June 3 2022:. "Graduation Day" came from another school than DePaul University. Don't hesitate to transfer schools when you are not treated fairly. You will find a way, hopefully. Degree finally came from San Diego State University after I made up deficiency in grade point average. I could not get a passing grade in many of my courses as I struggled for years toward a bachelor's degree in business administration. DePaul didn't discriminate against me and my grades became a lot of "As", except one hostile journalist/teacher who gave me a "C-". Unfortunately, and I saw it coming, I could not deliver the one element in a final paper he was looking for in emphasis. After 9 years in school:. Harper Junior College, Roosevelt University, San Diego Community College, San Diego State University, and DePaul University, I graduated in 1991, when I was 53 years old with nearly five years in a leg cast and maybe six operations to save my right leg, primarily from my bad treatment at San Diego State University. I had previously passed a Real Estate Salesman exam in 1978 in the 90's. So I knew it wasn't me. I gave blood during a higher-education journey.
You'll read a lot about the school not valuing free speech on here but it really doesn't work like that. I can understand why the school regulates what students say and represent on campus the school wants to welcome students of all backgrounds which is a good thing, I read a post someone was wearing a trump hat and they were told to take it off... well the topic of trump creates a lot people to feel uncomfortable so it's reasonable the school doesn't want other students feeling unwelcome. They aren't trying to ban free speech or discriminate they just want to avoid conflict and to keep students safe and feeling welcome. It's simple. With that being said the Loop campus can do with an update to its facilities it would be nice for classrooms to have more outlets to use laptops at in class just saying. Good school though
I graduated from DePaul with a finance degree in 2015. I love my entire experience going to the school. I can only comment on the loop campus because that’s where the business school is. The location is the best part. On the way to school from the train station you walk by so many large financial institutions. If you’re going for finance or accounting this is an awesome school that will prepare you for a career. Some of the professors are ultra liberal and they try to shoved down their ideology on the students. But most of the business program professors are awesome. This is a great school to commute to and also to transfer from community college. They do a great job of getting you equipped for the real world of full-time employment. If I had a chance to do college all over again I would choose DePaul in a heartbeat.
All I can say is Jazzmin and I are very proud and also a very tired, mother and daughter team right now, . We just sent my 3rd son Jesse off to College, YAY!! I love the school, they were very informative and welcoming. Jesse looks happy and ready for the experience of his lifetime so far. I feel he will make all his dreams come true because he has desire dedication and discipline. We know he will go far and we can't wait to see what lies ahead in his future.
All this school cares about is your money. The staff treat you like an inconvenience and act like any problem that you might have is your fault for having it. Everything is WAY overpriced and once the mandatory 'refund period' of about two weeks passes they take 100% of your tuition. Do yourself a favor go get a REAL education from a university that cares at a fraction of the price.
This school is very overpriced. My daughter goes here and the staff do little to no help when it comes to financial situations. I believe it is a race thing at this school, because they always try to stop her from registering for classes.
Studying here, what a good environment, really enjoying, dream come true moment of my life, thank you DePaul
This school deserves zero stars because it is very expensive and a total waste of time.
