I enjoyed it! I got it to go because we were just out walking the dogs. The aroma made my stomach growl! So, on the way back home we grabbed some. I had a pork tamale and my husband a sampler platter of sorts. It was very tasty and plentiful! We are it for dinner and the next days lunch. I would definitely go again! Mmmm
Very nice peaceful place to sit back and have a meal. The service is amazing and they are willing to customize a lot on your orders for your satisfaction. I can’t remember the name of the gentleman at the door but he was also a waiter and he was amazing from the service. He gave two regulars to me as a first timer. More
Best place around. The chips and salsa with an extra side of pico de gallo delicious. The tortilla chips are made in house so they are delicious. Shared a plate of nachos and it was some of the best nachos I’ve had! Not to mention the owner is extremely welcoming and friendly and the service is fantastic!!
Please check your food order to go . You must stay in the restaurant and open the food before leaving. This is the second time it has happened to me, and nobody is to blame but myself. They never get it right, and it's expensive. Chicken and Rice and beams to go with extra rice &30.00. Chicken breast $30. More
Visited for Valentine’s Day dinner looking at the ratings on google but did not find it impressive. The food did not feel fresh. Taste was pretty average. Took wrong orders and charged crazy for final bill. Also the receipt was handwritten we could hardly understand why there were so many extra charges. More
Food and drinks were great. Service friendly and honest. I went ahead with the server's recommendations -both for food and drink- and they didn't disappoint. I thought it was on the pricey side but it is a rich neighborhood after all. Having said that, I will happily come back any time! Enjoy!
They say you can't get good Mexican food in Seattle, but this is an exception. It's a nice little local place with friendly waiters who help you practice your Spanish. The food is great, especially the chipotle sauce. It's not cheap though. 4 people will easily spend $120 here.
Been coming to this restaurant before I could speak or walk. Amazing people and amazing food. Favorite thing to order is their chicken enchilada en mole with a strawberry daiquiri. Yum! Yesterday was the first time I got to try the alcoholic version since I am 21. Delicccious!
our favorite for food and staff. Raul and Alfonso help to keep the friendly family atmosphere going. And best of all the food is great. Tamales get my stars but sometimes I have trouble choosing because it is so good. servings are vary generous. prices are reasonable.
First things first, I live 3 minutes away and have been going there for about 10 years. Everyone who works there is as nice as you can get and the food is consistently really good. They even have cheeseburgers and fries. It's a neighborhood restaurant staple.
Beautiful. People are just great, the ownership is wonderful Mexican food awesome, best in Seattle great working people happy performing birthday parties with candles and singing, myself been eating at this beautiful restaurant over 20 years and I love it.
One of my favorite neighborhood restaurants for tasty, goofy cheese enchiladas and actually everything I have ordered has been tasty and delicious. Great place to meet friends, kid friendly, staff are kind, friendly, fast service and awesome food.
Just returned to Seattle and the food and family here are as good as ever. Perfect place to enjoy family and Mexican food. Love the Pork Caritas & Chili Verde. Another suggestion is tres Mexicana. And don't forget the Cadillac Margherita More
This is my local favorite. The servers are so friendly and the food is great. Excellent spot for families. They have been great during the pandemic as well, doing safe "to go" orders. Can't wait to dine in again after the end of the pandemic.
I’ve grown up on El Ranchon my whole life. When I was a kid it was everyones favorite restaurant in Magnolia. Every family would go there and half the fun was running into your friends, it always felt like a big family. When I was in middle
For the price, I was expecting a little higher quality food (most entrees are 15+ dollars). The beef burrito used pretty low grade ground meat and the sauces just kind of tasted like canned tomatoes. The burger and fries were decent for the
Authenticity warms my heart. Loved the entire experience. You are greeted with a feel as if you just stepped into the door of your abuelas house. Chips and the best salsa I have had thus far in Seattle. I had the fresh margarita which made
As a Texan, I am compelled to write this review - I'll start by saying that the service was great and people welcome you with smiles. However, the margs are alright but for that price I expect better. I wanted to have frozen but you really
Reminds me of home! Love the food, the atmosphere, and the service. Total authentic Mexican comfort food vibes. If you know California Mexican, this is totally up your alley and will leave you happy! Got a chicken enchilada with a glass of
My first time to El Ranchon was on New Year's day. After living in SoCal for many years, Mexican has become my go to cuisine. After moving back to the PNW, I have been quite disappointed in the quality of most Mexican food available here.
We went on Cinco de mayo. We arrived early before the dinner crowd, highly recommended. Entered a warm fiesta style greeting and were treated to live Mexican guitars. The food and drinks were perfect especially the green chile sauce!! At
I am from New Mexico so I find it extremely difficult to find good Mexican food outside of the state. This is the only place I have found outside of NM that has good Mexican food! The environment is nice as well- not too loud or too busy.
Terrible food. And don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t expecting authentic, we ordered a tostada and it was basically a lettuce salad on top of a soggy tortilla with some beans and some bland chicken breast, and they were expecting 14 dls for
One of the most gawd-awful meals I have ever had in my life. I felt like sending it back and requesting mouthwash. My friend ordered the same dish, which arrived cold, so she asked that it be microwaved to heat it up, and it came back
I love these guys. We went for take-out tonight (you know COVID and all) and on our way back to the car after picking up our meals, my son mishandled the bag of with our dinners in it and "caught it" before it hit the ground. In that
Ordered the shrimp wrapped in bacon and a beer. The bacon and shrimp were over cooked, the bacon was crunchy, not crispy, crunchy, the shrimp was very dry. Meal and tip was close to $40. Service was ok, if you like sarcasm. More
Hey here's kind of a throwback Mexican restaurant. Vast array of the classics along with seafood dishes. Indeed, great for families young & old. Nestled on Magnolia main street with easy access. I had the chicken sizzling
Not bad, kind of a loud spot with all the Magnolia families, little leagues, etc. My pork was overcooked and tough so I ate the rice & tortilla + sauce of the pork. Prices are moderate. I likely won't go back again. More
Ignore the 5 star reviews. The salsa was water, the chips were stale, the black beans weren’t cooked or seasoned, the rice was dry. This restaurant would not survive in Texas because the food is so bad.
Been going here since I was a little kid. Everyone always greets and serves you with a smile. The food is consistently incredible, and great both eating in or take out. Ranchon Burrito is my go to meal.
Great Mexican food and welcoming staff who make you feel right at home!! Try the Margaritas super tasty and strong Atmosphere is family oriented and well established here on Magnolia. A must try ! More
Came here with high hopes but was very disappointed. Chicken tasted extra salty but had almost no flavor and was well over cooked. (Tasted very old chicken) Will not be coming again
My family and I just enjoyed a relaxing lunch here. The chips and salsa were so good and the staff kept them coming. My mom and I ordered margaritas that were so fresh and tasty!
The most consistent levels of food & service. Trying new things on the menu will not disappoint either. Recommend ordering a side of their housemade Chipotle sauce. More
Authentic Mexican food, staff is super friendly. Family owned, very tasty food. I appreciate the staff loves speaking Spanish, the margaritas are delightful.
Best salsa I have ever had. Ever. Service is great, and they happily accommodate vegan orders. A fun place to have a casual dinner, and reliably good food.
Been in business 20+ year's. That said it all. Family owned. Worth the drive for non Magnolia residence. Recommend the Tres Mexicanas or Pork Carnitas.
Decent food at a fair price, we had quite the wait, and it was a bit cold when it finally came out. But I would go back, it was very good. More
Great food (I usually get the Pollo ALA crema - delicious!). Love the chips and salsa too. Very friendly staff who provide great service! More
Intensely mediocre. Friendly people ikea everywhere but frozen food from Target has better flavor and value. Step it up, ease, it's not hard.
Food was mediocre. I’m Mexican and this food is below average and so expensive. Honestly, look elsewhere for Mexican cuisine. More
Big menu, clean establishment. Staff is top notch, food is delicious. The place can get busy because the locals know what's up.
Excellence. And wonderful food. I am from Australia and just so much American and positive excellent restaurant. Thankyou More
Best Mexican restaurant around. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Food is consistently great and never disappoints.
I thought the food here was okay, but I’ve had better Mexican food elsewhere for cheaper.

Came here with some friends while we were staying in town. We actually came here for lunch AND dinner
Great Place! We live 2 blocks away and have been coming here almost weekly for a year now.
