Horrible experience, poor customer service from office lady and extremely rude. Car was hired with 2x carseats installed. Carseats were not installed safely at ALL. Both seats were sideways and not clipped in. After hire period, they picked up the car WITHOUT ADVISING when they were picking up. Then called to advise they would be charging a cleaning fee as bird poo on roof of car (most likely happened in their possession or on pick-up) and some sand and a couple white dog hairs on seat. (They were meant to contact and communicate if they were able to pick up the car which they didn't, they arrived without my knowledge and I was rushed to empty my items so they could take the car. When I notified the lady who was picking up that there was some sand etc on the back seat from the carseats which just got removed, she advised that was no problem). If they had of advised this may of been an issue, I would of definitely quickly wiped/vacuum this area). Anything to try get more money from their customers. Again, very poor communication, would NEVER go back.

They ask for a security deposit of over $400 depending if you pay with credit card or debit card. Reason for two stars is that this was not made obvious while I paid the $60 deposit and they called to confirm the booking but no mention of the security deposit. Why not mention the deposit while making the booking? The website is also very clunky and I was not going to get the car I booked through the website, I booked the MG and they said they will be giving me a Yaris, wasn't worried about it and they bumped up the rate from $55 to $60 per day, again no biggy but I should been made aware before I went there. Wasted my time and ruined my plans. Also returning the deposit takes them 7 - 10 working days. Edit: will update if my deposit has been refunded within the specified time frame. Edit: have received the $60 deposit back, it did take longer than the quoted time frame. Took almost 4 weeks. Another One: I haven't actually used the service but have since checked their website and it's a lot better.

REGARDING RESPONSE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW as again advised, there was A dog hair on the front seat from clothing (as we have inside small dogs). Again, would of been happy to wipe down if I had of received a confirmation call of when the car would be picked up, instead of you just showing up to get it while I was leaving to pick up my children. Again, your lady who picked up the car said it was fine when I asked if she would like me to give a quick wipe. I can send through the photos and videos of how your "professionals" installed the car seat, and he also stated he did NOT know how to do these (not very professional and safe for two babies if you ask me) I feel a thorough investigation needs to be looked into regarding your company being allowed to install carseats into your cars, I will also pass this information on myself to the proper organisations. Please ensure to stick to the correct facts in your responses.

Don’t use this guys they are rip off o use them for 4-5weeks as I need the car as family is here for a holiday. To make Short story I book in initially for 1 day and book again an extension for a weeek requested a extension of 1 days but the lady said I can’t cause I need to pay the toll and everything the reason behind they want you a deposit is to make more money out of your rental stuff. So my payment was made redundant and charge extra day as I was late sendning the car back as I previously requested for an extension of 1 day where they refuse. On top of having the refusal because I was late sending the car back and was late for 30min as I have a new contract started 5pm and they insist my previous rental was 11:30-“am. So I would strongly suggest do not use this guys. Emotionally distress on the day the wife and the daughter is going back to New Zealand d and refuse to extend.

I have hired vehicles from many different places and had never heard of Distinqt till friends from Melbourne told me about them, they are the absolute best hands down!! Ther customer service is impeccable 10/10, def could show other car rentals hw its done! Nicola is 1st point of contact, she is an absolute legend, polite, respectful and caring she steps up for u, as a distinqt customer with whatever u need... I rarely leave reviews bt Distinqt car hire should b recognised for ther honesty and respect for ther customers!

I live in St Marys and the closest car hire is Penrith. It’s great to know they are local. They have many options, I have hired the 7 and 9 seaters and also the SUV when I go interstate to visit my family. The locality, service and attention to detail is the reason I keep coming back.

I've had to hire many cars over the last year.. and it's cost me a small fortune, I wish I had found distinqt' care hire last year, not are they only easy on the pocket the cars are great and the service is second to none. Thankyou to all at the St Mary's office..

What a pleasant and unbelievably experience!!!!!. The front office stuff was more than helpful and Nicola is both a pleasure and professional person to deal with . Highly recommend this company as their rates were reasonable.

Outrageously unprofessional service, returned the car while it was raining and they charged $30 for cleaning. Inside was clean but how could anyone avoid the rain to splash on car’s exterior. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Would give zero if I could. Took over 2 weeks to get my security deposit back and they finally gave cash to my daughter as I had to leave the country. Apparently they don't know how to do a refund. Never again …
