I didn't realize this was a museum even though I fly out of Hartsfield-Jackson a lot. I first found out about it when I was looking for flight museums (I'm an enthusiast) and realized there was one just 30 minutes from where I lived. I went on a Saturday, but it wasn't crowded at all like you might expect. I started by going through the hangars, and really enjoyed walking around the 767. I also got to go inside, and I liked just trying out all the different seats. The lavatory was closed, so I wasn't able to see if it was good or not. Then I took a short walk through the parking lot out to the 747. There's a flight of stairs but also an elevator if you need wheelchair accessibility. The cabin was very cool to walk around, I tried all the seats I could (as mentioned before) and you can also open all the different cabinets the flight attendants used and pull out the carts they roll around. On the upper deck there is the cockpit and a couple of seats and then a large exhibit with lots of things to learn about the plane. Would recommend if you have an extra hour or two in Atlanta.

Visited with wife on Tue Oct 18. The two hangars are very spacious between exhibits. There are exhibits from the early days of Delta up to the present including live diagram of Atlanta Airport. Check schedule at https://www deltamuseum dot org to see what will be open outside. For us, the 747 was open but the DC-9 was not. The photo is from the upper deck of the 747. Panels removed so you can see pipe and wire. The 737-200 simulator is worth the cost. The instructor set me up with 3 mile final for several airports. He started easy (straight approach with no wind) and then did Juneau, which has a dogleg due to a mountain. My wife took video and still shots. The graph shows when we were too high or low and approach. After we finished the instructor took a picture of us (with great framing showing location in the museum).

We had a great time last night at Hops in the Hangar 2023! The First Class tix were sold out when I got ours but I will be paying attention for next year's event. Flying Economy wasn't half bad anyway! ✈️ I've always wanted to go here, but to get to sample craft beer, eat hors d'oeuvres, and be entertained by either a DJ or a live band in each hangar, all while getting up close to legendary aircraft like the DC-3 and the B767 "The Spirit of Delta" was insane. The first Delta Queen 747 was outside. We didn't get to go to that because they were busy parking everyone but next time we will come up earlier to check everything out before the event. If you're into aviation like I am, this museum is a don't-miss for the Atlanta area!

✈️ Incredible tour of one of the most interesting museums in the Atlanta area! The flight museum details all the years of Delta since the beginning with interactive displays and real-life used memorabilia from over the years. For a high price you can even use a real flight simulator! From what I was told, you can invite several friends and split the cost and go on a real flight path. It was also so much fun to walk upon the Spirit of Delta inside and the 747 outside the museum. You get to see how it was all built and the science behind the successful machines of the air. There is a neat store inside where you can buy all sorts of Delta gear. Absolutely a must visit for anyone interested in aviation. ️

Probably not high on tourists must see list, it is a decent diversion to spend 1.5 hours by the airport. Would've been nicer if it was free but I guess this isn't a good use of the company's capital from shareholders POV. Museum has some interesting artifacts including the 747 jumbo. A couple exhibits were closed when we were visiting. But overall it met my expectations as a minor attraction---probably would've never visited if it wasn't for the extra time on hand before flight.

Came to Atlanta to go to the Southeastern Railway Museum & to sightsee Atlanta. Trains are my interest, but I like anything in Transportation. This was also a great museum to visit. The museum is located in a hanger & has planes outside as well. It has many real life planes to see including 2 you can go into & sit in the seats. You can go right up to the planes, stand next to the tires, walk underneath them, see what the cockpits look like. Definitely worth going to see.

This was an amazing look into the history of Delta Airlines,it’s planes and most importantly the people who built the Airline. It was totally worth seeing what individuals who have a common cause and purpose and their input is valued can do and built such an outstanding business. Now it is gone public but the history of an employee owned airline is outstanding and should be recognized in education as an example of American ingenuity!

I went only to see the DC3 but got surprised with all they have inside like a 747 when you go inside like the cockpit and transparent parts to see how it’s. There some olds simulators and an top notch one that I’m not sure if I could try. An small store as well. You gonna spend about 2h if you want read all and watch the movie, everything well organized. It’s a place to bring children, there some entertainment for them.

Nice place, make sure to check online before you go to make sure everything is open. When we went there, Hanger was closed, which has the museum and most of the stuff. But we were still able to look around the 747 and the other plane. They have a store that sells all different types of Delta, leftover merchandise, ranging from airplane seats to T-shirts to wing parts, all for a great price. It’s definitely worth checking out that store and the person in charge Judy is the nicest person in the area. Just keep in mind what time the store closes.
Finally, after six month I made it to my Global Entry appt. Overheard one of agents tell someone that they have walk-ins daily. Delta Flight museum-Trip Advisor's #22 Things to Do when visiting Atlanta. Be ready to spend about 2 hrs which is perfect because the 747 Experience doesn't open till 11AM. Free admission to active and retired military. Must see if you're planning a trip to Atlanta.

Really cool experience visiting this museum. Lots of great history and very well displayed. I enjoyed the interactive parts of the museum in addition to being able to walk into some of their Boeing planes. My favorite part was the evolution of the flight attendant uniforms. Really cool to see how the uniforms evolved over the years in different countries. Highly recommend visiting!

This was a pretty cool experience. I was there for a flight attendant graduation ceremony and loved seeing all the aircraft parts up close. Felt nice to see a part of history. I didn't go during normal open hours to the public, however, I did notice that there's a lot of parking. I didn't see an overwhelming variety of aircraft and did not have a chance to see if there were any simulated machines to mimic various flight experiences.

I'm very into aviation and have been to many aviation museums and I can say they did an excellent job with this museum. There is a lot to see and is well worth the trip in the $15 admission. You must check their calendar because they do a lot of events and sometimes close one or both parts of the museum for them. Second time I've been!

They were closed to the general public on a Saturday. Which was slightly odd to me. They do have some cool planes to look at, a few little neat things, and perhaps I am just being some type of way...but it was very underwhelming. It was fun, but I was expecting more I suppose. I would come back again.

Very nice museum about the full history of Delta Airlines. From the prop era to modern jets. Nice meeting location inside a plane and the visit to the 747 is a must do. The sheer size is just amazing. The highlight for me was the visit, take-off and landing in the 737-200 simulator! Just an amazing experience. Highly recommended.

I would dare say this is a completely underrated attraction for people of all ages. We took my three boys (5, 3, and 18-months) and they were completely in love with this place. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Atlanta! If you are thinking about going, take the time to do it!!

Great place and cool exhibits that are interactive. The staff weren’t like too amazing but not bad. They sort of just were there and when I asked for a price they just held up their fingers instead of talking with you. Pretty cool place though and the gift shop had a lot of cool items that were unique to Delta, not just the same old stuff that every other gift shop has.
Great experience! Friendly staff. Lots of cool history about the world’s greatest air line! Also a good deal of educational information about flight for the kiddos. The simulator is an amazing idea for anyone interested in flight, although it is a tad on the pricey side. But what an amazing experience for someone who wouldn’t have the opportunity otherwise!
What a fantastic experience! I highly recommended this place if you have a few hours to kill. Call first! They’re sometimes closed due to special events. There are plenty of interactive activities and tons of history. The Boeing 747 exhibit has different hours than the museum so check that also. All around a good time and friendly people working there.
This museum is amazing to learn about aviation history and Delta airlines! The 747 experience is so awesome where you can explore anything there and get a great view of the Atlanta airport! I would recommend a million times! 12/10

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the museum. I appreciated as a retired Vietnam Era Veteran they waived my entrance fee. The highlight was my first exposure to a Boeing 747. I thought it was presented well. The staff was very helpful and professional. I liked walking around and reading and seeing the history of Delta.
Worth for money if you would like to kill some time beetween flights. Pro tip: There is no public transportation to there. Take one of the nearby hotel shuttles and walk there:) You can spend 2 hours with it.

Absolutely AMAZING place! As a student pilot, this place is a must see!!!! I only wish they took more time to show the African American pilots, as opposed to having it tucked away in a corner. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The 747 IS WONDERFUL!!!! Next time, I will partake in the simulator experience!
This is our 3 year old’s Happy Place! We come here frequently and love it. Can we get a membership program please? Check Mason’s Happy Walk when he gets inside the hangars. He does this every time.

Very nice museum with lots to see. My 12 year old loved all the planes, especially the 747. I wasn't too impressed with the gift shop. Very overpriced with not alot of items to choose from. Bring snacks if you intend on being there for much time. There are no food or drinks available at the museum.
Fantastic museum with very friendly staff. Loved the 747 and 767 displays. Check first before making the trip because the hangar is closed periodically for private events.

This was a bucket list thing for me honestly. I’m an experienced pilot ✈️ and have loved aviation for many years. I have to tell you being up close and seeing and touching the displays and realizing how enormous the Spirit of Delta is.
This is the coolest thing I did this summer. I love airplanes so it was a treat to visit this museum. There's a lot to see and you can end by taking a visit to the 747 they have staged on the outside of the museum. I definitely recommend! More

Great exposure for our students in The Augustus Project's Bridge to Social and Academic Success Program. This was the first time that each of them had ever visited the Delta ✈️ Museum!
The Boeing 737-200 full-motion flight simulator and Delta's instructor, Rudy gave us an enormous experience. He taught us firmly even though it was only an hour lesson.
We came at 3:00 to see the museum. We were charged full price without being told that one of the main attractions, the 747, closes at 2:45. This is a rip off! More
I came to the Delta Flight Museum for a Delta Flight Attendant graduation. Google did not do a good job in directing us. We had to ask for directions.
Very nice and informative experience of the Delta company and aviation. Interactive flight elements were cool. Museum crew were kind and welcoming.
Every thing, just wow..we really had good time..we took our 3 year old daughter, we had fun and enjoy clicking some amazing pictures.
Absolutely loved the museum!! Both my 2-year old and I were super excited to go
