This place is one of the nastiest restaurants in the DFW. I went to the restroom and caught the manager combing her hair in the kitchen where the food is being made. Then she walks in this room that says office and it’s a bed along with the sauce that is being served to us. The children were in another area with shoes and clothes thrown around! Not sure if this is were the family is living. Not to mention I saw the cook throw food on top of other food with his bare hands. No gloves are used. Please don’t go eat at this restaurant. When you ask for the manager we are actually being told that the manager is not available even though I just saw her combing hair in the kitchen. Yes i have everything on video and they will be going to the health department. This restaurant will give someone food poisoning and from the looks of it they treat the employees like they are nothing. They are working while management shows up drunk. No one was even there to open the doors until 8am even though the sign says they open at 7 this is not the first time. I live right up the street and I have friends that can vouch that the restaurant is not open. Bad management and nasty is what these people are serving! Don’t go here!!! Texas Department of health services is being notified!!!!!

The food is usually very good, large selection of dishes. However the management is terrible. We stood at the entrance for 10 mins only to wait another 10 mins for them to clean off a table while leaving it to help other guests. The waitress asked for order of drinks only took my daughters order and came back with one drink, then took the other 4 drink orders and went back because she forgot one. She took our order and told us it was going to be a while because they were behind( understandable), 30 mins later they brought out the dishes and forgot one dish. My daughters Minnie Mouse pancake was burnt completely on one side and they still served it. 15 mins later I asked about a side of fruit which wasn’t brought out. The waitress said it’s because they were out and they were cutting fresh fruit. Never brought it out and still added it to my bill. We had to ask for napkins, straws and got our own hot sauce off another table. No one asked if we needed refills despite the empty cups at the table. “Under New Management” sign is just a ploy. This place is run by what appears to be nothing but teenagers with little to no direction.

This was very disappointing for me and my husband. We do not eat out often but decided to give this restaurant a try. Now, I recall this restaurant being a Chinese buffet restaurant previously which was terrible....from the front door to the back door, but I thought that maybe being a breakfast spot it would've been different. I was very wrong in that assumption. I had the steak breakfast...steak was tough as rubber, I have TMJ, so having to chew like that really gave me issues later, my husband had the crepes which was presented to him as a rolled up pancake (naked) no fruit, whipped cream... nothing! My order came with pancakes, served with cold syrup...the pancakes were store bought frozen pancakes and if the syrup was hot it would not have helped those pancakes at all. When we walked in the place was empty....no breakfast crowd at all....we wanted to leave but didn't. Wish we had because this was a waste of time and money....we may try one of the other locations (maybe) the others may be better....

I gave the benefit of the doubt that this place would serve good breakfast as I'm a breakfast aficionado and have tried Eggsellent Cafe before at another location. This place looks like trash (which initally wasn't an issue), but the service was also sub par - as they messed my order up. Fixing the order wasn't too much of an issue either, but if I was to depend on anyone serving refill for water, I would be like sand because once I needed water, no one came to ask if everything was alright nor came with a pitcher to refill anything! My conduct wasn't unseeming nor was I ever disrespectful, so why am I being treated this way?!? When I went to pay, no recognition of my meal...almost silent except to ask me to sign my receipt. I don't care what the establishment is and where it's located. Me as a respectable individual should be respected and treated with greater value than what I just experienced.

Quite shockingly pleased and surprised at how truly good and tasty the food was and very not. Common in any way at all. The only thing about the whole visit was that the coffee was not steaming hot but just warm. This was rectified when the next pot was brewed and served to us with apologies and well wishes on better coffee and hopefully the rest of the meal would be a little better. It in fact was.....and quite a bit more than little.i got the eggs Benedict with avocado sliced. I asked for mine made with sour dough lightly toasted and my hash browns to be made with light heat so that they would be soft and not hard and easily chewed and swallowed.everything was excellent and very tasty. I would have to recommend Eggselent Cafe with 7 out of 5 stars . Along with the friendly staff and fair pricing this is a place not to be missed....especially since you just might with the out of the way position and signing..

We had driven by this cafe a few times and finally decided to stop by for breakfast after our morning walk, and we were not disappointed one bit!! The customer service was exceptional! Everyone working was so nice, welcoming and each one of them checked on our table eventhough they were not attending our table! The food was amazing also! I had just a classic breakfast. Eggs were seasoned perfectly, sausage had a good kick and pancakes were so fluffy! My friend had the biscuits and gravy which were inside of an omelette and looked fantastic! The food is excellent, what they remember to send. Today is the third time my order has been screwed up. I order delivery so it is not like they can easily fix it. When we call and complain it is never let us fix it, it is well you can bring it back and we will correct it. I ORDERED IT DELIVERED. Once they forgot to put the eggs on my plate. Today makes twice that I have had my biscuits and gravy show up without the gravy. Biscuits AND Gravy should have given them a clue. Today marks the last time I will order from Eggcellent. Chubby's is just down the road on Cockrell Hill and I-20, I have ordered from there 100's of times and never had my order show up incorrect, so I cannot speak on how they deal with fixing an incorrect delivery because they get it right the first time EVERY time.

This place was a great experience! They have a great variety of food options and their staff are very courteous. They greet you just as you walk in and let you pick your seats. The food comes out quickly, looks fresh, and taste delicious. We had the steak and chilaquiles, the enchilada plate, and the triple berry pancakes. The chilaquiles and enchiladas had an authentic Mexican flavor, the sauce had a kick. The steak was tender and flavorful. The pancakes had so much fruit and the just the right amount of mascopone no syrup was necessary. Eggsellent cafe is the breakfast place I was looking for because it has all of the typical greasy diner options and sweets you usually have to visit fancy places for. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Really sad to say that while I was sick, I had my niece pick up a to go order from there. First of all, you cannot call them because their phone number does not work. So you cannot request any substitutions like turkey, bacon, or ask them what type of soup they have for the day. Received a very poorly packaged poorly executed meal from them today. The pancakes were undercooked, the grits had no seasoning and no flavor and were dry, the soup taste bad, I can’t even eat it because I’m afraid it will make me sick and it was in a very small cup that I paid five dollars for. I have been inside this place two or three times, but I will never eat here again because of my experience today especially, since you can’t even call them.

This is the best breakfast I have had in years. The ribeye is so soft and tasty that you don't have to keep chewing to enjoy the flavor. I suggest going here first before going to Saltgrass for a ribeye. The eggs Benedict are phenomenal and the small diced tomatoes mixed with sautéed onions and bell peppers were so delicious. Absolutely great service. You can tell that the food was made with great love and pride.

I was blown away by how good my breakfast was. I ordered the steak skillet with my eggs over easy and a side of banana, Nutella crêpes. My steak was juicy well seasoned and succulent. This was honestly the most savory breakfast steak I’ve had in a while the hashbrowns on my skillet had tomatoes, feta cheese, spinach, onions, and bell peppers. This was such an amazing mixture my only dislike were the crapes. They were very mushy and Doughy. It was almost like they were turning to liquid once I cut into them not the best crepe I have had. So I am hoping the next time I visit the crepes will be better.

Ordered this for delivery so I get that it’s not going to be fresh and crispy. BUT what that didn’t change was the fact that even Waffle House would have been better than this place. We ordered the berry waffles and while they LOOKED fantastic they where absolutely terrible. The mascarpone tasted like it was pure cottage cheese (99% sure it was) and made them completely inedible. The sausage was horrendous, and the everything else was meh at best. Was super excited to try this place but was very disappointed and honestly don’t know how they messed up the easiest meal of the day.

This place is one of Oak Cliffs hidden gem. Faye our waitress was amazing, she was quick to suggest some wonderful tasty dishes. She was always was ready to keep our coffee cups nice a filled with a big smile on her face. I walked in with low expectations and left with high expectations of the place. I ordered here Togo. Mind you I live right around the corner from this store. When I tell you the food taste so old my hash browns were gummy and dry couldn’t break it apart with a plastic fork. My eggs were already brown like as if it’s been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. Sausage seemed as if they saved yesterday’s cooked sausages and still sale them for the next day. And gave them to us. Grits I couldn’t even get them out the container not even with butter. Toast and French toast had the same texture as them browns. So no I wouldn’t be going back there any time soon maybe not at all

We had a brief wait for seating for 2, the service was great and the food was amazing. The steak skillet with hash browns with onions and peppers, scrambled eggs topped with feta and monterrey jack and French toast. The original with ham, pancakes, home fries and scrambled eggs was equally delicious.

First off the tables were disgusting when we were seated. They had honey or syrup all over. They sent someone who didn’t even work on that to come wipe them off. It took 10 minutes to get a drink order and after receiving them, it took another 15 min to get our order in. After 20 min we had the server come and tell us that the caprice wasn’t available. This restaurant is soooo underrated! My two friends and I tried this restaurant out today and we were surprised how delicious the food is! Our pancakes were so fluffy and our omelette was also very thick. Stopped by this place because of the highly reviewed hashbrowns and pancakes. I’m happy to say they lived up to the hype. The food was good. It has a greasy spoon diner vibe food-wise which was well executed. The murals outside are super cute. The inside decor may throw you off, since it seems like it used to be a Chinese restaurant. The reviews are not accurate, in my opinion. Service was good I won't deny but the food was less than adequate. Migas are not migas it's huevo con chorizo, chile, tomato, and onion with tortilla chips strips, the wrap had the chicken placed and somewhat cut through with a knife, and the pancakes are dry. If there's any improvements I would give it a second chance but as of now we will not be returning.

Waiter was very sweet but came by way too much to see if we were ready to order when we clearly still looking at our menus. Food was very bland. Fruit was not fresh at all. Over priced food for the poor quality. A bottle of hot sauce at our table was broken and by the way of the old dried up hot sauce on the condiment rack, it had been there awhile. The salt and pepper shakers we're pretty much empty. Our booth seats were cracked and no padding.

I just have to say that their food is amazing. Jessica is the sweetest most attentive waitress ever and Chef Jose omg this guy is heaven sent....the steak skillet is the bomb! Everything he touches comes out Gold....I would not only give them 10 stars if I could but I also recommend this restaurant to EVERYONE!!!

Our family really enjoyed the breakfast here. Our family had the Very Berry French Toast, Eggsellent Skillet and 2X4. I wish I would have taken pictures. Food was displayed perfectly on the plate. Staff was very friendly and efficient. We had Andrea, who greeted us with a smile each time she came to the table. If I had one criticism, it would be the decor is dated. But the food far outshines the decor.

The food is very good. The staff seemed a bit frazzled and kinda disorganized but they were all very polite and we went in for our first visit patient and not knowing what to expect. Super excited about this "Eggsellent" spot opening right down the road from us. Our server "Love" was outstanding and "Lovely". Our food was delicious and very fast. Can't wait to try lunch here. Had one complaint about the bathroom and the owner said she would fix it. Definitely can see this as a regular hangout. Love it!!!

Food came out HOT and we were asked several times by 3 waiters if we needed anything while we waited. Sunday 10:45am there was no wait. We sat immediately and was taken care of. HIGHLY recommend.

While the food is normally good we waited for 45 mins for our order after placing. Multiple tables after us started receiving their food. Turns out our waitress never put in our order. While the manager did offer to take care of our meal it was already to late due to having to an appointment to make.

Hidden gem in the hood but once you walk in it’s a totally different atmosphere and the food is on point. Great portions for the price…and kids eat free on certain days with the purchase of an adult entree.

Amazing little mom and pop restaurant. The food was delicious, very authentic. The restaurant it’s self was very nice by having a nice collection of art and hispanic decor. Lastly the staff was very helpful and kind. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for some good food.

Delicious,fresh, homemade food! Great portions and prices. Only issue is the water tastes funny to me and that's all I drink, but would not keep me from returning or bringing others to eat there.

Friendly staff! Food was good but except for the coffee and pancakes. Coffee was not fresh and tasted weird same with the pancakes they had a sour taste weird taste.
