Very similar experiences to the rest of the bad reviews to summarize. Details below for anyone interested: 1. Your pet is caged in the back and you’re not allowed and you will hear them crying.. also doesn’t matter cat/dog all cages next to each other, and you’re not allowed to go in. That wasn’t even the reason why I will never go there again. 2. They made my pet sick by over-medicating him. They gave him 2 vaccinations and a drop, we got home and he got really sick, we called and let them know of it. When we took him back they washed away the drops. They treated his illness and charged us for all of it. No apology whatsoever acted like it was our fault. We lost trust in this situation, but even this wasn’t the reason for this review. 3. The drops they gave us last time, we found it much cheaper at a pharmacist so we called the pharmacy where they needed the prescription sent from the clinic, called the clinic they said they would send it. Couple hours later did a follow up call to see if they did, and the pharmacy said they never got a call. We called back the clinic and asked them why they haven’t called and they said they don’t do that and the pharmacy has to call them. Called the pharmacy and they also said they won’t call. We then called back the clinic to see what we can do and they advised us to grab the paper prescription to take to the pharmacy, we told them no problem and that we would go there to pick it up the following day, they said ok. Before we went back to the clinic we called them to ask if the prescription was ready for us to pick up and that we’re on our way, they said yes. When we got there, not only there were no prescription, there was no vet available to give the prescription (mind you there were at least 6 pet patients waiting to meet the vet - I know right, who is treating your pet back there??).. the guy at the front, who by the way mumbles so much that I had to ask him to use his words clearly, said “there was a miscommunication and that they will not be able to give me the prescription” however I could buy it from them directly today! (Of course!) I told him this was unacceptable and that they must do something about it. He did not once apologize. When I told them if we can’t get this sorted out today, they will be losing a patient and the answer I got was “very well”. On the way out, I run into the “so called vet who can’t give prescription” and told him the service here is unacceptable he said that I was being disrespectful to the client who had appointments without even knowing the back end of the story and the fact that I did make an appointment the day before to come in and get a prescription written.. Save yourselves and pets the stress and the money and go somewhere else, there are way better vets all around us. This is just not worth it.

Stay away! Worst attitude ever! Stuff is mean and apathetic. They are all about money only! Trying to sell you unnecessary services and vaccines and unnecessary services and vaccines don’t care about your pet’s health. Always late, because of a lot of other clients. Make you spend there entire day. Today I came to get a prescription for Bravecto, I spent more than an hour, and they promised to email me the prescription and I had to call them and email them couple of times to remind. I still didn’t get anything btw. They don’t value your time at all. Like one of the ladies told me “If you’re in a rush that doesn't mean we have to be too.” And,of course payment was in advance. So eventually, 3hrs ago, I paid and still got nothing. And it’s only about the prescription for $58! When they do shots or tests they don't allow you to be there with your pet, they take them away. So you never know if they will do something or steal your time and money. I had a different and much better experience before in LA and will be looking for some new vet here in Miami. Stay away!

Let’s go with the facts and make this review simple. I’m a nurse and here is my experience with this pet clinic. 1. They quoted me almost $3,000 for my dogs dental surgery. The vet tech went over prices, not the vet himself. If i was going to have questions I think it should have been the person doing the surgery answering them. I went to Orlando and got the surgery done for about $700.00. They did an excellent job. 2. I called them twice and left a message with the secretary/ vet tech to return my phone call to discuss changing my dogs food away from grain free (due to concerns of heart failure). He never returned my call. 3. I am now switching his care to another vet and I received edgewater pet clinic’s medical records. It appears his cardiovascular assessment was abnormal (he has a heart murmur). On his last visit this was never mentioned and I was told everything was normal. THIS IS A SIGN OF HEART FAILURE. Overall these people are not personable and don’t care about your pet. They try to up-charge and sell you on things that aren’t even relevant.

Lleve a mi gato súper enfermo con mucha sangre en su orina, el Doctor lo atendió y le mando droga y exámenes, por un total de $250 USD, eso fue un vienes y dijo que el lunes nos llamaba para dar los resultados. Llegó el lunes, martes, y nunca llamó! Yo llame en repetidas ocasiones y me contestaba un Hombre, al parecer el recepcionista con una pésima actitud, diciendo que sólo tenían una parte del resultado que esperar la supuesta llamaba del Dr. El doctor nunca llamó y me toca ir persona por los exámenes, cuando llegue me dijeron que los exámenes se demoraban 2 semanas! Exigí que me entregaran el resultado que tenían y lo mande a otro Dr, quien de inmediato me dio un diagnóstico, mando una ecografía y un tratamiento. Aún estoy estoy esperando la llamada del Doctor, perdí el dinero y la salud de mi gatito empero en los días de espera. Que tristeza que jueguen así con el tiempo y con la salud de las mascotas. Pésimo servicio! No lleven a sus mascotas a este lugar y menos si tienen una condición delicada!

In new to the Miami area I have a rescue who i’ve had for 8 years that was abandoned in a travel kennel when he was a puppy. He gets extreme anxiety if locked in a Kennel or a cage. When I set my appointment I made this clear to Edgewater vet clinic. They said not to worry, your dog will be in his own private room. About 5 minutes after they took my dog to the back, I could hear him crying and very anxious. I asked to wait in the “room” with my dog or allow him to wait in the lobby with me until the doctor was ready for him. They said no. I can’t wait with him due to covid. I asked for my dog back bc I was just going to leave. The tech said I had to wait until he finished doing sone data entry before I was allowed to get my dog back. I stormed into the back and sure enough my dog was in a cage!!! SHAME ON YOU EDGEWATER VET CLINIC!!! DONT TRUST THEM!! The tech couldn’t give a straight answer on cost the entire time I was there either FYI.

As soon as we moved to Miami we began to attend our dog (french bulldog) in this veterinarian, 1 year of pills, injections, changes of food to the most expensive, probiotics, they did all kinds of tests and gave you the results without explaining " the doctor” told you I'll call you after 6 pm and NEVER called…. I called him again and his assistant told me that today he was going to call me after 6pm…. AND I NEVER CALLED… .. last week I took my dog to a new vet and as soon as they saw her they told me that there was something wrong with her belly that is why her skin reacted badly…. Maybe I was unlucky or I don't know, but I'm telling you my experience... if you love her pet, don't take her to this vet, they don't care about her pet, they just get more money from you

Do not recommend going here unless you want your pet to pretty much be overdosed by them. I have been giving my dog heartworm medication for months now and today my husband took her in for a “shot” only to find out it was heartworm medication because they didn’t know that we already were giving it to her..... they APPROVED of the medication we were giving to her on a monthly basis AND my husband told them that we were giving her heartworm medication and they did not listen. Now we are $138 out and my dog is throwing up thanks to them. When I called and spoke to their response was “sorry you’re right there was a miscommunication on our part.” DO NOT GO HERE THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY. I will never go back- they clearly care more about profit than your pet.

It's not that they were bad, the doctor is good, very nice guy and the staff was nice too, BUT when i take my dog in for an upset stomach and we identify the cause they still try to get you to do 10 other procedures and take home a bunch of medicines that you don't need. The treats she was eating we're the cause...but he wanted to do a pancreas test, give her 3 different meds, special food, a check up 2 weeks later. Stuff that added up to over $200! Listen I love my dog and I know my dog, I'm not gonna make the vet rich just because they "recommend" all those things...I'm not stressing my dog out or putting a million antibiotics in her cause he wants to "see how it goes"...I'll probably find a new vet, I only went there cause it was on short notice.

Avoid this place at all cost: After bringing my dog here for a year, I’ve given up. The entire staff lacks professionals - from the front desk to the vet: e.g. vet showing up 90 minutes late to an appointment, not returning phone calls or sending follow up emails for insurance, not even picking up the phone. It’s not worth the experience let alone the price. What about the time I brought my dog in for a breathing problem and they prescribed him a cough medicine even though he didn’t have a cough? I called them later asking why that happened and they said he didn’t need to take it but they wouldn’t take the medicine back and refund me. It is evident that no one cares about you or your pets - they only care about checking the box for corporate.

There's always a story at this pet clinic. They're always just trying to squeeze money out of you. They put a shorter-term vaccine on my pet just so that they could get me to come in 6 months later to get more money out of the second visit. While there for the other vaccine, I was trying to get some documentation to travel, even though I was already paying willing to pay to fill out the documentation, they wanted to charge me more because the paper was not included as part of the original scope. Overall, not a good experience. It's always a surprise with these guys so be ready. Forgot to mention - the actual reason why I brought the pet today and they guy didn't even provide any feedback on the issues with my pet. These guys are the worst.

I have really loved my experience with EdgeWater Pet Clinic. Specifically Dr. Czamanski is so knowledgeable and compassionate. Typically we have only needed to use veterinary services for vaccines and standard medications, but I have been dealing with some serious neurological issues in my dog recently. Dr. Czamanski has been so helpful; referring me to all the right specialists, providing all the information he can based on his personal experience and knowledge with these complex issues, and calling to check on my dog and make sure we have everything we need. It is not easy to find a vet who you feel like genuinely has your pet's best interest at heart and I am so thankful to have someone I can count on.

La peor experiencia de nuestras vidas llevamos a nuestro peludo senior un Pug 16 años por una recomendación y le hicieron una cantidad de estudios para chequear todo entre ellos un examen de orina al día siguiente nuestro amado Koy sangrando por la orina pueden creerlo. Los resultados de los exámenes salieron todos muy bien nos informó el Veterinario Rafael Stredel. Al día siguiente fuimos obviamente no llevamos a nuestro peludo a este sitio poco profesional y el Sr Rafael nos informó que si ese procedimiento podía haberle causado ese sangramiento. Vamos a llevar esto hasta las últimas consecuencias ahora lo importante es llevar a Koy a un Veterinario de verdad para que lo puedan curar.

Worst PLACE ever. The guy Rafael Stredel it's a RIPPED OFF All he cares is to make sure he sell medicine and will tell you that the dog has "something" so he can sell and sell his "stuff". I took my dog there for the 1 st time and I had the worst experience ever. Even my dog was shaking the whole entire time. ( Dogs are very smart). I didn't have a good feeling. After I got home my Dog stsrted acting super weird. My dog is a very hyper dog. I don't know wha the hell they did to my dog but he is not acting the same All I can tell you TO PLEASE do not take your dog to this guy without enough experince and charging crazy money. So expensive and NOT worthy. JUST BE CAREFUL.

Cero profesionales, inicialmente todo estuvo bien en la consulta, pero luego de un pago muy alto nunca volvieron a contestar el teléfono ni enviar un correo con los resultados de mi Gato finalmente conseguí los resultados en una llamada diciendo que iría con la policía si me volvían a dejar en espera o no respondían a mi solicitud del resultados de los exámenes que ya había pagado. Muy raro esto unas instalaciones aceptables un doctor que parece ser muy profesionales unas asistentes muy antipáticas pero cobrar y desaparecer... Mmmm.... Mi gato estaba a la espera de una intervención y todo quedó en la valoración inicial y los exámenes que el sugerio.

I was very concerning about where I had to take my pet Tina for dental cleaning. She's 11 years old and I was scared about the anesthesia for her age. I made a research between my friends an family and I was lucky because one close friend spoke to me about this place. After I spoke with Dr. Stredel and to know his staff I knew that I had chosen the right place. During Tina's procedure they were in contact with me. Tina's recuperation was so fast and they were checking trough the phone about her, when she was home. I highly recommend this clinic. Doctor Stredel and his staff are really professionals and very nice people.Was a pleasure had known them.

This clinic is a scam! I came here to get heartworm prescription medication and received it but they are slick and only let you place orders for medicine through them instead of giving you a paper slip and you ordering CHEAPER medication elsewhere. Now I need a refill (I was given 6 mos worth of refills) and they will not honor it because they want me to do heartworm treatment there which I won’t! It’s hundreds of dollars more than it is anywhere else. Go somewhere else instead of this SCAM!

Dr. Stredel is a kind and caring vet and I have enjoyed interacting with the whole team. He does not order any unnecessary tests and completes a thorough exam. He continues to see my cat even though she has been known to attack. Despite my cat's challenging nature, I feel that I am getting the best care for her. Yanelly is also excellent and has provided in home care for my cat while we are away. The entire staff is polite and understanding over the phone.

I have had pets all my life and this vet clinic it is hands down the best one I have ever been. They are very clean, helpful, profesional, and most importantly, caring! All my babies have always received exceptional care every single time, from simple vaccines and check ups to X-rays, ultrasounds, and even dental extractions! Dr Stredel and Yanely have definitely helped improve the quality of life of my pets, I recommend them 100%

Dr. Stredel is an excellent veterinarian. He takes his time to explain treatment plans, procedures and follow up. My french bulldog had a mass on his right leg and from the first visit with Dr. Stredel, the initial evaluation, fine needle aspiration, surgery and follow up were excellent. The staff is also amazing. I would recommend Dr. Stredel and his staff. Your pets are in great hands with Edgewater pet clinic.

I went to this vet 2x because my cat wouldn't stop scratching. I told the vet several times that it was coming from his ears, but he told me several times that it was a food problem, not an ear problem. I went to another, more competent vet who told me that my cat had a serious ear mite problem. And, they're always late. I've never been to this clinic without waiting at least 45 minutes.

Front desk girl is extremely rude I called 2 other clinics and they were happy to help me and answer my questions. At this clinic the front desk girl just stated she is a front desk girl and there is not much she can answer. When I asked to speak to someone else and insisted on answers to my questions she hung up on me. STAY AWAY another typical unprofessional Florida establishment.

The 1st consultation is free. This means they didn't do anything but told me I have a bad cat!! Then they wanted to charged me over $200 for some shots. It's just a cat!! The doctor didn't acknowledge me or bothered to say hello, while he was adoring someone's dog, with a high pet bill. Never will I go again!! Terrible experience!! They kept on asking for money.....

We took our dog and cat here during our 4 month stay in Miami and we appreciated the care and transparency of the whole team. Dr. Stredel is very knowledge and took the time to explain each recommendation/ procedure, including an unexpected tooth extraction for our pup. We will be back when we are back in the city and recommend for anyone in the area.

My dog Sake, a Goldendoodle, has been a patient of Edgewater pet clinic for 4 years already, they are the best in town. We have had a couple of emergencies, the first one, Sake as a baby ate a lizard and was puking nonstop and the second he ate an avocado, In both situations the quality of service was excellent. To tag along all the bad reviews, I will make this simple. They overdo it with tests and medications all for the money and they have no interest in making your pet healthy. In fact, they make them sicker! Please find another vet. There are plenty good ones a little north. If anyone knows where to report them, please help …

These guys take great care of my puppy. When I had an international trip and wanted to bring my puppers they took the extra time to look up the custom requirements and made sure to get me the best package that would cover all my needs. They prepared paperwork for the USDA and everything. Will definitely be back!

I am continuously impressed by the professionalism and caring nature of this clinic. We have been to many vets in Miami which have been fine but Edgewater Pet Clinic goes above and beyond. Took my two dogs to get their heartworm test done to get them started on preventatives and it went well! We were able to wait with our dogs in a room and Dr. Stredel answered any questions I had in regards to their diet and overall health. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Appt scheduled for 9am. Arrive at 9am. The doors are locked. Opening time posted on the door and google maps is 8am. When they let me in 9:05, the staff says the vet won't be in until 9:30. Sitting in the waiting room with another customer who had this same exact problem 3 days ago.

I’m in love with this animal hospital! I got an appointment for the next day, was seen with in 10 minutes. Dr. John Kim and his assistant are so gentle, loving and communicate well. I felt that my cat was in great hands. I’m so glad I chose this practice to take care of my baby!

I brought my Bernese, Darcy to Edgewater Pet Clinic because she had been licking her paw uncontrollably. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the doctor gave her the meds and care that she needed. I will be going there from now on. I liked them better than her other vet.

Best veterinarian in Miami. They treat my dog as family, they lay on the floor with him. The entire staff is great, Dr. Rafael is very knowledgeable and is always right about treatment. My dog also loves the place and he is never affraid to pay them a visit.

After the way my dog was treated, I will not go back. At first, I was pleased with their team, especially Yanelly, who was very understanding, but if anything ever goes wrong, their attitudes change completely and they will do anything to defend their team.

Edge Water was recommended to me from the people I got my new fur baby from. The staff and Dr. Rafael are very friendly and caring. This is the first veterinarian that any dog I've had is not afraid to go to. They treat your "baby" as if it was their own.

Absolutely loves this place. It is so hard to find a trusting vet in this city. Simon has been helping us with our frenchie for a couple of years now. He just neutered Frida our dog and he was so helpful. Simply the best.
