Rude services and racism. The servant let let other she knows directly cut into the line and skip me. The detailed situation is: I wait here for 10 minutes because only one staff take care for all the services of delivering food and payment. However, she notice me at first and still decide to ignore me whenI was the first client. A WHITE Male professor line behind me. The servant lay directly go to him and serve him. I wait another 10 minutes. I did not say anything at that moment because I think there is special reason. However, she reply that because the client order only the coffee and dessert. IT IS NOT A REASON! Then, she finally tells me that this special gest knows her boss so she skips me. It is so UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE attitude. THERE IS ONLY TWO CLIENT at that time: me and other guy. I did not know that the restaurant' obligation gives the privilege for someone staff they knows. I have never experience in other restaurant. I guess that is the reason why people not come here

I've been coming here for 30+ years. Compared to some places the prices are a bit steep, but the food is good, really good. One of the best places to eat in general on Campus. I know that's not saying much these days, but it is still a nice place serving good food If you are souping, the best deal is the big bowl, the half bowls are more than half the cost , but a big bowl is pretty much a meal on it's own.
Good, simple food with reasonable prices. The staff are exceedingly kind and I've noticed they work very hard. I hope they are paid accordingly. Thanks for being there :)

I like that 4 days out of 5, saying "the special" gets me something different without having to think about how to achieve variety.
20 bucks for meatballs (didn't even taste that good), 2 slices of bread, drink, and a croisannt?! That's a little too much.
Love this place! Great hidden gem at the u of m. Cheap breakfast and a huge menu selection! Great Fair Trade coffee too!
