I am a dental phobic due to previous bad experiences and I have been having treatment under sedation for the last 10 years, as I couldn´t cope with any type of dental treatment. Because I have recently moved to Bristol from Cambridge, I started looking for a dentist who provided treatment under sedation. I had a badly broken down back tooth and a work colleague, whose also petrified of dentists, gave me an excellent recommendation about this dentist (Jon Bassanini). Although this practice doesn´t offer treatment under sedation, I decided to attend for an initial consultation, and thank god I did!! I was shaking when I went for my appointment and I nearly cancelled it as I couldn´t imagine how would I be able to have any treatment done without sedation. The truth is that I have never been treated with so much attention and empathy. The dentist not only was extremely professional and understanding but his banter made me look at him completely different as I have ever seen any other dentist before. I felt I was being treated by someone who genuinely cared about me and had the purpose of helping me in the best possible way. I had to go back for a second appointment to have my tooth fixed and I was obviously nervous. However, after having the treatment done I couldn´t believe I had been able to cope with the treatment. I didn´t feel a thing, not even the injection, and the dentist reassured me throughout the treatment with everything he was doing. When I left the practice I felt ecstatic, and I´m still are! I think I will always be nervous about dental treatment but I can say that my dental phobia is cured now. I cannot recommend this dentist enough for anyone whose petrified of dentists like I was. I visited this practice recently feeling very nervous as I really don't like to visit the dentist. I walked in and was very impressed with the welcome I received, the receptionist was very friendly and even offered me a cup of coffee while I waited in the very inviting waiting room! I saw Dr. Jon Bassanini and as soon as I walked in I felt immediately at ease, he could see I was nervous and spoke to me in a very calming manner. I had a number of questions about the appearance of my teeth and how they could be improved as I am due to get married next year. Dr Bassanini was very patient and spent a lot of his time taking photographs and then going through them with me so I could show him exactly what my concerns were and what I was expecting to achieve. He explained the options available and didn't pressure me into any specific treatment option. I was impressed in how clear his explanations were, explaining all the advantages and disadvantages of every treatment option, so I could make a well informed decision. I have now completed my cosmetic treatment and there are no words to express how happy I am with my new smile. Furthermore, every single treatment step was painless and I could watch the television placed on the ceiling and even listen to music while I was having my treatment. I had a very bad experience at another dental practice so I have to say my visit to High Street Dental really was a breath of fresh air and I will be recommending them to my friends and family. I will now be returning to Dr. Bassanini for regular check ups.

On my emergency appointment I was advised my tooth requires extraction and quote ‚nothing can be done’. I felt like my problem was not addressed properly, the dentist made it seem like there was some sort of crack in my tooth making it unrestorable. I happened to mention Invisalign as I was wondering how the extraction would affect my plans and fair enough, got the information I needed although the part they were most focused was some deal they had going on at the practice. Happy to have gone elsewhere, I had my treatment and managed to keep my tooth - no shortcuts here. Staff were pleasant enough but the whole experience was just bad. Almost like all they care about is money making. EDIT - As I have mentioned, my tooth has been fully restored and there was no crack preventing it from actually being treated. Fair point to tell me about Invisalign treatment although I have only asked about it since I was confused how extraction would affect my future plans, I did not need to hear about your promotional offer multiple times.

I came to the High street dental clinic in a lot of distress after having a lot of pain through lockdown and my wisdom tooth getting progressively worse. I called the clinic, sent my x-ray and Jon called me back. He was able to calm me down and gave me hope, that the extraction of my wisdom tooth was possible after being told somewhere else that it was a very difficult extraction and needed to go hospital and getting it done with surgery and total anaesthesia. Bear in mind there is a long waiting list and this was not gonna happen any time soon. Jon agreed to see me that same week. Jon is an excellent professional, very skilled, perfectionist and gentle. I didn't feel any pain and he took my wisdom tooth out without problems. He also seemed very confident and able to calm me and reassure me that everything was going to be okay as I was quite stressed. He also explained the whole procedure which I found very helpful. Highly recommend!

I cannot rate Jon and the team highly enough for my dental treatment. First things first, the treatment speaks for itself - Jon did such an incredible job and I literally haven’t stopped smiling since - I love my teeth now and I’ve had so many compliments! I have so much confidence when smiling now! From start to finish Jon was incredibly professional and made me feel at ease. I had Invisalign treatment on my upper and lower teeth, as well as composite bonding to fix chips and wear, and whitening. At all parts of the process Jon clearly explained all of my options and I didn’t ever feel like he was trying to ‘sell’ to me - just whichever option was right for me having weighed up the pros and cons. I can’t believe what a difference this has made to me, and all at such a reasonable price (I had been to several Invisalign consultations prior to seeing Jon and High Street Dental was significantly cheaper). I started off with an emergency appointment, the staff were very accommodating and friendly, they fit me in the same day (over their lunch break). I saw Jon who extracted my tooth and the entire appointment was the most pleasant dentist experience I have ever had. I decided to go back and get the rest of my teeth sorted with Jon. I had teeth removal and a bridge and again as much as going to the dentist is usually an unpleasant experience, I have to say it was very pleasant. I have had bad experiences with dentists in the past not communicating what they are doing and doing procedures wrong (why I needed a bridge in the first place!) and Jon's bedside manner was outstanding, he's is also very careful and does the job properly. Something of which I have found to be rare. Overall I couldn't recommend this dentist more. I have since located to Exeter but still travel up to use this dentist

I have just finished my Invisalign (and many other things) journey at high street dental and I cannot recommend the practice enough. Firstly, Jon is an exceptional dentist. He has such attention to detail. Not only that but he is also a very warm person and puts you at ease. I had quite low expectations for what could be achieved with my teeth but he made lots of suggestions based off my goals that have truly transformed my smile. I was also recommended to see Jose the hygienist who must be the most thorough hygienist I have ever seen who has hugely improved my gum health. Thank you to the dental nurses and receptionists too. The whole team are just lovely and caring and it has really been a pleasure coming in over the last year. So if you are considering starting a dental journey with high street dental, go for it, you won’t regret it!

I had my first check-up after years with Dr. Marco Cascone, and it was absolutely brilliant. I felt I was listened to, I had the opportunity to ask all the questions and doubts I had in mind. Furthermore, I received answers and advices for every single question and the visit was not rushed at all. Dr. Cascone felt friendly and approachable, but at the same time very knowledgeable and competent. He really took time to explain to me the mechanics of my bite and possible issues and solutions, he was very transparent on times and costs, without forcing me into any unexpected treatment. The dental nurse, Karla, was smiling and friendly too. Overall, a very positive experience. Finally, the place is clean and everyone was wearing a mask, which is a plus in times like these! I feel I can trust this clinic for the health of my mouth.

Never been to dentist for 30 years due to a bad experience when I was young, a real phobia... All staff exceeded my expectations and made me feel at ease straight away. I had 2 fillings & a tooth extracted & never felt a thing, not even the aesthetic going into my gums. I was scaring myself before I went in but Dr Jon Bassanini was a definite Pro!!! As a nervous patient I really appreciated the initial call to discuss the procedure and that filled me with a lot of confidence. Compared with other root canal options in Bristol your prices were a lot more manageable and although I hope not to need any more procedures for a while, I would certainly return and recommend your treatment to anyone in a similar position. I was very glad of your updates throughout the procedure and felt everything was in safe hands. Finally found a dentist surgery that actually cares. Marie on reception very helpful and friendly, perfect person to greet people when they walk through the door. Can’t praise my dentist John highly enough, made me feel relaxed and confident in getting my smile back. He talks to you and explains the whole process, happy to answer questions. Every appointment I have attended John always finds time to talk and get to know you, this really helps if your a nervous patient. This place isn’t like a-lot of other dentistries, so many have turned into conveyer belt systems that rush you through the whole appointment. High street dental actual care about there patients and give you time to understand what needs to be done. Also greet communication by phone, email and WhatsApp.

I recently had the opportunity to undertake work experience placement at High street Dental Clinic for a week and the staff were very friendly and supportive. Observing this dental clinic further encouraged my desire to pursue a career in the dental field as the dentist I shadowed, delivered a quality treatment to every patient that entered. Not only does this dental practice provide treatments to its customers but also delivers advice and an stress-free atmosphere. Furthermore, watching all the patients leave with smiles on their faces shows this dental practice is one of the best in the Bristol area. Utterly professional! Dr Jon Bassanini is a phenomenal dentist; I have been fully satisfied with both the procedure the result. Also I have done one implant with Alfonso, eccellente!! He is a magician; I can’t tell any difference between the implant tooth and my natural after 3 years. I would highly recommend Jon Bassinini for any dental work which needed to be carried out; my whole experience with High Street Dental was the best ever. The receptionist I spoke to, to book the appointment for my son was extremely helpful and got him booked in very quickly as he was in pain. Jon Bassinini was the dentist he saw and the help and advice from him was first class. He fully explained a couple of options to him so he could make an informed choice and followed up the options with an email. I am so happy with this clinic, in special with Dr Jon Bassanini, he is kind, friendly and very professional. I had bad experiences in the dentist clinic before but now, I am a new person. I was recommended to come to this practice by one of my work colleagues. I had been suffering from really bad toothache for months and my NHS dentist kept giving me antibiotics saying that I had an infection, however, the pain never went away. I saw Dr Jon Bassanini and he explained me the problem I was having in great detail. What I had was the nerve of my tooth affected, and I needed root canal. He saw me as an emergency appointment and took the nerve out of my tooth. The pain went away completely, it was like magic! I then went back and had the root canal completed by Jon, didn’t feel a thing. I can’t recommend this dentist enough

I was very impressed and extremely grateful for the very kind, calm and professional approach of Dentist Jon Bassinini. I took my Mum, who has advancing Alzheimer’s, to see him for a second option after another dentist said it was too difficult to fix her broken denture plate and suggested dental extraction (something I tried to explain really wasn’t appropriate for Mum). Dentist Jon’s care of Mum was wonderful - his gentle manner helped her to relax so that he was able to do the work he needed. He not only fixed the plate but improved it and also gave excellent ongoing care advice. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

Thank you to the HSD for saving my tooth after a filling had come out during lockdown. I was screened by the dentist Jon over the phone, and sent a picture if the tooth over email. Within an hour I was sent a quote and offered an appointment. The new protocols for waiting downstairs and everyone wearing PPE were very well executed, and I definitely felt safe from catching coronavirus. The filling was very deep near the nerve so not an easy task, but Jon's handiwork was excellent and you can barely tell the tooth has been filled. It was a painless experience and I would happily reccommend this dental practice.

Due to my dentist retiring and on my wife's recommendation I joined the High street dental clinic in 2001 as a private patient. I had some bridge work carried out by Charlotte Bishop which I have been very pleased with. Since moving to the North East this year and having to change dentists I have had some very complimentary comments on the work done by her by my new dentist. I wish that I had not needed to change my dentist but I can not thank Charlotte enough for the dental work she did and how she looked after my teeth. I can thoroughly recommend her and the hygienist for work done over the last 16 years.

I will start by saying that I am very nervous when it comes to the dentist. It causes me awful anxiety. As soon as I met Dr Jon I immediately sighed a breath of relief. He was so welcoming, friendly and reassuring. He listened to all of my concerns about my teeth/smile and fully informed me of all of my options with all the advantages and disadvantages to each treatment. He made me feel comfortable and there was no pressure at all. For the first time I felt like I was in complete control of my treatment. I love my smile. I can't recommend Dr Jon Bassanini highly enough.

I moved to Bristol from another city not that long ago and needed urgent dentist appointment. It was not easy decision as I have not had a chance to do my research and choose my new practice yet. I am very sceptical about new doctors in general and now I can say it was a great choice. The staff was very friendly and understanding. I was mumbling over the phone in a massive pain and the lady there was very patient. Jon did an excellent job on my teeth. I had an extraction and then an implant and throughout the whole process he explained every aspect of the treatment to me in detail. He is also a master at pain relief, which is important to me, and I never had any pain, despite the implant surgery. The finished product is aesthetically perfect and so far comfortable and practical. I wholeheartedly recommend him. It will be a loss to Bristol but a gain to Madrid when he transfers back there at the end of May.

Excellent, had to have a wisdom tooth removed and was anxious about the procedure (not having had any of my teeth removed before). The dentist (Jon) kept me informed about the procedure throughout (and emailed me a few weeks afterwards to see how I was getting on), an extremely professional dentist and I felt hardly any pain during the procedure. I highly recommend this dentist and will be going again in the future.

I’ve just gone through the Invisalign process with Jon and he has been brilliant throughout the process. Before starting Invisalign I had a genuine fear of going to the dentist but Jon and team have definitely cured me of that fear. I used high street dental for Invisalign and it was amazing! The package they offer was really comprehensive and appointments were easy to book. I had a filling repair on three of my teeth at another clinic on 5th July. As my bite was off, and the other clinic didn't have availability for a further adjustment (which was on 6th July) any time soon, I needed help from another clinic.

Saw José today for the first time, which can be daunting. He was fabulous, as have been all the people I have had contact with there. If you are searching for a dental practice to take good care of you. Look no further than the High street.

Very abusive when they ask you to pay in advance. They don't trust customers even if you have been many years with them. They only think in their incomes and not how the customer feels about this abusive behaviour.
