Dentist of the year award should go to Zoe Pais. She is a great example of a really fabulous dentist who has a benevolent, caring and empathic manner (especially for a super nervous patient)...and special call out to Yvonne the receptionist too!!! After researching several dentists in the area and trying to ensure I chose a practice that would make me comfortable as a super nervous patient, I finally plucked the courage to make the call to Elgin Park Dental Practice. It turned out to be an excellent choice. My initial contact was with Yvonne the receptionist. She made me feel welcome from the start. Nothing was too much for her with my many questions - I could tell from her manner that this was a surgery that cared for its patients. Yvonne helped allay my worries quite a bit..so much so, I went ahead and made the appointment to see Zoe Pais a few days later. From the second I walked into the dental exam room, I felt comfortable with Zoe despite my extreme nerves. She listened to me - the reason for my fear (past traumatic dental experience) and what I wanted to achieve from the visit. She did the dental exam in such a gentle manner, reassuring me as she went and concluded by explaining her findings. I returned the next day for a scale and polish which turned out to be a quality experience. I felt so comfortable and valued as a patient that I opted for some further help from Zoe. I left both appointments feeling happy and content that I had chosen the right dental surgery as a super nervous patient...but also had the right dentist in Zoe to look after my dental health for the future. Thank you to Zoe for the great care and treatment ..and not forgetting Yvonne for giving me the confidence to go ahead with taking the first step to make the appointment.

I was here for a private check-up with scale & polish, my first dental appointment in longer than I cared admit (more the faff with NHS forms after turning 18 than anxiety), albeit just to ensure I had no issues and to get all the inevitable build-up scaled off. Whilst I wasn't super anxious, Mohammed Saqib put me at ease throughout and was the friendliest dentist I've spoken to. I felt confident giving him a run-down of my dental history, asking questions and being honest about my cleaning habits. He told me I could raise my hand if I got uncomfortable during the scaling (to be honest I braved the mild discomfort as I wanted it over and done with). His advice about caring for my teeth and when I should visit for another check-up was polite and positive. All in all, nothing of the Stern Lecture Dentistry I experienced as a child in my hometown so I left in a good mood. The reception staff were friendly throughout, right from the first phone call to when I paid after my appointment. I found the prices for private treatment to be the best in the area, being able to get check-up with X-ray *and* scaling in a single appointment is rare, but then again I had no underlying issues requiring further treatment. Definitely check this practice's website out if you're looking for private treatment in the area.

I really like everything about Elgin Park Dental Practice but was just a little bewildered about the advice I did not recieve from my dentist. In October I visited to get a new gum shield/gum guard - at the end of the appointment I was asked if I would prefer a soft or hard guard. In a hurry I opted for a hard guard, which was kindly sent to me as I live quite far away. When it arrived it was so uncomfortable that I thought there was something wrong with it. So booked another appointment only to learn at this additional appointment that the Hard Guard is supposed to be uncomfortable and the whole point of using it is to discourage me grinding my teeth!!! Oh! If only I had known that when I first tried it. I suppose you could say it was my fault because I live far away and should have asked more questions...but there again it would be good to know!!! Next time I will try to remember to discuss the issue thoroughly to save my a trip/ fee at the Dentist.

100/10 surgery! I needed some reconstructive work done on my front teeth after many bad experiences with other practices, and was recommended Anthony at Elgin park. Due to the damage to my teeth, I have met with many dentists in my time and Anthony is by far the most skilled, dedicated and thoughtful practitioner. I can see that he is passionate about his role and the work done for his patients, as well as working alongside his lovely colleague (who’s name I didn’t catch, but she is amazing too!). Anthony is very kind and thoughtful, consistently informing you of what he is doing and which tools he will use, as well as asking for consent throughout the process and checking in that you are okay. Not only is Anthony a fantastic human being, but a great dentist - I genuinely could not be happier with my teeth, I feel so much better about the way I look and less anxious about my dental hygiene. One of the thing you wouldn’t wish for in these crazy days is having a tooth ache.My daughter was in pain and I called Elgin practise for help or advice.They accommodated our needs straightaway and booked my daughter in for emergency next day appointment. Excellent service as usual.Practise adjusted to new situation very well.Great communication, easy to follow instructions.Jude - receptionists lady is always very friendly and helpful and offer the most convenient time for appointment.She arrange emergency appointment for my daughter and explained all changes and procedures.Very friendly lady. I have been a patient of Elgin Park dental practice for over 15 years. I have nothing but praise for the team. I recently finished my Invisalign treatment and I would highly recommend Anthony if, like myself, you would like your teeth straightened and to have a smile you don’t need to hide. From beginning to end Anthony was available to answer any questions or concerns I might have. I had regular check ups (I am aware it’s not always available with other Invisalign providers). Anthony was thorough and made sure we were on track throughout the treatment. Nothing seemed too much of a bother. He even managed to organise my retainers at a very short notice to fit in with my travel plans. Most importantly, I’m thrilled with the final result. I've always been a fairly nervous person when dental appointments are due, but since finding the Elgin Dental Practice & the expertise of Anthony, who always puts me instantly at ease, I've continued to feel relaxed & confident about the treatments that I've received. I also did some research prior to contacting Elgin Park Dental Practice as I needed, not only crowns fitted - which are impressively created 'in-house' & fitted on the same day, but was also interested in having a dental implant. Professional treatments all under one roof. Jenny, one of their receptionist's has a great manner of also making you feel relaxed & welcome & is very informative about dental processes & keeping you aware of upcoming appointments. I'm extremely impressed with this practice.

I joined Elgin Park Dental Practice in January 2023. I have nothing but praise for everyone. Receptionists are helpful and welcoming and my treatment from dentist Mohammed and hygienist Nick was excellent. I have minor mobility issues with a dodgy knee, so all surgeries being on the ground floor is very helpful. Parking in this part of Bristol is often restricted to residents and can be problematic, so an added bonus provided by the practice is a parking permit if required. On my last visit, I was even accompanied to my car to retrieve the permit ... such a kindness and with my slow, stick aided walking very much appreciated. If you are looking for a dental practice, I can highly recommend Elgin Park.

I have been using Elgin Park for about 7 years. I have always received fantastic treatment from Anthony, who is a clear, measured and efficient dentist. He also clearly tries to get to know his patients and will often asks questions about things we discussed at least 6 months before. He is also always supported by an equally efficient and friendly team of dental nurses. The office team are always very helpful and I appreciate their professional and friendly phone manner. *Specific COVID point- I have been impressed by the protocols they have put in place to make sure they can still offer their best standard of care in these difficult circumstances.

I have recently had several dental treatments at Elgin Park dental practice-One of which included an emergency root canal treatment. I was treated by Zoe who I found to be so welcoming, and very professional, I was worried about the pain I might feel during and after the procedure, however I needn’t have worried-Zoe ensured I was kept as comfortable as possible and really took her time treating me. The Practice is extremely clean and they have good social distance measures in place to help ensure patient safety. The reception team and Dental nurses are also very friendly and helpful- I would recommend this dental Practice.

I have always visited NHS dentists and just found that their work wasn't always the most reliable or aesthetically pleasing. I had a sore tooth a knew I needed a decent amount of work doing in a fairly small timeframe before some upcoming medical treatment. I came to Elgin Dental practice and met Dr Zoe Pais who has been terrific. I hate going to the dentist usually and was in tears when I first arrived but Zoe put me at ease, explained everything and gave me faith in dentistry again. It's been marvellous from start to finish and I cannot sing her praises enough. Thank you for being so kind to me. Thoroughly recommend!

My experience of Monday June 5th was beyond excellent: Ms Zoe Pais made time for me in what was a crowded schedule -since I insisted it was an emergency (and it was-for me!) I came in the same day and the dentist, Ms Pais, after consultation with me made a decision about the course to take and sent me off to the people in HaNHAM WHO DEAL WITH such problems..I WAS ABLE TO COLLECT the finished denture with its additional tooth by 3.15 pm and was home in Bath by 4!! REally, no-one could possibly have been more helpful. Thank you, very much indeed, Zoe.

Today (25th January 2022) I visited Elgin Park Dental Practice for an emergency visit. The Practice was swift to give me an appointment and I was not disappointed in the care I received. I was examined and treated by Zoe, an excellent dentist, professional, highly skilled, friendly and thorough, who dealt with the immediate problem and we discussed the next course of treatment. I am very satisfied with the high level of care and treatment I receive from Zoe at Elgin Park Dental Practice and from the polite, friendly and efficient receptionist team.

The staff at Elgin Park are very friendly and welcoming. I have Anthony who does my check ups and is great, easy to get along with and very informative. The ladies at reception go above and beyond when it comes to finding information out, if they do not know the answer, they will find out and give me a call if they are unable to get the information straight away. I also had a good experience with the hygienist, Adam, who was gentle and it hardly hurt when he was polishing my teeth! Would 100% recommend Elgin Park Dental Practice!

At an appointment to check, clean & polish my teeth, I pointed out I had a problem resulting from my previous visit - namely when flossing a gap, the floss got shredded due to the gap being tight & rough. The dentist offered to deal with that and to build up a gap in the other jaw to reduce the amount of food being trapped. I agreed but later regretted my decision, bearing the extra cost on the bill & the low effectiveness of that work. (Damage to floss is reduced but still happens & not much change re the food trapping)

It was good to meet Mo . He was kind , gentle and considerate. He saw I’d been lax with oral hygiene and cleaned my teeth well and reminded me to use the interdens brushes. He showed understanding when I explained the personal reasons why I’d let things go and suggested I see him after 4 instead of 6 months to check I was managing again .He did this without being judgemental or superior and I truly appreciate his discretion. The receptionists at Elgin Park are always very pleasant. Thank you all very much

Fantastic dental work by Mo Saqib I’m quite an anxious and fidgety patient, he immediately puts me at ease & explains the whole process as he’s working. I’ve had two fillings and a crown, all have been fitted & filled so efficiently they feel like just like new! The whole practice is so lovely & accommodating even with letting me bring my toddler to appointments when needed. Mo & Hollie are also great at dealing with my little girls dental needs. I can’t recommend this dental practice enough!

I had booked an appointment with a hygienist as indicated £57 (30 min) on their booking page. They called one day before appointment saying that the visit will actually cost 120£ with a dentist check up and if I want to proceed. I cancelled as I was not in need for a dentist. They just wasted my time in which I could make appointment with different clinic. Why you let people to book online new hygienist appointments if the actual cost is completely different? Very poor customer service.

I am most grateful to have been given an appointment at short notice. Zöe could not have been more helpful, explaining to me how to brush my teeth with my electric toothbrush in order to help with the sensitivity that has been getting worse. She was patient and thorough, and I found it most useful. I am incredibly pleased with the work I had done. I have always relied on the NHS for dental care but as I had a broken veneer I knew that this would have to be paid for privately. I do genuinely feel like I have been to a proper dental practice with a dentist who knew what he was doing and wanted to improve the appearance of my teeth with minimal intervention. As a new patient this year to the practice, I have had a few appointments now and finally had the implant that I have wanted for ages. It was a great experience, Ceri is so gentle, there was no pain, (not even discomfort!) in fact if I couldn't see it, I wouldn't know that it had been done! Parking is easy, all the staff are just lovely and I've never had to wait. I would highly recommend this friendly, welcoming and professional practice to anyone.

In March I saw Anthony for a maternity dental appointment. Having always been an anxious dental patient, I was immediately put at ease by his gentle and kind manner. He was very reassuring and positive to myself and Paisley, the dental nurse present. The first dental practice I've gone to that's not NHS (due to long waiting times) so initially I was quite reluctant to be paying extra and to have to go private. However my experience is very comfortable each time I go, with really friendly staff. Had a speedy and comfortable treatment today. Consistently reassured me and informed me of the process throughout the treatment itself which eased any worries. Would definitely recommend this practice.

Having not been to the dentist for over 3 years, I was literally sweating with anxiety about my new patient visit to Elgin Park (which I chose because of the fair prices, decent website and great reviews). I saw Dr Saqib who was really lovely and reassuring. He very calmly and clearly explained what he was looking for, my treatment choices, outcomes and next steps. Zoe, my reassuring dentist for a root canal treatment inspired confidence in me as she performed the long [almost an hour and forty five minute] procedure. She was calm and totally professional, in the way she attended to me, checked her work with an x ray before completing it. I had almost no pain afterwards which I think reflected her skill and meticulous approach. I am a very satisfied patient!

This practice offers a high standard of care from the friendly and proficient receptionists to the excellent professional standards of the dentists. I am in my seventies and during my life have been to many different dentists and none come close to this practice.. I was a bit disappointed to be charged £130 for a check and scale. i was in the chair just over 20 minutes and that seems excessive. I have moved from a dentist in Chiswick, London and I would get an hour of check up and scaling for about the same price. Friendly practice and it seems busy and fair do's if they can charge this, but it is a bit costly for my reckoning.

I have always been rather unhappy with my teeth and alignment and today I completed my Invisalign treatment at Elgin Park. I am absolutely delighted with the phenomenal results. The treatment has been painless, easy and smooth and my dentist and his team just brilliant. A professional friendly personal service. I can not recommend this dental practice more highly.

What a wonderful team - my 96 year old mother had been very nervous about visiting the dentist for the first time in many years, but Anthony and all the staff were so kind and gentle with her that she was able to relax and found it a much nicer experience than she had expected. My experience was fantastic with Mohammed! Even though the idea of tooth extraction was nerve wracking and it was a bit of a complicated procedure Mo handled me with such an amazing bedside manner and did a great job! He told me the pain I was getting comes from grinding my teeth not actually tooth ache. Elgin Park is an extremely good dentist!

A lovely dental practice. The staff are meticulous, the building is beautiful and they have the best possible hygiene standards - which is particularly reassuring in the new Covid era. The staff were really calm and relaxed despite having to adapt to government restrictions. Antony sorted out my teeth in no time and the whole experience was a dream.

The implant procedure was carried out with a minimum of pain and discomfort. I was told what to expect and I was given detailed instructions for aftercare plus the antibiotics and mouthwash I needed. A few hours after I returned home the practice phoned to check that I was all right and to reassure me that i could phone for advice if i needed it.

An appointment with Adam - Dental Hygienist. As ever, Reception staff were friendly and efficient. Adam and his assistant put me at my ease ( sensitive teeth ) and were professional and friendly. Adam administered an injection to numb my gums and I felt no discomfort at all. Made visiting the dentist almost a pleasure!

Great service except when you are trying to book in for your next appointment and the Receptionist tells me what I pay for and what I am entitled to. I already know this and do not really need everyone in the reception room to know my business. I am well aware of what I pay and what it covers.

Needed an emergency appointment to fix some broken teeth. Receptionist answered phone immediately and was very helpful, the dentist I saw also rearranged his day at short notice for me and fixed my teeth to a high standard, you’d need to squint to tell they’d been broken. Would recommend.

Mo Saqib is an excellent dentist providing a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. My first experience was for an emergency repair for a cracked tooth and resolved in three hours despite us being a two hour drive away! Check-ups and hygienist services also well managed.

Efficient, friendly and reliable I have been going to this practice for over 30 years formerly as an NHS patient, now as a private one. The dental treatment is of a high quality and the reception staff are always very helpful.

I had an extraction which is not nice but the skill to remove my tooth was there my nerves were handled and it went really well. Not what you want but the service is excellent and the pain very little and quick skilfully done.

I recently saw Zoe for treatment, I was really impressed and pleased with how kind and gentle she was due to my nerves. She reassured me and explained every step of the procedure. The practice is also really nice and clean :)

Well posh dentist. I went in for an extraction. I was wearing an Underground Resistance hoodie. I was asked to pay straight away before any work was done. Bit cheeky I thought. Dentist was Decent enough, complex job.
