Dulwich Hill train station is a heritage-listed railway station on the Bankstown line in the inner west of Sydney, Australia. It is located on Dulwich Hill Road, close to the Cooks River, and is served by Sydney Trains T3 Bankstown line services. The station was opened in 1895 and was originally named "Dulwich Hill Junction". It was renamed "Dulwich Hill" in 1924. The station has two platforms and is staffed during peak hours. Dulwich Hill train station is a popular destination for commuters, shoppers, and tourists. It is located close to a number of shops, restaurants, and cafes, as well as the Dulwich Hill Public School and the Dulwich Hill Library. The station is also well-connected to the wider public transport network. It is a short walk from the Dulwich Hill light rail station, and it is also served by a number of bus routes. Overall, Dulwich Hill train station is a convenient and accessible transport hub that serves the needs of the local community. However, the station is getting some much needed furbishment. The platforms are narrow, and the waiting room is outdated. Despite its shortcomings, Dulwich Hill train station is a valuable asset to the community. It is a convenient and accessible way to travel around Sydney, and it is well-connected to the wider public transport network. I would give Dulwich Hill train station three stars. It is not the best train station in Sydney, but it is functional and serves its purpose. I hope that the station will be upgraded in the future to make it more user-friendly and accessible.

There are no ramps as stated by another reviewer... No lift access. Only a long staircase. On the platform there is an indoor waiting area with seating which is good on hot/cold days but is not always open, bathrooms which are sometimes open, and a vending machine which occasionally eats your money but if not, cold drinks abound. At street level where you enter before the staircase down to the platform there is a all kiosk with snacks, drinks, magazines etc that's usually open during business hours, and Opal card dispenser and top up machine. This station is close to the Dulwich Hill light rail stop (the light-rail stop is accessible via lift or stairs from the street which makes transfering fairly easy). This train station runs along side the freight rail line.
Dulwich Hill railway station is located on the Bankstown line, serving the Sydney suburb of Dulwich Hill. It is served by Sydney Trains T3 Bankstown line services. The Inner West Light Rail L1 terminates at the western end of Bedford Crescent, 100 metres from the railway station. Reasonable passenger amenities. New station concourse under construction as of July 2023.
Train station is too old (opened in 1895!), but the Sydney Metro City and Southwest project will upgrade this station to the newest standards with new electrified trains, structural barriers and modern architectural design. Not sure if the bridge crossing the train station will be upgraded but it really needs to be upgraded.
This station does not have a lift. The station master is available for assistance weekday morning's. Trains to the city run every 20mins in peak hour and every 15mins on the weekend. This line is often closed on the weekends. This station should be an express stop station considering there is light rail near by.
Very disappointed! The government is giving free travels during school holidays but sadly the toilets were locked! What a contradiction to promoting travelling. Its hard when you're travelling with children especially and you're not familiar with the place.
Regular service to the city/out west. No, elevator. I don't understand why the only space you can sit out of the sun or rain is locked most of the time. It's incredibly frustrating that the station has sheltered seating but you can't use it.
My home station, and it is a lovely little quiet station. The little newsagent up on the entrance is good to grab a quick drink or packet of smokes before you jump on the train. Also can top up OPAL card there!
I have used this station many times and It has trains almost every 10 minutes on each platform most days. only complaint is that there is not a lot of shelter from the sun.
terrible train station so far, but theres a upgrade coming to it, hopefully with an elevator and such, the conductor guy is mean apparently, bet his names Rorey.
Historic Inner West suburb is one of Sydney's nicest. Also end of the line for the temporarily suspended Inner West L1 light rail
Needs lifts to complement the adjacent new light rail terminus. The concourse needs a new paint job too.
I don't hate it, the station needs a major uograde and lifts for the elderly, wheelchairs and prams etc
Regular service to city and convenient to connect the light rail , walk 3-5mins, a small train station
Not a bad station but should be updated and include elevator for people with prams/wheelchairs
Good service, can't understand why it isn't more people friendly(facilities not staff)
Has a train and tram interchange (short walk required).
Station upgrades look great, massive change
after years still no lift. seriously?
Good coffee ☕️ and food options.
