I don't see myself going to any other dentist. I highly recommend Dental Home Family dentistry ! They definitely live up their name! I have been to my share dentists growing up. I never really had issues with my teeth up until I hit my 40s. I started having bad experiences with some dental practices, you know? when you feel judged, ignored, and badly treated without explanations of whatever you may have going on. Fast forward 2022. After some concerns with a tooth, I was searching for a good dentist. I started to worry about how they would treat me and judge me for not taking care of my teeth as good as I used to. I was introduced to Dr Furlong at DH. On my first visit, I was treaded with dignity and respect by all the staff. They asked me what my concerns were, what my expectations were, and what my fears were. They did research on my previous experiences at the dentist so they know how to assist me better . They educated me in every aspect of my dental needs, no judgement, not making me feel bad about my lack of dental care etc. They treated me like family. The front desk is AMAZING, starting with Heather, the office manager, she has been great help when it comes to insurance needs, and treatment costs and comforting me when I get nervous! Kami, the treatment coordinator, is so good at explaining treatments, costs, and payment options and Nina (she is so sweet! They all are) she is the patient care coordinator, she is so nice and very patient when it comes to scheduling my visits, always following up. The team is very good at managing my dental needs. When you walk in, you immediately feel the cozy, family environment. The hygienist Ashten is one of my Heroes! Thanks to her I have been able to rejuvenate my smile and have a super healthy mouth. She is both caring, knowledgeable, personable, and sympathetic, always listening and teaching me, and always keeps me involved and informed. She is nothing short of AMAZING! Now, because I had to get a tooth extraction, I naturally freaked out, EVERYONE made me feel so comfortable with the process. Doctor Oatis did my initial examination and he broke the news of what I needed to get done. He made me feel at ease and started some of the process; his knowledge and expertise are incredible. Enter Dr Furlong! I am a veteran of the armed forces, US MARINES. Dr. furlong, is an Army officer veteran! YIKES, the rivalry HAHA His skills are second to none! i have never had a dentist be so detailed oriented, focused and gentle. He is calm, friendly, genuine, and really cares about my teeth and he is the one and only dentist that operated on me. His wisdom and subject matter expertise are impeccable. His leadership skills, reflect on his team. I am more than grateful to have ran into this dental practice. He definitely has my six and from one vet to another, I trust him in a way than most people don’t understand. I had my tooth extracted, Ive had my teeth cleaned and gums treated, I am on an Invisalign treatment, I got an implant and also getting my teeth whiten! Shout out to Dee and the other dental assistants who have been a part of this journey!!!! I have never been happier in my life! I don't see myself going to any other dentist. November, 2023 I can't say enough nice things about the office and staff. It's the first Dental Office that really goes out of it's way to make sure you're well taken care from the moment you walk in their follow up care. Another follow up! I was in yesterday and I just can't tell you how wonderful the whole staff is. I had another engagement and was on time and and out on time. My son was in last month and he just raved about everyone. My wife's appointment is coming up, we are a whole "Dental Home Family Dentistry" family. I couldn't think of going anywhere else! Follow up: Another 5 star review! Just had my crown fitted and I couldn't be more pleased. This office is a family and treats their patients as such. I wish I could give them 10 starts!!!! New Post: Wanted to let you know that I inadvertently broke my temporary crown on a Sunday. I was in terrible pain. I called their number and left a message. Within minutes, Heather returned my call and met me within an hour. She replaced my temporary and I was out the door in less than an hour. Customer service is not dead. August 2023: Dr Furlong improved my smile with crowns on my upper teeth. I am so happy with how they look and feel! Plus, they have stopped the erosion of my original teeth. For years I wanted pretty teeth... I am grateful for my new smile and dental health!! I return for regular cleanings and flouride treatments and am always amazed at the care I receive. For the first time in my life I look forward to seeing my dentist ❤️ January 2023: This update to my review is just to say that I still love these folks:) I am about to have some work done that I would not have considered with my previous dentist. Heather and Dr Furlong are the people I trust to make sure the process is painless! I recommend this practice!! I never thought I would say this: I love my dentist! Okay, I do not love much of what happens in the dental chair, but I could not be happier with this practice and ALL the people who work there. I started going to Dental Home Family Dentistry in 2019. I was very nervous and fearful about going; I hadn't been to a dentist in 19 years. So shameful I know, but I just needed so much work done and was afraid of the work and cost. Well, I needn't have worried. Dr. Mike and Dr. Melanie and their staff are The Best! I have been going to this office for two years, and have yet to feel pain! Everyone is so supportive, kind, and gentle. No pain! Only excellent, professional work and good feelings after every visit. I would also like to say that, although the entire staff is terrific, my favorite Hygienist is Celina. There is never any pain! She is so thorough. She is very kind. Wonderful office! Everything runs so smoothly and they all really work together as a team. Front staff is helpful and office manager, Heather, is very friendly and made me feel at home. The hygienist, was great too (I think her name was Melinda). She cleaned my teeth without making my gums sore or bleed (a first for me!). Dr Furlong was positive and honest in his evaluation of my teeth. I felt his assessment was conservative and realistic - not taking me to the cleaners. The photos he took of a filling that needed a crown sooner rather than later really helped me understand what he was seeing. I have had a lot of bad experiences with dentists, I did not feel nervous here. Highly recommend if you are looking for a friendly and knowledgeable dentists office.

I went to Dr. Furlong for a 2nd opinion because a new dentist at another office was recommending a bunch of dental work. Dr. Furlong reviewed the data, examined my teeth, and determined that the other dentist's recommendation was unwarranted. Dr. Furlong also was very accommodating to my husband, when he had a crown failure, which resulted in a serious infection--this too was caused by another dentist. This crown failure was an emergency and Dr. Furlong and the staff were able to work my husband in to their very busy schedules, perform an emergency root canal, treat the infection, and replace the crown. We both have moved to the Dental Home Family Dentistry office because of the care and professionalism provided to us.

When I left my full-time job after growing our family more, we needed to get new insurance and change dentists. My husband found Dental Home via Google and it was just down the road from our house. They had something available for me in the next two weeks & had online prep work to complete prior to my visit. The staff was cordial, asking me about my needs/wants, and the office has updated equipment to complete everything in-house. My only (trivial) issue was that I wasn’t made aware at my initial scheduling that my new patient visit would not include the cleaning, but the doctor squeezed in my prophy himself and the assistant my polish & fluoride. Overall a very pleasant first experience!

I’ve had a history of many years of dental work, good and not so good! I’ve had multiple surgeries and implants. I have been a critical care nurse here in the valley for many many years! I should update my review. With my constant visit with them, the front office ladies are just so accommodating . Heather and Anna is so nice with their new colleague. Our 19 years old son has Autism and needed some dental work done. We had been looking around for a dentist that would be understanding and be willing to accommodate our son. Our two younger kids 3 and 6 already go to Dental Home and I really liked Dr. Furlong’s approach with our lil ones and felt he would be a good fit for our older son. When I approached him about working with our son he was enthusiastic and understanding. Fast forward to today and all work is complete. Dr. Furlong was super thorough and patient through multiple appointments and fillings. We very gladly will continue to bring our children here for all their dental needs.

Appointment for teeth cleaning and xrays, and the experience is always relaxed and enjoyable. Celina is so professional and easy to talk with. She answers all my questions and comments on ways to improve my dental care. The exam by Dr. Oatis was pleasant and his years of experience gives me comfort. My questions about straightening a few teeth were answered immediately by Dr.Furlong, and the Invisalign processs was explained in detail. The Dr. took his time to answer all my questions to help me make an informed decision. The staff at Dental Home do their best to make my visit a pleasant one, and the care they offer is second to none.

This is actually my second review only because I couldn't figure out how to add to my original one. I found Dental Home Family Dentistry by accident a month ago because I needed a dentist that could get me in right away due to an abscess. It's been quite a ride. Every person there is top notch. I've since had dentures on the top that I've wanted for years and whitening on my bottom teeth. The wonderful staff that I've gotten to know are Heather, Jewel, Sara and of course Dr. Furlong. I adore them because they've made my whole dental experience nothing short of amazing. I never ever though I would feel that way about dental work!

I have always hated going to the dentist. But the crew at Dental home are very warm, caring and professional. Dr Furlong was fantastic he was so caring and made me feel very comfortable right away. He gave me a lot of great information with a great plan for my teeth. The hygienist Ashten was very gentle and caring my deep cleaning was a breeze. No white knuckles! My dental hygienist, Ashten is amazing! I’ve been going to the same office since 99 or so when Dr Falk owned the practice and have seen my fair share of hygienists. Ashton has the best chair side manners, is informative yet caring with her delivery while keeping my anxiety low while I was seated in the chair. Overall the entire office was very pleasant and welcoming, including Dr Furlong April, Cami and Nina who all played a part in appointment and care. Best experience I have ever had at a dentist. The staff is extremely friendly everyone had a warm and welcoming smile which of course is what you want to see at a dentist. I have never received such a thorough evaluation of my mouth and during the evaluation everything was explained to me without having to ask. The hygienist was awesome she was very meticulous yet gentle with my gums. They even give a little tour of the office it was a great experience.

First time back to the dentist in over a year. I was definitely nervous and anxious. I got in and everyone was so sweet and comforting and gentle. That’s exactly what you want in a dental team. My experience at Dental Home was great as a new patient. The people here went above and beyond to make me feel welcome the whole time. My dental hygienist explained everything that needed to be done to my teeth for my exam and answered all the questions I had. I started going to this Dentistry 5 years ago when I first moved to Arizona. I moved further away 3 years ago and continue to come to this location because of how great they are. The hygienist are all personable, each dentist is friendly and knowledgeable. The “guest menu” with blankets and TVs are a nice touch too! Not like any other dentist experience I’ve had before this. Love this dentistry!

This is the greatest dental office anywhere! Everyone from the front office to every dentist is courteous, professional, and never in a hurry. They take as much time as is necessary to address all your dental needs. I hadn’t been to the dentist in ages because of bad experiences. Now, I almost look forward to the visit. I was very pleased with my interaction with everyone and their kindness, information, and knowledge. My only concern was the amount of paperwork to be filled out while there, taking precious appointment time as opposed to having the option of doing that online ahead of time.

The location is easy to get in and out of and the service is very good. I had my semi-annual cleaning yesterday and was in and out in less than an hour. My teeth are in good shape and they definitely take good care of them.

As soon as I walked in I felt welcome. The Staff was friendly, and informative. I have known Dr. Oatis since 1979. In my opinion, as Dentists go, there are none better. This office is my new home for my dental care.

Went in for my teeth cleaning. This time Ashton did a great job even though I regularly see Celina. But Kudos to Ashton. Very nice young lady and took special care in the cleaning process. Thumbs up for Dental Home
