I have been taking my vehicles to Douglas Square since 2008, when they were still a Certigard shop. Top notch guys who will tell you honestly what needs to be done and what doesn't. The first time I took a vehicle in, I gave them the maintenance schedule from my dealership, and told them that's what I wanted. They told me they would do the whole list if that's what I wanted, but that I didn't need half of it. I was pleasantly shocked. A mechanic that willingly gave up revenue because it's the RIGHT THING TO DO!! Second demonstration of their high level of service came after an oil change in 2010 or 2011. There was an issue with the filter, (not their fault) and within 24 hours, all the oil had leaked from the engine. I called them. They sent a tow truck, paid for a tow to their facility, rectified the situation, and then the owner (at least I think he's one of the owners) personally came to my house, and cleaned the oil off my garage floor himself. Show me a shop that would take the trouble to clean your floor for you? These guys are building a business one car at a time, and have fully earned my loyalty.

Rubbish!! One of the worst service I ever seen. I went there by seeing the reviews here. First of all, I have to wait almost one and half month to drop the car and after I went there I have told them I have 2 issues in my car and they did only issue fixed and when I asked them about this they said just drop the car again and they said we’ll take care the issue and didn’t do anything. Again I called them and for the same issue and then they little giving me time to drop the car after another month. WOW. His unbelievable ans is “I don’t have time to fix that”meaning they don’t want to do them job. and took money $550 from me and still I have to bare that issue. Even I don’t have another car I have keep dropping car and returning in public transportation. They should understand that even know that. Just want to tell you people don’t go by reviews. Worst experience. NEVER EVER GO this location.

All the great postings you see on here are because of how much these folks care about their customers. I can't tell you how nice it is to have trust with your AutoService company. But I can tell you that it's made the decision easy to own a vehicle and let it age gracefully a little bit. This has saved us thousands of dollars over the last 12 years since we have been going to them. They once saved me $3000, of which I had already cleared them to go ahead with. I got a call later when the owner had kept digging and found a loophole that made it fall under warranty!! I couldn't believe it, especially since he found it after I had said "go ahead" with the work. What else is there to say? Thank you guys for being such a bright spot in the community and setting the ethical standard to your proffession!

Best shop I’ve ever been to. I brought my 2011 Honda CRV here for a major engine repair earlier this year. They are very reasonably priced and do such great work. They always explain everything and I never feel like they’re trying to upsell me or do anything unnecessary. Yesterday I had my vehicle back for something else, they did a thorough inspection and found the issue which was just a broken splash guard rubbing on my tire. They took the time to check the entire vehicle and recheck the engine too. They do great work and listen to all my concerns. Highly recommended! Sometimes it’s a wait to get in because they do such good work. but it’s 100% worth the wait.

Took my Fiat 500 Abarth 2013 to Douglas Auto and they were astounding all the way from the beginning to the end. Mike Kearney was great over the phone and a pleasure to deal with as well as everyone else starting off, and from that point on everything went more than smooth. These guys are on it! They had everything done fast and they're great at what they do. Their reviews say it all, and I think there's a lot of value in that. After what I just experienced I have a lot of respect for this company and their people, and I will DEFINETLY take my car back to them in the future. They did my Timing belt kit and water pump, as well as my micro v-belt/serpentine belt.

Brought my car in for a routine oil change and when I brought it home noticed that old damage sustained to my front bumper had been repaired. Almost surgically. Without asking. Frickin’ unbelievable. My Mother is still in shock at how good the repair looks. I didn’t even notice it until she mentioned it to me. She said check the bill they must have added a line item to it. Nope. Free! If you want your car to be magically repaired just take it in to the Douglas Square Auto Service and say hi to Paul and Rob. They, alongside with the rest of the staff, are the nicest and most professional people you will ever meet. Thank you guys!

My new shop for sure! My car broke down on deerfoot near Douglasdale and I rolled my car into the shop never having been there before. I was there before opening and they still let me in the shop and got things moving for my car, with no appt. They called took the time to explain to me what broke on my car (crankshaft pulley bolt sheared off in the keyway), explained my options and even showed me a video of the problem. They quoted me a price, fixed it under budget, and got it to me a day earlier than they said. I will be back for sure and definitely recommend.

Mike and his team have been providing exceptional service and looking after our family vehicles for many years. Not only do they provide a fantastic range of services…they cover all makes and models. We have a large Dodge diesel, a couple of foreign imports. And a domestic. And they can do it all. Excellent service team. Super competent and skilled mechanics. Fair pricing. Very reliable shop. Been using them for about 12 years. Knowledgeable, honest, and don't push work that doesn't need to be done. They always explain full costs including labor and parts. Rob and Paul are wicked guys! Update: we thought we had a major issue with our vehicle, turned out to be a very minor fix, so minor that it was taken care of with the turn of a screw driver. Shop could have told me it was a major issue and I would have believed them, instead handed the keys back with the problem solved. 100% great shop - updated March 2023.

A great independently owned shop to take your car to. Everyone is very nice, owner is awesome, and technicians are highly competent. I've never had any issues with the work that's been done on my cars by them, and they always only point out other issues that even to someone who doesn't know about cars are pretty clearly recommendations out of honesty, not because they are trying to rip you off. Honest business is good business in the automotive industry for sure, and I definitely recommend them.

Have been going here for 2 years now and have always had a great experience. The people working there are always polite, helpful and professional and take the time to explain what the issues are and what the options are (including the cost). I honestly know very little about cars so appreciate that I can trust them to fix the issue and not suggest unnecessary things (which I’ve found at other places in the city). Will continue to use and recommend to others even if I move out of the area.

Had an issue with an oil leak on my car this fall and took it to these guys. Been a customer for a few years and always happy with their work. This time, the fix did not stop the oil leak. When I called them about it, they came over and checked and added oil, drove the car back to the shop, fixed the issue again at no charge, then came back and cleaned the floor of my garage, the driveway and the street in front of my house! That is old fashioned customer service!

Professional and trusted service, reasonable prices, timely repairs. Friendly and welcoming staff, very pleased whenever I need car maintenance, or an oil change, an inspection is done, so I know I am leaving with a good running vehicle. If any future maintenance is required, it is listed under my file, so I know what I may have to take care of that next time I get an oil change. The only place I trust to maintain our vehicles.

These guys are fantastic! I brought my car in a month or so ago b/c she wouldn't start, and I had no idea why. They got it all fixed up that same day, explained everything that was going on with it, and didn't charge me left right and center like other places have in the past. Then had to bring it in last week b/c I blew a tire, they took it in that morning and I got it back 2 hours later! Amazing service by great people.

Got a bunch of work done on my engine and clutch. Car worked fine for 1 day before the transmission gave out. Ended up being a freak accident, no ones fault. These guys went out of there way to find me the needed part ( of which there was one new one in north America) fixed my car up within a day or two and didn't charge for labour or anything. Some of the best customer service in this day and age. Highly recommend

I've used Douglas Square Auto Service for maintenance and repairs on every car I've ever owned. Even though I live across the city now, I refuse to switch shops. These guys are solid and trustworthy. They've helped me make difficult decisions and have gone above and beyond more than a few times. Their customer service and workmanship is exceptional to say the least.

They are fair totally honest used good parts reasonably priced Ford told me I needed repairs on my Explorer and upon their Douglas Square Auto checking I only needed half the repairs Ford told me. I was in and out in 3 hours at one third the price. Mike Paul and his guys are outstanding

They charge so much for a small job - the dealer is cheaper ! If you got lots of money to waste you can choose to go … they used to be fair but now they rip people off, they are busy now so they don’t care anymore about their customers. The mechanics that I dealt with are real, they will let you know what you can do and when to let go of a vehicle. I was informed of the situation after they looked at SUV, which helped me make the decision to let go of that vehicle. I would take my any of my vehicles to them.

Had my car and truck in for some front end work, brakes and tires. These guys were honest and and easy to deal with, they had a chance to do some unnecessary work but opted to tell me the the truth. Because of this level of service they have gained a new customer for life.
