I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received at your Castle Vale Retail Park store, located on Chester Rd, Birmingham. I visited your store today the 19th of February to purchase two laptops and five tablets as gifts for my family members. However, my experience at the store was marred by the unprofessional and rude behavior of the store manager. From the moment I entered the store, the manager picked me and labeled me because of my skin color. It was apparent that he was uncomfortable with the fact that I was buying multiple devices and assumed that I could not afford them. The situation escalated when he asked me for my identity in a rude manner. He also suggested that I go to another store because he felt I was buying too much. This was a clear indication of racial profiling, and it was very hurtful and humiliating. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism and respect shown by the manager. His behavior was not only insulting but also uncalled for. I felt discriminated against and humiliated in front of other customers. In addition to the store manager's discriminatory behavior, I would like to draw your attention to his lack of interest in my status as a foreign customer. When I explained that I was visiting from France and would like to purchase gifts for my family, he showed a complete lack of interest and did not offer any assistance or advice. This was very disappointing and unprofessional, especially as I had come to the store with the intention of making a significant purchase. It is important for store managers to provide quality customer service and support to all customers, regardless of where they are from or what they look like. I have always been a loyal customer of Curry's Electronics and have never had any negative experiences before. However, my experience at your Castle Vale Retail Park store has left me feeling extremely disappointed and disgusted. I believe that such behavior from a store manager is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. As a result of the store manager's unprofessional and discriminatory behavior, I was made to feel unwelcome and embarrassed. However, I can confirm that I eventually made the purchase of the items worth 2,922 pounds with receipt number 010503 after I showed him my identity and bank app to prove that I was capable of making the purchase. I find it extremely unfortunate that I had to prove my financial capability just because of the color of my skin. It is unacceptable for a store manager to treat a customer in such a manner, and I hope that your team will take appropriate steps to ensure that this never happens again. I urge you to take appropriate action against the manager and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. I hope that you will take this matter seriously and investigate the issue to prevent any other customer from experiencing the same kind of treatment. Kolawole AJIBADE

I purchased a dishwasher in store. I was happy with the price being quoted by the girl helping us, but then told there was a glitch and the price was higher than originally stated at point of purchase. Proceeded anyway, got home checked the price of the product from my receipt online and found out I’d been ripped off £80. Had to return to the store to get this sorted as couldn’t on the phone. The process of fixing this error involved further inconvenience of missing preferred delivery slot by 2 days. Store manager completely unsympathetic and unprofessional and was unable to offer any compensation and tried to refer to returning the £80 they tried to rip me off for as a discount. Also started trying to tell me about there computer system like I’m interested. (Clearly has very little experience in dealing with customers). A further warning as he described the member of staff who tried to overcharge me £80 as his best member of staff, and she had stated to me at point of purchase that she had seen a similar (glitch/price jump) on an iPhone she had sold recently. Hope that other customers price checked when they got home, as ripping off maybe standard practice at this store. Terrible customer experience. Will not be going to this store again. Avoid like the plague.

Meet a young man called Jamie what a credit to the store he was very busy but stopped to help me find a TV. And at same time help sell another TV to a gentleman. Done in such a way we both felt valued customers. Because off Jamie the store sold two TV with in 10mins. Then the young lady at the till took TV to my car. Amazing customer service. In past not been a lover off curry's. But because of these two outstanding staff members I will always go back to this store. Thank you for outstanding customer service Jamie you are a credit to curry's Plus added bonus free parking Today found out tv had a fault. Have to say the phone line help. Nit worth the 45 mins. Talking to 4 people. So went back to store. Was dealt with a lovely young man Robert who sorted out an exchange. Instore customer service amazing. Phone customer service. So not so much. Guys thank you for your help today

My 6 Yr old granddaughter saved all her vouchers up to get a lap top. After contracting strep a she became very ill so to help cheer her up I thought I would save up and put the rest for her. We found a lap top which was £219. (Ouch) She had £75 in vouchers. The guy who served us was saying the vouchers didn't work, after about 10 minutes I told him to forget the vouchers and I paid the whole £219 leaving me over drawn in the bank. He told me that even if I spoke to a manager the out come would be the same so I left it at that. His attitude was nonchalant. I left vowing never to return.

A recent purchase using Currys' online service could have gone a lot smoother but for their antiquated and next to useless IT system. Not made any easier by their so-called on-line assistant, which attempting to navigate or get any useful results was like juggling soot! A 'Thank you' must go to Chris at the Castle Vale branch, for his assistance locating our Buy-online, Collect-at-store purchase. He gained you a few extra stars for this review, Currys management, and guess what.. he's a HUMAN, and we were able to actually TALK to him and get somewhere. On-line assistant my arse!

Quick tip … Was going curry’s but phone had to be ordered so instead preferred to go Argos as they had same deal with £100 off a curry’s did but if you entered code.And on top of this you get free nectar points also so prefer Argos than curry’s as you get some extra rewards back. Get nectar points then you can shop on eBay and Argos and Esso petrol that way you get nectar points and can save them up Redeem a voucher towards shopping on eBay or Argos. Every point and penny to pound counts nowadays

Decent quantity of models for almost all electrical appliances are available. I went to this store again because the last time hospitality from one of the salesperson was amazing. He was quite busy today and another young & beautiful lady helped us today until towards the end. Her hospitality was really great, she knows what we were looking after, great personality, Wish her a great future ahead. Happy to visit again to the store with such a great hospitality.

My partner and I popped in to return a game bought over Christmas and we’re served by Robert - he was wonderful! I was stood in waiting a short while (no problem as the employee on the desk was clearly in the middle of helping another customer), Robert noticed and came straight over and within what must have been only 5 minutes, we were on our way. He was attentive, polite and incredibly helpful! Thank you so much all, especially Robert!

We went in looking for a TV knowing pretty much what we wanted and expecting to buy online. In deciding between two TVs we decided to ask for help which is when Vish came to help us to make our final decision. He was very sweet and genuine and was the reason we decided to buy from Curry’s. I was amazed how Curries have upped their game since we last were there about 5 years ago. The item ordered was ready for us, the staff were all excellent. The big warehouse man loaded the car in seconds without my help and Josephine was great sorting out an issue and managed eventually to sell us an out of stock item off display for us to take away. And she was friendly, interested and good fun. Excellent.

I spoken to a girl on customer service called safia, I have to say the worst attitude I have experienced being spoken over and not able to explain my situation and for a customer who spends regular money in-store and online I am appuled by the service offered not helpful and will not be using again, poor quality of customer services and need to review who they have customer facing !!!!

Came to this store to purchase a fridge freezer. We needed to ask a few questions about an item and when an assistant came over, his customer service was diabolical. Seemed like we were being an inconvenience and he was very rude and abrupt. At one point, he made an inappropriate comment. I would not return to this store and due to his attitude ordered online elsewhere instead.

Not impressed with TV delivery especially after paying £65 for TV set up. Guy was rushed, complained the whole time. When we asked for help with setting up aspects of TV he told us..'it's not my job' . .really??? I paid £65 for someone just to fit a small stand and plug it in Total rip off in the house for under 10 mins..Great hourly rate!

Excellent customer service here, I made a click and collect order, was greeted by a staff member with a big smile and friendly welcome, I wish I had noted his name. Anyway apart from that the prices are good and they say that they won't be beaten on price. All in all a great experience and I will definitely be returning.

I was after a printer. They've got a huge variety of electronics. Printers starting from £34 all the way up to £500. They've got this price comparison offer. If any other competitor is selling anything at a lower price, Currys will match that price. Great customer service

Went to pick up a mobile case after receiving an email saying the item is ready for collection. Spoke to the super happy assistant (sarcasm) who informed me it was not there. Second time Currys have done this. Click and collect is a lottery at this store.

Vishvak helped me to buy a washer-dryer and fridge. He also tried to upsell internet and insurance but I choose not to add them at this moment. He was very professional and helpful throughout my purchase which made experience very good at Currys.

Avoid Curry's at all costs! They delivered a faulty washing machine to me, it looks as though it has been water damaged and the plug is also damaged. I phoned the manufacturer and they gave me an uplift number to give to the store. Curry's
