I am the primary, live-in home care provider for two of Dr. Reyes elderly clients. Recently, one was admitted to the hospital on Friday through the ER with bilateral pneumonia. A week prior he had just undergone bilateral hernia surgery. Mr.’s spouse has Alzheimer’s. Although the client referred to here still functions well within his surroundings, which is very regimented, his day to day memory loss is evident to us and to his family members. I’m not sure it is evident to Dr. Reyes. Our client can recall back it seems forever. Yes, he still edits books as a hobby too! Something he has done for many decades. But day to day functions are slowing and he struggles more keeping things straight. This noted since September!! Dr. Reyes knows who I am. I go with them, because it is necessary as he is 89 and she is 86. I may have failed to mention that our male client is almost deaf even with his hearing aides. We are getting new ones tomorrow!! HERE is the crux of my complaint against Dr.Reyes. Before my client was released I had questions and concerns. I had been unable to catch Dr. Reyes there, so I placed a phone call to his office on Tuesday morning because our client was calling me and saying that he was discharged. I left a message quite early. After calling the nurses station I found that no orders of such were left. It was important because today TIMING MATTERED! I was going to leave Mrs. long enough to go pick him up!! She is accustomed to staying out if we have to go out for a bit! Our client called me over and over to ask me to come get him. He could not understand what was going on as the hospital visit had him very, very confused. I sat with him daily, he was a mess. Dr. R may not see these things because he isn’t with him daily. I HAD QUESTIONS!! I never received a call…. THIS is also most concerning. I have been hired to care for two elderly people. I am the transmitter to their two children, I am trusted to care for these two lovely people. BUT, I also EXPECT to be heard on their behalf of how well I know them!! I have decades of experience and I am a fierce advocate over the care of my clients. Dr. Reyes must understand that I will be with our two clients until they pass. If I call his office, I EXPECT a return call fro his NP or him. I will not be ignored. I am dedicated to the highest form of care for my clients. I cannot accomplish this without FIRST HAND information. If I call you?!! CALL ME BACK! Period

Speaking from my experience: I felt that he didn't take my symptoms, which were very concerning to me (lack of sleep due to strange adrenaline / cortisol rushes) seriously, withheld referral to endocrinologist for 2 months because he wanted to see if my issue would resolve on its own or with increase of other medication, then made a referral which was rejected because it was based in a diagnosis not treated by that endocrinologist. I don't even know where he got the diagnosis from (chronic fatigue), since I never said I had fatigue, I have insomnia. On the whole, I feel that he did not listen, and my symptoms have not been addressed, now I will have to spend another 2 - 3 months just to get with an endocrinologist who can investigate what's going on, because none of them see patients without PCP referral.

Dr Reyes is an awesome doctor. He has been my PCP for about 6 months now and been through a lot of medical problems. Dr Reyes has been very attentive, patient, easy to talk to and he got me healthy again! The first day I met him I came in with an issue that was pretty scary and he spent the entire day working on my case and was able to identify a life threatening problem and for me on the right medicine to fix it. If you need a PCP I highly recommend Dr Reyes. Also, he is very good at scheduling appointments quickly, the wait times are minimal when you show up for them, and his nurses pretty great too! I can't say enough about how he and his staff have helped me through since very rough times.

Dr Reyes is very informative, and explains issues in a way that is easy to understand. He’s attentive and caring and has a very good calming demeanor. I also appreciate his wholistic approach to better health which includes eating more greens, drinking plenty of water, getting sufficient rest, and some daily exercises. That collaboration is important to me, and it illustrates that he’s actively invested in my health. I’m very glad he’s my doctor, and I’d recommend him to anyone who really wants to live and feel better.

Dr Reyes has good bedside manner, but that's about it. I may have had too many medical issues for him to deal with. Was discharged from the practice with no notice (although they claim they mailed me notice) after 3 years as his patient. Missed my last 2 appointments due to home dialysis and/or sickness. But I guess those are perfect reasons to drop someone ‍♀️ Edit: just found out it was for "noncompliance of care" but got no specifics? Mk...

Dr. Reyes has been my family physician for a few years now and I have been very satisfied with the care I have received! He provides always provides very thorough examination, is always willing to listen / take the time necessary to understand your concern, and makes you feel he genuinely cares about you as a patient!!! Dr. Reyes is the physician for our entire family and we are very happy with him as our primary doctor and medical caretaker!!!

Dr.Reyes has been my doctor for a number of years. I have always been treated with respect by him and all the rest of the staff. The nursing staff is very sweet and courteous to me and Dr. Reyes takes time to listen to me about my concerns and never rushes me. Even though I have to drive 55miles to the office I wouldn't even consider changing to another doctor. I trust him with my life and that is what a person needs from their doctor.

After my beloved GP retired, I went looking for a new primary care provider, and before I met Dr. Reyes, I was beginning to lose hope at finding someone thoughtful, compassionate, and thorough. Dr. Reyes is all of those things: kind and smart, unbiased, and in possession of a sense of humor, which is impressive considering the lunacy in our healthcare system that he must navigate on a daily basis. I feel lucky to have found him.

Dr.Reyes is an awesome dr. My husband and I started going to him a few years ago and I must say he is one dr that you would be happy that you are going too Dr.D is what I call him lol that is because I never get his last name right so I just call him dr. I have been to many doctors throughout my life but I have never ever met one like Reyes. He is very close minded and has no bedside manner. He refuses to listen to what you have to say and therefore, there is no outcome for your problem. He preaches instead of listening. I would and could not recommend him to any one. Do yourself a huge justice and see another doctor.

Dr Reyes has been my doctor for several years. Beyond being an excellent physician, he is responsive, kind and a trusted thinking partner. As I grow older, I rely on his judgement, and references to medical professionals in other disciplines within the Centennial medical community and beyond. Dr. David Reyes is my husband and my physician. I feel like I can talk to him about any issue I am having, which is very rare these days. Only wants healthy patients. If you have out of the ordinary problems you are out of luck. He does not like sad and unhealthy patients. Will not suggest alternative treatments like seeing a specialist.
