I have been a patient of Dr. Cardenas for almost a year now and I really like him. He's different from the other doctors I have had, he's interested in every aspect of your health and making sure you're alright in your everyday life. He is very through to make sure things get done with respect to all your health care needs, they take care of all your blood work right in the office, their physical therapy is also right in the same building, and their UA,s are done in the office also, for myself all this makes it very convenient for me not to have to drive to a different place for all these different procedures. He always makes sure that everything is covered, always ask if you have any questions do you need any refills, he's sure to trigger your memory if there is something you have forgotten and that's a nice gesture for I have a tendency to get overwhelmed when I'm trying to make sure I haven't forgotten anything. The staff is very helpful and are very good at getting messages to the doctor in the event you may have missed something or something in your medical care has come up. If the doctor is not available right away to handle it one of the staff are trained and authorized to do some of the simple things such as refills, or anything that may arise or they will make sure it is taken care of. I've had absolutely no problems for the time I have been going to this clinic and plan on staying as long as he is practicing.
When I first started going to the doctor's office it was chaotic it was unorganized nobody had everything that the staff would mess up or do was always the patient's fault nobody could take accountability. Then over the years they've moved a few times and now I've noticed my doctors forgetting things about me forgetting my medications dosages sometimes he forgets that I was even on a certain medication even though he had me on it for 6 years now. And I know all the nurses talk about him having dementia. But I think the worst part is when you're trying to get your mental medication from him and they keep taking it away cold Turkey you have to be off your meds and they've done it so many times to me now that I just don't feel stable I don't feel safe I feel like my life is in danger and I'm afraid in hiding all the time now I just wish that they would stop playing with my medications that way. It's terrorizing. But don't confront the doctor because he will get defensive and everything is your fault. What doctor doesn't pay their medical staff Health Insurance? Idk i need a new dr. I think I'm at the end of my ropes with Mederilife and Cardenas. I'll be forever grateful for him helping diagnose my chronic illness and pains. I never thought I'd feel well enough to play with my kids again. Not all bad but not professional by anymeans.
Best doctor I’ve ever dealt with staff is friendly and go above and beyond to help their patients. The doctor cares for his staff and patients and has gone above and beyond to help me with my situation. I wrecked on a motorcycle going 120mph so I’ve met my share of doctors! I’m hoping Dr Rick will be my doctor for long time to come. They’re like friends I have to visit once a month and their great attitudes and personalities makes doctor visits much more comfortable for me than any other doctors or staff I’ve had to deal with in the past. I’d give more stars if it was possible!!! A BIG thank you for Dr Rick and his entire staff… THANK YOU ;)
Very unprofessional staff. Dr is very dismissive. It’s a very unique dr experience front to back. And not in a good way. Idk what they got going on here but I have never received one bill of explanations of benefits. I can’t get emailed information when I need it? The dr can’t see imaging when I’m able to? Very strange. In fact I’ve never had to call a dr back to set up an appointment to go over results as I was under the impression they call you? Also when you call Dr at least know what you’re calling about. It’s not a good look for a professional when you call about the wrong thing on the wrong day. I wish I was making this up STAY AWAY!
The one nurse that works here along with the other girl are very unprofessional. I over heard then talking about the Dr. Cardenas when I was in the waiting room stating “they thought he was getting dementia” and forget about it when you need a prior authorization, refer, labs or any care because they will not get it done and make excuses that it was the patients fault. It my forty years of seeing medical professionals, my care has NEVER been handled so poorly.
