Went in for an emergency visit when my son's front tooth cracked in a school accident. I chose them because the receptionist assured me they were in-network with my insurance. They said he needed a root canal that day and it would be around $700 but within 15 mins, that bill changed twice and was now close about $1900. I was to come back in 3 months for a crown (if the procedure didn't work) but they wanted to charge me the full amount for the root canal AND the crown (that he may not even need) that day. I refused and only paid for what he had done that day. I paid the total amount for the services done that day but still, I received a 2nd bill asking for the difference of a procedure that had not been done. I start to get suspicious and check my insurance claims. It turns out that, not only did I not owe, they overcharged me and owe me back money. Billing took care of this after I sent proof of the insurance claim. Fast forward 3 months and he has an infection in the area and ends up needing a bridge instead. Over $2000 this time on top of what I already paid. I checked with my insurance and suddenly, they are billing under out-of-network Asnis Dental instead of in-network Covenant Dental. They never informed me that they were out-of-network. Over a month later, I receive a letter stating they have not yet submitted the additional paperwork requested by my insurance and my insurance may not cover due to this. So I again reach out to their billing department. They called me back and said that they did submit everything. Not even 30 mins later, I receive a call from the office stating that they do not have one of the x-rays requested by the insurance and that my son needs to come in to take the x-ray to submit to the insurance. This is over a month after the procedure. This is fraud.

I honestly never write reviews but I felt the need to warn everyone after my experience at this Dental office. First they don't explain co pays or deductible prior to your visit after my procedure I had to pay out-of-pocket Almost $200 (that's not the worst part). A few days after my procedure I started having a lot of pain on a tooth.. Lets keep in mind I went in with NO PAIN. After causing my pain they basically told me I had to see a specialist because they couldn't help even tho the pain was caused by them. I went back to see Doctor Lee was the only nice one and helped me as much as he could by prescribing pain medication, (Which I'm grateful because the pain was unbearable). BUT IT DOESN'T END THERE! I walked over the receptionist and she's charging me AGAIN!!! I mentioned to her "I just find it crazy how I have to pay for something that is your fault" she looks at me with a straight face and says "it's not the doctors fault" and I asked "how do you know?" She says "because I saw your X-Ray!!!" (i didn't know she was a doctor apparently) I just thought that was uncalled for, unprofessional and borderline HIPPAA violation. The fact that they left me in pain for days and then don't take any accountability is crazy to me! But yeah don't go here unless you want to leave with a toothache and then get told its YOUR fault. - Update: Someone called me and apologized and said they were going to clear out my bill. Days later I received a bill. Not trustworthy at all.

Though aesthetics are important- cleanliness of office and polite staff etc, etc, it is not as important as effective communication. PLEASE BE SURE TO ASK REPEATEDLY IF YOUR INSURANCE IS ACCEPTED FOR WHATEVER SERVICES YOU ARE HAVING PERFORMED. I was told when making my appointment and upon arriving at my appointment that my insurance was accepted. I wanted to have a tooth extracted and an implant performed. Every step of the way I was told my insurance was accepted UP UNTIL MY TOOTH WAS EXTRACTED. THEN IT WAS, THE PROVIDER THAT DID YOUR PROCEDURE IS NON PAR WITH YOUR INSURANCE. AS I SIT IN THE CHAIR WITH NO TOOTH IN MY MOUTH, I'm told of my $600+ bill that is due. Shocked is not the word!!!!!! Then it's don't worry, we're going to get authorization from your insurance carrier for the rest of the procedure... Fast forward 3 months and no auth was obtained AND UPON FURTHER QUESTIONING - MY INSURANCE WOULD STILL NOT BE BILLED BECAUSE THE PROVIDER THAT WOULD BE DOING THE PROCEDURE IS NOT PAR. All of this could have been told to me upfront!!!!! Now, I'm without a tooth, $600 and looking for another office. ASK, ASK AND ASK AGAIN!

Been looking for a trusted dentist for a year and few months and I'm glad to say I Finally found one that meets all of my expectations! The office is very clean and the staff are very friendly and wear genuine smiles on their faces. Everyone from the receptionist to the Dentist, Dr. Brown to the assistants are all so patient and knowledgeable and they answer all of my questions without problem. They make sure you are comfortable before and during your dental work explaining procedures repeatedly with patience. I HATE the sound of the drill so during my cleaning Melissa was really assuring me that their will be no pain and she kept asking me if I was okay. I was concerned so concerned about feeling pain but she really eased that anxiety with all of her assurance. I really appreciated that. Although I'm a grown up woman she didn't make me feel ridiculous for my concerns. By the way my teeth looked so pretty after. All the work I've done here so far has been great. Glad I gave Covenant Dentistry a chance. Definitely worth it.

So initially I picked this location because it was black owned, and the reviews seemed pretty good. However the experience I had with Dr. Jaheen was traumatizing. Firstly let me say the entire staff is very nice, but nice does not make up for what he put me through. I had a tooth extracted and during the procedure he did not numb me enough so I was in excruciating pain. I cannot describe how much pain I was in, I was ready to leave halfway through as I repeatedly told him I can feel it. They kept asking are you sure it’s not pressure and I would continuously ask him to stop as I balled my eyes out because I couldn’t stand the pain. The process took 2 hours FOR 1 TOOTH. He should have known where to numb me from the beginning NOT figure it out at the end. The immense pain was something I’ve never experienced before, I cried all during the procedure and then again after I left just thinking about how much pain I was in. After all this I am terrified to ever go back, might switch my doctor to Dr. Mills

I've been going to this dentist's office for a while now, and I have to say that I'm really pleased with the service I receive there. One of the things I appreciate most is that I'm always seen on time, which is a big deal for me. The staff is friendly and professional, and they make me feel comfortable during my appointments. The dentist himself is very attentive and always takes the time to listen to my concerns and answer any questions I have. I feel like he genuinely cares about my dental health and is committed to helping me maintain it. The hygienist is also excellent - she's thorough, gentle, and really knows what she's doing. Overall, I would definitely recommend this dentist's office to anyone looking for high-quality dental care. The staff is top-notch, the facilities are clean and modern, and the service is always excellent. I feel like I'm in good hands whenever I come here, and that's a great feeling to have when it comes to something as important as my dental health.

I can't speak to Dr. Mills because I wasn't even actually able to see her. My hope is that she is better than her front office. I booked my first cleaning and dental exam with Dr. Mills on ZocDoc, which went well. However, the practice never confirmed the appointment on the platform and did not answer my calls leading up to the appointment to check in. I called back the following week to try to reschedule. I had not spoken with anyone at the office before, so I was shocked when the receptionist told me that we'd had this conversation before. Weird. As it would have been my first time here, I was discussing the insurance process with the receptionist (which was also a little weird) and in the middle of that, the call abruptly dropped. I waited, but did not receive a call back, which I didn't love. It's 2020. Caller ID is a thing. I'm disappointed that I wasn't able to add Dr. Mills to my black & female practitioner team, but my experience in trying to do that was unsavory.

The phone etiquette of the staff was pleasant. I was able to schedule a Saturday appointment for my daughter and myself as two new patients. I received a confirmatory text for my daughter's appointment and a confirmatory e-mail for my appointment three days prior. However, the day of the appointments, the office was closed. I stayed locally, giving them the benefit of the doubt, and left two outreach messages. Sunday the office was closed. Monday was a holiday. On Tuesday, no one from the practice called me. On Wednesday, late afternoon, I had to call for an explanation. The person who took the call was pleasant and apologized. She wrote down my information and promised to provide it to the office manager. At this point, anything that the manager can say is a mute point as they have lost 4 new potential patients. Hopefully, they will learn from this experience how to run their practice better. First impressions are lasting impressions.

Went in for an Invisalign consultation last week and they told me they would call me to talk about pricing but haven't. I have called them every day since and I get through to their call center. Someone always takes a message and says someone will call me back from the office. I still haven't gotten a call back. Pretty frustrating as I really liked the service here. I thought the staff was super nice and the office was impeccably clean. I give the staff and the office 5 stars but the fact that I have not heard back and have had to call about a dozen times--still with no response, means that I can only give 1 star because customer service once people are outside your office is also extremely important, especially if I want to schedule a follow up or an appointment, or just know how much my services will cost! Honestly, its a shame because I really really liked this office and I don't usually like going to the dentist.

Nice clean office, they have all the newest tools. Came in for a regular cleaning, and tools didn’t work, it took about 1.5hrs for the appointment and they only cleaned the front of my teeth. ODD - didn’t ask because they wasted enough of my time. They Said I needed to come back for a deep clean and all these other things. I’ve never had a dentist tell me I need all this work that needs to be immediately done, and over the course of several appointments. I felt like they wanted to just take more money from insurance. I will be getting a second opinion elsewhere. Also sad how they told me about how they bought this business from a women who wanted to serve a community and provide her services to people that have Medicaid but they they bought it and only accept PPOS. I’m only writing this review because they literally emailed and asked how they were doing.

From the time I walked in to make an appointment, into the day of my appointment, I have received nothing less than OUTSTANDING customer service! April & Anna are thorough and very informative of what the doctors can/cannot do and what insurances they par with. Sasean, the Hygienist, was friendly, great sense of humor, and careful with cleaning! None of that tug-of-war feeling that I've received at other locations. And...Dr. Patel (exhale)...when your not trying to focus on his handsome face, he's engaging you in your own dental care. Explaining in the most basic terms, so that you understand what is happening & needs to be done moving forward. State-of-the-art equipment and just a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely, telling EVERYBODY to go to Covenant Dentistry! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because, there's always room to grow!

Yesterday I experienced the best dental care in all my 34 years of living. I have a really bad case of dental anxiety and if I’m being honest because of it I usually avoid going to the dentist. But I needed a root canal and I knew I had to handle it. So I saw Dr. Whyte and I expressed to him how anxious I was. He was so pleasant. He told me what to expect each step of the way until I was relaxed and he constantly asked if I was doing okay. I literally did not feel one ounce of pain nor discomfort. I have been avoiding this procedure for over a year because of my past dental experiences and after yesterday’s appointment I finally feel like I can trust going to the dentist again!

Great service in a great location. I have been coming here for the past year to have my teeth cleaned and my wisdom teeth removed and I highly recommend it to others. Dr. Mills and her staff are always friendly and professional. The office is very tastefully decorated with a rustic, modern charm and all of the equipment in the office is brand new and top of the line. The staff has been very accommodating in scheduling my appointments - they even offer appointments on Saturdays. They always follow up with a reminder text or call 2-3 days before your appointment and have even contacted me in advance to notify me that the office would be closed due to an incoming snowstorm.

I had a nice experience (as one could get at the dentist). Being my first time to the dentist post-COVID, I was interested to see how a visit to the office changed. I felt comfortable and safe the entire time. The waiting room was clean and beautifully designed. At most the waiting room was me and another patient. The staff was friendly and considerate. The rooms and technology were new. Everyone wore masks and during the cleaning, there was a cool vacuum machine that collected particles in the air. Dr. Khan and his great assistant provided clear explanations and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend this practice and look forward to my next visit.

Just had my first appointment with them and everything was so great from the cleanliness of the place to the kindness of the staff. The dentist was very knowledgable and was telling me everything she was using and what it does. They let me know if anything was extra if not covered by my insurance which I very much appreciated. Any questions I had were answered honestly. Loved this place and it’s so amazing because it’s in my neighborhood, has late nights and weekend, and also the parking lot is a big plus as well! Can’t say enough good things about this office! So happy I made an appointment here and they’re my new dentist from now on!

Easy to find and public transportation also easy. Very clean and professional office and rooms. Staff friendly and very professional. Two of the staff members speak Spanish so for me it was a good thing because I go between speaking both languages when I am nervous. They make you feel comfortable and informed of each process. The Dr Mills was very nice and also provide good information. I truly like it when a doctor can be clear and informative. Look forward to my next visit to the this dental office, I feel confident that they will continue to do a great job on my teeth and continue with improving my smile!

This was one of the best dental experiences I have ever had and I am someone that does not like going to the dentist. Everyone was super nice, they explained everything that was going to take place and ensured my comfort and safety with covid precautions. And on top of all of that, everyone who attended to me was either black or POC. I have never been to a dental office with staff, including the dentist, that weren't white. It was very empowering to experience!! I am so happy I found this place and have already recommended it to a friend!

This was my first time here and it was a pleasure! I had a cleaning with Nancy who was so sweet, kind and funny. She walked me through everything! Showed me my pictures and explained everything. Dr. Lee was also kind and nice. The team was diligent. The process at the front desk was also a breeze and the receptionist was very kind. I have to go back for some treatments and the receptionist printed out what my out of pocket costs may look like after the procedures which I’ve never seen before! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Amazing start to finish! I made an appointment for myself and my 6 year old daughter. For starters Dr Suri was incredible, I always hated getting a cleaning done because it was always painful, she was extremely gentle didn’t feel a thing, she listened to me and answered all of my questions, never felt rushed. My daughter loved her . The girls that took my X-rays were great! super friendly and professional wish I had their names. Place was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. This will be my new Dental office! :)

Absolutely came in clutch! I had been dealing with a horrendous deterioration of my tooth. A really bad infection had developed and the pin was unbearable. Covenant took me on as a new patient and penciled me in for an appointment a couple of hours later. The office was really lovely, and the staff were very welcoming. After a few shots of local anesthesia, that tooth finally came out! I don’t know how I could’ve gone on without their help. Thankfully they were also in-network when taking my insurance!

Front office staff was courteous and friendly. Excellent environment, beautiful office with state of the art technology. Felt more like a studio lounge than a dental office which helped to put me at eas. I have high sensitivity to pain during cleanings so I was really nervous about the visit but the Hygenist Melissa and Dr. Mills went above an beyond anything I could have imagined!!! I've been to dental offices in Manhattan that were not as beuatiful as this one - A real gem in the Bronx!!!

Clean and modern facility. This was my first visit.The Service was good, Oral Suegeon is great assistant was great,, the x-ray Tech seem agitated and rude when I expressed concerns about the x-ray, my husband and I had tooth extracted, the front desk took the pharmacy info, but never called a prescription for us. She was more concerned how we where paying.We where sent home with no meds and no instructions how to care for our gums. We still need dental care, maybe 5 Stars next visit.

Nancy, the hygienist, explained each procedure in detail and she was super knowledgeable and gave me great advice in terms of dental heath and preventative care. Dr lee was so approachable and his demeanor made him easy to speak with. Most dental offices I’ve been to have not been the most pleasant experience for me. The customer service is 5 stars from the front desk receptionist Ashley to the end of service… I had a cleaning done today, the Hygienist was wonderful very informative and careful in her technique… the consultation with the doctor was amazing it was not rushed and all of my questions and concerns answered… I will be coming back to address my issues and I have scheduled appts. For my girls. My experience was far beyond of what I expected, very pleased.

I’ve been going here for some years now and every time I’m never disappointed. From when I entered I was greeted by Ashley and promptly checked in. I was brought to the back where () the hygienist took her time to painlessly clean my teeth. She gave me pointers on solutions to my issues. The dentist checked out my teeth and explained my X-rays. Then I was back at the front scheduling my next appointment. It was quick and easy. About 40 minutes total.

They were very helpful and very attentive. I booked an appointment at the last minute because I was in pain. They were professional and courtesy. The location has parking which is convenient. The place is small but has update technology. I was able to see my xrays clearly and i asked a lot of questions before i left. THEY HAD PATIENCE! It smells like a dentist when u walk in but it's really nice inside. They explain the process as they examined.

Yazmin was amazing. Help me through my process. Asked me questions about my self what I like and don’t like.Educated me on the process on how it goes. Recommended me options on how to go about it and I was able to make a comfortable choice. Yazmin does an amazing job in her role at this location and I highly recommend everyone to go see her for any questions concerns and appointments with your teeth. What an amazing experience. Today, 2/15/18, was my first visit here at the Throggs Neck Mall. The staff was very courteous, prompt and professional. The dental hygienist (Shazan) and Dr. Patel were very patient, courteous and professional as well. They took their time and listen to me. I did not feel like they rushed to get me out of the office. Everything was explained in detail for my next visit and the reason why. Great experience! Will tell my friends and family.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I feel like I need to. The practice is High tech, clean and has a super friendly atmosphere. Emanuel and the front desk staff are excellent! Energetic, professional and helpful. Dr. Mills is warm, kind and knowledgeable. Great bedside manner. Natalie the hygienist is gentle, and very kind. She makes you feel very comfortable and at home. I am a patient as well as my children. Always a good experience.

So happy with my appointment I had here today. Everyone in here from the ladies up front to the dentist made me feel less nervous and everyone explained everything so clear and concise. There was an error with my appointment on zocdoc and I arrived late and they were STILL able to accommodate me. One big thing I noticed was everyone’s smiles and warmth. They have a lifetime patient with me doesn’t get much better than Covenant.

Staff at this dentist office are very polite, professional and are really concerned on your wellbeing. During the surgery I was continually asked on my comfort of pain if any. I thought this was very kind of to ask me, especially being that I’m afraid of dental work. Because of this I look forward to my future appointments without fear. I was extremely happy with my mothers visit which she needed to have tooth extraction. I was able to get same day visit . The staff was Very pleasant and the doctor had a wonderful Personality was very pleasant and understanding to my mothers condition. As I just happened to pick this facility through fast Search it exceeded all expectations ! We will be permanent patients here . Very satisfied!

Had a great experience at Covenant Dentistry today. My first time doing a bit of cosmetics, got dermal fillers placed on my cheeks. The procedure was quick and painless. Dr. Friedman is such a wonderful person, super kind. During my consultation was able to discuss the natural younger look I am trying to achieve. Definitely going back for some Botox and teeth whitening.

All jokes asside, my first time visit was comforting, quick, and easy. It was to extract a wisdom tooth. Hands down one of the best dentist office ive been to in the bronx. Friendly and outgoing staff. Will be back for all of my dental needs. I used to avoid the dentist because of how scary it could be but now im actually looking forward for my next appointment. #facts

I had a cleaning done today by Melissa, and she was totally AWESOME!!!! I have had bad experiences with getting my teeth cleaned in the past, but Melissa was gentle, and I never felt any pain. Dr. Mills and the rest of the staff were WONDERFUL! They answered all my questions with respect and professionalism! Thank you Covenant Dental team, you guys are the BEST!

I have terrible anxiety and avoid the dentist at any cost. Nancy the dental hygienist was a God sent. She completely put me out at ease that I forgot that I had anxiety lol I appreciate her and grateful that she was there. She was so gentle and my teeth look great! It was an easy registration process, the dental visit was detailed and comprehensive. Overall it was a great experience. I was seen at the time of my appointment with little wait time in the waiting area. Love the cleanness of the clinic and the friendly and welcoming staff. The waiting area also has a special touch of a calling aroma.

I was having extreme tooth pain and every place I called either did not take my insurance or didn’t have availability. This office took my insurance, and got me in right away! The entire staff were all friendly, very clean and very accommodating! I already made a follow up appointment and scheduled one for my husband and 2 year old!

I took my grandma here and she had the best dental experience. The staff and office manager Ashley were very attentive and welcoming. Dr. Richardson and assistant Selina were very gentle and although there was a language barrier between Dr.Richardson and my grandma he tried his best to communicate with her as much as he could.

Nancy/Hygienist was excellent. She is very friendly and professional. After X-rays and cleaning, which was superb, she explained everything in detail. Dr. Richardson was also excellent. His exam was very thorough and he made me feel very comfortable. He was very kind and patient. I highly recommend this team of professionals.

I have been visiting Covenant Dentistry for a few years now and I must say the staff ALWAYS goes above and beyond to educate and make me feel comfortable. Very professional and helpful front desk staff. The assistant who took exrays was great and very friendly. Doctor is excellent. Gave me his recommendations and at no time did I feel pressured into any particular option. I'm not a big fan of the dentist in general but I will definitely be returning here for routine cleaning.

My husband and I had a great experience at this place, the moment you step inside you feel the ambiance. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this office, the reception and assistants Selena and Yazmin were all pleasant and made me feel comfortable (it was my first time at the dentist in years!) Dr. Richards is attentive, caring, and easygoing. Got a thorough cleaning and good advice on how to take care of my teeth going forward.

I love everything about this place! I got my teeth cleaned by Nancy and she is very thorough! She truly cares for her patient's dental health and gives lots of tips. I have never been to such a clean, totally modern, up to date with medical equipment dental office as this one. The staff was amazing. Everyone was kind, considerate and very understanding. There is such a calmness that helps you feel very comfortable from the moment you walk in. It was an excellent experience.

Very good customer service and Dr. Mills is the best I tell you . First dentist in a years I’ve been to and got work done and don’t have pain during or after and that is a major plus for me, because I am not a fan of dentist at all.. the office is also clean sanitize. And the office is very nice which is plus.

This is my second time coming for work. This time was for extraction. It was different. First the wait was long and the doctor address me as if I was a man. He good but needs to work on his bedside manner. They should invest on ear plug to help make drown out the noisy. I know I would have love some of those.

I went to Dental 365 for my routine cleaning and absolutely love it! It’s very clean and I love how up to date they are with digital X-rays and photos of the teeth. Very happy with the staff, the whole office staff is super friendly. Dr. Richardson is caring and experienced. I highly recommend this office!

No one looks forward to more dental work but if it has to be done, this is a good place. Plenty of parking!! A big plus!

The front desk staff and dentist team in this office is great, but the hygienist Nancy really made me feel at home with the work she did on my teeth. I am a Nervous Nelly at the dentist. The people at the front desk are pleasant, professional and automatically put you at ease. I saw Dr. Richardson who was able to calm my fears. The waiting room and exam rooms are clean. I will be going back and also making an appointment for my husband.

I initially wrote a great review about this dental office until I received a bill for 700 dollars from my insurance company when the front desk staff informed me that after what I paid out of pocket, I would only receive a bill for 26 dollars. Absolutely ridiculous and money hungry

Yesterday was my first time at this location & they were phenomenal from start to finish. Everyone was incredibly kind & personable from the front office staff to the dentist himself. The registration process online and setting up an appointment were seamless too.
