the only clinic we've been to who called the next day to check in on her. Additionally, Belinda is one of the most knowledgeable people for rabbit care that I know. If you have bunnies, go here, they are super lucky to have her on the team. I absolutely recommend these guys they are amazing and genuinely care.
Such a great vet clinic, all the friendly staff really seem to care for every animal and seem to put the dogs and customers needs before trying to make a profit (unlike other vets). Very well priced on the many times we've been there for our cheeky dog doing things she shouldn't, and they always run through all the options and are upfront about costs. They've also helped us very quickly and are great at prioritising when the dog needs it. Seeing that they often have a doggo or another pet getting pats in their reception area shows to me how much they all love animals! Thanks so much to all the team at Croydon Pet Hospital
I took my golden retriever “Henry” in today, and just wanted to share my experience, the lady at the front was very helpful putting him on the scales, and instantly gave a warm welcome, then we seen the vet doctor her name was Apple, and she was just 10/10 and could not pick one fault in everything she done, she explained everything on what to do, what’s happened and how she will make our dog better. So well done guys you are a great business in our community, and I’ll be spreading the word on how great my experience was, and we will be back again for sure. Thanking you all guys.
I took my pet here on the long weekend (Sunday). The receptionist was so kind and patient. You really should try to book but I was desperate to find a good vet and walked in. My cat somehow managed to sprain his front leg!! Go figure!! Anyway, the vet was marvellous !! If I could rate them 100 I defintely would. They only charged me $145!!! I expected to pay more!! Thank you, thank you Croydon pet hsp....have now changed all my pets over. Just had an emergency visit today. The Team fitted us in no worries. From the Reception to the Vet.....BRILLIANT!! Cost very reasonable too.
They were very kind and did their best for us, but I can't get my head around this upselling of burials thing. They did their very best for us though, including making sure I could say goodbye. In the past couple of decades vet care has become pretty pricey. These folks are really good and kind, but we've imported so much of American culture now that if you get a pet you really must consider pet insurance. There's no PBS or Medicare to help support their costs. They aren't all Jeff Bezos. And if you ever feel like doing someone a good turn, donate to Pets of the Homeless.
The team at Croydon Pet Hospital looked after our beautiful boy Bailey and also took care of a baby possum we found inside our home. Each interaction with them has been professional, courteous and warm. Their costs are also very reasonable considering the amount of care given. When Bailey passed they sent a beautiful card with some very kind heart-warming words which I shall always appreciate & remember. Thank you to the team at Croydon Pet Hospital for your service to our community & your kindness. I totally recommend their services. ❤️
I visited the Croydon Pet Hospital today without an appointment and was fortunate to have my dog seen to by Alice and Tiffany. The quality of service provided by both Alice and Tiffany go beyond 5 stars and although I did not have an appointment they took the time to ensure my dog was calm prior to providing excellent treatment. Alice provided an in depth treatment plan with a number of options, this included costs of future treatment and medications required. Thank you again.
Rang at 9:40 on a public holiday for our 12 yo Kavoodle who was is a bit of distress. Was seen by the most wonderful and caring vet at 10:15. 2 injection were given and blood tests performed. Diagnosis from the blood test given prior to midday. On a public holiday !! Vet has made a note to ensure we ring them with an update at 8am tomorrow. Could not speak more highly of this group. Caring, professional and kind. Would not go anywhere else.
The team at Croydon Pet hospital have been caring for our family mokkies for the past 20+ years & in our experience the team do a fabulous job of taking care of our much loved family members.. weather it is just a simply check up or annual grooming OR a serious health issue the team always have the best interests & welfare of our pet as the highest priority hence we highly recommend the Croydon Pet Hospital.
Max is a 15 yrs old Ragdoll cat had a bad stroke and was left with poor health . Croydon Vet not our vet at all, after poor diagnosis with Max we decided to ring Croydon Pet. The staff were brilliant for our needs, even during covid we where allowed to say goodbye in a beautiful way for Max . Thank you so much to care about us and Max . Eventually we shall get another animal you have our business.
We took our super fluffy Ragdoll cat in to get a teddy bear shave and all his matted fur shaved off as he hates being brushed. I was nervous for my cat and as to what it would look like but they did an awesome job and it wasn’t too drastic. He was a much happier cat afterward and didn’t take long to grow back. Staff were very caring and communicated well before, during and after.
All staff at Croydon Pet Hospital are friendly, knowledgable, and more improtantly, are extremely caring towards my two dogs. One of my dogs has a range of issues, and they know him by name, always ask how he is going, and try to help me out (eg rushing to have medication available) whenever possible. Thank you!
Amazing staff! They were caring and very compassionate when we had to take our 13 year old pet child for euthanasia. They gave us time to say goodbye and asked us when we were ready. They were very informative in a gentle way and we never felt pressured, even about the decision on what to do with the remains.
The team at Croydon Pet Hospital are super friendly and my animals love going there. The staff are always helpful and you can tell they all love animals. Quality care is good value here! The car park is bit noisier now because the intersection was changed so make sure you always have your dog on lead here.
My little Japanese chin cross “Bobby” is most relaxed with the caring staff at Croydon Pet Hospital, there service is top notch, very professional and cost effective. We can be sure he will receive the best of care and we won’t be ripped off. We can truly recommend this professional courteous service,
Croydon Pet Hospital was amazing. We had found a deceased possum with a baby sticking out of the pouch. We brought it to Croydon vet hospital and they took care of what turned out to be 2 possum babies. The nurse brought them out to show us and said their chance of survival was high due to their age
Absolutely delighted with the service for my aging dog. I was 20 years in my last suburb and over the last 2 years in Croydon have tried most of the clinics, This one is the one clinic where I felt staff were totally knowledgeable and not just practising by rote. Extended hours which helps too.
My dog tore off after a roo and cut her stomach open on something. The team there squeezed her in immediately and had her stitched up, good as new within about half an hour and the price seemed really reasonable to me. They were also really sweet to both of us.
Just picked up our dog Jimmy after surgery and Kirsty/ kristy helped with the handover and she was absolutely so informative and kind especially around such a sensitive topic! 10/10 customer service and clearly really really good at what she does. Thank you
This vet is always great, they take great care of my three dogs. It's a little more expensive than some other local vet's but I feel piece of mind when I leave them there for surgery. They've been caring for our dogs for 7 years or so. Very friendly team.
Amazing place, staff and most importantly, care. Our little Bengal x Ragdoll is treated like family and love bringing him here. So informative and we are kept up to date with everything that happens with our little guy. Thank you guys, highly recommended!
Service for cat boarding excellent we booked last minute as our vet boarding wasnt re opened yet since covid. The staff are so pleasant Megzy settled in well we chose the service for nail clipping. Thanks to all the vet care & staff. …
Best vet we have found so far! Staff are amazing, they have been more than supportive through some complex issues with our furbabies but more importantly been so supportive to our family through it all. Could not recommend them highly enough
I highly recommend this clinic. Staff are very thorough with my dogs ongoing medical conditions. Very clean establishment. Not only are the vets brilliant but the nurses are incredible and are always willing to go above and beyond to help you.
Went for a second opinion on my dogs condition. The vets were thorough, competent, friendly and timely. They were able to determine the real source of my dogs pain and provided excellent follow up care. Now have a happy dog. Highly recommend
Staff are wonderful and caring about our fur babies. They follow up after the operation to see how things are going. This is a comforting service that helps in the family coping with the street. Well done to all the staff.
First visit and was very impressed. Lovely staff, a huge waiting room. Covid restrictions were also spot on. We saw Apple and she was so Lovely with Zeus. Had all his yearly injections and didn't feel a thing.
We had to make an emergency appointment and, although they were busy, found time to fit our little dog, Lottie, in. They were very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend there services. Well done.
They have looked after our pets past and present over many years. Friendly staff who show compassion for your pets and vets all explain in detail any treatments you need to administer post your visit.
Staff here are amazing and always go above and beyond for your pet. We have being coming here for years and have always loved the care and attention all the vets and nurses give to our dogs.
Not happy sent me home after a quick consultation. My dog was in a life threatening position for which I had to seek further treatment resulting in a major operation costing thousands.
Very friendly staff, very caring and informative. The space is very clean and professional, and also welcoming. The prices are surprisingly good! This will become our regular vet now.
Fantastic vet, very impressed. Thanks for spending so much time to make my reactive dog feel comfortable so he now doesn't have a fear of the vet and actually looks forward to going
I have brought my creatures to Croydon Pet Hospital for the last 25 years. I would not trust anyone else to care for my fur babies. Great vets and nurses. Caring and compassionate.
This place is excellent and full of very caring staff who have an obvious passion for animal care. I absolutely trust my pet rabbits with them and highly recommend the vet, Emily.
When I had an emergency with my cat they were really helpful. They referred me on to another vet hospital and made arrangements for our arrival. Couldn't have been more helpful.
Very helpful and caring staff. Love the paw prints they were able to get of our little girl Da'Lady after she passed away so suddenly. Thank you so much for trying to save her.
This team is so caring, listen to my concerns and are incredible with my elderly cat and my puppy. Wouldn't take my fur-kids anywhere else... Thank you Croydon Pet Hospital! ❤️
We had to say goodbye to our little girl this afternoon. Jo was so caring and compassionate and really helped us through this difficult time. Amazing nurse. Thanks Jo

Very professional staff, but always friendly. Cannot fault their approach, and prices are very reasonable given the high quality of care and premises.
Lovely staff, very helpful with needing to drop off a baby bird for a.wildlife carer to collect. Would definetly use this vet again for my own pets!
First time visitor with my dog. Staff were extremely tentative and helpful. Having just moved into the area this will become my regular vet clinic.
Super lovely vet and receptionists. Took great care of our doggo and he didn’t even realise he had been vaccinated. Pangy (Angus) will be back!
