One star is too much for current delahey vet clinic!!!! Zero is more appropriate! Poor dog handling skills and the vet didn't even check our dog's teeth through. A female vet just suggested a dental clean procedure of $800. I emailed them to update my home address， and received confirmation email from them，but I found the address on the tax invoice was not updated at all. Requested by the vet to attend the consultation which do not Want at all，but they hold my dog urinal test result if i do not attend，three words I was given "everything is clear". $70 dollsrs! They used to tell you the result over the phone，now，everything is money. They threatened me to give my personal detailss to debt collector if I do not pay！ So disappointed at the male Vet Dr. Silva. I found a lump on my friendly German shepherd's chest, and took her to check during her vaccination. the Vet suggested me to have a surgery straight away without close examination. same as another German shepherd owner, I found he is very scared of dog and does not know how to handle the animals very well. at the beginning he said he will get some sample and check it under microscope. however, when he found he cannot handle the dog even my dog is friendly and with a mask on, he still could not have close exam. very efficiently, he prepared a quote for the survey which is $1,270 and told me there is NO price difference between biopsy and surgery. Just do the surgery. I really want to talk to the owner or the manager, my dog has been with this clinic for five years, the previous Vet are all good, but this one is really irresponsible.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a vet clinic. I have a very friendly German Shepherd. As soon as we walked into the vet's office it was apparent that the vet was scared of my dog. He did not approach him to pat him or say anything to him to ensure he's not a threat. The vet just went ahead to give him medication into his mouth cornering him by the wall and telling me to hold my dog's head. My dog became terrified, unsure of what was happening and started barking at him. The vet became even more scared and ran out of the office! He came back with a nurse and a mouth guard, which would terrify my dog even more! I immediately told them that he is very friendly and scared of what has happened and that he would never bite. The vet just stood there unsure of what to do?! I asked for another vet and the other vet was even worse! He would not even come close to my dog! My dog can sense their fear so he barked at him too as he was feeling very frightened and uncertain as to what was happening. To cut the long story short, luckily there was a great nurse who fed him some cooked chicken to calm him down, while the vet just stood there not saying or doing anything! At one stage he tried to approach my dog from the back to give him the injection??!! Luckily the nurse was lovely and she easily gave him the injection herself. You can not be a vet unless you know how to handle animals, make them feel welcome and safe! Absolutely unbelievable and they deserve negative points instead of this 1 star review.

My experience with Tarsh the Vet at Delahey Vet Clinic was completely unprofessional and rude. After running late due to a personal issue and then being stuck in traffic I rang the Vet to let them know asap. They advised they would check with the Vet on duty whether they can still my dog or I needed to reschedule my appointment. I was ok with whatever decision they made given the circumstances. The receptionist confirmed they could see my Dog and that it would only be a quick vaccination appointment due to the limited time, again I had no issues with this. As soon as I walked in the Vet Tarsh was sitting at the front desk waiting for me and walked into the room without a proper hello and sharply told me I had 3 minutes left on my appointment. I apologised and tried to explain why I was late but she continued to be rude! This is a service I pay for shes not seeing my dog for free so a little respect and professionalism is not much to ask for. When I walked into the room with my dog I noticed long dog fur all over the examination desk and not a clean space for my dog to be sitting on. The room clearly hadn't been sanitised or clean prior to our appointment which is disappointing given the current COVID situation. I walked out of the Vet Clinic today and didn't feel comfortable to proceed with my appointment. It unfortunate because the clinic is close to home but l wont be returning there ever again.

I've been bringing my dog here since both of us relocated from the States about 1.5 years ago. Unfortunately, my pooch has suffered with skin issues since coming to Australia, so she's been on very expensive medications for an extended period of time. I called on Saturday 6th of Jan at 9am to get one of her creams refilled (neocort). The receptionist that answered was very rude and insisted I bring my pooch in for a checkup. When I explained I couldn't do that right now and I needed the cream that day (my pooch spent the morning scratching her paws when I let her out the backyard and they were red raw and bleeding. I washed them in malaseb for 10 minutes and used the last of the existing neocort cream that I had), the receptionist got an attitude and rudely said "oh well then, a vet will have to call you back when they are free". Then she hung up on me. Of course, nobody called me back. I'm disappointed in this place, especially after spending literally more than a thousand dollars on expensive meds (multiple refills of apoquel, neocort, malaseb, plus vet consultation fees). No way I am coming back here after being treated so rudely and ignored, especially after coming here for over 1.5 years. Time to find a new veterinary office and start all over again.

I had been taking my Black Lab here for 5 years. The staff at the front desk were always kind, I wish to make this very clear. However... There was no consistency with Vets, and on one particular occasion, a Vet appeared to have no interest to touch my dog because 'he was too excited' and 'a lot to handle'- nil smile. In the past, it took 2/3 consultations until my dog eventually had a grass splinter removed ,from in between his paws, it wasn't until it was noticeably painful and red that anything was done. I should have changed Vets then, but as a first time dog owner I thought this was normal and knew very little about good canine care. 9 months ago I visited the clinic with my pup who appeared to have a lump on his eye. I was told it was probably nothing and to return should it get bigger. Fast forward 3 months down the track and again, was told that it was nothing to worry about, despite the fact that it had significantly gotten bigger. I was away from home for 3 months, and upon my return it had grown yet again so I chose to get a second opinion, and I'm extremely lucky that I chose to do so. Turns out my pup had a mast cell tumour (cancerous), however thankfully it was low grade and was removed after the first sighting by an alternative vet.

The place has gone down hill BADLY! There used to be an amazingg vet that worked there, a lady with long red hair, since she left the place has slipped from being great to being shocking. We recently took our dog for a vaccination, the vet gave her 2 injections, the first went fine, our dog didn't really even notice it. The second, he stabbed her so fricken hard and deep with the needle that she started to whimper, once we got home, she could barely walk properly; she spent all night walking with a limp, with the pain seeing to come from the injection site (middle upper back). She cried all night and couldn't get her self comfortable, we stayed up all night comforting her. WILL LITERALLY NEVER TAKE AN ANIMAL TO THIS CLINIC AGAIN. They see the pets that come through as a living eftpos machine, they'll give a quick nothing and then 200 bux please, then get the hell out. If you love your pet, avoid this place, its not what it used to be, do your research and go elsewhere.

Towards the end of my dogs life I saw a massive change in the service i received at this vet. A different veterinarian every visit didn’t really help us get a good routine with progress and it didn’t really seem like they read my dogs file to see the history of the appointments unless i brought it up. I was offered new tests to see what was going on but the same tests have been done in the past and more expensive tests were suggested which wasn’t feasible. I can’t come back each week for a new stab in the dark but the vet seems to think I’ve got deep pockets. Towards the end of my dogs life the last vet I saw there said she might have a tumour but we already knew that In September last year (after clearly getting a proper diagnosis ) so it clearly shows they don’t read the file. My dog had to be put down due to the pain she was in and it makes me mad the medication she received didn’t help her at all in her final weeks. Shouldn’t pain medication stop pain?

I have taken my now passed away poodle cross Kyle to this vet practice for dog grooming . Kyle did not bark and I know that he felt comfortable at this practice. The staff are always willing to help and accomodate me with appointment times. The dog groomer was so friendly and did a fantastic job in grooming of Kyle. I have recently made several phone calls to This vet practice to enquire about puppy school for our newly bought Japanese spitz Akira. Victoria is always so polite ,friendly and helpful to me. We will be taking Akira to see one of the nurses for a free consultation to talk about how to train Akira to go to the toilet outside and also with biting.Then we will book him in to the puppy school for the January sessions. I am very impressed with the quality and standard of the customer service provided by Victoria at this vet practice. I would not hesittate to tell my friends to take their pets there. Edit: The original review was for their previous owners. Now they are overpriced AF. ------- Best Vet around. I first came here when my pet rat was dying many years ago and the staff were so compassionate and loving I havent gone anywhere else since. Costs for services are also not too bad. They will even advise which option is cheaper and tell you the prices so you can choose. Occasionally, as a low income earner, I have gotten antibiotics for free because someone else returned the unused medication. (It isnt something you ask for. If its there they will give it to you.) They also offer 2 different wellness packages for pets. The first one is a one off payment to cover all vaccines your pet needs. The other is a regular payment which covers the annual checkup, all sick visit consult fees, microchipping, and comprehensive health checks. And they do payment plans.

I had the worse experience caused me stress for nothing. An absolute disgrace. Took my 3 month old puppy to get vaccinated and checked. She tells me that my puppy has a grade 4 murmur. I was so upset and after asking questions she was not reassuring except telling me we need to do an ultrasound costing between $500-$800. I was shocked to hear that knowing she already had previous health checks She then said you should contact the breeder to find out if she has other litters to return her. I was appalled with her attitude towards the situation. I then got a second opinion from another vet and also spoke to the vet the breeder had used for the first vaccinations and found no heart murmur. I do not trust this vet as they are all about $$$$$$

Absolutely appalled at the professionalism of the staff i took my cat in to be desexed he was bleeding more than normal the options i was given were to either keep him in my shower for the rest of the day and overnight or leave him there. He was already very distressed so i thought it was best to leave him with them, i was reassured tilly would be looked after, feed and i would be called before 8pm with an update and could pick him up the next morning at 9am. My mum then received a phone call saying tilly needed to be picked up as there is no1 to look after him overnight and he is still bleeding. Im a disgusted and so so angry i trusted leaving my pet there its now 10pm & tillys on his way to Kensington to stay at an overnight surgery.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS VET!! One of the worst experiences we've come across. These vets are clearly out the make MONEY! A while ago we took our pup to see them because of a slight limp and they suggested surgery straight away. We then took our pup to another vet and they said the injury was not that serious and surgery was not needed. Rest, extra care and attention will be sufficient for our pup to heal (which did). We recently went back to Delahey Vet for our pups regular vaccination and the vet was CLEARLY inexperienced. Terrible dog handling skills and he didn't even check our pup thoroughly. He just suggested surgery right off the bat! (even though we weren't there about her leg) SHAME!!!!!!!

Highly recommend Delahey Vet Clinic, As a clinic and veterinarian delahey exceeded all of my expectation’s. They are warm, welcoming and supportive towards all animals in all shapes and sizes. The appointment process was very simple. No judgement only helpful and supportive advice for treatment options etc was something I found extremely valuable. I have also never met a vet clinic that does follow up calls to ensure the animal is well. I have also never experienced a vet that would offer to have your beloved pet for observations if any concerns! They are over all just amazing. Again highly recommend! Thanks to the team for your wonderful care. I've found the whole team there truly passionate about the wellbeing of fur babies. Over the past 2 months they've been very thorough and helpful getting my rescue doggie up to ideal health. Preop and postop calls to check Buddy's status were made. They expertly slotted us in for some unexpected pain management on a fully booked afternoon. The communication of the team is outstanding in my own experience; all costs, pro and cons, health related issues were openly discussed, and even advised expected wait times when they were flat out (a small but appreciated courtesy!) Thanks guys!!

Last weekend was my first visit to Delahey Vet Clinic and it was such a delightful experience. It’s very clean, the staff are friendly and the waiting time was super quick. Dr Alicia did the general check up and vaccination for our two cats and somehow she managed to keep both of my cats calm it’s like they knew her. I expressed a little concern about my cat’s eye that tears up quite often and she did an eye exam as a precaution. I really appreciate the extra mile. She gave a really great service, very informative and I didn’t feel rushed at all. Thankful for her assistance and will definitely come back to this clinic.

Prior to Christmas we came home to find our 16 year old dog collapsed, struggled to breathe, laying in her own mess. She was clearly dying and in great distress. I rang and explained what was happening and was told they were fully booked. I repeated that she was dying and was again told they were fully booked, but I could try an emergency vet in ABBOTSFORD! I hung up in disbelief. I then rang another vet ( in Main Rd St Albansa ) and was told to come in straight away. If I could give delahey vet a lower rating than 1 star I would. Absolutely appalling.

I could not recommend these guys enough! Their care and kindness is unmatched. Having a reactive/nervous dog especially the care and patience they have given to me and my Marley is seriously the best kind of care there is. They took time to see her calm side and have been so so patient with her throughout her healing after her surgery and so genuine. Everyone is so lovely and welcoming Alicia and Natasha have been amazing as well as everyone in there. Definitely take your pets to delahey clinic it’s unmatched with animal care and customer service.

Very disappointed with this vet clinic been coming here for years . Staff are inexperienced they couldn’t diagnose my cats eye problems and when he got into a car crash . They will just sell you cream and get you out of there making quick money . Then when the problem didn’t fix they ask $60 just to check him again . Went to another vet who took him straight into surgery . This happened to me twice now , not once, I did give this place a chance . I would highly recommend staying away They are good for microchip or small jobs only

Had such a great experience here for my cat Garfield on Friday 31/03/23. Was able to get a last minute appointment (booked Thursday night) for a pervasive ear infection and injured tail. Amazing service. The vets and vet nurse were so knowledgeable. Cleaned up Garfield’s tail, provided him with some antibiotics and steroids. Also re swabbed his ears and provided me with some ear drops to help. Ended up being much cheaper than anticipated. Staff were lovely we will be back!! Thank you so much for fitting my little man in.

Not my first time at the clinic but first time leaving a review. Previous visits have been excellent with clear explanations of treatment and prevention options. My beautiful Dragon cat went in last Wednesday for a dental treatment, vaccinations, bloods and a nail trim. All of this because I have Best for Pet program ~ the vaccine and dental were needed but the rest is a great way to stay on top of Dragon's wellbeing.

My cat Olivia, needed to be desexed and i was looking for the perfect veterinary clinic to get the job done. So i asked my family and friend and most of them recommended this veterinary clinic. So Olivia was desexed today and am so happy i made the right decision for bringing her to Village Vets. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and also did an amazing job on Olivia. I visited Delahey Veterinary Clinic today for the first time with my cat. Everything was clean, calm and staff were friendly and professional. Doctor Kimberly was caring, a good listener, thorough and didn't make me feel rushed. Even my cat was pretty good with her. I've walked away extremely happy and I'm now recommending to a few of my local friends who have pets.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The vets are great. My animals have always been comfortable when they have been seen by the vet. A very clean clinic, which is important! Just got an e-mail advising that the Vac for Life program that I have paid will no longer be valid effective January 1st 2022 and will be replaced by their "best for pet program" instead. Then why the hell did I pay for a Vac for Life when I have to repay on another program? Well, another customer lost here!

Had an amazing experience at this VET, They have a great staff who are always smiling and they always chuck me messages to make sure how my dog is doing.
