Jason's team took care of mine and my husband’s, my in-laws, and my sisters itineraries travelling between Canada and Australia. For the in-laws, he took care of everything including flights, airport transfers, hotels, and excursions. My family were so appreciative to the attention to detail Jason provided when thoughtfully planning their trip based on their age, lifestyle, and desired travel experiences. They thoroughly enjoyed all the activities Jason booked them and their accommodations were in great locations! In addition, the price offered by Down Under Travel was very competitive to what they found online. Monica assisted my sister and her friend with their flights to Canada, she also provided them with information about moving to Canada on a working visa and border security requirements. She also got their medical insurance booked at a more competitive price then they could find themselves. Jason provided me with amazing service when I was stuck in a pinch with lost travel documents. I called the Down Under Travel emergency phone from the airport check-in, Jason took care of my flight credit in minutes allowing me to focus my attention on completing the necessary paperwork for emergency travel. When I was approved to travel again, he helped me book my flights at 7.30am MT and got me on the most affordable flight leaving in just a couple hours’ time from making the booking! As an Aussie who has been living abroad for 10+ years, I have travelled to and from Australia many, many times. Pre-covid, I always booked my flights online without a travel agent as I thought I would be getting a better deal. When travelling during the pandemic, I decided to use an agent due to travel requirements being so complex. Since then, Down Under Travel continues to prove me wrong, they’ve always found a better flight path at a more affordable price than I have been able to find online. In addition, the knowledge and service they provide make for a very relaxing journey! We did a package trip for Sydney, Melbourne & Cairns with Brisbane added on in October 2022. The price was very good and the initial support was good, but there were more hiccups than one would have expected. For arrival in Sydney the hotel shuttle instructions were explicit noting the transport companies desk would be just outside the customs exit. We searched the whole area without finding it. In the area where the desk was supposed to be there was an Airport Information desk and the gentleman there said there had been no desk for that company in over two years since Covid but he was very helpful and called the transfer company who directed us to a bus loading area. A mini bus did arrive with a different company name but the driver said they did contract for the company we had and agreed to take us even though we were not on his list. For our included tour the next day no one showed up and when we finally contacted that tour company they said the tour was booked for the following day even though our Downunder Itinerary had us on the day we showed up. We were able to contact our Downunder Agent in Calgary who confirmed the booking we had was correct and the local tour company had the dates mixed up and offered the tour for the following day but our schedule was full, we did get a $75 refund for the two spots on the tour (that seems to be low). We also mentioned the issue of the inaccurate direction for the airport shuttle in Sydney to our agent who did not seemed concerned about it. Our airport shuttle pick up at our Brisbane hotel was scheduled for only 2 hrs prior to our international flight home and when we asked the travel agent about this she indicated this was the recommendation of the shuttle company and we could contact them if we were concerned. We did change our pick up time to more than 3 hrs prior to our flight and found out the shuttle was originally booked as a domestic flight instead of an international flight. In general the pick ups for tours booked through Downunder were late whereas tours we booked ourselves though Get Your Guide were all on time if not a little early. I would recommend Downunder Travel if you are basing a decision on price and are prepared to deal with most of the onsite logistics on your own.

If you are thinking of traveling back to Australia during COVID then you must book with Jason Webb from Downunder Travel. He has saved us on numerous occasions and he is worth is weight in gold. Honestly, we feel like we should have paid him more for everything he did for us! Our flight was scheduled for Sept. 2nd and we got the dreaded call that we were going to be bumped till Oct 27th. Having no jobs and desperate to get back he moved mountains and was able to get us on a Sept 3rd flight last minute! But his awesomeness doesn't stop there - Sept 3rd we are in the airport and needed to fly to SFO to get our flight to Sydney but the aircraft we were waiting on to arrive got rerouted due to an emergency and there was suddenly NO WAY we were going to make our connection in SFO. I had him on speaker with a United agent and together they were able to move our flights so we could get on the LA to Sydney flight instead. (Pro tip get to the airport really early and call him the second something goes wrong like a delay) He always picked up when I called and always walked us through our options in a calm way when we were panicking. He texted us throughout the entire day of our trip to check in even when it was the middle of the night for him. I think I texted him more than my mom that day. Now we are happily sitting in a hotel in Sydney and can't wait to get out of quarantine. My parents plan to use him when they can one day come visit us post-covid!

We contacted Downunder Travel upon a recommendation from friends who had enjoyed 2 differing trips organized by Jason. We spent 6.5 wonderful weeks exploring both Islands in New Zealand. Jason met with us to understand our interests and a sense of where we hoped to travel while there. We had already booked our flight there, The Milford Trek as well as Doubtful Sound overnight which he worked with and proposed an itinerary. We requested a few changes, extended a few nights here and there and soon after many months before departing all was arranged. What a weight off our shoulders as we had been attempting to do all the research and booking ourselves. Accommodations, day trips, half day tours etc all ran without a hitch. There were a couple of tours I don't think we would have booked ourselves as they weren't the kind of thing we'd do and yet they were just great and so glad we did! At one point we thought we might be seeking medical assistance at a drop in clinic. Not sure about the process with Medical Insurance, we sent him a note to which he quickly responded and we really appreciated. All in all we are very thankful for the arrangements and bookings that helped make the time there truly great. Thanks Jason.

There are no words to describe my appreciation for Jason’s help in planning our most significant trips. This is the third time Jason has helped us arrange a trip (1. Australia - Sydney to Cairns, 2. Australia and New Zealand - Auckland to Wellington then Adelaide to Melbourne, 3. Thailand - Bangkok to Chiang Mai to Khao Lak). Jason’s knowledge, attention to detail, patience in answering my countless number of questions, timeliness and added hints and tips resulted in incredible journeys. Recently we used Downunder Travel Ltd to book a trip from Calgary to Perth. We were extremely happy with the service provided by Jason. Generally my husband and I have been happy with our service at Co-op travel with our 9 trips back to Aus over the years, but with all the Covid-19 travel restrictions, I'm cautious to trust ANY AGENT at the moment. Enter: Sawyer at DownUnder Travel. Her comprehensive knowledge of the travel industry including the actual situation in Australia at the moment, (which ABSOLUTELY affects sales of tickets here), then her ability to listen compassionately before working on solving the problem of getting Ex-pats home, has been an amazing experience. She genuinely is so happy to help. We are not home yet (we're immigrating .... ) and I'm not counting my chickens until our plane is on the tarmac in Sydney, but I thought the least I can do is pass on my appreciation to a great asset to the travel industry.

Sawyer was such a godsend for our trip home after two years overseas in Canada. Predictably our flight was bumped by the airline, but Sawyer and Jason were on top of it quickly to sort out our new flights and were very reassuring, calling us multiple times to discuss any questions we had and to give us advice. Sawyer went well above and beyond to help us with some baggage issues we were having due to a long layover and two different airlines (after two years overseas, we have a LOT of luggage, but airlines have decided to only allow one piece nowadays for some reason) and was able to get our baggage fees waived for our second flight. Couldn't recommend Downunder Travel enough. In spite of how difficult flying is nowadays, it felt easier with Sawyer and Jason. Thank you so much to you both.

I just returned from the trip of a lifetime to Australia and Fiji. I worked with Jason on the itinerary before COVID and was finally able to make it happen. Working with Jason was great - we first had a conversation about my travel style, time frame, budget and list of "absolutely must see and do". Jason took this away and came back with a proposed itinerary. Jason looked after everything: flights, insurance and all the bookings. I did not change very much - he was spot on with his suggestions. And Jason rebuilt this itinerary a couple of times since the trip was first booked in 2019 and was delayed until 2022. I had a fabulous time. Highly recommend Jason and his team.

I cannot recommend Jason from Down-under Travel highly enough. My wife, myself and our 3 young kids were set to travel to Perth, WA in early January 2022 as I was relocating back home from Canada. Jason booked our tickets and over the course of December and into January 2022, we had to change our flights 4 times and jump through multiple hoops in order to get home to Perth. Jason was always available on the phone and was always very helpful in changing our flights, speaking and answering our questions, providing travel insurance etc. etc. I highly recommend using Jason and his team with all your travel needs.

In Feb/Mar 2023 we took a trip to Fiji, New Zealand and Australia. Downunder Travel was a professional partner for planning our trip. Their accommodation recommendations turned out perfect because they listened to what we were looking for in an experience. The accommodations were perfect - specially the Holiday Inn in "The Rocks" area of Sydney and the French Quarter in Noosa. I'm so glad you encouraged us to do the Ayers Rock 3 day safari! Seeing the night sky in the Outback was spectacular and so were the walks although it was nice to trade the "bush toilets" of Kings Canyon for the lovely elegance of the wine tour in the Barossa Valley outside of Adelaide. Your itinerary worked perfectly and we had a wonderful trip!

Jason did a great job in setting up our itinerary for a New Zealand vacation. Our vacation was everything that we wanted. As we travelled shortly after Cyclone Gabriel we had some concerns but Jason and his local contacts in New Zealand kept an eye on things and even suggested a slight change for us to ensure the cyclone damage wouldn’t impact us. Booking travel arrangements online at present is a nightmare. The "fine-print" in websites is often deceptive. Finding a real in-person travel agent is also a challenge. Great trip to Costa Rica! Jason at Downunder Travel organised a memorable holiday… spent a couple of nights in San Jose, 4 in Monteverde and 7 at Pacific coast resorts. Heard about this place through a friend and decided to inquire about a trip to Southern Africa. Jason did a fantastic job with very little time and set up a 25 day trip, flights included.
