This has been my dry cleaner for 20 years since I moved to Vancouver In 2002. There was a different owner at that time and he was very personable and service oriented. The current owners took over the business many years ago. I continued to give them my business as it was efficient and also, I’m a creature of habit. I moved to Olympic Village over 10 years ago but still drove here. The service level was still intact as they kept an employee that was with the former owner. I tried to only drop off and pick up in the mornings when she was there. (No longer an employee) The other attendant that serves customers is extremely rude. I always feel as if she’s doing me a favour by taking my business. Or that I’m putting her out. Today I went in and requested a dress for my wife be dry cleaned same day. The sign in their window is clear and says same day service. ( photo attached) I had the worst interaction where I was told that the sign means nothing and it has been there forever. This interaction was completely unacceptable to me and I won’t be giving them business again. If a business owner has such little regard for their business practice, in this case, false advertising, then who knows what else they are unethical about. I read another review from a customer stating that she was surprised by the price when she picked up her items. This is another practice they do and I’ve been a victim of. When you drop off your items, your receipt has the number of items dropped off not the price. They arbitrarily assign the prices afterwards. Needless to say I will not return to this dry cleaner and would not recommend to anyone else.
I have used this cleaner a couple of times in the past but this time it was very disappointing! I brought in my waterproof raincoat that has a broken zipper! I was quoted $50 as it was going to be complicated. After two weeks & not hearing anything I went in . I was told that they couldn’t find a waterproof zipper anywhere in Vancouver. In less than 24 hours I found a zipper online & brought it back to them. Two weeks later I received a phone call asking me to pick up my coat! I went in & it was scrunched in a bag & another staff said their machine was too old ! So they had my coat for five weeks & did nothing! I took my coat to Nicola cleaners on Nicola & Nelson. Two days later I was called to pick up my coat. The old zipper was simply fixed …$15. If it needs replacing they will happily do it! Lesson learned!
Very rude and unprofessional customer service. I used to be their regular customer but after my last experience, I’ll NEVER go back! She couldn’t remove stains of my jacket, yet tried to charge me $15 for it. I asked her to give it another try or I’ll take my jacket to another cleaner. She said that she’ll try it, when the owner will return from a vacation. Week later, when I came back to pick up my jacket the price went up to $20. I asked her to honour the original price but it was pointless. The greedy and rude lady was completely clueless of any business manners. It was pointless talking to her. I hope they’ll go out of business soon with this attitude!
I dropped off a medium, maybe 2 small loads of laundry, because I was parked in front of their place. They offered wash and fold at this dry cleaners. I was shocked when I picked up my laundry that the bill was $95!!!!!! I didn't even bother to get an estimate because the bill, since my washer/dryer broke has always been between $29-$34. The reason they charged me so much was because I had a coverlet in the mix , which meant that the wash & fold poundage was multiplied by almost $13 a pound. I was flabbergasted and they didn't offer any level of consumer service at all.
I used their tailoring service for my favorite jeans and I agreed to pay $25 for their work. But the final result of their work was so disappointed that I could not even expect from the company with tailoring service and it was not professional at all (see photos below). I will never come back there and i will not recomend their tailoring service to anyone. They did the worst job and charged way to much for it! I will have to go to other tailoring company to fix their work.
I took my pants in for tailoring ,in the process they were ruined by the seamstress. When I went back to show them the shoddy work and get my money refunded for the tailoring they told me to get lost so not only am I out for the 200 dollar pants to my suit I also had to pay for the damage done by the business . I’m leaving to Montreal in the Am without my suit for the event .it’s terrible the way they treat customers!
I have been solely to this place over the last decade. I have not had a single surprise charge, surprise not-ready, or surprise _anything_. I always look forward to how my pressed pants n shirts will make me feel like a million bucks. Thank you Denman Clean Tech though honestly to me they've always just been "the dry cleaners on Denman". I have used both tailoring and dry cleaning.
The dry cleaning is good, but they are not honest with their pricing and customer service is terrible. There is often added charges for “fabric” or “style of clothing” even though this was not mentioned when I asked about the price at time of drop off. Except a higher price than what they originally say. The service is good. However, not worth the hassle of constant overcharging.
Nancy and the other lady are nice but the guy there is super rude and aggressive. Very impolite and it feels like you owe him something!! The prices are ok but there are plenty of other places with same prices so with that awful customer service you’d better not go there if you don’t wanna feel insaulted.
Wonderful, The ladies did a superb dry clean and detailing on my Vera Wang Wedding Dress. They were very quick and any questions I had were answered professionally and very nicely. Thank you so Much. Sian The Irish ☘️ Bride My Wedding: August 15, 2021
I went and did ask them to do adjustments on my pants and suite jacket. Well... Just to say enough there is one side longer than the other. How come???
Damaged leather coats? Rugs with ground-in dirt? Dress shirts service? They are magicians and always speak the language of kindness.
Woman who works there is so rude and they charge different prices for a man and womans suit. Womens is 2$ more which is sexist
They’re always super nice here and it’s really convenient! I use their wash and fold and it’s great!
Super nice people and they do a great job at reasonable prices! Handy on Denman Street too!
I do not recommend. Worst customer service that I have experienced in the West End.
Great place for alterations and repairs on torn clothes! Very reasonably priced!
Laundry $2.90/Shirt, $6/pants. Opens at 7:30. It's not bad.
The only place I trust for quality dry cleaning service!
Have always had a good experience. Quick easy service!
