Worst service I have ever received. I took my bike in for a "pro service" and rear wheel rebuild. I explained everything that I wanted to the technician. Three weeks later, having heard nothing, I checked in. To my surprise, the workshop had no idea what my bike was there for. I reminded them and a week or so later was told that I should come and collect my bike. When I got there, nothing had been done!!! I was very angry as it was the 3rd time that I had been there. I gave them more time and eventually they did the job. The cost was R6000. Within 20 minutes of my first ride, my rear shock failed completely (pictures attached). When I told this to Cycle Lab, they attempted to blame me for it. It took Cycle Lab FIVE MONTHS to fix the damage which they caused: costing me the 2023 enduro race season and ALL of my fitness, not to mention the emotional trauma which I experienced due to not having my bike for nearly half a year. When I finally got my bike back, I found that every single one of the spokes on the supposedly rebuilt wheel were loose and 22 out of my 32 spoke nipples failed within a month, causing permanent damage to my wheel.

The store will no doubt delight anyone who wishes to purchase a new bike and does not care about the price. They have a small selection of accessories and basic spares. Repairs are offered but parts need8 to be ordered do you can expect to wait a few days. This sort of place is very keen to encourage you to leave your bike at their workshop for any service. The reality is that bikes are pretty easy to maintain and repair yourself, barring a very few things requiring special jigs and skill. Serious cyclists are going to stick with the bike stores that keep lots of spares and offer reasonable prices with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Those stores are located in places that charge low rent but everyone knows where they are.

(I was supposed to post this review in December 2022). In December 2022 I was in the market for a MTB. I tried several shops around Durban and ended up at cycle lab. It was my first time there. Like the previous shops I’d been to, sales staff were not interested in listening to me and seemed like they wanted to make a sale I perhaps I didn’t look like I was gonna help them get there. Then I met Rowan Naidoo. Rowan gave me his full attention and asked me enough questions to understand my needs. He understood I was a newbie and my intended activities, and the equipment I needed. We ended up speaking for a long time and I finally bought my MTB. Rowan is an asset to that store!

I recently had a bike fit done at Cyclab Cornubia, with Rowan Naidoo, to my road bike. He was extremely patient, and very knowledgeable, and even managed to accommodate me on very short notice, especially a few days before Christmas, their busiest period. When we had a technical problem with the bike seat, and I thought this was just going to become a very costly fitting, he was able to find a solution to the problem, by phoning up a bike agent. The adjustments he made to my bike have made a great difference to my riding so far, in terms of comfort and power. Thanks, Rowen for your fabulous service. Kevin Naicker

First time I have been to Cycle Lab. I called in before I came through. I selected the sales option. I asked the guy for a specific size type of Tyre and he put me through work shop..(not sure as to why) Cliff at the workshop asked me to hold on and after some time returned stating the he had that specific sized Tyre at the advertised price on line. So I drive 20 minutes during my lunch to get there.... A sales guy looks for it and now tells me there is no stock and only one in Forways. This store has really wasted my time..... It's the first and last time I will be going there.

I've been to several bike shops over the years, but keep coming back to CycleLab Cornubia to see Rowen Naidoo because of the fantastic service, expertise, knowledge and honesty I always receive from Rowen Naidoo. Great service, I will probably never go to another bike shop as long as he is still at CycleLab Cornubia. I have purchased three of our Bicycles from Rowen. One word: Wow. I was assisted throughout the entire selection phase of my first ever, brand new, adult bicycle by Kade. Very knowledgeable and helpful employee. Atmosphere in the store was pleasant and at times humorous. My bicycle was assembled in less than 1.5 hours (keeping in mind my cables are internally routed). I have no doubt that the current renovations will only add to the value of this megastore. Will definitely be returning for any further assistance, products, or maintenance/repairs.

I just want to compliment the service I received from Mukesh Ragbir who works in the service department and Terone Singh who works on the sales floor. both staff members went out there way to assist and also great such great service waisted no time in saving me both time and money. All that's left to say is that I will always shop at this store and would recommend that if anyone needs assistance with their bikes or accessories, that's the place to go. go visit these guys youd be impressed

A fantastic sales person in Rowen Naidoo. Great customer support from beginning to end. This is my THIRD bike I bought through Rowen and he is the best. He is really informed and go the extra mile. My husband and I went in yesterday to look for a suitable bicycle for him. Since we were both novices we needed a bit more guidance. We were fortunate to have Rowan Naidoo help us. We found him extremely helpful and honest and though my husband didn't find what he wanted yesterday, we left Rowan our number to contact us when a suitable bicycle comes into stock for my husband. Absolutely useless. First I had to actually ask someone for help who was sitting behind the counter using a cell phone. I was looking for a seat post Clamp and he tried to sell me bottle cage clamps saying "it will do the same thing" .... This is my 3rd bad experience at this store and I will NEVER set foot or recommend them ever again even if it was the last cycle store on earth !

Rowen was amazing on 04 September 2022 (Hence the 5 star rating). Never thought the experience of buying a bike during my birth month could be so memorable Towards closing time however, I was rushed to leave the shop. Lights were also switched off at some point while Rowen was still adjusting my bike. To put it lightly, this made feel really uncomfortable. Not cool at all

Absolutely useless company to deal with. Would not recommend to anyone. It took a week to be able to purchase two bikes with very poor customer support. Took three weeks to get the delivery. Had to query twice about order. The one bike I received was incorrect. I have lodged a complaint and have to keep calling to get feedback.

Worst staff ever Went in to buy a bike for my wife, the staff were busy chatting to each other or on their phone, I approached one of the staff and asked for advice on what bike Would be good and he told me to wait a sec, I waited for over 5 minutes and decided to leave Never again will I walk into that place Lazy and unhelpful

No service would be better than what I got. As I walked in employee sitting on the couch on his mobile. Wandered in the shop, nobody helped till we asked. The shop had no other customers. The aforesaid guy was called to help and he knew nothing about the cycle shorts I wished to purchase. Walked out empty handed of course.

Honestly, these guys are just brilliant. Their service has beaten anything I have received from a smaller "local bike shop". They have always given me a good deal and their service department is excellent and has attention to detail and great customer service. I am very glad I have now started relying on Cyclelab!

Just a simple request for Shimano hoods ST 6870 with a photo sent though. The request was made four months ago and I was told they would be sent down from stock in JHB. Today, 4 months later, after numerous requests and more photos confirming what I need, still no hoods. Come on guys surely you can do better.

Probably one of the best stocked bicycle shops in KZN. From budget to top-end bikes. Just a pity that they are not Specialized agents. I must say the staff are friendly and helpfull. I will definately visit them again next month during the Tour Durban cycle race.

Fair prices, just wished the staff knew about how the Santa cruz warranty works. Spent 5min aruguing with a staff member as he was telling me that the santa cruz rims don't have a lifetime warranty, which they do. Anyways big shop and I say prices are fair.

Went in for a brake caliper adapter. Service guys tried to sell me a used adapter without mounting hardware for R200 cash... A brand new mount with hardware at another local cycle store was less. And they cross checked part numbers to ensure it would work

Your staff mishandled my bike. It came back with 2 chips on the on the fork and 3 chips on my seat post. And some silly tape on the seat post. Both cranks were scratched I am so disgusted by your courier services

Despite opting out more than 5 times already I still get spam sms messages from them. I have tried calling them but its impossible to get hold of someone that can remove my number from their spam smses.

Not happy. Dit not have wat I need. They furthermore tryed to rip me off. R 700 for the top bolt of my shock that rattled out while transporting the bike. Ballito Cycle helped me out for free.

Hit and miss, if you get a sales person it's a great store with good service... but thats if you actually get one. I've been the only person in there at times and still not been helped.

Went in to buy a bike and walked out with nothing. Staff unprofessional and ignore you when you enter the store. Staff prefer to be on the phone than deal with a live client.

I have been to Cornubia store a few times. (2.5 hr drive from home) and am yet to be assisted by a sales person. We would rather drive to another store or purchase online.

The most horrific service, especially from the so-called manager! The gentleman at head office who deals with complaints was very helpful but their staff needs training.
