What a wonderful dentist; my teeth haven’t felt so good in years. Unashamedly my teeth are a mess. Years of neglect, appalling brushing techniques, football games without mouthguards and less than adequate dentistry have left me with far less teeth than I should have and those that remain are in bits and pieces. No problems for someone with the skill and importantly the understanding shown by Zelman. Hard to believe that I actually fall asleep during Zelman’s treatment such is the level of comfort and my confidence in Zelman’s work. Zelman has outlined a plan of management. It is totally my choice when I choose to have that work done. I recently visited the Dental Care Group and I must say they have continue to maintain their extremely high standards as they have done on all my previous appointments. The dentist is Dr Zelman Lew who has been my dentist now for many years. On arrival I was greeted in reception by a friendly and pleasant receptionist. I only had to wait 5 minutes in the waiting room; that was clean and full of relevant dental information. As always I was escorted to the treatment room by Dr Zelman Lew. Dr Zelman Lew then proceeded to examine my teeth in an extremely professional and caring manner; all the time explaining to me what he was doing and the rationale behind the examination. X rays were taken this time , as it was not required. Once the treatment was finished I was asked if I had any questions or concerns after which I was again escorted to reception by Dr Zelman Lew. I was then able to pay and claim my account electronically. Overall I had an extremely pleasant experience at The Dental Care Group; and would highly recommend them to both family and friends.

This is a review on how a phone call asking for a quote was handled by Dr. Lew. My queries were stopped short with his reply saying that there was no point for him giving a quote because their fees are more expensive than other dental practices. I tried to explain that I was not looking to compare his rates with others, but just wanting to know how much the fees were so I know the impact to my budget. (I am one of those who monitor personal finances closely.) Despite this, he just reiterated his message. I ended the call quickly because I didn't want my temper to take over and be rude. I felt utterly disrespected. I am deeply disappointed. He came highly recommended by a friend and I was aware of his pricing position in the market. I was prepared to book an appointment, the last step before that was simply updating my budget. I hope this feedback prevents a similar incident from happening to any of your prospective clients.

I experienced a dental emergency after hours and given the lockdown situation in Melbourne, I knew the dentist I visited in past were unavailable. I frantically googled emergency dental services around me and found details of dental care group. I just called their number out of desperation and was greeted pleasantly and was allowed to come for consult at first available appointment the next day. I felt assured that I made a right decision by calling them. Zelman is a gem of a person and dentist. He provided very clear diagnosis of the issue I was facing and offered options on how it can be treated. I considered a surgical tooth extraction- now when we talk of surgery, it can be scary. I am not exaggerating when I say that the extraction was smooth as butter. I was taken care of really well and I feel so much better already within a day of tooth extraction. I would 100% recommend Zelman and his team.

Had my routine checkup and cleaning today with Dr Zelman and the hygienist Desiree. They are both professional and effective. Desiree and the other assistant helped me with the cleaning, Desiree is very clear about what she's going to do by explaining to me every step of the process. She emphasized the importance of flossing. The only thing that I wish they could improve is to explain to me a bit more in details about the total cost of the visit. As I didn't know that applying Floride costs $30 and the "Clinical periodontal analysis and recording" for any new patients (me) also cost $33. They could've told me during the cleaning process. These are the costs that I am not aware of until I made the final payment. Other than that, all is very professional service, and I am satisfied with the end result.

Very pleased with my root canal and crown by Dr Zelman Lew. My previous dentist misdiagnosed me the day before my first appointment with Dental Care Group and I presented with a lot of pain and anxiety. From the moment I entered the clinic I noticed a remarkable difference in the experience and have not looked back. Dr Lew determined the appropriate course of treatment and to my relief I was able to keep my tooth with minimal discomfort. Staff are professional and friendly, always ensure you are comfortable. I met Dr Zelman recently as I had to see an experienced dentist regarding a second opinion about a couple of teeth I had a complex issue with. Not only Dr Zelman found a next day appointment for me, he also recommended the most efficient and cost effective solution which he implemented brilliantly, with great care and in a timely manner. For my wisdom tooth removal, Dr Zelman referred me to an oral sergeant who performed a top job as well. I am very happy with my customer experience at the Dental Care Group. Haven’t been to the dentist in a very very long time so I was bracing myself with both the anxiety of the amount of work I would need done on my teeth & the overall cost. Dr Lew and staff have been super helpful in easing my worries about both of these things. My first session (of four) to get both fillings & a clean was an absolute breeze. Dr Lew is so professional & talks you through every procedure, making you you feel comfortable the entire time. On the finance side of things, the clinic have been fantastic too. I have always been scared of visiting the dentist after a previous bad experience but I am happy to say Zelman is a very caring dentist and I feel very comfortable in his hands. Before he starts any work on my teeth he carefully explains the procedure and if the work is complicated he stops halfway through and explains the next steps. When he has completed the work he shows me what he has done and makes sure I am happy with my teeth. His team always ring me the next day to ensure everything is alright with my teeth. The whole approach is full of care and my faith in visiting the dentist has been restored.

A while ago, I first visited Zelman Lew at Dental Care Group clinic a for a routine dental check up. Some weeks later, I was suffering discomfort and losing sleep from toothache in a deep filling. I spoke to Zelman at BNI Friday meeting with my tale of woe. Zelman made a special visit to his clinic that same day, to sort out my inflamed infected gum and filling. His dedication, attention to detail and easy manner, made a potentially stressful visit an easy and welcome relief. I recommend Zelman to anyone looking to maintaining good dental health, excellent customer service, caring and “can do” attitude.

If I were asked to describe Dr Zelman I would say he is a dentist who genuinely cares and who listens to his patients. I have now had four fillings completed and with another four to go, I know that I am in very safe, capable hands with this clinic. Dr Zelman is aware that I have some dentistry anxiety based on terrible experiences in my childhood and while treating me, he is slow and his work is always very calm and careful. Zelman Lew is the best dentist I've ever had. As an expat living in Australia, I've had many dentists over the years and feel fortunate to now be in the care of Zelman. He has an exceptional ability to quickly assess an issue and develop a plan of action for addressing it. I recently had a crown put in and his competence and skill were on clear display. Dr Zelman was a total life saver!! I was in an absolutely terrible pain one Sunday afternoon and a quick Google search led me to Dr Zelman. Just leaving another review as my previous one did not show up properly. Long story short Dr Lew was cold and often seemed agitated / impatient. Bedside manner ok, clinic clean enough but here’s the catch: he had made my fillings to high and in order to correct them, I was expected to take time out of my working day, travel to his clinic and then pay for the “consultation”, after which the fillings were still too high and I had to see another more capable dentist. Do yourself a favor and see someone else seriously

I have been seeing Dr. Lew for over 25 years now and have always felt extremely happy with his dental care. Zelman and the staff who are all very polite make you feel very comfortable once you enter the practice. I am always impressed with the enthusiastic approach that Dr. Lew has to his profession. My experience as a patient of Dr Zelman Lew has been very positive in that I am really pleased with the way my teeth look now compared to how they looked before. Also, not having a toothache is very gratifying, as I have been treated by the in-house dental hygienists who guide me in proper care of my teeth and do the cleaning that I could never achieve. The pleasant, competent and caring treatment I have received from Dr Lew and his staff is highly commendable.

Even though I recently moved to a suburb fairly distant from Zelman Lew (Dental Care Group) I haven't changed dentists, because Zelman is such a fine one: excellent at what he does, and also he makes sure I feel no or very little pain! I find Dr Zelman Lew to be a very professional dentist. I have been a patient of his for many years. His punctuality is much appreciated. Parking is never a problem. The dental care I have received over the years is second to none. His practice is always very clean and his level of hygiene is five star. Dr Zelman is very thorough. I had a filling done by another dentist and my tooth was left sensitive and sore. They told me that the only thing that could be done was a root canal. I have been seeing Dr Lew for about 15 years and he is simply the best dentist I have ever had. He’s calm confident manner puts you at ease straight away ( important if you don’t like going to dentist). The team he has around him is excellent. In fact they are so good that when I relocate to Perth in 2022 I will continue to use them as my dentist!
