Edit: August 2021 After years of making the trip and being happy with the service, things started to change. My husband and I were booked in for simultaneous appointments and then they needed to reschedule. Things happen, so I was willing to forgive and forget. Then, I get a call two weeks before our appointments saying that Dr. Lee won't be able to do a check-up but they assumed we would be ok with still just coming in for a cleaning. I let the receptionist know that my husband was having some issues with his wisdom teeth and would need to see Dr. Lee. However, because of a move out of town, we would be happy to take appointments on different days. As it happened, they were able to see my husband the next day because of a cancellation! Great! But there were apparently no appointments at all for me. I didn't need my appointment urgently, so I could wait, but only for so long. Several days later, I get a call to confirm an appointment for me. Four days before my scheduled appointment, I get a voicemail saying that Dr. Lee will be leaving the office before my appointment time so they won't be able to do a dental check-up. They hope that I'm ok to just do my cleaning but could reschedule if I want to. Why on earth would I chose to reschedule again when I can almost guarantee that I won't see the dentist? Sad to have to leave to find another dentist, but I don't have the patience for these games anymore. I do not recommend that you try this clinic unless you have a completely open schedule and are ok to regularly reschedule check-ups. Just had the best experience with Dentistry @ Bank! After a terrible experience with my long-time former dentist, I was nervous about going to another dental clinic. However, Hannah at the front desk was so welcoming and accommodating (I wanted to book appointments for myself and my husband at the same time in the early morning and she made it happen). Alicia did an exceptional job on the cleaning (especially since I had three years' worth of plaque buildup)! Dr. Lee is so warm, kind, and professional. I love how honest he is and how far he goes to give the very best care to his patients! If you're looking for a dentist in the Alta Vista area, I highly recommend checking out Dentistry @ Bank!

The best money I have honestly ever spent and the best cosmetic dentist and experience I have ever had. A rating of five stars seriously does not do Dr. Lee justice. About 9 years ago I had gotten my braces of four years removed and absolutely loved my smile, however I had bonding on four teeth that I knew was going to change colour over time due to staining. I fought with myself over and over again on how my teeth were perfectly straight but colour and shape of these teeth (being bulky) was a huge bother to me still. After seeing Dr. Lee and having a consult I decided to go through with getting whitening and veneers done on my top teeth. It was the best decision I have ever made. The entire process for myself took about 4 weeks; whitening, molds, temporary teeth, the lab, and the finale. I have never felt so happy and beautiful about my smile and about my appearance in my entire life. I know getting veneers can be a hard decision for some but Dr. Lee and staff made this decision and process so easy and reassuring. The shape and the colour of my teeth is impeccable. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for cosmetic dental work. I am extremely picky when it comes to beauty because I am pursing my career in that field, and I trust Dr. Lee and staff beyond words. The amount of compliments I get about my smile/teeth is insane..I kid you not when I say I get complimented on my smile/teeth about once at least a day. Dr. Lee not only knows what looks best as he is able to make fantastic recommendations BUT he still allowed me to have a say on what shape I was looking for and how white I wanted to go etc. to me that is an extremely important quality to have and look for in a cosmetic dentist and that is why I recommend Dr. Lee. Having guidance but being able to still have comfort in knowing that YOU can have a say on the outcome of your cosmetic work that is being done is beyond important. It has been since July 2019 that I have had my veneers and every time I look in the mirror I am so forever thankful and happy with the work done. I visited Dr. Lee for a second quote and opinion for a tooth in need of a root canal, and I am so glad I did so! Compared to my previous dentist, Dr. Lee takes the time to explain everything and educate me, so that I understand everything that is going on, which is so important to me. I couldn't even get a straight explanation from my previous dentist about which tooth were getting fillings and which ones were old fillings being redone, let alone why. Dr. Lee used more and better diagnostic tests to try and find out what was going on with my tooth, so that in the end I felt much more comfortable with his opinion about my issues. The technology used in the office is also a lot more up to date than at my previous office, and the entire staff I have met so far is so helpful and considerate. Setting the follow up appointments was a breeze, and the estimate for the needed work was cheaper than at my previous clinic. Finally, the root canal itself! Although I was nervous beforehand, I was reassured and it was indeed painless. I felt less discomfort than when undergoing previous fillings! Dr. Lee continuously checked in with me about how I was doing, explaining what he was doing, and warning me when I might feel something, so that as soon as I experienced the very briefest, lightest of discomfort, he provided instant relief and my treatment continued on entirely pain free. Loved the little piece of (rubber?) used to rest your jaw on while keeping your mouth open, it is the first time I do not have a sore jaw after a treatment. I will not be nervous about having treatment ever again! :-) Dr. Lee seems to care about his patients' wellbeing and making sure they are empowered to remain healthy. I'm very impressed so far, and mostly, very relieved!

This review is long overdue, if I could fit a full-length dissertation as a google review, I would. The dental assistants, hygienists and receptionists are absolutely wonderful, you can tell Dr. Lee cares a lot about his team. It’s an understatement to say Dr. Lee saved my teeth. I first went in after developing severe pain and an infection on my front tooth, Dr. Lee knew right away I’d need a two part root canal - this was the first time I’ve ever needed one. Since I was very frantic, Dr. Lee was extremely reassuring throughout the whole process, walking me through what was happening and was very positive - this made all the difference, Dr. Lee gave me his contact info if the swelling didn’t go down. I came back for part 2 of the root canal after a round of antibiotics and both the assistant and Dr. Lee were very positive, played some music during the procedure (this made a world of a difference). I left that day with a Oral B spin brush on the house. :) I came back to repair several other teeth, including a series of fillings that were done by an OLD dentist which were done very poorly, causing a lot of issues. Dr. Lee fixed them all up and took his time to do it correctly. Due to the damage cause by my old dentist, one of the fillings came off after a bit (I’m a grinder). Since the damage was deep, he did a double layered filling to ensure it holds. Since Dr. Lee had repaired it several months earlier, fixing it was completely free!! Hearing this was very reassuring as I had recently left my full time job due to health issues, it was that moment I was so glad I chose this dentist. Thank you so much to the whole team! - Maddie

I don't think there is anyone out there who is more afraid of having to go to the dentist as I am. I had to do a root canal at Dr. Lee's office and I'd like to share my experience in hopes that it will help others like myself and ease their worries a little. My first appointment with Dr. Lee was just a generic xray and cleaning. Even just a cleaning is enough to make me extremely anxious. Once I got there, I had told Dr. Lee and his team I get really anxious at the dentist and they really took this into consideration from beginning to end. They were professional, gentle and really gave me a sense of comfort that I hadn't felt at a dental office before. A week later I chipped my tooth and was told I had to do a root canal! Leading up to my appointment I was extremely nervous and anxious as per usual. When I got there Dr. Lee helped ease my worries by telling me some comforting facts about performing a root canal then he reassured me it's not too different from a regular filling. The entire procedure was nothing like I had imagined. I'm not sure if it's the cutting edge technology that he uses or Dr. Lee himself, or both but the procedure was indeed painless. Dr. Lee would talk to me during the procedure and cracked jokes from time to time and it really made the entire experience not only tolerable but positive. I just got back from my third appointment today with Dr. Lee and guess what, I didn't feel nervous or anxious leading up to my appointment and to no surprise, my visit was painless once again. If you are someone like myself, I highly recommend this dental office.

I would highly recommend Dr Lee to anybody that I know About thre e be months ago went to a dentist office and was told I needed to get 28 to extract I was hesitant to do so . Thankfully I was recommended to go see Dr. Lee for a second opinion, I didn’t think I was able to keep my teeth, but I can sure say, I am glad I went for that second opinion, as I can not put in words how much Dr Lee has helped me through this process before this. I had not been to a dentist in over 15 years due to fear. Throughout my visit to Dr Lee explain procedures to me, and would not start anything until I understood it was OK with the process I’m a person that has a huge fear of needles and I can say that employees here will do everything they can to make you feel comfortable I’ve had over 12 cavities fixed. I’ve had one root canal and two extractions as someone that used to have a fear of dentures I can say, without a benefit of the doubt that have no fear going to see Dr Lee, knowing I will leave their pleased and pain-free to put it in perspective my last visit was a root canal. I was falling asleep during the process I could not feel a single thing the atmosphere was calm relax quiet in the staff is extremely friendly. I cannot put it in perspective how much I am thankful for Dr Lee and his employees. As without them. I feared today I wouldn’t be writing this, but instead be crying at home with a denture. My experience at this clinic has been outstanding. I haven’t been to the dentist for a true oral health exam in more than maybe 10 years and needless to say I had a lot of work ahead of me. Dr. Lee was direct yet compassionate in every exam, and made sure I was comfortable with each procedure along the way. I had several fillings that were completed over two separate visits. Scheduling these appointments was made easy by the excellent staff and they were very accommodating. We managed to spread the work out so the first visit was in 2019 and the second in 2020, taking full advantage of my insurance. The patient coordination was exceptional, and their knowledge of my insurance coverage was really impressive and comforting. I really felt like I was in good hands. One thing I’d like to point out as well was some of the cosmetic dentistry that was performed. I had stains on my front teeth and white blotches that I was self-conscious about and Dr. Lee had them taken care of within 20 minutes of the second appointment. I feel more confident with my smile and I’m really grateful for his professionalism and expertise.

Grew up absolutely hating going to the dentist but now that I've become a patient here that has completely changed. When I came to Ottawa and was looking for a new dentist I admittedly was very skeptical of how well this place was rated but once I had my first appointment here it was very apparent why. Dr. Lee and his whole team are so amazing. The atmosphere is easy going and fun, I always feel heard and always given options about my care that are well explained. You will never feel pushed into treatment and the ball is always in your court with no judgement. They provide great care on all levels. I have extremely sensitive teeth to the point that I can't handle the water/air spray or the ultrasonic scaler. The hygienist hand scales my teeth and always make sure I am comfortable. From my regular preventative care to my more major root canal work, I trust them completely. Overall they are great humans and great at what they do. I've moved around Ottawa and will continue to drive as far as necessary to come here. I'm always happy to recommend Dr. Lee to anyone who asks :)

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Lee for several years and the quality of care and service has always been exceptional. The entire team is incredibly kind, friendly, and knowledgeable and the dental clinic is modern, well equipped, and welcoming. Dr. Lee explains the procedures to his patients thoroughly and he is genuinely caring and considerate of the patients' needs and wellbeing. As a student aspiring to pursue a career in the medical field, Dr. Lee kindly gave me the opportunity to shadow him. I am greatly appreciative and grateful that he took time out of his busy schedule to explain the details regarding both the medical and business sides of dentistry. Through my shadowing experience, I have gained a deeper appreciation and understanding of the career and it has inspired me to pursue my undergraduate studies in biomedical science. Let me preface this review by saying I have always absolutely hated going to the dentist. Because of this, I had neglected my teeth for too long and I knew that there was an underlying issue that needed diagnosis. Luckily I stumbled upon Dr. Lee and his team. His facilities are clean and modern, his staff are friendly and engaging, there seems to be no air of stuffiness that I've felt in almost every other medical setting I've been in, and my appointments have been on time. He takes the time to explain everything concisely and honestly and during my (two-part) root canal, him and his assistant constantly ensured I was comfortable, applying more freezing as needed. His front-office staff are very helpful with my litany of questions both in-person and on the phone and billing my benefits was quick and seamless. I don't think I'll ever enjoy having dental work done on me, but Dr. Lee and his team have certainly made the experience far less daunting.

I received great services at this dental office! Dr. Melvin Lee and his staff are a very welcoming team. On my first visit, I felt very comfortable being there. The high influx of positive reviews lead me to visit this clinic and I agree with others, this is a great dental office to attend regularly :) The staff were excellent and the dental clinic was clean with modern equipment. The clerks at the front desk were welcoming and knowledgeable about my insurance policy. The staff were very punctual, my appointment started and ended the time I was given. Pam was great at doing my x-rays and conversing with; we had a couple of laughs and Alicia did a spectacular job on cleaning and polishing my teeth. She was so gentle. Thank you all! Dr.Lee has been mine and my mothers dentist for years and not only has he made sure to take care of our oral health but as well he checks in on us to see how we’re doing and truly make us feel like family! I recently had a root canal that I was extremely anxious for, unfortunately Dr.Lee’s first attempt at the root canal was unsuccessful due to unforeseen circumstances. However, the second time around he made sure I was comfortable, explained what he was doing and repeatedly made sure I was doing okay. Dr.Lee and his team reassured me every step of the way that I would feel nothing and sure enough they were right! I recently had a root canal with Dr. Lee and want to share what a great experience it was. Dr. Lee was fantastic each step of the way - from explaining what would be involved, to suggesting links for me to do my own reading prior to the appointment, to making sure I was comfortable throughout the whole procedure. I felt absolutely no pain - he numbs your gums with a gel to start so you don't even feel him freezing! Afterwards my tooth ache immediately disappeared. Despite being a physician myself who is quite comfortable around needles, the thought of a root canal made me very anxious. Dr. Lee made sure the process was smooth and relaxing, and I am very happy that I went through with it. I would highly recommend him for any of your dental care needs.

I've had Dr. Lee as my dentist for a long, long time (so long I can't even recall, but it was before they moved to the new location), and he is fantastic! I've always had a great experience with Dr. Lee and the hygienists and administrative staff who work with him, to the point where I look forward to my cleanings (unusual, I know). The office itself is wonderful, always impeccably clean and organized, and I've never experienced any wait times when I show up for a scheduled cleaning (I do tend to go early though). I recommend anyone looking for a new dentist give this place a shot, and I promise you'll never look back.

Had been visiting this practice even before Dr. Lee took over (many years ago now) and it has been really impressive to see how he has modernised the facility and treatment over the years. I am probably a difficult patient - I get really anxious around medical offices - but am always treated graciously and made to feel comfortable. The hygienists are so good I could fall asleep in my chair. After a few years abroad I had a filling repaired today and was genuinely amazed how quick, easy and uninvasive the process was. They have a good thing going here, would absolutely recommend it to friends.

Dr. Lee and his dental team have been absolutely amazing! I had a terrible experience at my last dentist and Dr. Lee has been so considerate and understanding. He has gone above and beyond any dental professional I have ever had! He takes the time to talk about concerns and shows in detail what you need done or what x-rays show so you know exactly what to expect. Amazing work. Like magic! I went in for a repair as some very old filling fell off (done years ago by another dentist) from one of my front teeth. I expected an off-colour patch or some sort and to be in and out in 10 minutes. But I couldn’t be more wrong. Dr Lee took his time, went into great lengths to work on the details. Used a dozen of different tools and various materials, turned out the filling is completely unnoticeable and the colour blended in perfectly. You simply can’t have that kind of result unless you are passionate about your work. Thank you so much Dr. Lee!

I have been going to Dr. Lee for nearly 10 years, and even though it's now an hour drive for me, I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else. Dr. Lee designed and implemented a custom treatment for my TMJ issues that previous dentists and doctors had been unable to resolve. His commitment to my treatment plan led to life-changing improvements in my jaw. I would highly recommend him. Also, Pat at the front desk is amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable about my insurance coverages. And, last but not least, Alicia (my hygienist), is amazing, I won't let anyone clean my teeth.

My recent visit to Dr. Lee's office has changed my fears about going to the dentist. From the time I met the receptionist, to the doctor's assistant to meeting with Dr. Lee, I felt a calmness that I had never felt before when visiting a dentist - each person was welcoming and extremely professional. Dr. Lee has been a fantastic dentist for my family over the past 10 years. He is incredibly friendly and patient with babies, toddlers and children. My boys have seen Dr. Lee since age 1 and actually enjoy going to the dentist. Today we went for a first cavity filling for my 7 year old. The team members invite parents into the room and talk through every step to ease any anxiety. Dr. Lee has a great sense of humour and excellent bedside manner. The entire staff make trips to the dentist a positive experience. I highly recommend!

I started seeing Dr. Lee since 2009 and he is the most definitely the best dentist that I have ever saw. His honesty with me when it came to procedures is first and foremost priority and he has a fantastic and kind bedside manner, not just with me, but with other patients that I see in his office. I had my first appointment with Dr. Lee today and it was a wonderful experience. His staff went out of their way to organize my insurance in advance which made my time at the office very easy. The dental hygienist Alicia was great - my teeth have never felt cleaner :-). Dr. Lee was the first dentist I have had who focuses on preventative care, which I really appreciate. Not only was he thorough and thoughtful but really nice and easy going as well.

I recently saw Dr. Lee by referral from another dental specialist. Dr. Lee is amazing as are all the staff at his practice. Open and honest consultation from all staff before any work is performed. He was patient and answered all my questions. He was proactive in getting me an appointment with a dental surgeon in just a few days. I honestly cannot say enough good about this practice. I have my dentist for life.

Dr. Lee and his team have been my families dentist for over 10 years. Dr. Lee specifically did major work on my teeth after I was in a bad car accident. My teeth are as good as new! Got my first root canal yesterday and it was completely painless and I was so at ease I almost fell asleep. Dr. Lee constantly checked to see if I was doing okay throughout the procedure and did such a quick and thorough job, I was able to go back to work right after with almost no discomfort besides the numbing from the local anesthetic. I received great service and would recommend Dr. Lee!

This guy is like a high presure used car sales person. If you are not into transplants or crowns he has no interest in talking to you. He has trained his higienist to over look things like cavities. Then he comes in and has a quick look and says he can't see anything,however you may consider crowns and leaves. I have had my cavity repaired else where. I would not recommend this guy to anyone

Every member of this team is friendly and professional. My cleaning started right on time and the hygienist was careful and very thorough. Dr. Lee was great, he was very attentive and willing to spend time to answer questions. He took his time to explain any concerns he found during his examination and provided me with helpful feedback. I felt very well taken care of at this clinic.

At the recommendation of my wife, I had my first appointment with Dr. Lee November 22, 2021. He and his staff came across professionally, he was on time and the appointment took less than planned. After a dental examination he told me my teeth did not need any work except for one tooth that was in a rough shape and needed refilling. I appreciated his honesty and humility.

Great place to go for your dental problems. I went to Dentistry@Bank for my first ever root canal. I have always been really scared of dentists and was scared of any dental procedure. But Dr. Lee and his staff made it such a great experience, completely painless. Also, all the staff is super friendly. Definitively recommended.

Went in for a root canal today, and was admittedly a little nervous since it was my first time getting major dental work done. But they made the experience quite enjoyable, I was informed when I was going to feel discomfort, and I never felt any pain during the procedure. I would definitely recommend this clinic.
