Rented a car from Dollar for 9 days in December 2022. The car itself was clean and drove perfectly. However Dollar required a credit card hold amount of 5000+ Euros (yes, Five Thousand Plus Euros) AND required additional payment for travel to Northern Ireland AND added a 63 Euro charge when I declined their Collision Damage Waiver (as I had a MasterCard Eligibility Certificate for insurance cover) AND required any damage done to be paid by me directly to Dollar and required me to follow up separately for any possible reimbursement through MasterCard. While there was no damage or issues I can only imagine what a nightmare it would be if there had been any issues. Definitely lacking. Talked to Dollar corporate and they explained that Dollar Dublin Airport is a Licensing location / Franchise location free to make decisions at their own whim with no visibility or oversight by Dollar Corporate.

Plus mauvaise expérience commerciale que j'ai eu de ma vie. On nous force à prendre toute les assurances, nous n'avons pas le droit de payer avec un visa premier car il savent qu'on est protégé avec celle-ci, vendeuse audieuse, siège auto facturé bien plus cher que prévu, forçage de vente d'assurance non obligatoire. Nous venons régulièrement en Irlande, c'est la première fois que cela se passe comme ça. Nous porterons réclamation mais je pense que le système est bien rodé. L'assurance coûte plus cher que la location de la voiture, mais ça ne choque personne apparemment. Si les vendeurs prennent une commission sur les ventes, c'est peut-être la raison de cette arnaque. Dollar/Hertz rental in Dublin airport. I felt hustled with high pressure upgrade sales that grossly inflated my booked rates. 2 hours for checkout. Ridiculous wait times and miscommunication. The bathroom was gross at best. Car was not inspected for dings before turning over to me. They made it my responsibility to find their issues and report back. I thought brand name stood for something, but I was wrong.

This is a rip off car rental company. They charged me for damage that was on the car before I rented it. I showed them a photo of the scratch which I took before we left the airport and they wouldn’t accept it as proof. I will never rent from them again. You would expect better from a company that is owned by HERTZ.

We have had a very good experience with this branch of thrifty. Mark was very efficient and kind, I highly recommend using these guys for car hire as their advice on where to park and safety was paramount. The cars they offer are great and tidy, driving is the best way to see Ireland.

This company is a rip off. My rental qotue went from $465 to $1465 when I got there. I had paid for insurance though Expedia but was told it was not good and I had to buy insurance though Dollar Rental for double the price. Think twice before using. company.

Worst experience ever. It was something wrong about the insurance on the reservation and instead of explaining us what to do or what we can do, they treated us in the worst way possible. Never again

Amazing service. Renting was a seamless process. Car was good. The guy at the desk was very helpful in explaining the rates and inclusions. Would definitely recommend.

Fraudently company who will take your card and charge basically anything . Didn’t service the car , it was given broke electronics and refused to pick it up .

My bad I used them. They are rip off company. Normal booking for a week approximate 300e they charged me over 650. Stay away respect your money
