This is a dog beach. It gets confused with nearby Ben T. Davis Beach which is a beach not allowing dogs. The beach area is fenced in but there are a few areas where owners with small escape artist dogs will want to keep a close eye on their pooch because it is hard to retrieve your dog if they get under the fence. The beach was immaculate and very comfortable to walk on. There was no charge for parking or entry. There are no amenities available aside from a few places to sit. A small planes airport is behind you and there is a barge parked far out in the water, but the plantlife, skiy, white sands, and joy of playful pups made this a beautiful site for relaxation. I have not seen my 11yo chillax 35 pound Besinji mix so animated and happy since she was two. However, It made no sense to me that they had a waterway pen leaving the beach followed by another pen full of sand so you never get a chance to even rinse your feet off.

I don't recommend swimming in this water, but if you do bring water shoes. We sliced our feet up on the oysters and live shell fish. It's a cute, not usally super crowded area, but it appears a handful of dumb and loud people found attend. We also walked up to a flat punctured tire on our way out

This beach is very hot or miss depending on the tide and wind. Under ideal conditions this is a great beach with water as clean as anywhere else on Hillsborough bay. But when conditions don't let the water in seaplane basin cycle, your swimming in the bilge water of all the boats moored there.

Nice little beach. Way too many people with their dogs. This is supposed to be a non dog beach but people bring their dogs all the time. Most are not on leashes either. They need more signs! You can't swim here because of the water quality warnings.

This was a wonderful Island! I had the entire Island to myself! I got to commune with my deceased ancestors and relatives!! It was so peaceful and beautiful! I would recommend anyone to this wonderful magnificent beautiful Island!

This is such a nice casual spot to go to the beach! Not much going on, not too many people. The water isn’t the best but wow it’s great for a local low key beach. Nice place to take the whole family and enjoy a day at the beach.

Nice little beach area near downtown Tampa, calm water, quiet and not many people, dog park there, at a different beach and a place for them to run. Definitely off the grid and great place to enjoy the sun and sand.

I enjoy this spot because it’s peaceful and quiet. I come here to relax when I’m feeling stressed. Sitting by the sea on the rocks is my favorite spot. Despite that, I personally would not swim in this water.

Wish we would have had more time to explore, but we definitely enjoyed every minute we spent there. Had an amazing view that we would LOVE to enjoy again soon!! Definitely will be returning!!

Quick little beach spot to put your toes in the water and a** in the sand! I didn't see any amenities, just sand, water and a nice place for your dogs to run. Also has a 24 hour boat launch..

Nothing but a small beach area with no bathrooms or anything else except boats and water.I do not swim here because there are live aboards and i believe they dump their waste in the water.

This is a quaint beach w nice, clean, fine white sand that provides and great sunset view facing the yacht club. It's across from the dog park, conveniently located and we'll lit.

This is a great little beach in the heart of Tampa. Not by any means the best beach in the Tampa Bay Area, but it’s a magnificent alternative if you don’t want to drive far.

Cute little beach in the bay. My only complaint is that people party there & leave their garbage on the beach. It is in need of grating regularly to pick up the trash.

Quiet, peaceful area away from the rush. Not much amenities but that is not what this area is about. Wind protected environment, nice sand and water access.

The sunsets are beautiful. I don’t like swimming very much, but the beach is perfect for reading and relaxing. It’s a dog park! Luke had a lot of fun.

Little hidden gem. Absolutely great beach area to relax and do some meditation. The sunset and sunrise are breath taking and beautiful.

This place is hardly a beach. It's more of a marina boat dock that won't necessarily kick you out for swimming in it.

The best beach I've ever been to. Quiet, peaceful great beach drove 2.5 hours to get there and had an amazing time.
