The Pink Line is the most underrated L line, and Damen is my favorite station along this line. Modern and functional, it has both an escalator and an elevator. From the station platform, you have magnificent views of the city skyline. At the street level, you have L Cafecito Jumping Bean, an excellent local coffee shop that also serves food. Damen is a great station and has managed to stand out from its twin stations to the west. It gets all the small details right.
The Damen CTA station is in better condition than most others. The Ventra machines work without issue and the employees I've interacted with here are friendly. There's even a coffee shop which helps on those cold Chicago mornings.
