Good Gym. It lacks the brute bars (the one that has the knurling in the middle) currently there are only 3 (as time of writing January 2023). These are specifically made for squats and deadlifts. The rest of the bars are for olympic powerlifting and has too much flex when doing heavy deadlifts and squats. My routine when entering is to always find one of these bars as I mostly do the 3 big lifts (squat, bench and deadlift). Other than that, amazing gym with heaps of equipment. I love that there are a lot of squat racks (although at peak time, finding an empty one might be a challenge). Friendly staff who always greet you when entering and leaving. Toilets and other facilities are also well kept. Adequate punching bags as well as a mini ring. Also offers classes. If you have the luxury, come at off peak as this is quite popular in the area. Heaps of parking too.

charging customers when in lockdown my last payment was 26 may and the closing of gyms was 27th since then your debit team are harassing me saying i owe over 40 something dollars no ones replying to emails or voice messages no reply what so ever 3 weeks gyms have been closed and who knows for how much longer and its very unfair you are charging members for something we cannot access. This is for non reginal gyms which are still closed and management hasn't done anything our even solved or reimbursed customers just stealing money off everyone really not happy with the gym and the services and i know of many who are not happy either with all the money that's been taken out of everyone's accounts .Also there hasn't been any offers for online classes so I'm pretty sure what you guys are doing is against the law .

Musics shocking, half the time there’s nothing even playing and it’s just a silent gym. Kids at the front are too glued to their phones and can’t even greet or even look at you as you scan in. Never see anyone going around sorting out the plates or the dumbbells not even try manage it. All the d handles have knots tied in them so none of them match up and doesn’t even seem like management try to enforce anything against people doing it. One of the leg extension seats has been broken for over 6 months, you can’t move it backwards or forwards. Needs a few more adjustable benches that people can move around to use on smiths machines and cables as majority of them are bolted to the floor. A tbar row machine would be a really good thing to have, not sure why they got rid of it.

Would give half star if I could...they change classes without notice even get their sometimes to be told the class has been cancelled on numerous occasions..which is a huge inconvenience as I have to organize my kids just to get their on time and get told that.tryd asking for my contract to be terminated free of charge which I think is fare as I can no longer make morning classes which was the sole purpose of signing up due to them changing class to nights with no advanced notice at all ..but no no no they want their 150 first totally different people after signing contract.just beware of this because they wont tel you before signing contract

Definitely offering the best prices for memberships currently and seem to have classes available as apart of the membership. Will be checking this gym out more, as I am currently seeking a regular routine to getting a bit more healthy and fitter. The facility is huge and has a great range of updated equipment. Also female gym area, spin class area and separate private room for classless and self training. Friendly customer service. A great range of equipment. Ideal for the gym enthusiast. Supplements supplies available for purchase. PT also available. Ample parking.

I moved to the area and started at this gym and found it to have loads of equipment, space and no waiting on equipment which for me is a bonus. I have been a member for a number of years at other gyms in particular good life,fitness first, zap, crunch fitness and find derrimut to be the better gym if you are a regular and serious about strength training. Gym is clean and staff are friendly. It also has a separate ladies gym which is nice for first time ladies who are a little intimidated with joining a gym or just for ladies that prefer to have their own space.

Fantastic gym. Lots of equipment to choose from, massive gym. Also one of only a handful of gyms that are manned 24-7; not that you'd see them around the gym but whenever you need someone is there at the front counter. The main thing they could improve on is music - shocking playlist. All remixes and that often ruins songs. No proper songs to listen to at least on all the days I've been there...6/9 days since I started going there. Only one or 2 clock watches near the front. You end up checking your phone or need a wrist watch.

Good choice of equipment, only downside is always pretty packed. Went today with a friend to go to the body pump class at pakenham. We were waiting around thinking what is going on. Look on the wall and there's a timesheet for the classes that is different to the one on their website and on their app. I went and asked the lady st the front and she didn't know anything at all! Really dissaapointed. If anything the website and app should be kept up to date as that's where majority of people go to look at what classes are on.

Signed up for the $1 per day membership. It's been a positive experience thus far. Great deal btw. It would be nice to see the hand dryer in the boys bathroom fixed. Quite a few people have mentioned the big space next to the front window has been empty for quite some time. Perhaps a socialisation area with Couches or do something creative to utilise the space. A stretching area, a something aha However since my last membership 2 years ago, there's much more gym equipment.

Great gym equipment with alright customer service however Andreas specifically has been a great help to me. I am new to the gym and am still learning and he always comes and helps me even off shift and is very nice and polite. People like Andreas make the gym community a better place and he deserves special recognition. Thanks, man, for helping me and allowing me to grow and improve at the gym you're such a positive influence on everyone.

At the dawn of the sun, I’m unceasingly greeted by an exuberant, effervescent individual whom I believe is best known as Pavan. Similarly, when I frequent this particular exercise recreational facility in the dusk; a jolly, tantalising figure by the alias of Harley is consistently present to welcome me into the establishment with arms wide open. My indebtedness for this accomodating embrace by the aforementioned personnel is interminable.

Specific shout-out to Andreas who leads the customer service team with enthusiasm and professionalism going above and beyond front desk duties. Other front desk staff would do well to mirror his work ethic, excitement and customer skills. Gym well equipped, super clean (cleaners there are amazing) and well stocked with supliments. The promo events are fun and inviting. The music is the only let down. WELCOME NEW YEAR CROWD!!

I have tried to get a response from the gym over the past four months due to the gym closer with no success. I have sent two emails with no response. The Pakenham gym website phone number has been disconnected for at least the past four months. Gym has good weight lifting equipment. Average fight equipment. Some staff are friendly. One refused to show me how to operate the programme on the electronic bike.

An amazing gym that I’ve been training in for over 5 years now! The music is great, equipment is also great however could do with some new machines. Every worker and even the manager Belinda is very welcoming and super friendly however one girl who I’ve seen work in the mornings never acknowledges members when they walk in and out of the gym… Pretty disappointing when everyone is so friendly generally.

What a great gym locally, in my opinion, it could be better. All my family and I go there. I have had nothing but a positive experience, both with the staff at this gym, and I made some superb friends over the last 2 years. Remember, we are all in it to build a better version of ourselves 2.0. Have that positive mindset and get off your phone. Please put your weight away after use and don't be a tool.

A very well equipped gym that would suit any fitness enthusiast. Reception staff are friendly and personable. It’s nice to be greeted with a smile and by name, upon entry. The cleaning staff..led by Vicki the little pocket rocket dynamo, do an outstanding job. Vicki is the heart of this gym and all patrons respect and appreciate her attention to detail, care and concern for all members. ❤️

Went to the club for the first time and got greeted by a young lady that looked like didn’t want to be there at all. Asked for a tour as it was my first time there and she replied ‘ I guess so’ in a tone that she could not be bothered at all. I actually ended up getting crook there and had no idea where the toilets were! She should not be working in customer service at all.

Love this gym. I have been coming to the gym for over eight years and have just joined up for another year. Have been on holidays for the last six weeks and using different gyms on my holidays. Can’t believe how filthy dirty some of the gyms I have used are. It was lovely to come back to gym at Derrimut at Pakenham and no the place was going to be spotlessly clean.

Huge gym with more than enough equipment, even at peak times it's not overcrowded or uncomfortable. Helpful staff and priced really well. I was a bit nervous about starting here as i'm in pretty poor shape, so I messaged Jeryn one of the personal trainers and signed up. I've received nothing but encouragement, advice, and great training here :) Highly recommend.

Cannot pay their own staff the superannuation they are entitled too. Still fighting to get what me and others are owed. Wouldn't work for this company ever again. 20/7/21 - still no super from them, it's been sent to the ATO and all money they pay will go to those waiting on their superannuation meaning if Derrimut accrual any debt this will keep increasing.

The best gym in the area so far in terms of the space, weights and machines. The best part is no aircon on the hot days, which help burn some calories and others stay at a distance coz you are sweating like a pig. Apart from that great staff, cool atmosphere, ample of parking and a fun vibe. Oops forgot to mention great rates and it's ALWAYS open.

Great gym, i love that you can go in at any time but my only problem was that it started to cost 15$ per casual visit which is just absurd. I used to go atleast 3times a week but stopped completely because thats way too much. Ive started working so i might come back because i really like this gym but the increase felt unnecessary from my POV

Great gym with good people. I lost my car keys during a workout and some absolutely legend gave them to the front desk! Only issue is the renovation that is long overdue to be done. No progress has been made after the floor was polished and epoxied. All the machines being close together can be frustrating when there during peak times.

Huge gym, lots of machines and, apart from very busy times, it's very rare that you're unable to get the machine you want. Very friendly staff (24/7), reasonably priced (especially if you sign up during a sale). My only complaint is the womens section, which could (and should) have been used as space for everybody.

I have only just joined this gym. The boxing classes with Bec and John are so amazing- I highly recommend people giving these classes a go. Unfortunately the boxing class run by Eddy is not worth going to. I had a person who hadn’t boxed before partner with me and Eddy did not help her out at all.

One of my favourite gyms to go to with great facilities all round. BUT it has by far the worst music of any gym ive been to and make i worse its played so loud you have raise your voice just so your spotter can here you. Definate 5 stars if double dropped some flips before training

After cancelling my membership an year ago they are still taking money out of my account. I called them several times and a staff by the name of shavan said go do whatever you want I even said it's stealing from clients. He didn't care to help.VCAT needs to know about this gym

A large variety of equipment and the fact that its open and staffed 24/7 makes for a great local gym. However, the price increases to $10 per entry basically forces you to get a membership. At least they have a couple of membership options, and it's not too pricey.

Amazingly clean during the week. Great job Vicky you are there every morning and the ladies is spotless and the gym is always stocked with paper towels and spray. Thank you, working out at Derrimut Pakenham is enjoyable knowing what a fantastic job you are doing.

Great gym with extensive range of equipment as well as classes. Machines are always nice and clean. Great selection of protein powders and other supplements. Not to mention they have healthy meals in the fridge ready to go, what's not to love.

A lot of racks, benches and equipment. Even when its fully busy a lot of stuff is free most of the time. Very cheap priced for such a quality gym, you should wait for the mid-year sales as its ~$300 a year, way cheaper than a lot of gyms.

One of the worst gyms i have ever been to, they charge you each fortnight for something new, like gov charges or this or that bullshxt, the staff in derrimut pakenahm is so disrespectful and they dont even talk properly, 0 star from me.

Great large spaceous gym with top of the line equipment. Toilets are clean and hygienic - without that overpowering smell of potent urine. Maybe the elliptical machines could be updated but apart from that; one of the best gyms around.

Absolutely Fantastic and Clean gym. For the price and the new Oakleigh location looks amazing you can't get better value. I've trained all over Melbourne and by far Derrimut are the cleanest gyms and the toilets are always spotless.

Great gym, super friendly staff lots of machines and free weights a like and even when pretty busy around 10-4 or so there is still a lot of space. Also includes a ring to practice boxing/mma/judo etc. All around great place

The equipment and space is great. I did find it odd that existing customers cannot take up the cheaper offers advertised. Most companies don't value their existing customers, Derrimut is no different.

So so. I like join classes. They don't have many classes. And also some of the equipment are too old and dirty. Such as , yoga mat. Seriously they need change some yoga mats.

Crazy cheap prices and tonnes of really good equipment. Peak time sometimes gets a bit hectic but there's usually enough equipment to not have to wait.
