**** BUYERS BEWARE **** Purchased the car remotely. Had several discussions with Dennis prior to purchase. Many are even documented. In those conversations he confirmed that: 1. The tires were in good condition and still had 70% life. 2. The brakes are great and have 75% life 3. The radio antenna was broken so he was going to install a new one (he had already purchased a replacement). 4. "You are going to love this car! It had only one owner, is rust free and in excellent condition" FACTS AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR AND HAVING A TOYOTA CERIFIED MECHANIC THOROUGHLY INSPECT: 1. The brakes measured only 3MM (that's less than 30% of life). They need replacement along with the rotors. 2. The tires (all 5) were horrifically dry rotted and would not pass inspection. Need replacement. 3. The antenna he left in the car for me to install was the wrong one. Need to purchase and install a new one. 4. The parking brake was totally disabled and not functioning. Will not pass inspection and requires replacement. 5. The distributor is faulty and requires replacement. 6. The steering stabilizer requires replacement 7. The coolant is cloudy and requires an extensive cleaning and flush. 8. The side marker lights need full replacement because they are not only missing the rubber seal, the bulb socket is completely missing. 9. Most of the exterior bulbs require replacing. The list goes on and on and is a far cry from being in "excellent condition". I sent an email to Dennis asking for a small credit to help pay for the items he essentially lied about ... the tires, the brakes, and the antenna. His response in a nutshell, "I do not negotiate twice". Buyers - highly suggest you take a mechanic with you upon inspecting the car. Dennis is your quintessential, "used car salesman". In spite of all this, Dennis was easy to work with remotely. And his administrative staff was very organized and helpful. But that doesnt give him the right to bamboozle me.

Dennis is a cool guy and a straight talker. He knows the value of the vehicles he looks at and does some fair bargaining. He does his research well and buys accordingly. His lot is beautiful and with very well curated cars. What made me chose Dennis was 1) been around for a long time and the good experience the majority of people had and 2) based on our initial phone call and discussing of the pictures he didn’t low ball me which many of the other dealers or even private people would do. Once I got to Dennis we had a walk around. He made fair comments of the type of work that needed to be done. He also drove the truck around the block to make sure it runs well. When Dennis sees a good deal he’s going to be a fair buyer which made my experience with him very enjoyable. It was sad to see my beautiful ‘67 F250 go but know that it’ll be even more beautiful once Dennis finishes touching it up if the other cars on his lot are anything to go by. If you want the security of a dealer and the fair negotiation of a private person Dennis is your guy.

Caveat emptor. Let the buyer beware. Dennis does not permit a car to be inspected by a mechanic of the buyer's choosing except if the mechanic will do so at the sellers lot. Why? What defects will be uncovered? It was very hard on Saturday. Dennis, saying the car does not need any repair, offered a warranty for the engine and transmission only. However after buying the car and checking by a mechanic it was discovered that the engine and transmission mountings are broken and that repair is not covered by the warranty. In addition other problems were found. All costly to replace/repair about $600.00. Unfortunately most buyers will not know to ask about engine mounts, or any other specific parts costly and necessary items might need replacing or repair. I asked seriously, are there any problems with this car. Hearing the answer was NO, I depended on the integrity and candor of the seller or the warranty. If neither is there, well then.... In short not an entirely honest transaction.

One employee came at me aggressively cussing in both English and Spanish as I passed by during my lunch break. First thing I see is him cussing before I even know where he came from. Then he runs into the business and has his manager report it to mine. An incident he started away from my work and no way had to do with my place of business. First incident occured away. Second was to talk to the guys employer, which a lady talked to me about. Update: I went second time to talk to owner. Asked and the woman talked since the guy didn't want to. So unsure what she had said to him. Lying about what occurred. And first incident was off their camera range and on ours. Shows their person confront me first. If someone approaches me aggressively I am legally allowed to use justified means. I work with police and know the law. And what posting false stuff can lead to.

Don't go, unless you want to get a rip off value. Went to Dennis to sell a car that is only 3 years old. Almost perfect condition. Dennis barely looked over the car, and gave us a really low bid. He came up with every excuse as to why it was a lower value, even though he hardly glanced at it. The value I was referring to was the Kelly Bluebook Value. He wouldn't even budge on the negotiation and was way below my lowest number in mind. I went to Carmax and they did a FULL INSPECTION, down to every single corner of the car and engine. They even tested the alignment on the steering on a straight road test. Carmax saw the car was in great condition and gave me $3,000 dollars more than Dennis offered. Don't go here, he's gonna try to lowball you and get it super cheap, instead of aiming for a fair profit.

Visited to have my car appraised after making an appointment. Dennis conducted the worst appraisal of all time. Didn't seriously appraise the car nor start it. Claimed to be a car "guru" & can make an offer just by looking. Quickly walked around the car and went inside. Then came the low ball. Immediately left and went to carmax. Sold my car for $1,000 more after it was professionally appraised. Never going back to 8931 venice blvd. Worst small dealer to find parking!!!

I bought this beautiful 1961 Cadillac from Dennis....I'm in Hawaii and I bought this car without even looking at it in person.... Dennis and Nicole are wonderful people....They were so honest and very helpful.....The car is better than I ever expected....I'm not one to easily trust people but this experience gave me a new outlook on life.... There's still good and honest people out there and Dennis and Nicole are a good example...... Aloha and Mahalos!!

I don't know where to start. Nicole was wonderful . I never bought a classic car let alone from out of state. Contacted Dennis because I was selling a car I told him about some of the minor issues it had including the bad paint job after he saw the pictures I sent him he offered to pay $8K and to bring him the car so after driving more than 2 hours we get there and he makes excuses that a paint job its going to be expensive for him so he low balls me to $5K so it was no deal.

Dennis provided the best services in assisting selling a vehicle that my dad left me that I had no attachment to. Dennis worked with me on completing this transaction. And, was also a therapist to me. We laughed and compared notes of family life. I seriously recommend dealing with Dennis than attempting to selling a vehicle on your own.
