Many tools at vert reasonable prices. I went there for a hole digger, which costs at least $40 at the big box stores (Canadian Tires, Rona, etc.). I got it for $25 that and the quality is on par. I picked up other items while there too because of the prices. Quality of other items in the store are also decent and comparable with the house brands of the big stores. There are some surprises such as SDS bits. The only downside is that the people there (owners?) are not very knowledgeable. Some reviewers also said the owner was rude, which I think refers to the male (a female was there as well). It seems to be the case at first but at the end of our shopping he warmed up. In any case, to me it is not a big deal because I knew what I wanted and got my stuff at very good and fair prices. One reviewer complained about returns, but that's OK for me too. Returns cost money (that's why the big stores charge more for that peace of mind, among other things) and I am willing to trade that for very reasonable prices. All in all, highly recommended if you know what you need. It definitely was worth the drive across town to the store.
I really had great experience, I needed tools the man showed me what he had and saved least 100 dollars. Notice this is a mom and pop shop so certain courtesy is suppose to given here then a chain like home Depot. The negative review some one made about this store was because he kept opening things and was treated harshly. Like I said it's mom and pop shop. Dudes own store. Ask the store owner to open it and show you. I saw another customer ask him about grinder he kindly showed him how it works. Again these tools work great got my self a mixer, electrical pliers, tile trowel, goose neck crow bar, and good heavy metal pole sander for 40. The metal pole sander alone at home depot is 32+ taxes. Amazing store.
I came to this store to purchase a King Canada leaf blower and mulcher. Place was easy to find. Parking was a little limited, just had to drive a little, no biggie. The store is not huge, but it has a lot of stuff. The lady behind the counter was helpful and I got my item easy enough. I'll probably leave a review on the blower after I have used it for a while. The place reminded me of one of those old country stores\hardwares where there is something you need, you just have to look for it. It's a bit messy, stuff all over, but I enjoyed browsing. Place to go to if you are not in any big rush.
Its always fun the cruise through this little store. The tools aren't the most durable, but for the price, if you need something to get a job or two done, it'll do it for you. A 12" mitre saw blade is $60+ at home Depot. Here: $24.99. I took my time, and it cut through oak no problem. However, I had a drill bit overheat, soften, twist and snap because I was pushing it too hard. You get what you pay for. A contractor will say the tools are junk. As a DIY'er on a budget, I have been happy enough to go back several times.
You really have to know what you are looking for coming into this place. Assess the quality for yourself. I saved hundreds of dollars shopping here. I bought sds max chisel s. Onlya ffraction of what others charge. Although most people don't buy this kind of stuff. Not much help from store keeper. He's just there to make the financial transaction. Look around. Great treasures everywhere. Love to dig. But have to know your stuff. Otherwise you have to ask the angry tool Nazi.
Normally I don't write reviews, but I had to counter some of the negative comments with my own experience. I found the store great to deal with. Their tools and accessories are sold at a reasonable price for decent quality. They're by no means Dewalt or Milwaukee quality, but for your average DIYer (hence the name of the store), the quality is good enough. I would also like to put in a good word for the owners who were quite helpful when I was in the store.
A great place to shop. You can find cheap and yet quality foreign made goods for hobbiests and professinals alike. Many things are much cheaper here and the kinds of products you can find are in abundance. The only problem is the tight knit layout creating one person lanes and having to squeeze through or bend sharply. Other than that if one needs something most likely it will be here. Again quality and cost effective products without any sacrifice
The store is outright dangerous, they should have a sign "enter at your own risk". Item fell off the peg board, the sales-person look at me as if I coursed it to fall, I was going to give him the FINGER. As soon as you walk in, you can smell cigarette stench, goods (some heavy) are pile up, toddling, balancing on cardboard box. Named brands (Milwaukee etc.) are much more expensive. the imported items are cheap, I use it as disposable tools.
Spoke to the staff, and got lots of friendly help and advice. Lots of different stuff. I figure most of their stuff is quality 3.5 out of 5. If you want top quality equipment this is not the place, if you want fair quality at a great price, this place is great. Sure it is a little "Messy" but really it is just full of lots of deals. But you should know what you are buying and what is a deal and what is not.
I found that store here, on google, read all the reviews. Some was positive, mostly about the price. Went in. Oh, god, what a mess! Fine, I could deal with it. Looked at some tools. Dollar store is cheaper of same quality. Asked a question and received a very rude answer from the owner who was too busy smoking at the cash register. Reviews didn't lie. Stay away, people!
Despite the name, not for the DIY crowd at all. Arrived at a locked door during posted hours. Asked an admittedly uninformed question (trying to do FX not carpainting or whatever) and was summarily kicked out. The single most unpleasant retail experience I have ever had, and I went an hour and a half out of my way for it.
The owner of the store was so rude that we just had to walk out the store. You get scared to ask the guy a question to find the tools we were looking for. The store is not very organized and most of the tools they have are low quality tools, you are better of buying 'Mastercraft' tools from the Canadian Tire. Never again!
Not worth the time ordered a tool got told one day delivery sweet right.. not... why advertise a tool that you dont carry why tell me on the day of my delivery itll take a few extra days if infect you cant even get the tool... just useless I suggest never using this service pay extra and go with someone competent
This store is straight garbage. The guy is very rude. And the tool are sub par. I was opening a box. To inspected a gear puller i wanted to buy.. The rude asian man came running over and said thats to expensive for you.. For your job. The man has no idea what i do. I left right away. Dont waste your time
Tools inside the store were not organized, you need to search around to find what you need. exchange only with no refund policy. Tools looked cheap but usuable, you get what you pay for. Everything is cheap in the store, you pay 1/3 to 1/2 of the price compare to home depot's products.
DIY Tools is a great place to buy certain woodworking, metalworking and mechanical tools and accessories (fasteners, nails, casters, etc.). I find the owners to be very nice, helpful and great to visit, when I need tools. I highly recommend shopping online, or at the store!
Store have good items at good price, but be aware of the asian guy because is not friendly. He don't like to answer customer questions very much. I hope he can work on the problem because will be nice to buy and be treated with decency.
I like this store- the tools are good enough for most of my needs, and the price is hard to beat. I recently bought some SDS plus core bits which are a fantastic value, and quite durable!
Cheapest place in Ontario to buy self evacuating oil drain. Have had it for over a year used weekly with no issues. Yes, chinesium quality. Fine for backyard mechanic shop.
You would think a mom and pop shop like this would have the sensibility to treat their customers with a little bit more kindness and respect. Never buying from here again.
Great place for tools, lots of selection and great prices. They ordered a tool I needed and it arrived just as they said it would, owner was very helpful with my needs.
Well drive down to this store from kitchener, talked to manager. Was much better in person. Was very helpful, even got a bit of a deal.will be going back soon
If you want to lose your money go to this store.very low quality and terrible customer service . They aren’t responsible for their products .

Helpful and honest staff , He not only save our 100s of dollars but also waited late for us. Definitely gonna be my fav Store .
Horrible service. Beware of clerk in front. Terrible attitude problem. Was unhelpful and gave unnecessary attitude.
The shop is very cluttered and feels disorganized. Prices were reasonable however staff were not the friendliest.
They had everything needed for my "do it at home project ",,very helpful and knowledgeable. Convenient location.
I find this place very inexpensive for all of the tools I needed for the shop. The owner is knowledgable.
Great place, product price is affordable compare with these big names. Always can find the tools I need
I would never use these people again, not sure how they are still in business. Worst experience ever
Useful for chapter tool. They need to expand store to get closer to "harbour freight tools" in usa
Kinda like Princess Auto and a dollar store merged . The salesman at the door is a very nice guy.
