I purchased an item online for store pickup. 2 weeks went by with nothing from the store (should have been available within 3-7 business days). I spoke to someone online and they said the package was “lost” so I should go into the store. I legally parked, went in, walked around and didn’t buy anything, then went outside and my car was towed. I went inside to speak with the manager (Leanne) who said I needed to speak with the tow company. I went to get my car and the tow company said it was the stores responsibility and I needed to pay $220. I called DSW back and spoke to the manager (Leanne) again who said she couldn’t do anything because the lot was owned by the property manager. I asked for the property managers contact information and she rudely refused to give me this information saying she “just couldn’t”. This is clearly a scam and everyone involved including DSW, tow company and the property manager are getting a payback for this scam. Do NOT shop here unless you want your car towed for no reason and to be rudely spoken to by management and the tow company.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have always frequented this establishment and have never had issues. My car was towed today for no reason. I went into DSW and made a purchase. I ran across the street to pick up an item and my car was towed. As you can see the sign talks about cars being illegally parked. Since I purchased an item and literally ran across the street I did not think that I would be towed. Clearly someone is getting kickbacks or have cut a deal with Rendered Services North Towing Company. I had to pay $28.86 for my Lyft to take me to the Tow Company and $218.50 to get my car from the Tow Company. Clearly someone is getting paid for this. I walked out of the store around 12:10pm and my car was towed less than 20 minutes later. I will never shop at this DSW again and they lost my business and respect.

I like shopping at DSW but had a very bad experience at this one. I’m Black and security (also black, puzzling right?) followed me around the store. To test this I asked my White partner to watch from afar while I zigzagged around the store. I was continuously followed over the next few minutes until I left. It was kind of funny in a bittersweet way watching security follow the random patterns I was making, haven’t been back since.

Bad hours, and to top it off, their security guard is a colossal a-hole. He closed the doors 10 minutes early and just kept saying 'we close at 5, we close at 5.' I explained that my wife was looking at some shoes and wanted my opinion so she could buy one, but he just kept repeating 'we close at 5.' I told him it wasn't 5 and he would say, 'yes we close at 5.' This location has horrible hours, just close it already.

The assistance store manger Tyler was helping me with a gift card purchase and rushed me out of the store in a very rude manner. I tried to use the gift card online and they did not work so I asked them for a refund. The girl with a big tattoo and short hair yelled at me to ask for their customer service for a resolution. Never shop with this location and this brand again, who hired people that hate to help others!

They got my order wrong and sent me the wrong size shoe. Then they sent me the wrong size AGAIN. I was lied to by three customer service reps about how this problem would be fixed. On top of all of this the shoes are sold out so I can’t even get what I originally wanted. This was the first and last time I’ll shop with them. If you have time to waste and like being lied to then by all means shop here

Even though everything is shiny and well organized, how the men section is treated drives me crazy! You can find hundreds of different models for women and kids, while men shoes consist of 2-3 shelves (for ALL the sizes) in clearance and a couple of lines for full-price models. Every time I enter in this shop, I get out very frustrated and I finish buying shoes online.

I visited this store but will never come back because my car was gone when I came out and had been towed. This will drive customers away if you continue to engage with tow companies that use these unscrupulous and predatory practices. I personally would rather shop somewhere else/ online where I can spend my money on shoes and not paying ransoms to get my own car back.

Great selection, clean store, very nice employees, free parking, very short wait for checkout. My only disappointment is that I didn't see very good discounts, which is a big reason I visit DSW. Many shoes were $5 or $10 off manufacturer price....which was, in several instances, more than the cost of the same shoe at Nordstrom's during a sale.

Not the best customer service, I understand it's the holidays and employees are under stress but when people ask for a any type of discount( a veterans discount), it's not polite to blurt out NO!!!! Like we just ruined your day. We finished my purchase and even couldn't wait to leave. As a curiosity I've decided not disclose the employee name.

Loved how big and opened this store was, me and my friends we're visiting from out of town and stopped in to see what they had to offer, my friend bought a pair of black heels and they were having a sale, which was a plus! The ladies at the cashier's was super friendly and told us to enjoy our trip while we visiting Chicago.

I have had my share of challenges with this company, but I can say that this manager Cory has given me excellent service regardless of anyone else’s thoughts. It makes a difference when someone treats you with understanding and respect especially when you need it most. I will return to this place and tell others .

Stairs are currently out of commission so you need to wait on the elevator to go to the 2nd floor but no worries as the elevator is pretty swift. I had some returns and the person helping me was quite nice and offered the specific section in case I wanted to go try another pair. Parking was easy as well.

This store really just needs to close. The hours are so minimal that the normal working person in society actually cannot visit on a weekday, and even on weekends, they randomly decide to close whenever they want. If you can’t staff a location during shoppable hours, just close.

Decent selection, spacious, and bright and a great feel. Was a bit bummed, since most formal shoes were not available in my size (mens 13), which seemed unusual. Perhaps I was just unlucky, but I'd expect more from such a massive place with endless supplies of women's shoes.

Clean, simply laid out, and the checkout counter is health friendly (staff behind clear partition & wearing a mask). A floor staffer was attentive to us shopping, but didn't approach; pretty nice given that some people don't want to be approached immediately upon entering.

Store manager was very rude and condescending. When asked why she was acting in that manner she said, "I am thinking about the person that I have on hold." She also refused to give me the corporate office number so I could register a complaint. She told me to Google it.

Was greated as I entered and left. Made me feel comfortable, and it was nice of him. Everything was organized, and I found what I needed. At checkout, the young lady was nice. It's definitely a place I would like to come back instead of Oak Brook.

I will give them a 5, because I love this place. But the clearance for my size has gone down by like 80% since they added kids shoes. I will come in and look and walk out with four five pair of shoes. Now most times I don't walk out with any

The staff is helpful and friendly. I prefer buying my shoes online and if anything needs to be exchanged I go in. Always a win. Oh and you can also donate your gently worn shoes here (and score extra points if you're a VIP points member)

There was a very unprofessional cashier my Mom is elderly & on a walker, the cashier demonstrated poor customer service because she wasn't paying attention, and just took the next few customers in line, and we had a longer wait time.

This place never let me down, until I needed to find boots for this winter. There's so much faux fur along the cuff or high heels... It's all useless. But, this is the first time they've let me down... so they only lose one star.

The employees went above and beyond to find all the size 12s they had in back and on the floor. They were empathetic but never made me feel embarrassed of these big ol'hooves. I left feeling sassy with comfortable wedges.

Left without buying anything because the staff was letting people walk around without masks. This one guy checked out with a purchase, and no one said anything. Clearly this staff cares nothing about it's community.

Service was excellent but one of the pair of shoes I picked up from ordering on line had a flaw in the sole. Not the fault of that particular store, should have tried them on like they suggested, but of the chain.

Great shoe collection. I personally don’t like to be bothered in stores like this so I liked not being approached by an associate. Parking in the back which makes things easier in such a busy area.

Large store, skewed completely with women's shoe selection. Store has very limited selection for men. It is summer and they have about 5 pair of flip flops, pretty disappointing in that respect.

Shoes, boots, bags, and accessories!!! Whatever type of shoes you're looking for they have them, and maybe some shoes that you weren't looking for but you saw them and you just have to have them.

Horrible parking situation. Met my wife in the front of the store and a towing company towed my car saying because I didn’t go through their back entrance that I “went off property.” Awful.

Quick in an out..just wasn't filling the security guard following and steady looking at me not knowing I got a pocket full of money probably more money than what her check was for 2 weeks.

It’s a shoe shop. They sell shoes and they sell a lot of them. I am not sure their pricing is as reduced as their signage might suggest but they have a wide selection.

Best DSW in all of Chicago! Bought boots, shoes and some weatherproofing spray in one trip! The staff is always very helpful in finding the right stuff.

This location is always clean and attentive to costumers. Managers and employees always willing to go the extra mile to help you out with anything.

Not the best stop for size 9.5-10, but they recommend purchasing on line. Well duh, sometimes you need shoes to try before you buy and on the fly.

It was a nice and spacious store with many varieties of shoes. They even have a space for kids to measure their height and shoe size.

This store is pretty Basic. Nothing special at all. I felt it was.super quiet in there. Its in a weird spot in the city.

They made check out even easier....there some employees on the floor that can check you out on the spot. Pretty cool
