On Tuesday I took my Cat for Annual Vaccination, I was told by the Vet Joseph Galbally she might be a bit sore for 24hrs, later that night she started to show signs of being unwell, lethargic, not wanting to eat....by friday I was feeling very concerned about her condition so rang the Practice. Was told no appointments available even after I explained the situation and recommended to take her to the Emergency practice in Bundoora which I did. Was seen very quickly, Reception Staff pleasant and helpful, Vet examined her and found she has a temperature of 40.5 was dhydrated and probably feeling nauseous, she was given and Injection, medication and meds to go home with. They were attentive, informative and supportive. Very disappointed in DV Veterinary Hospital, it stated is the Vaccination Certificate to contact them immediately if my Cat shows signs of illness, I have attended this Practice for years but after this will go elsewhere.

The vets are mostly good however the amount you pay for medication is astronomical. Anywhere from 200% to 500% additional to online vet pharmacy prices. Then there is a script fee, $28.60 for a script that they cannot provide the medication for. They make me soo angry. Subsequent to the above, I have been banned from the practice for criticising their pricing. I have not criticised or been abusive to their staff. What ever happened to free speech. I have not received any correspondence apart from the below.

After having attended this practice on a few more occasions, I've updated my review to reflect the honest, efficient and reliable service we receive. I will still be selective with who we visit going forward; but must say that the care, understanding and advice provided during some truly emotionally distressing situations are what give faith that there are still good vets out there.

Please use IV not IM when euthenaising people's beloveds. Worst pet death in 8 euthenasias over 40 yrs. When I spoke up I was told my dogs anxiety was at fault. Scarring experience.
