We hate car buying generally and prior to finding Eclipse Motor Co. we dealt with sleazy finance managers, unequipped salesmen, a classic bait & switch, and every other stereotypical experience from large dealerships. Sean & Jack at Eclipse Motor Co. completely changed this experience for us. We found a vehicle we were interested in online and dropped in without an appointment. They made time for us immediately even though they were a little busy to make sure we could see the vehicle we were interested in. We were welcomed and taken to the vehicle we wanted to see right away. There was no wasted time answering a million questions or trying to be lead to something else we weren't interested in. We test drove the van and were very happy. Everything was way better than expected, great condition, better than we could have imagined from photos and info online. Jack was very educated and knowledgeable about all the vehicles in their inventory. He was great at providing all necessary information and highlighting features of the car without extreme pressure or gimmick sales tactics. Great customer service. We then sat with Sean (owner) to go over pricing and financing information. We weren't stuck with a salesman at a large dealership that had no power to make decisions or had to go check with someone else to get any info. Quickly we were offered a fair price for our trade-in, provided with a total cost and full break down of the vehicle we were interested in, and talked through a few different monthly payment scenarios based on what I thought would work best for us. When our credit check came back a bit lower than we originally expected, Sean handled it with extreme professionalism. He made us aware of the change and how it would affect our overall loan/monthly payment and made sure everything still worked for us before moving on. No unexpected fees/costs! Anything that wasn't listed in the original price online was low cost and reasonable/necessary (registration fees, etc). I've bought and sold cars numerous times through dealerships and private parties, and my experience with Eclipse Motor Co. was easily the best I've ever encountered. First off, the cars are all exceptionally taken care of. I always take the used car I'm looking to purchase, to my trusted mechanic, and even he was surprised that there wasn't any issue mechanically with the car. Secondly, the "no pressure" sales tactics from both Logan and Sean. I've never enjoyed going to a dealership and having to wait while the salesperson goes to "talk to their manager" while leaving me to sit for endless amounts of time. At Eclipse, Sean accommodated everything to my schedule. There was no rush to get things signed, pressure to buy the car today because it might be gone tomorrow, etc. I was able to look at the car thoroughly, test drive it, have my mechanic inspect it, and then make my own decision if it was the right car for me or not. Finally, the pricing was better than any other dealer I had visited. I've been looking for a specific car for over two months, so I knew my price point, had my financing set up, and knew what the price I wanted for my trade in. Upon sitting down with Sean, every single one of those aspects (price, financing and trade in) beat any other dealer's offer by a huge margin. This small dealer is Large on great cars and honesty. I've been looking for a nice roadster convertible and I've looked at cars by individuals which I really thought was the best way to buy the car. Come on Sean. No price was agreed upon when I decided to fly out and purchase the truck. Secondly, you have an moral obligation to stand behind your products. It is obvious that you refuse to do so. Driving 500 miles home is hardly anything. So to have repairs needed shortly after I return home and Eclipse Motors refusing to pay for them, is unconscionable way to do business. I informed you that I was going to take the truck to my mechanic to inspect the truck upon my return. Because he was available for almost a month, I took it to the Ford Dealership because they had openings. Your "tale light warranty" is something that prospective buyers need to be aware of. In case you are unfamiliar with the term, it means that as soon as the tail lights can no longer be seen, the warranty has expired. As I said in my previous post, your competitors like Carmax offer reasonable warranties. You need to step up to your competitor's integrity.

Let me begin my review by saying I hate to shop for cars. Basically we were trying to find a small dealer that followed covid guidelines and we ended up choosing Eclipse mainly because you can schedule an appointment to visit and test drive. We drove a Toyota truck and decided it was not for us. Logan and Ed suggested we try the Toyota RAV4. I need to add that they were extremely low pressure and really cared about our needs. We loved the car and purchased it that same day. Thank you Eclipse for giving me a stellar buying experience. Skip the larger high pressure dealers and visit Eclipse Motors. This was hands down the best car buying experience I have EVER had. Updated 12.21.20 Although we loved our buying experience we did have a post sale hiccup. Easiest car I ever bought and I don’t even live in Arizona! My sister and her husband had raved about Sean and the quality of his cars so I put in my order for my dream car. As I was in no hurry, I was willing to wait until that car showed up at auction. When it did, I said “yes,” and he got it for less than expected. Then, he and his team thoroughly went over the car to make sure it was in perfect condition. I chose to have the car delivered to me in California and it showed up exactly as promised and in pristine condition. It looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor! Yesterday, I had experienced one of the worst mornings I have ever had. In fact, the morning was so bad that I almost didn't go view the Nissan Leaf that I was scheduled to see. Though I didn't end up getting the car I wanted (credit reasons) the staff did everything in their power to help me.
