El Gato Painting recently painted the exterior of our house, and we are delighted with the results. They have over 40 years of experience in the business, and the quality of their work and their professionalism reflects it. We got proposals from 5 painting contractors and selected El Gato. Their price was not the lowest, but it was quite reasonable compared to some of the others, and we believe they offered us the best value for the money. The whole process, from initial proposal to final completion, was easy and went very smoothly. The entire team gave us top-notch service, from Johnny, who prepared the proposal and patiently answered all our questions, to Melissa, who diligently coordinated the project from the office, to Moses, the onsite foreman, and his crew. The job started and ended on time, exactly as promised. The crew worked efficiently. They were neat, respectful of our property, and cleaned up thoroughly. The crew was easy to work with, paid attention to details, and was happy to handle several small requests we made. Our house looks great! I would use them again, and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for experienced painting pros at a reasonable price.

I was referred to El Gato from a good friend that is also a General Contractor. Having used this GC for 3 years I trusted his referrals and knew that he used El Gato for his own work. Although I was North of El Gato's normal "boundary" (I'm in Forest Hills, SF) in the Bay area - Ken came out within a day of calling and provided a very detailed quote, to include options I didnt even see at first (they do power washing of decks too and refinished my front wood door really fantastic, like new). Needless to say, they came out a week later and power washed the entire house, scraped, cleaned and rinsed again - at the same time they did my deck and rails. A week after that they came out and did my entire house in 2.5 days, bringing four great painters to the site - using the last half day to clean all windows, touch up as needed and walk the entire place with me - fixing anything (ANYTHING!) I called out with no questions. This is the 5th house I have painted in my life (once I did it by myself - boy was I dumb!). I have never worked with such a pleasant crew, accommodating provider and with a great/fair price. 3 neighbors already stopped by to get their name - that's an endorsement!

I had a large interior and exterior paint job on a single family home and received estimates from several companies. In the end, I chose to go with El Gato Painting for a few reasons. Jesus, the estimator gave me a very reasonable estimate. He was very detailed in explaining the quote, and gave me different options in helping me keep within my budget. The crew's prep work was excellent, and they did everything that was outlined in the quote, plus more. I would like to give a special shoutout to Gustavo and Alberto. Gustavo was in charged of painting the interior of house. He did a great job on all the interior wall repair. There were some last minute add-on patching and wall repair, and Gustavo did it promptly with no request for extra charge. Alberto and crew took care of painting the exterior of the house. He did a very good job and the house looks great! Overall, Jesus, Gustavo and Alberto, along with their crew were very responsive, paid great attention to details and did an awesome job. I am very satisfied with the service and will definitely use them again.

I hired El Gato Painting to paint the walls, window sills, baseboards, door jambs, and door trim inside my house and to paint new window trim on the exterior. This job presented 2 challenges:1) the interior trim was a strong contrast to the wall and ceiling color and 2) the ceilings in one room spanned 2 stories. The crew showed up on time. They did a thorough job protecting my furniture and flooring. The crew acted like the professionals they clearly were. The walls and ceiling have good, even coverage. The border between off white wall and dark trim is very today. The crew swept and left my house debris free. The job estimator and back office support were very good at making sure my contract spelled out exactly what I wanted. All in all, it was a pleasure doing business with El Gato Painting. The crews for both interior and exterior understood English, which is always a pleasant bonus in this area.

The painters were on time everyday, they were communicative, friendly and nice. I felt totally comfortable with them at our house. The office picked up the phone when I called and was helpful. They were really nice about speaking with me about adding on paint swatches to look at. They did an excellent job painting the house. They masked everything that needed masked and the paint job was very neat with clean lines. They patched a pice of wood that had gotten ruined by termites with out my asking. They were extremely helpful when I couldn’t decide what color to paint my front door. They put things back where they belonged (large trampoline at side of house that was moved to lawn for painting) and even put the mulch back along the edge of the house (I had scraped it aside), both with out my asking. I would highly recommend them.

Five+ stars for El Gato! The sales/project manager Jonny and foreman Junior were fantastic. We had a shingle restoration and painting project that lasted nearly three weeks and both the process and end result exceeded our expectations. Jonny is a great communicator - he was timely, clear and accurate (including the bid, the work schedule, mid process tweaks, and the follow up/final touch ups). Junior managed the on site team who were professional, meticulous and kept a tidy workspace. I have very high standards and they definitely exceeded them. I was impressed with their follow-through at the end with touch up and clean up (they even changed the color of our front door during this process). It’s nice to have a project go so well, be on budget and exceed my expectations. Thank you!

El Gato Painting did an amazing job painting the whole outside of my Eichler -- old siding, new siding, eaves, trim etc. From my first contact with Melissa who answered the phone when I called for an estimate, to Ken who came out to discuss the job, Paul who power washed, Ken who did a fantastic job matching colors (I wanted exactly the same colors as before), to Alberto the foreman and his great painting crew, I could not have been happier. The job was great - timing exactly as scheduled - and all the people were so pleasant and easy to work with. El Gato has painted my house before and I have always been pleased.
