Janice is a marvel! Not only is she amazing at choosing just the right colors, finishes, and accessories to a project, but she is an absolute pleasure to work with! Janice was recommended to be by a friend when we were enlarging our kitchen. I knew exactly what I wanted in my kitchen for functionality, but was struggling with picking those finishing touches/colors, as I knew I would have to live with our choices for quite some time. For example, I wanted white cabinets because I knew I would always like that, but didn't want my brand new kitchen to appear boring. Janice walked around our home, asking questions and looking at the kinds of things we love, and then came up with several different colors that we could use to paint the island as an accent color. She then brought over two samples painted on wood so we could see exactly what it would look like, and with the special faux finish she would apply. It took my kitchen from boring to beautiful! From the countertop choice, to the backsplash, to the light fixtures and barstools, Janice was there patiently answering my every question. She made suggestions on what items were worth spending a little more on, and other areas where we could save some money. She even painted our red, heavy-looking old brick fireplace with a faux finish that is much softer looking, like limestone. She always offers choices, shows examples, and listens to what we are looking for. After having her help us with our kitchen, I was excited to also call on her when we remodeled an old bathroom. She managed the project and ALL of her subcontractors were delightful to work with as well. You just can't go wrong when you choose to work with Janice!

Janice is the quintessential designer. She is an absolute pleasure to work with. She takes time to listen to your vision and the result is beautiful. Her eye for color, color blending and décor is amazing. Whether it is helping you choose colors, or her paint applications, she does an incredible job. What she does with paint is truly art. She transformed our living room in a short time with color, paint, texture and accessories that were stunning. She chose a color to highlight our granite fireplace and our very small family room went from bland to impressive. She went above and beyond in being cost conscious so we were able to have a beautiful room without stressing over the expense. I have had Janice help me with more than one home. Before downsizing to our current home, she transformed a large, very ugly wood ceiling inset, into a gorgeous piece of art, and painted and stained our dated oak bathroom cabinets making them look new and beautiful. I highly recommend her for color consultation, faux painting or décor consultation. I cannot say enough about the work she does – spectacular!

I hired Janice to come give me paint color ideas for a couple areas of my house. What I really loved is that not only did she give me great ideas for those areas, but also as she was walking inside and outside my house, she gave me lots of ideas for other things that I had not asked about. One of my favorite things she recommended was changing our porch lid from painted stucco to wood that would match our front door. I made this change and it looks amazing! Another recommendation was to paint my staircase and add wallpaper to make a statement wall on the landing. We just had this done and I couldn't be happier. We still need to change the carpet, but this area already looks so much nicer! She also notices small details, such as that we should change the baseboard below our fireplace from trim color to the color of the fireplace surround. Janice has also been available to me by text when I had questions as we were implementing some of her ideas. I would definitely use Janice again and highly recommend her services!

Completely overdue, but Janice turned our house into a completely new space! When we bought our house, it has dark accent walls, and bright purple/green bedrooms. She suggested amazing colors that matched our vision for "modern farmhouse" and made suggestions on how we could improve how the room would look through easy changes (ie.making our ceilings look even taller by painting the walls and ceiling the same color, adding height to our bedroom by painting crown molding the same as our walls/ceiling) and had a plethora of amazing vendors on speed dial to help in a pinch. We get comments on how beautiful the paint is from multiple people. Even my husband sings her praises (and he thought I was crazy for even suggesting we have someone come in). The best $ we've spent thus far to update our home! Added a few before and after shots so you can see the magic of her work.

Janice is absolutely amazing. This is the second project she has worked on with me and I had lost her information...I literally hunted her down because I knew I needed her expertise for this project. We had chosen our floor, countertops and cabinetry, and we needed paint that would tie everything together. Janice had us match the baseboards, casing, and door paint to the cabinets and it really tied it all in. This is not something we ever could have done on our own. She also provided input about the casing we had chosen and we are SO glad we went with her recommendations. Janice just has this expert eye and she is such a pleasure to work with. I recommend her with my whole heart and even our contractor said that what he loves most about the home is the paint...and that is the only thing about our design that didn't come from his team. We could not be happier!

I had a wonderful experience working with Janice. I was pressed with time to select paint colors for my house exterior and when I called Janice, she was able to come over on a very short notice. She not only helped me to narrow down and choose the best color schemes for my house but provided with so many valuable recommendations for my house interior and exterior decor. We recently had Janice faux paint our brick wall in our family room. She transformed this wall from a very dark, dull, red brick to this beautiful Tuscan looking brick. It looks amazing and we could not be happier with it. Everyone who has seen it has given us nothing but compliments. It has brightened our room. in addition, our kitchen overlooks the room and the new faux brick colors compliments both our kitchen countertop and our black splash. Janice is amazing! We joked with her that she was "slumming it" with us, because she came to look at our East Bay house with "only" $1 million or so price tag, far lower than most of her clients. But she spent hours there with us, giving many helpful suggestions on color, design, and beyond. Her fees are extremely reasonable given how much time she spends and her level of expertise. A bargain, really. It was a real pleasure working with her, and we would highly recommend her to anyone.

We recently bought a ‘60s home in Almaden and wanted to keep the cabinets in the kitchen while painting the rest of the house almost completely one color. Janice did awesome she found a color, figured out some requirements we had in the remodeled master bath and threw on some cool pops of color that we never would have thought of. She also reccomended a very competent painter and had other “trades” at the ready. We were thrilled with her service!!!
