First time purchasing from Dick’s. My son read reviews after the purchase and said that delayed shipments and worn shoes were the number 1 complaints. I placed my order a bit ahead of the day needed, to help offset any delivery delays. So, no problems with delivery. However, the $130 plus tax shoes I purchased came worn with scuffs, dirt, and even rocks tucked into the bottom soles. The inside, I hate to admit I went here, didn’t smell bad but smelled worn. Even the box was in a refurbished state. You read reviews as a guide to what may happen to you. You think, “I can deal with that”, as you read some bad ratings. Or, you might even think, “that’s like 1 in a 1000 chance”, and take a gamble on the buy. I didn’t think that the exact review my son read would come true for us. We were a first time customer after all. But, I know realize we all start as first time customers and suffer just the same when an order falls short of the money subtracted from our accounts. How this turned out: Called up customer service, they answered rather quickly. Was given my refund and return options. (Disclosure-My son really wanted the shoes, he had been eagerly awaiting them.) I asked for an option to purchase the shoes as used, getting a refunded difference, and was passed to a supervisor. My request was granted. My son won in this situation. I really wanted brand new shoes!
We buy pretty much all the sport clothing and gears at Dick's Sporting Goods at the Domain since day one they open. Most of the times the staffs are horrible (their excuses that they a new hired, but rather their personality and knowledge are very poor) unless you complaint to the Store Manager named Elena and she is a SUPER nice lady. We ordered a jacket that the store doesn't have in stock and was told in certain day we will receiving the jacket and we agreed to purchased. It turned out that they used UPS then transfer to USPS (which is the local mail) and 2 days later and we still not received by our local mail person. We're need this jacket so we can bring to our out of town college daughter before our Thanksgiving holiday trip. I called the online customer service and they were so RUDE & hang up the phone when i requested 3 times to speak to the supervisor / manager. I, finally got transfer to the supervisor and she also gave me a run around answer. SO sucks! I am hoping some one at Dick's Sporting Good corporate aware of their online customer service are super horrible and lack of knowledge in their shipping infrastructure as well bad personality. My family and I are vowed NOT ever want to buy anything online from Dick's Sporting Good. Look like we support more on REI and Amazon online. We don't to waste times and money on Dick's Sporting Good.
ZERO stars if I could. If you go on their website they are promoting Christmas gifts to arrive on Christmas if ordered by Dec. 19th. Well I ordered Dec 14th, which was 5 days ago. There is still no tracking for my item and now they are saying they don't know if it will come on time even though it is in stock. I've called the customer service 3 times, every time they tell me to call back in 2 days to see if any tracking status is updated. IT'S BEEN 5 DAYS AND MY ORDER IS STILL NOT SHIPPED?? The last time I asked to speak to a supervisor and they told me they are busy?? They said they can submit a request but didn't even bother to ask for my phone number? Customer service doesn't give a crap that your order won't be here in time for Christmas even though you ordered a 1.5 weeks in advance and their site guarantees delivery. Which is FALSE advertisement. Every time I call there is at least an 18 minute wait and the reps are clueless about the order and don't even bother to help or care or even forward to a manager or help to expedite shipping! Extremely frustrated with this company! I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!
This has nothing to do with the actual store, but online ordering. I ordered TWO NFL baseball caps for my fiancee on Dec. 7th, both were due to arrive on the 11th. WRONG. Got an email from them saying, "Running a little late, expected delivery on Dec. 18th." I thought I beat the holiday rush but APPARENTLY NOT. I did get one cap on the 18th, but the other one is still MIA (still in transit on the 22nd), and they have already taken the money from my account. Go figure, of course they would. I will give it until Wednesday to arrive. If not, I will be asking for a refund. GRRR!!! I wish most online stores would deduct money AFTER your items ship, and NOT beforehand. Makes sense to me. Oh well, lesson learned.
Incredibly disappointing customer service. I went in got return several unused items. After waiting in line, the first cashier says she cannot help me after checking out three customers prior and to move over to the cashier in the next lane. Once I wait for two customers to check out in that lane, the second cashier says he is too busy and that I need to go to the cashiers at the rear of the store. Upon arriving at the back of the store, there is not a single cashier in sight. I wait several minutes before a manage arrives to help with my return. This manager had a terrible attitude and at first would not return my tagged, unused items that were with a receipt. I will not shop at this location again.
Visited this Dick’s today. What a nice store! I thought since it is located within the Domain that it would be a nightmare getting in and out but not the case. There is parking right in front of the store and behind it. This is a pretty big store. Two levels actually. An escalator brings you to the top floor. Sure they have an elevator but I didn’t see it. They had a large variety of everything and the store was organized and clean. I had to make a return and had no issues whatsoever. The staff were friendly and helpful during the transaction. So, overall this is a really good Dick’s Sporting Goods and I think I have been to them all within Austin.
The manager just kept following me around the store and acting prejudice towards Me until my girlfriend finished her shopping. Was just waiting on her to leave dressing room and no other employees offered helped. I had to go find it to get a size on shorts but they didn't have sizes for me. And all the clothes in the men's department were mixed up with little kids clothess and women's clothes. so I couldn't tell what was actually the men's department. I don't think his employees even do much but he was nice just felt like I was being ushered out when I was just waiting for my gf to finish her shopping.
DONT GO HERE TO GET YOUR RACKETS RESTRUNG. Went there to get my tennis rackets restrung. The man that took my rackets told me it will take 5-7 days which was shocking to me in the first place. He said they’ll call me when it’s ready. 7 days passed and no call. I call them to check up on it and they say it’s still not ready. Wow. The store really was not busy when I went in the first time. I express my disbelief to the representative on the phone for my racket not being ready and he hangs up the phone on me. Just putting it out there, don’t go there for your tennis needs.
This place is truly awful. They have some decent prices on things and sometimes have good clearance but the employees are terrible. They stand around with each other talking and never make and effort to help anyone. When you finally do get someone’s attention they are rude and unwelcoming, and they can’t give any information about products except for “yeah this one is good”. Just a bunch of college kids who don’t want to be there and think it’s a social hour instead of like, you know, a JOB. Overall, this store is garbage I will never shop here again.
I was at the Domain for an unrelated reason, decided to go into the store since I have an e-gift card. Went upstairs to look at bikes. Sales associate R was incredibly helpful! Had me riding a bike around the 2nd floor, adjusting gears and brakes between loops. I purchased the bike, arranged to pick up next week. R said when I pick up the bike, will make adjustments so it fits specifically to me. Even made sure I know what days will be working, so I can work with them specifically.
It would have been 5 stars but the guy at the register made me feel like a criminal for walking out without buying anything. I even looked him in the eye and said have a good night. He said nothing. Dude.... i spent a lot of money here this holiday season so don't judge me for not purchasing today. I didn't steal anything. What a joke. I understand people steal but fake it until you make it bro. Be friendly....its your job. Tall guy with glasses I'm talking about you.
After coming to a Dick's for the very first time, I wonder why I never bothered to come here before. This place has a HUGE variety of athletic apparel, equipment, etc. I was overwhelmed with the amount of stuff that they had. Ultimately I settled on a North Face t-shirt, Columbia t-shirt, and North Face shorts. It all come to $83. Amazing prices and great customer service. I ended up signing up for their rewards program because I will continue to come back!
I was going in to find shoes for daily wear. The type of shoe needed are actually pretty specific because I have plantar fasciitis and a sesamoiditis. I needed a shoe that would fit a few different insoles. Oni helped me out so much. He listened to what exactly I needed and was so patient. Oni, my husband and I really appreciate it. They have a vast selection and great customer service. Prices are just like any other sporting goods store.
With two kids ready to melt down, my wife and I braved the store. We found an employee named Evan who went above and beyond to find us a great pair of shoes, shinguards, a ball, socks and shorts for my son. He was extremely knowledgeable about the products and was patient while also sensing and responding to the urgency of our situation. We asked a lot of him and he was as kind and helpful as could be. This is the nicest group of employees I have ever met. Customer service is top notch. I came here several times in the past week and everyone has been consistently friendly and helpful while my friend purchased 3 pairs of shoes. I'm in here right now while my friend exchanged his online shoe order for another size. Manager came out to assist. This place is the best!
Bought three items, then realized I was overcharged on two for 25% and 40%. They corrected it quickly and just said "oh, yeah, sometimes the computer is wrong." like it happens all the time. They didn't even verofy the price on the shelf to fix the entry, just asked me. Feels very scammy since it would be easy to miss the overcharges.
I went in here today to buy a basketball and found that none of them were marked with prices- not the loose ones in bins, nor the ones in boxes on the shelves. I walked out immediately because if you can't clearly mark your products with prices you do not deserve customers shopping in your store. Fail. …
Lot's of sports selection! From running to biking, golfing accessories to swimming gears, kayaking boats to paddling boats, soccer to basketball and baseball needs, anything of sports products can be found here at Dicks. Maybe not 100% exactly of what you need, but at least enough of selections to pick from.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! I wanted white crocs so I went here and I made sure to check they were available in store before I went, and they were. So I went to go get them, AND THEY WERE OUT OF STOCK …
Great selection here. Only complaint would be how hard fitting rooms are to find and how many they actually have. I was able to find 1 handicap fitting room next to the golf section. Other than that, it was a good store to shop. Customer service was great and it was easy to find someone if I needed help
This review is specifically for the bike shop as that (and the cashier downstairs) is all I interacted with. Wow. Amazing service. Newbie bike riders and the technician got us fitted and all set up on a new bike. No attempt to up sell us on more bike than we needed. Made all the adjustments needed.
They had next to nothing in stock for hiking shoes and of the eight employees hanging around upstairs only one person asked if I needed help as she was already walking away from me and engaging another employee. I was ready to drop a few hundred on some gear but decided to go somewhere else.
Staff goes above and beyond requests, help you find what you need, even if it's not on the shelves. Ask about coupons you might've lost ! Rewards program is WELL worth it , and doesn't take forever to sign up for! Ha! Better than any Academy I've ever been in for those wondering.
Logan at this location was amazing. Went out of their way to help me find a radio and made it right with me when they were out of stock so I didn't have to drive 30 minutes to another location. Best customer service I have had in quite some time! Thank you.
Oni and Store Manager Kimberly provided excellent customer service for my husband and I during our trip to buy new rollerblades. Very friendly and helpful. Store is clean and well organized. Pretty awesome funds in clearance too …
I went in looking for a very specific pant for my 9 year old son. Lee, who works in soccer, took the time to search for these pants. It only took less than 10 minutes but for a mom with a picky child, it meant the most.

Good store, clean, and well organized. wide selection of sporting equipment. If you're a big outdoorsmen you'll even find a few goodies here. However this is certainly not for the avid outdoorsmen.
It's Christmas season, and you decide to only have 2 cashiers at each end . ridiculous, and everything is so overpriced .Academy, it is going forward oh and the escalator was out of service

There are no handicap accessible parking spaces here. They have several curbside spots right up front, but nothing for people with disabilities. Shame on this business!
Love this place but didn’t refund me for a $100+ backpack I returned. When I asked about it they were really unhelpful and never got my refund.
