DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ZOO. They’ve been known for neglecting their animals since the 60’s and even disregarded the health of their elephant Gita until she died without receiving help even though a “caretaker” noticed her distress far in advance. The male elephant Billy has been there since 1989 and shows obvious signs of distress. Many have taken it to city council to release him to a 15 acre forestry sanctuary in Northern California but the zoo denies him of that freedom in order to use him for breeding and tourism.

There are great wild animals to watch, but the zoo didnt have like the lion, snow leopard , tigers. The hippopotamus were in bad shape they look malnourished, and very small hippos. They were some areas closed due covid-19. The reptiles area are closed as well. The zoo should more African wild animals like the elephants, rhinos, wildebeest, honey Badger.

If you get there at 11 you can watch the caretakers clean their toes, do a little mani pedi action. Then they get showers and scrubs. All the while getting little treats, like a whole head of lettuce! Did you know elephants only have 4 teeth!!! So cool.

Since this is a cooler place while we were at the Prom and most students applauded after the guitarist heard electric songs at night.

Alzheimers walk felt rushed this year, but it's for a good cause either way.

Everything was lovely. A very clean zoo. Places to interact with animals. You can even actually hand feed the giraffes. Very good place to take children. We are yearly members

Elephants looked amazing, they all stayed near the shade and didn't want to move because it was so hot. We watched them get soaked with a hose and they seemed to love it.

We saw one very large elephant with tusks. I don't think I have ever seen one so tall! The exhibit where they inhibit was large and had a nice little water area

The elephants look pretty tired, but it was really nice, and the place looked like Jurassic park, five Star for that.
