This is the third gym I have joined, with each gym having it's own strengths and weaknesses. I'll jot down what stands out with this specific gym. If you are serious about fitness, then you are going to fit right in. This place probably has the longest collective of competitive individuals compared to the previous two. However, I could see some people starting out or more casual become intimidated by this. I myself may be taller than average, but not particularly a large man. Admittedly there are plenty of people (men and women) who come here that are above me in all areas fitness wise . However, it doesn't bother me personally. Keep in mind that everyone has to start somewhere. Each visit, this gym has been pretty packed to the point I find myself rearranging my routine. I'll either have to wait for a specific machine or swap one exercise for another. This may change once the opening frenzy dies down, but between hours of 12PM-7PM, attendance has been consistent each day. The facility is very nice and feels professional. The main gym is a huge open area with a smaller outdoor area in the back. I personally love the outdoor area as it feels very isolated from the noise and crowding. There is also a pool. theater and some other areas I haven't checked out yet. I could be wrong, but one thing this gym currently seems to be missing is a smoothie/shake bar. The first gym I ever attended had this and it was great. Maybe in the future. Equipment is great. Everything I could find in my previous gyms and more are all available. Surprisingly I never have to wait for weight bench yet. The employees seem pretty nice, yet typically occupied by some kind of line at the counter. One of them welcomed me back and some other complimented my shirt. Those little touches can make a visit better. Scanning my code takes no time at all. One thing I might be critical of is that cleaning supplies seemed a little hard to find or too far away from certain equipment. Now the opening itself was pretty shaky. I came in for the advertised deal at some office across the street and offered some other deals which sounded great, but not for me. Then I got an e-mail to come back and it ended up being similar to the last visit. I think I was told it would be in August that it would open, but nothing happened til September. To close this, for $10 a month+annual fee this probably has the biggest bang for your buck. If you can afford a trainer, that can be definitely be a plus. However, if you are more on the casual side, I would recommend taking a tour before committing to a decision. If I spot any changes, I will edit this review accordingly.
The girl there tried to hustle me. I went in to see and learn more about the gym. I was interested in their personal training opportunities as well. Upon sitting down with the girl she seemed nice but not genuine. I felt like I was speaking to a sales person not a gym staff member. Upon sitting back down the first thing she had asked me was if I had looked at the promotional offers on their website, which I replied no. She goes on to tell me about the training packages and that it will be more expensive unless I buy them and start my membership today. I tell her I want to think about it and she pushes some more and claims she doesn’t know if the same price would be offered next time (It will be because I didn’t start my membership that day and that’s the main differential in prices). She claims she can get my membership starting fee down from $49 to $1 ONLY if I purchase a training package that day. THAT WAS A LIE as their website currently has a promotion for anyone to get their starting fee down to $1. At the end I play dumb to see if she’s being truthful or not and ask if they have a trial for the gym that I could do before I decide to get my membership. She tells me no and that the only thing they can do is 14 days free after purchasing a membership. That’s a lie because the website shows a 7-day trial and I was emailed it after as well. Don’t remember her name, started with an “H” maybe “Hal…” something. There was another staff member right next to us letting her lie to me which tells me they are trained to hustle and lie to people. Not sure if I even want a membership here anymore.
The gym on 19th Avenue and Baseline has not opened so this review is for the enrollment center. If I wasn't already planning on joining this gym the people at the enrollment center would have been the reason I didn't join. The only thing they care about are making sales. The 1st time I went there to join the guy that signed me up became upset and dismissive when I didn't provide him more than 3 names for referrals. He slid the paper back to me and asked for 2 more names. When I told I didn't have any he abruptly got up and walked away. Then I received this validation email: Your New EōS Fitness is Opening Soon But first... let's get you set up for success for your first workout at your new gym! Now is the time to stop by the Enrollment Center, validate your Membership Account and get Grand Opening updates. Also, an EōS Team Member will help you download the EōS Mobile App, show you how to access your barcode to check into the gym and so much more! This was a lie. I got no grand opening updates, this guy did not show me how to download the app or anything on it. All he wanted to do is sign me up for a personal trainer. He made a comment about wanting to make sure I was successful on my 1st day. I told him I don't even know when the gym opens. You want to press me for more money but haven't even provided basic informaton. Of course when I didn't sign up for the trainer rhe conversation ended. They need to train these people to provide better customer service.
New place with new machines. That's the only good thing. The bad:the staff and the limited amount of classes. Talking about classes first, you have 2/3 per day and always at the same time, so the classes are packed and if you work different hours, you cannot go to the classes. The front staff is the worse. First time I went there I had to logging to the app and they did not help at all. The lady in the front desk only said go to the app and use your phone number to get the QRcode. Great.. She saw me struggling and never asked if I needed help. Until I said I could not do it and she finally said I did not had to create an account but just to put my phone number where it asks for my email or something basic, but totally not user friendly. I asked then a tour of the facilities. She called a manager. Took him 5 minutes to come, which is ok, I might have been working. When he came to meet me and she told me it was for me, he stopped in front of me and started talking with another staff member for more than 3 min while in front of me and laughing with that staff member. They were not talking about work, just life. I was there and hearing everything... The worse experience... They have so many people that do not care about someone with problems. While I was waiting the phone rang and it was a client complaining. The lady told him to wait, called another staff member and told him to pick up the phone because she didn't want to deal with the client complaining....
I want to start by saying that this EOS location is beautiful, and I love the machines. The staff appears to be very friendly and helpful. My husband and I are always greeted when we come in, which is great. However, my only concern is how busy it is. I understand that this is a new location and people are excited, but please, for the love of God, stop signing people up. There are absolutely no available machines, not even treadmills; it's just so ridiculous. My husband and I decided to go at 7:30 pm instead of 4 pm when we both get off work, and to our surprise, it was just as busy. It makes me question if we should have even signed up. Not only is it busy, but you also need to seriously reconsider the parking lot situation. People are parking illegally everywhere, even in the dirt, and you have to make about five rounds around the parking lot to find a spot, if you're lucky. We are basically forced to come to the gym at 5 am now because of how much of a headache it is. If you're going to keep signing up a bunch of people, please accommodate us with better parking and machines that aren't "under construction." My husband and I are determined to stick it out, but if this situation doesn't improve, I can see us returning to LA Fitness. It's just not enjoyable during those hours. Get it together, EOS.
This layout is very similar to 83rd and camelback they have lighted mirrors in the locker rooms. This review mostly talks about classes. I just did a yoga class the first one offered at the location by instructor Michael he throughly explained everything for beginner level and some optional advanced positions. He engaged with the class throughout to explain correct placement and how to avoid injury. He set an intention for the class of resilience. There's an event tomorrow that does 15 mins of each class they will be offering and I'll be attending the dance versions. The gift app and online don't give good descriptions of the yoga class beforehand, yin, power, vinyasa ect like it used to. I did find this annoying but all locations are currently experiencing the same thing. In the future it would be nice to put a build the peach class and of course better descriptions for each class so people understand the level of intensity. I prefer to sweat during my workout and I pick classes currently from experience with different instructors. I only use EOS gym for classes and rarely I might make use of a stairmaster.
I'm fairly new to the gym scene an felt like I was getting pretty good at doing my workouts right lil did I know I had a lot to learn I was approached by this young man an ge asked if he could give me a tip on how to be more effective with my workout I was a lil embarrassed at first because I didn't wanna seem like a dummy but he made it simple an to the point I really felt as if he had my best interest in mind an even more so he invited me to continue my work out with him since we were working on the same muscles. The lil time we spent together I learned so much from him lil did I know he actually works there (GREAT HIRE EOS) I was definitely looking for him to try an sell me something at that but nope he just wanted to help like he said "get me right" we need more people like him in the world my gym experience has improved so much knowing the staff actually cares about they member on and off the clock not like these other company's only looking to squeeze as much money out you as possible so just want to publicly thank him Kenya your the best sir!!!!
I was stoked about this gym opening up! Great facility, awesome front desk staff, Jackie, is an amazing hostess! BUT it appears to be poorly managed. Sauna in the men’s locker room is down way to much, they have lockers in the gym area but they don’t work. They have signs saying no gym bags allowed on the gym floor area, yet gym bags are on the floor at nearly every station occupying a workout station belonging to someone that’s working out on another station. SMH. It’s crowded enough without gym bags everywhere. I sat in the lobby for 15 minutes waiting for my wife, of which we both pay for our own membership, and several couples walked in and scanned 1 x and they both walk in. Is there a 2 for the price of 1 going on that I don’t know about? One last comment, the classes. People take the time to sign up, and they should be scanned at the door, because people are just showing up squeezing out the people that signed up. Makes zero sense. Get it together EŌS. I wouldn’t mind paying more when the things above are fixed.
I joined this gym before they opened with high hopes, Went to my 1st visit worked with a trainer and from there it all went downhill, I told him I had had knee surgery but he had me doing squats and get on my knees later that week my knee was killing me found out I had a torn meniscus they want to do surgery, I called the gym to ask about cancelling since it had been 2 months since I could go. The girl talked to was childlike asked to speak to a manager was told someone would call back. Fast forward 3 weeks later I get a call from Utah can't remember the girls name SO un empathetic listened to what I had to say and just repeated she cancelled my membership right away. IF YOU WANT TO JOIN A GYM THAT YOUR JUST A NUMBER AND A MONTHYLY FEE GO AHEAD AND JOIN !!! Shocker the only reason you want to talk is because of this review Ezme well I'm NOT interested in speaking to anyone from there again . BYE BYE
Client was rushed and pushed for services not required. Employees are pushy to convince you that you need a trainer and additional services, even when two employees are told that the client needed time to get adjusted to the gym before opting in for a trainer. Gaps of communication between employees, which in turn makes them lack punctuality (Day one, trainer was not available at designated time the team discussed, and were only notified the morning of). Lack of cleaning supplies in specific locations to wipe down machinery. Safety hazards to guests and employees, and environment due to poor layout choices. Manager will be difficult to get in touch with; Manager is the only associate to manage terminations. Employees will go in depth as to why you should opt for certain services, but do not stop to allow you to get a brief look at the fine print before signing. No physical check-in tags
I was misinformed about the training told it was an hour and ended up being 30 minutes. When I tried to cancel it and explain to “manger korntey” that I was basically lied to about the deal she told me “that’s not possible” basically telling me I’m lying and I have to keep paying. they’ve charged my mother twice $68 in one day and then it’s happened 2 weeks later. This place is money hungry and has terrible customer services. Every time I called this “manger Kortney” and “manger Jordan” are always “busy” and never has time to talk to their customers. Which is funny cause one time when I was working out I saw one of them joking and havin the time of their life. This place is truly ridiculous with the costumer service PLEASE BE CAREFUL
I had a gym membership for seven years, and maybe only went two months out of all that. But then I got recommended here, and I was amazed about everything they have to offer, I wanted to be serious this time so I also got talked into getting a personal trainer which happened to be Tony, and I seriously couldn’t be more grateful. He makes every session worthwhile and pushes you because he actually cares and believes in you. His love for chipotle and helping people is genuine every week I look forward to working out with Tony. I still don’t believe it I actually lost 16lbs since i’ve been with him and i’m definitely renewing so thank you
I really wish I could say more but they were calling me like 100 times a day later lol not 100 times a day but they’re quite call me quite often. I just couldn’t take it anymore so I had a block him however I just wanted a few questions but because they’re so Sales enhanced they couldn’t answer over the phone. They had to take my email. They had a confirms are in things my age where I lived all this and I just wanted to know if they did yoga yes or no that’s it and the story so I just stop calling stop calling.
Nice new gym.. overcrowded at times. Some staff are more concerned with getting sales, rather than helping people be healthier and happy. If your goal is to help people you will never fail. As a Platinum member for 3 years now I travel to a vast majority of the EoS gyms. This particular one is setup efficiently and has some great amenities, namely the relax and cool down room. It could use a little more fengnshui and leaving the door open kind of ruins the experience due to the noise of the gym .
This is the 3rd EOS gym ive been to 4th in Arizona. This location is the best by far. I already had a membership so not sure how the staff are but the amount of equipment is amazing. The sauna is huge. Locker rooms are clean. All the treadmills and ellipticals are fully digital. It's a really nice gym and I look forward to continue to build the me I want to be there. Only complaint is I wish the sauna was adjustable and about 10 degrees hotter. Dysart is 180 max and this one caps at 170.
I love it here. I'm a gym vibe kind of person. This place always passes the vibe check. Some equipment might be down but the energy is great everyone giving their best. Friendly staff and a dope outdoor workout space I'm obsessed with. Lots of cool equipment to and I never have to wait for a machine plenty to choose from. P.s. I never do classes but I did the 9 am yoga class and what a workout would recco my stomach was so snatched the next morning lol
I was blessed with working with a Personal Trainer named Tony an he was able to work with me to help lose weight an build technique in 3 months. He listens an looks into your success in every avenue. He's given me health tips an work out plans for a week. I messed up my shoulder rotating cuff an he was able to identify the issue an gave me ways to tend to my injury. If you decided to get an workout trainer at EOS i would by far ask for Tony.
Class registration on the app isn't working at all for the last few weeks, I've uninstalled and reinstalled it 3x with no fix, I'm unable to sign up for any group fitness glasses without the app and the whole reason I chose EOS over other gyms was the variety of classes they offer. No one has been able to provide any resolution over the phone or in the club. My daughter has a separate membership with the exact same issue. Super frustrating!
Overcharged my account and unwilling to fix the issue as I can't get a refund. Members Services by phone as the inability to do anything but expressed scheduled payments aren't refundable. I don't do the back office processing of Gym Transfer contracts and your organization has charged me several times for fees for multiple locations as well as another annual fee (I have not even been signed up for a year...charged 2x for that fee).
Love this gym, moved to AZ from Cali and found this gym and thought I'd get a personal trainer just to get me in the right direction. Coach Tony? amazing trainer, only been with him for a month and boy are the changes coming. Endurance is up and punching power has also gone up. Excited to see what he's got cookin up for me next. And if anyone is looking to meet there athletic based goals or goals in general, I'd say go for Tony.
New great machines, lots of machines. Plenty of squat racks, weights and dumbbells. The staff is very friendly and does not push products or services. It does get busy since there no other gyms close by in that area. Lots of cardio equipment, pool, sauna, outdoor workout area. Very clean locker rooms. I signed up strictly for the squat racks but I've been using a lot of leg, chest and arm machines and dumbbells too.
No communication with the opening day. They had it for 08/22 then pushed it to 08/29 which is fine, however on the opening day they don’t even open until 2pm. Why wasn’t this communicated properly to the members? Multiple people waited outside early morning and late morning to be told they don’t open until 2 pm. Poor customer communication, let’s see how this locations turns out to be, with their customer service.
I want to shout out my trainer Tony in a MAJOR way!!! Not only does he accommodate my schedule by scheduling our sessions for 430 AM, but he has taken weakness and pain in my knees from years of sports and given me strength back and the pain is all but gone! Gym is great and has much better tech in equipment than competitors in close proximity. All around AWESOME PLACE and can’t beat the price
Guys be patient with your reviews. They did have a shaky opening but the gym is now open and the gear looks really high tech! I’ve been to dozens of gyms and this one so far is the best. Their kid care area is still under construction but it’s open as of 8.31 when I went to check it out. Our community was HUNGRY for a new gym. Let’s take care of it and give the staff some Time to get settled.
Someone thought it was a great idea to not let people in or out because it was a little gusty. I showed up at 9 and they waved me to leave and wouldn’t let me in. There was no real explanation other than yelling through the crack “It’s not that it’s closed, the wind” and turned their back to us. I pay for this? Oh and they charged me $65 this month already when it was supposed to be 9.99.
As a one of the new Personal Trainers at this location this is just what South Phoenix needed a REAL Gym with all the things you need to achieve your goals no matter what your skill set is! It's hands down one of the best gym experiences in the valley!!! Thanks EOS for opening in South Phoenix!!!! Stop by today an get your free Welcome Workout with me or one of our Coaches!!!
CLEAN. Great staff, nice and friendly. Clientele is diverse, and ranges in ages and body shapes which I like. Still have areas where "real lifters" can prosper while the main floor has plentiful bench press, free-weights and a great outdoor area for elevated workouts! Will try the steam room on next occasion, but so far this is the best gym in the city for the price rn.
Horror, I just looked at my transactions. They charge me over $80 dollars every week! This is the third payment in a month. What it is? how to stop it? I was in their office, I don't have any paid subscriptions, just a $30 membership! They don't send bills by mail or prescribe special training. what is this for? I recently joined at a reduced price.
Never going to an EOS again. It’s ALWAYS busy with kids sitting and talking on machines and when you cancel you have to pay for a while extra month which makes no sense. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.. I go to LA Fitness now and love it. Then again m, I go to the gym to workout, not to socialize with high schoolers.
Worst experience ever!!! I am getting charged for personal trainer when I never requested that! I called them when they took the first payment but the manager “Courtney” is never in or she’s “BUSY” when I finally spoke to her she wasn’t able to help me as they don’t offer refunds! She is not professional at all and a LIAR!!!
Customer service is horrible when you need help. It took me 3 weeks, several emails and making several trips to speak to the fitness Mgr. I was going to move my account from paying monthly to Silver Sneakers and the trainers we're not working out for me. Maybe this is why I was ignored. I was very disappointed...
I came in yesterday to sign up after 4 years! Gustavo Rodríguez took GREAT care of me and I was able to get the membership I wanted. This new location is amazing!! I liked how they have an outdoor equipment so you can workout in the winter. Overall great experience can’t wait to start seizing results!
Good gym, nice staff. It's just always packed and seems like the machines are always down. Sauna is out every other week, it's ridiculous but I think that's due to the people messing with it. So I can't blame eos for that, but it seems like they take forever to respond to fix it.
I have been having issues with my membership since I signed up on the first day of them opening. However I was able to finally get my issues resolved this morning by Billie Webb he was patient and understanding and got it resolved. Great customer service thanks for the help!!!
There is a variety of equipment, there multiple ways to achieve your goals whatever your goals may be. The staff is friendly and courteous and they always make you feel welcomed. Bottom line, I love lifting weights and doing HIIT cardio. This is the place to get it done.
This is by far the best gym I have ever had a membership to. The equipment and all amenities included with the membership are great. If you like a gym that is cheap, clean, has plenty of equipment, and great atmosphere, then this is the gym for you.
Hey Jerry at front desk. If you’re not getting people to sign up harassing guest is not the moves either. “VIP” guest is just you’re way to bombard my guest with sign up requests. Don’t turn this into a scam to get new clients by bothering guests.
Best looking EōS facility I’ve been to in the valley. The parking lot made it seem super busy at first but inside there’s plenty of equipment to go around. Only complaint I have is the lack of shower towels. They only had puny ones when I visited.
How you got a line just to check in tbey wouldnt let us just scan in cuz 2 other ppl had questions about memberships shouldnt u have membership counslers for that smh yeah i see now why it gots such ahitty rating now
This is a very new EoS and not yet completely packed. So of you're looking for an escape from the other crowded EoS... Has some cool new equipment that can track your progress- check it out! …
Tony Tran is awesome the classes are great. That's the reason for my 4 stars. The phone and front desk staff needs more training on the company and policies as well as customer service skills.
Enrollment Center is the worst for customer service. Emails say one thing employees in the Enrollment Center say another thing. My advice don't join an EŌS that hasn't fully open.
Used to be a 5 star until they decided to be difficult. Terrible manage name Jordan, with no rapport with customers. Incompetent and unable to de escalate a simple situation.
Excessively busy at most times, full of people hogging equipment, some of them abusing equipment as evidenced by the number pieces already out of service.......disappointing!
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very spacious compared to other locations and love the outdoor "garage" workout area. Highly recommend this location for working out.
I'm not happy with the daycare... Great teachers, but not much to do. Very empty! As for equipment and the classes, great. But will be driving to another location for now.
Gym is outstanding the parking lot however wasn’t planned out well hardly any parking and even less handicap parking for us with placards maybe three four spaces total.
10 days in many of the relaxation/recovery chairs dont work have broken pieces etc..Sauna has never been open.Cryolounge not open. E fitness board is a blank screen.
How often does the Sauna get broken? How about weekly? Like come on, this should be a brand new facility. I guess EOS has cheap part because things break down a lot!
Great service. Gustavo was very helpful and welcoming when I went to sign up. He was very patient and had much respect. The gym also looks really clean and modern.
Waited 3 years for an EOS in our area. Super happy. They just need to purchase the dirt area and convert it to parking. Also not put an oil change in front of it
They have everything u need and 24hrs is a plus. Not too busy around the time I lift. I do dislike they allow filming. Girls with thier stupid selfi sticks.
From the enrollment center to the actual gym, this whole process has been a disaster, disappointment!!!!! They are trained to lie and take your money!
Very crowded and a little dirty Has a little more than your typical EOS good outdoor area and a working sauna. Need to get 59th and Baseline on STAT
This facility opened August 2023. The equipment is great and the staff is fantastic. However, the pool has been cloudy for 10 days. …
Amazing Gym. Friendly staff, clean, busy but I never have to wait for equipment, plenty of group classes with wonderful instructors
The only reason I'm not giving this five stars is because it's way too crowded during peak hours. Other than that, the gym is great
Gustavo just helped us and he’s very professional and he gave us a tour of the gym he’s well recommended he did an excellent job
I am paying the membership for nothing. I am unable the access the gym due to the lack of parking. It is better to get a refund.
Staff at night was dismissive and rude. Will not be returning to this location even though it is nice due to unpleasant staff.
Had a great experience! Jasmine on staff team did a wonderful job at assisting me and making me feel welcomed! Great job
Kenya C. Awesome trainer! Wanted to build out my chest and this man has the wisdom and knowledge and made it happen!!!
Love it just down the street from where I live. Gots everything I really need plus the price! All around convenie t
Excellent gym for the money. Cool machines, and plenty of selection. Love the movie area, makes cardio fly by!
Body Pump is in my lane. I enjoy the different instructors at the 19th Ave location. CJ, Marlon and Jaime C.
Excellent services, great exercise machines, and everything is clean. Attentive and professional staff .
Recently open and they sauna does not work, the towels service neither, not enough machines.
I come every morning, and Jackie at the front desk greets me every morning with a nice smile
To be honest this place is so Amazing , To me is 100% Amazing, I really love everything here
Great gym, new equipment, clean and friendly staff! Alfredo was extremely helpful.
Love the new equipment. I love the outdoor gym, and I also like the movie theater
First time switching over to Eo, it's honestly the best time of my life. …
Entre Aber tiene muchas máquinas de ejercicios boi air a deportes me fasino
Clean, well set up gym. Built for high volume. State of the art equipment.
Beautiful facility. Lots of equipment including plenty of squat racks.
Plenty of exercise equipment to go around fairly busy most of the time
Me gusta por que esta muy surtido de maquinas , todo tipo de maquinas
So far love it . Friendly, clean and tons of stuff to use
Cool place 2 workout. There are always alot of ppl there.
All new equipment, clean, and not crowded! Love it.
I love the sauna and the pool and the gucuzi
Dope place a real good workout environment
EDIT: GRAND OPENING IS AUGUST 29 at 2PM
Great gym, horrible training program.
Aun no tienen fecha de apertura ???
Do they ever empty the trash cans?
Good gym and prices are great!
Kinda of busy but not to crazy
Great. 24 hrs has everything
Very clean and helpful staff
They clean. I am happy.
Best EOS in the valley.
Always a great place...
Same as every other gym
Great costumer service
Great gym and staff
Clean and new
