I was excited to stop in this little jewelry store after reading the reviews online. Quickly I was underwhelmed by the appearance of the shop upon walking in, that's okay! I figured they saved money on aesthetics by simply providing the best prices around. I brought in a 3.4 carat marquise in which I had paperwork of appraisal for the real diamond my mother had given very specific instructions to just get a vibe of the honesty s d be very careful with it. . The most hilarious part of this is the women who was working the front counter said " I can tell it's not real" while I was trying to say, this is real just dirty. Without touching this ring, standing 4 feet Behind a counter. 1. Most unprofessional comment I've ever heard in a jewelry store. 2. She proceeded to take the ring behind a counter without asking permission to have the jeweler looking at it. Everyone has their days, but this was one of my only times in Donelson I was saddened by customer service. I felt as if my family was looked down upon for some odd reason which was super bizarre. The gentlemen who was actually working as a jeweler was LOVELY, and gave us great deals to have this band remade. So I agree with everyone on who has worked with the man that he seems efficient and kind.

I snagged my wedding ring on the office door and noticed a diamond had fallen out. Talk about panic!! I was extremely blessed to find the one diamond that had fallen out. I called Donelson Jewelry to see if it would be possible to fix and have back before they closed. The jeweler repaired my broken prong as well as reset my diamond, steam cleaned my ring and within 2 hours I received a call from their office letting me know my ring was ready. I'll forever use them. They did a fabulous job and did it quickly. I'll refer all my friends are family!!! Very happy customer!!! We own a business and they're always two sides of the story. After reading some of these reviews, it's sad that customers can post whatever they want without any proof of what they say in the post is accurate. It's not right, small business owners work hard to please every customer and some customer's don't think twice about what damage they can do to small businesses by leaving these negitave reviews. We all want to be treated fair and with respect. Customers need to think before posting negatively. Honest, hard working people go above and beyond to please all customers needs but customers don't always tell you exactly what happened. Thank you Donelson Jewelry!!!!!

100 Stars for Donelson Jewelry!! I had ordered a custom silver ring for my girlfriend (Meditation Spinner ring) and it was the only one and it was a size 12. I called two other jewelers and they said that it would be hard to do, since there is a outside part of this ring. I called here and spoke to Leah and asked if I could bring it in. I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with it tonight. Bill looked at it and wavered a moment about it. I looked him in the eyes and said please please. He grinned and I told him she would be at my house at 4, he said I'll have it done today. I was sooo excited. Leah called me in less than an hour and they had my ring ready!! Just amazing people there and I left with tears in my eyes because Bill said this seemed important to you. I will never use another jeweler! I'm hoping to have him make us custom rings for our wedding! Use Donelson Jewelry!

Got something here and the ring had a missing stone. I didn't realize until days later. They told me I could not refund something that was damaged and not my fault. I was going to really support this place and buy what I need here always for my wife.. I have "Store Credit" now where they're forcing me to make a purchase instead of making me happy enough to return. After Store Credit is used, the last thing they will ever see is my backside. The lady even accidentally put the returned ring back into my bag and I drove off. I could have kept it and been a bad guy but people always get what they deserve for doing wrong to others. This broken ring totally put a huge damper on my engagement...

Dropped solar Seiko returned 2 store on 2 occasions for updates...Always promised the part is ordered. 3 weeks later I choose to pick it up and take it to someone that cared about my business and would give a good estimate and set expectations of the repair timing...THIS IS NOT the place for that....Sad because it seems to be a friendly location just unable to fix or update in a timely manner. Dropped watch off @ Crown Jewerly and had the watch back in 6 days , they ordered part and fixed it in 1/2 time the other guys just sat on my watch and did nothing!!!!

Donelson Jewelry is top notch . I had a ring that was my grandpas of 25 years that I wanted to re purpose . They were able to take the ruby and diamonds and make them into a gorgeous pendant . Not only did they charge a reasonable price for labor , they bought the gold back in the ring which helped me on the cost . I cannot recommend them enough . It’s hard to find people like this these days . They made my day . I’m in love with my piece .

This jewelry designer, seller, and gold buyer is so pleasantly unlike any other -- it's the first place I go for any jewelry purchase (new and "used") or repairs. They buy gold for the highest rate in the area, testing and weighing right in front of you with nothing hidden. This is a long-standing local business that is also involved in the community -- another plus! I enjoy my visits with them, too!

I was so happy to find a jewelry store that could actually replace my watch battery, while I waited, not sending it out. Very pleased with the jeweler. However the lack of good customer service by the lady that waited on me was very cold, and abrupt. She acted like she couldn't wait for me to leave, which I did, thankful to the jeweler, but I won't be back.....

Wonderful service and they did such an amazing job turning a family heirloom into a wedding ring. I’m so happy with the results and to make it all even better their prices are great! I had a ring repaired here, and they made the ring larger so it would be way big. I had to take it back, they charged me to repair and then to resize it. The lady that is the manager argued with me about the sizing of the ring. So I ended up paying twice. Please be aware of this business. I will not be using them or anyone in my family.

Went to get my watch resized and they were half the price I've paid other jewelry stores in the past. The service was prompt and friendly. In fact I actually messed up and had then take out to many links and when I went back to get 1 link put back in they refused to take payment. I highly recommend them. Only $10 even to size a watch.

I had bought a sterling silver ring that I wanted sized down but I wasn't exactly sure of what size. Leah was very helpful on finding the right size. Bill did an excellent job resizing and it was ready in less than an hour. Everyone was so friendly and the sizing charge was very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.

I hadn't worn my wedding ring in over a year because it didn't fit after 20+ years since the original sizing. Donelson Jewelry assured me my ring wouldn't leave the building and returned it in 2 business days. They re-sized and cleaned my ring and gave me great joy by allowing me to wear it daily again. Bill the owner is Great, affordable, And you will not get better pricing on fine Jewelry or Silver, watches, watch bands. He does Fantastic jewelry repair as well, without knocking your head off. Lea who works for bill side by side, is awesome, knowledgeable. I've been a customer for years.

I have gone to multiple local jewelry stores in the past, however, this one takes the prize for worst customer service I have ever received. I would highly recommend going elsewhere if you do not want your day ruined. This is the second occurrence I have experienced.

Simply put, the staff is rude. They are all smiles until you challenge their opinion. If you ask to speak with the owner you’ll discover that he trained them in his image. Their is a particular episode on Seinfeld about a soup store that this place reminds me of.

I like this place; a lot! Timely repairs that make sense cost-wise. The staff is beyond friendly and knowledgeable. Not one but 3 jewelers on-site, which is unheard of in a jewelry store. Also, the price of their jewelry is the best around!

They don't charge nearly as much as other local jewelry stores for jewelry or repairs. The only thing I dont like about them is that I go in there quite often for both jewelry repairs and to buy jewelry, but they never seem to remember me.

I have be doing business with Bill the owner since they opened. He has made me jewelry, sized rings, replaced watch batteries, etc. They have always treated me right. They are not an ultra high-end but they have quality at a good value.
